"TELL ME Ms.Reynolds," Dr.Geller began as I sat across from him, my legs tightly crossed and my body tense as I eyed my hands that was folded in my lap, "Tell me about that night."

"What night?"

"With your friends?" He added, "When you guys thought it was sensible idea to go on a secret and unknown mission, endangering yourselves and the lives of others."

"Oh that night," I glanced up at him and watched him scribbled down things in his notebook, "Where should I start?"

He looks up at me momentarily, "How about we start at the beginning and work our way up. Why don't you tell me about the plan you guys made for the mission?"

I smirk a little, "This whole thing goes farther back than a plan."

"Okay, how about who started it all?" He continued, "How did this plan end up getting one of your friends shot and a bunch of people dead in one of your classmate's house?"

My smirk dropped completely, "Well, it all began when Marcus came to King's.."

A knock on my door startled me awake, but I groan when I hear Billy's voice on the other side of the door, "What?"

"Get up, it's time!" He yelled through the door and I huffed.

"I'm not going." I grumbled and suddenly my door swung open to reveal him and Petra standing at the doorframe.

"Uh, why not?" He asked and walked further into my room, making me notice his formal attire.

"Well, maybe because I'm not in the mood to limp all the way there," I pointed over to my crutches and sat up, weakly. I rubbed my tired eyes and look up to see Billy holding out his arms, which I grab to pull myself up.

"You know, everyone is expecting you to come, Brynn," Petra informed me as I limp over to my crutches.

I hiss at my side and glance at her, "Well I'm not. I can barely put on my own clothes." I watch her eyes wander to my sports bra and shorts which I've worn for a few days since I haven't been able to put on anything else. It hurt too badly.

After that night, I fractured my leg badly enough to have a cast and the bullet that hit the side of my stomach was dislodged in lower ribs ended up giving me a major internal bleeding and bruise which hurts like hell.

"Brynn, please," Billy continued, "No one has heard from you since that night-"

"Okay, so go and tell them I'm okay for me," I interrupted and he gave me a look, making me sigh, "Billy, this thing that you guys are having-"

"It's a funeral, Brynn," He corrected me, his voice croaking a bit, "We're having a funeral for one of our closest friends and you can't even get out of your room for it."

"It's too much," I explained, "I can't- I can't deal with that right now, okay?"

"Nobody wants to deal with it, alright?" He sternly said and I glanced at him as tears slid down my cheeks, "But you know what? We're still getting our asses out of bed and going over there because it's not about us!"

"You don't think I know that, Billy?" I whimpered, "You don't think I obsessed over this day since that night? You don't think I want I to get out my room just for him?" He stares at me silently, tears welling up in his eyes as I wipe mine away when I leaned on my crutch, "It's too much, Billy."

"You're acting like you're the only one dealing with this. You're acting like this isn't normal for people," He claimed, "You won't even say his name!"

"Because I can't!" I exploded, slamming my crutches on the ground which caused pained to shoot up my side, but I ignored it, "It's my fault that he's dead! If I had just-"

"No, Brynn," He cut me off, "Don't try and say what you could have done because it won't change anything! Lex is dead, Brynn, and you're being the only one who is acting like they watched him die."

"Billy-"

"Lex was my best friend," He gritted, "I have cried, gotten pissed at the world and myself, but I mourned and I got out of bed this morning, no matter how much I hate myself for the part I played that night."

He rubbed his forehead in frustration and suddenly went over to my closet, making me raise a brow, "What are you doing?"

He didn't answer me until he pulled out a black dress and placed it on my bed, "You are going to get dressed and you are going to go to the roof so we can go put Lex to rest."

In anger, he left the room, brushing past Petra, who stood there in silence. She eyed me for awhile before sighing, "I hope you do know that you're not the only one. We were all there that night. We all saw him."

"But I was the last one he spoke to," I argued, my voice hush as another tear slid down my cheek. I stare up at her, watching her wipe away the tears that dared to fall on her cheek before looking away and mumbling, "Lex is dead because of me."
