Jasper was in the drop ship groaning in pain as Clarke and Mira sat either side of him with Monty a couple feet way. Mira looked up, when she heard people yelling at Jasper for waking them up.

" Don't listen to them, Your gonna be just fine.....I promise " Mira stroked Jasper's hair out of his face as she smiled softly.

" I'm gonna get some water, watch him okay? " Clarke said to Mira, who nodded before the blonde left.

Jasper moaned in pain louder causing the people above them to yell.

" Shut the hell up " Mira yelled at the people above them before looking at Jasper, who was groaning and Mira began to stroke his hair as she shushed him soothingly before she began to sing.

" Days seem as if they'll never end ".

" Sun digs it's heels to taunt you ".

" But after sunlit days, one thing stays the same ".

" Rises the moon ".

" Days fade into a watercolour blur ".

" Memories swim and haunt you ".

" But look into the lake, shimmering like smoke ".

" Rises the moon ".

" Ohh, close your weary eyes, I promise that the autumn comes to darken fading summer skies ".

" Breathe......Breathe.....Breathe ".

Mira singing slowly trailed off as Jasper's groans had calmed down and Monty looked at her softly.

" That was beautiful " Monty smiled at her.

" Thank you.....It always used to help me, when I was sad....in pain.....like I.....couldn't go on " Mira replied as she smiled at him before looking down at Jasper, who leaned into her soft touch.

It was day time as Mira helped Clarke with Jasper, who was groaning.

" The grounders cauterised the wound, saved his life " Clarke said as she cleaned Jasper's chest wounds.

" Saved his life, so they could string him up as live bait " Finn said as he walked over to them and leaned against a wall " Garden of eden, the saint ".

" This is infected, he could be septic " Clarke sighed before looking at Monty " any luck on using the wristbands to contact the ark? ".

Monty didn't reply and just looked at his best friend.

" Monty " Clarke yelled.

" Hey, easy up " Mira snapped at Clarke, who just glared at her.

" That would be a firm no " Monty told her.

" my mother would know, what to do " Clarke sighed.

" How's he doing? " Wells asked as he kneeled besides Clarke.

" How does it look like he's doing, Wells? " Clarke snapped.

" hey....I'm just trying to help " Wells reassured her.

It was silent before Clarke looked at Wells " Alright? You want to help? Hold him down ". 

Finn and Wells held him down as Monty stood with Mira next to him holding his arm reassuringly.

" I'm not gonna like this, am I? " Monty spoke as he looked at Clarke, who was heating up a knife.

Clarke then pulled the knife out of the fire, when it turned orange and hesitated before placing it on Jasper's wound causing him to scream in pain.

" Hold him still, I need to cut away the infected flesh " Clarke yelled at the boys as Monty and Mira held onto each other tighter.

Suddenly Jasper's eyes rolled to the back of his head.

" Stop it, you're killing him " Octavia yelled as she kneeled besides Clarke, who was checking Jasper's pulse.

" She's trying to save his life " Finn defended. 

" She can't " Bellamy said as he entered. 

Wells stood and glared at Bellamy " Back off ".

" We didn't drag him through miles of woods just to let him die " Clarke said to Bellamy.

" Kid's a goner, if you can't see that, your deluded " Bellamy snapped at the blonde " He's making people crazy ".

" Sorry, if Jasper is an inconvenience to you but this isn't the ark every life matters " Clarke defended.

" Take a look at him.....he's a lost cause " Bellamy told her as he gestured to the boy.

It was silent before Clarke looked at Octavia.

" Octavia, I've spent my whole life watching my mother heal people, if I say there's hope, there's hope" Clarke told the younger Blake.

" This isn't about hope....it's about guts " Bellamy told them " You don't have the guts to make the hard choices....I do, he's been like this for 3 days, if he's not better by tomorrow, I'll kill him myself " Bellamy then walked over to the ladder and looked at his sister " Octavia, let's go ".

" I'm staying here " Octavia said not looking at her brother, who looked at Mira before he left.

" Power hungry, self - serving jackass " Monty scoffed " He doesn't care about anyone but himself " he then looked at Octavia apologetically " No offence ".

Octavia just shrugged.

" Yeah, Bellamy is all that " Finn sighed pausing before he continued " But he also happens to be right ".

Everyone looked at the boy knowing he was right but Mira wasn't going to give up on Jasper, he saved her and now she was going to save him.

