"This is going to be the most pleasant day of my life. We're going to live our lives to the fullest." Eric said as he stared at his girlfriend who was sitting right beside him on the deck of the yacht. She was in a blue bikini and Eric wouldn't stop eye fucking her.
We took Saturday off to enjoy before Catherine's wedding tomorrow. It wasn't just us but the bride and a couple of her friends. We left them at the beach house while we enjoy on the yacht. On the other hand, I invited Daisy and Eric invited his girlfriend, Jupiter. They were very delightful and honoured to be invited to such a rare occasion.
This past week was a pure bliss to me. Daisy and my friends bonded and became very close. In just a week, Daisy won their trust and became more closer to them than I am. Maya - who developed a hatred towards her at first eventually let down her walls and allowed her in. It was as if the bad girl squad and Maya's squad had being friends for a very long time.
Our lessons and therapy flowed perfectly. Our friendship blossomed like a flower and we became the inseparables. Of course, there were many rumours about us dating but we never mind. During this time, I realised we have a lot of things in common. We like the same type of hardcore music; the same type of movie and we eat almost anything presentable to us.
My parents took a very strong liking towards Daisy. They love and respect her. Although, they hadn't spoken to her parents about the pregnancy because of how busy they were, they got to know who Daisy really was. She hangs out a lot at our home and makes herself as comfortable as possible. Mom likes cooking with her while Dad likes listening to old songs on the radio with her. They even go grocery shopping sometimes and leave me behind.
I love the pureness in her spirit, her sense of humor, confidence and ability to tell the truth at the right time. She is the eye of her own storm and a dynamic hurricane. She is the type of girl that women would love to hate. Her walls were made of steel and only those she loved could get to pass through them. Indeed, I judged a book by its cover. For all the years I've known Daisy, I judged her according to what I see and hear. I had never tried to unravel what's below the surface.
I know exactly who she is without her armour. She has a soft spot for all her loved ones. She makes me feel divine when I'm around her. The sound of her laughter is like a melodic music in my ears and her smiles were as genuine as possible. My emotions for her swirl like ocean current; deep and strong. When she talks, I couldn't help but stare at her beautiful eyes. They forcefully held a place in my mind and refused to let go. All I think about is her sometimes.
Though, her estranged relationship with her sister remains a mystery to us. Something's definitely wrong behind closed doors. They were both pleasant but never to each other. I never got a chance to speak to her about the enigmatic Cole and I'm definitely not about to bring up disaster in a peaceful environment.
"Where's Daisy?" Maya asked, her eyes flickering around to find Daisy.
"Don't worry, she's relaxing in the front of the yacht. Maybe it's time to call her back." Said Jupiter before she turned to me. "Zack, can you please call her? I don't want her to miss the champagne."
I nodded and smiled in response. The yacht is small and belongs to the Lockwood family. Tonight was Catherine's bachelorette party and she had already set with her friends on the exclusive, luxurious yacht enjoying her last day before becoming a married woman. We, on the other hand were going to a concert in Nebraska which was suggested by Maya. We have our Captain and his wife as our guardians. Sure enough, being friends with a billionaire family has it's own good side.
I matched to the front of the yacht and stopped dead on the spot when my eyes collided with the figure that greeted me.
She sat with legs outstretched on a blue blanket, leaning on her skinny hands with long splayed out fingers. Her shoulders were pushed forward and her back was straight and erect. Her head was thrown back as she enjoys the warmness of sun shining brightly. I could see a knowing smile playing on her lips and her eyes sealed close behind the dark but transparent sunglasses.
Daisy is every bit of perfection. She looks like a fantasy goddess in a simple white set of bikini. Even in the dark, you could see her like bright star in the night. The white creamy tone of her skin reminded me of whipped milk as the sunlight shone on her. And damn did that stir something very exciting in me.
"It's not like you've never seen in a girl in bikini, Zack. Stop fantasising and tell me what brought you here." She said without looking my way.
"You were the only one missing in the group. We thought we should call you back to join in the fun."
She finally lifted her head and removed her sun glasses. Our eyes locked and something changed in her eyes. She smirked as she stood up and approached me. She was so close I could smell her flowery scent. It was a warm natural sweet scent that drives me crazy and melts my heart.
"You're attracted to me, aren't you?" Her voice was very low and seductive.
My brain wasn't functioning well because the next thing I did was pulled her closer to me until her chest was fully pressed against mine. My fingers practically trail up and down her silky arms before moving to her naked back. Our breaths hitched and shortened as we enjoy our bodies pressed against each other. Her hands were slowly rubbing against my torso and it sends shivers down my spine.
I gently grabbed and her face between my hands. I stared at her ocean eyes and got lost in them. I was wearing a swimming trunks and a thin simple T-shirt but I could feel the heat and softness on her body nestled against mine. She moved closer and opened up before I even ask her to. My eyes were fixed on her soft lips as my fingers played with the soft curls along the side of her head.
We were practically exploring each other hungrily while our friends were waiting for our arrival. I couldn't care more what they decide to do. I wasn't thinking about anything but the delicacy of the body that clung to mine like a skin. There was nothing basic about what's going on between the two of us. Daisy is just as attracted to me as I am to her. We tried to ignore this for a very long time and I think it's over at the moment. I can't fight back the attraction. Damn was I having a whale of a time.
"Guys! What's..." Leslie's voice trailed off and her eyes widened when she caught sight of the figures mingled.
We reluctantly let go of each other but there was no awkwardness. Leslie seemed embarrassed to interrupt though.
"I was... just..."
Daisy intervened. "We're coming." She shortly replied.
I was on cloud nine when Daisy put on a white top. Although it was transparent, I'm glad it doesn't allow others have a glimpse of what's underneath. We returned back to the group and joined in.
"The champagne" Shawn simply said before he handed a glass of champagne to me. He took another and proceeded to give it Daisy. We looked at each other when she refused to take it. Instead, she stood up and clang a fork on the glass to grab their attention.
"Can I have a minute with you guys?"
They turned their curious eyes on her.
She stared at each and everyone of us before her eyes lingered on mine. "Few weeks ago, we were rivals. We have being in Maxwell High for decades but we were never friends. I was the mean girl - as all the students called me. I was the bully and the head cheerleader of the school. I was the slut - something I have no idea existed."
"In my opinion, what I had done was right. Before, all I had were my friends. They were the only people that care about me and cherish all I have to offer to them. They were my family, my sisters, my best friends and mentors. Yes, I dislike Jenna Coleman but you have to understand things happen for a reason. And yes, I'll think exactly about Jenna what you think if I were you. I wouldn't have seen her flaws. But I did."
She flipped back the blonde curl blocking her eyes and continued, "I'm glad what she's doing to me isn't what she's doing to you guys. That's the reason why I want our imperfections to stay between us. Anyway, thank you so much for all your love and support. Thanks Eric for making my best friend," he raised a cup with a smile in response.
"And thanks Zack for letting me have such a wonderful time. Thanks guys for being my good friends."
"Cheers!!!" They raised their flutes together, happiness and pride in their smiles.
"But I have to tell you something. Something only two or three of you guys have a knowledge of." I didn't try to stop her from delivering the old news. After all, it's high time they know what we're hiding.
"I can't drink champagne anymore or any other alcoholic drink - though I'm barely eighteen. I can't be a cheerleader for a reason. My main focus is my studies at the moment. But all these changes were due to one particular reason."
Silence was all I could hear as they confusedly stared at her, their eyes filled with bewilderment. For a third time, Daisy glanced at me as if asking for permission. Permission granted, I nodded my head.
"Zack and I are expecting a baby."