Mira walked out the dropship and over to Octavia.

" Hey, I'm gonna see if I can find something to help Jasper " Mira told her.

" Are you sure you should go by yourself " Octavia questioned with worry.

" I'll be fine...." Mira reassured her friend " I'll be back before you know it ".

" Be safe " Octavia said as she hugged her friend.

Mira nodded and pulled away before heading towards the forest.

Mira had been wondering for a while. She had passed the border into the grounder territory, she had also grabbed some herbs that might help Jasper as she walked.

Suddenly she heard rustling and turned only to see nothing, she yelled, when she was pushed against a tree with a knife to her throat.

Mira's breath quickened as she looked in green eyes that belonged to a girl that looked to be a few years older than herself.

The girl began to speak in a language Mira didn't understand, the younger girl gasped as the knife pushed against her throat more as the older girl glared.

" I don't understand " Mira swallowed as she tried to not tremble in fear.

The grounder girl noticed and her gaze softened as she let go of Mira.

Mira sighed in relief and leaned her head against the tree behind her.

" What are you doing in Trikru territory, sky girl? " the grounder hissed.

" I'm trying to help my friend.....he was hurt " Mira told her.

Suddenly the two girls jumped, when a war horn was heard.

" The fog " the grounder said as Mira looked at her in confusion.

" What " Mira said in confusion.

The grounder quickly grabbed Mira's hand and began to run as the younger girl protested.

" What are you doing? If you gonna kill me just get it over with " Mira shouted as she was pulled by the grounder.

" Quiet " the grounder hissed as she shoved Mira into a cave.

" Look if you gonna kill me just get it over with " Mira said as the grounder turned around.

" I'm not going to kill you, sky girl " the grounder rolled her eyes " If I did I would of left you to die in the fog".

Mira sighed as she ran a hand through her raven hair before she sat on the ground of the cave, the grounder watched her before walking to the wall opposite her and sat down.

Mira looked at the woman before she asked sheepishly " What's your name? ".

The grounder looked at Mira surprised at her question.

The grounder looked at her before answering " Lexa ".

" Lexa....that's a pretty name " Mira smiled at the woman, who looked down shyly, Mira paused before talking again " Thank you for saving me, Lexa ".

Lexa nodded at Mira.

Mira looked at Lexa " Were you the one that hurt Jasper? ".

" No.....it wasn't me personally that hurt the boy " Lexa replied the older woman was silent before she spoke again " My people see yours as a threat ".

" Why though? We haven't done anything? " Mira scoffed the woman.

" It was a warning....your friend crossed the boundary " The grounder told her. 

" So you spear him through the chest " Mira raised an eyebrow " You couldn't have put signs up....or had a conversation ".

Lexa felt her lips move up at the girls comment " Trikru territory was beyond that border.....there were orders to kill any trespassers ".

" So....why didn't you kill me?......I'm trespassing on your territory " Mira looked at Lexa with a questioning gaze.

The woman looked away from the teenager and stood to her feet " The fog should be gone by now.....you should get back to your friends ". 

Mira looked at her before sighing as she stood up and walked off but quickly stopped and turned to face the grounder " It was nice meeting you, Lexa " Mira smiled at her before walking out of the cave.

Lexa watched as the girl walked away, she could tell she was different, a fire in the sky girl that drew her in.

" Bellamy " Mira called, when she saw the older man.

" What the hell are you doing out here? " Bellamy snapped as he approached her with some of there people behind him.

" I came to find some medicine for Jasper " she replied.

Bellamy was about to scold her but was stopped, when a scream ran through the woods and they ran to the yell and saw charlotte looking down at Atom, who was covered in acid burns in horror.

" Son of a bitch, Atom " Bellmay ran over to the boy with Mira behind him.

Atom panted in pain as he whispered something under his breath and Bellamy leaned closer and hear him whisper " Kill me.....kill me ".

Bellamy stood up as charlotte wander over to him and handed him the knife, he gave her.

" Don't be afraid " the little girl told him.

" Go back to camp, you two charlotte " Bellmay ordered and the girl and teens left leaving Bellamy and Mira alone in the woods.

Mira saw the look on Bellamy's face and she grabbed the dagger from Bellamy and slowly kneeled before Atom, who was crying in painMira stroked the top of Atom's head and slowly brought the dagger to his neck and stick it into his neck slowly causing blood to rush out.

Mira continued to stroke his hair as the life slowly left him.
