Taking my eyes off of the rear mirror, I heeded a very disturbing silence in the car. Quickly, I glanced at my sister, Eden who was sitting next to me on the passenger seat. Her eyes were unmoving, as if she was having a deep thought.

Eden looked exactly like our dad except she had Mom's blonde hair. At twelve, she was smarter than her age. She was very funny and cordial and liked spending time with her family. She mostly kept things to herself and preferred staying at home, rather than going out with friends. Every school day, I picked her up. Sometimes after school, we would get ice cream or simply visit the park for leisure.

"What's the matter Eden? You okay?" I asked, giving her a second glance to see her reaction.

A smile quirked at the corners of her lips. She brushed back her long curly hair, trying to look relaxed. "Fine. I'm just thinking about a way to trick you into getting me ice cream." She giggled.

I chuckled, shaking my head at my sister's attempt to pursue me to get her ice cream. Should have guesses. "Well, except it's not your birthday or anything special."

"I have my ways." She flashed me a huge grin, her hands moving in gestures.

"I believe so."

"So..." She started to say but trailed off. Sighing, I knew where it was going. "Will you get your sweet little chipmunk of a sister some nice dessert please? It could be anything, be it Doritos, cookies, ice cream – yeah that's a nice one."

Eden gave me the large puppy eyes she knew I couldn't possibly resist. They always remind me of when she was a baby. She was fantastic at manipulating me into doing whatever she wanted because she had me wrapped around her pinky finger. I gave her a last glance before rolling my eyes in defeat.

"Fine. But I have a condition."

"Whatever you want. I can steal Mom's new recipe and beg Dad..."

She started to list but I cut her off.

"That's okay. I want you to tell Mom that I'll have lunch with my friends. I'll be back home at five after the football practice."

She had a tendency to quickly forget everything I instructed her to inform our parents but when I get in her good mood, she always remember.

"Consider it done." She replied back almost immediately.

The car screeched to a halt and stopped in front of the house. Eden unbuckled her seatbelt and reached behind, in the backseat to pick up her bag. She got out of the car, waved and ambled towards home. I waited until she disappeared inside before I drove off.

As my hands stroke the steering wheel, my mind drifted off to the conversation with Jupiter. Daisy was like a poisonous snake, once she bit a victim with her venom, she screwed up the victim's life forever. Once she despised a person, that person would become the subject of continuous maltreatment and bullying.

Slowly, the Roman café came into view. I parked the car in the parking lot and took a minute to inhale deeply, before going out of the car. I walked inside the small café, the scent of freshly brewed coffee hitting me before I looked around. People were waltzing in and out, some just chatting at their tables, and the workers were doing their jobs but there was no trace of Daisy. A quick glance at my wrist watch indicated I was two minutes late. Jupiter didn't specify the right time though. Rather, she only mentioned after thirty minutes.

The café was usually filled with college students, middle aged men and women reading magazines and newspapers, couples chatting animatedly, all surrounded by plastic cups. They had quite a lot of potential customers, so it was a popular café in the town.

I found an empty table at a nice angle and settled down. A waitress approached me grinning like a Cheshire cat. I smiled back, then ordered coffee for myself. Thoughts swiveled around my mind about whether Daisy was coming or not. It could be just a prank but the honesty I saw in Jupiter's eyes told me otherwise. If she didn't come in ten minutes, I would leave. She couldn't just call me and leave me hanging.

No sooner, I felt her presence before I saw her. Daisy liked to stand out, so she always outshined everyone. Her messy blonde hair was packed up in a high ponytail and her eyes were covered with sunglasses. She had a fanny pack wrapped around her waist which defined the curves she hid beneath the outfit. Her long, tanned legs were on display, resulting in many heads to silently turn towards her direction. Without any hesitation, she met my gaze and strolled towards me.

"Two ham and cheese sliders and a chocolate frappe please." She said to a waitress before sitting opposite on the opposite side of the table. She took off her sunglasses and dropped it on the table. For the first six seconds, all we did was stare into each other's eyes, not uttering a single word. She held my gaze, but instead of the warmth of a lover it was filled with an icy hostility.

Our staring contest was broken by the waitress. Our orders were brought in and immediately, Daisy dug in, eating like a horse. She didn't hide her starvation and didn't eat like a girls usually do, rather, she ate like a long starved wolf, clearly devouring the ham and cheese sliders from the silent moans. Most girls took very small bites and ate slowly; this was my first time witnessing such an unladylike behavior. Not even once did she glance my way. When she finally finished eating her dessert, I had already dawned my coffee. She wiped her mouth with the handkerchief before composing herself and staring back at me.

"That was good." She said, shaking her head. This was my first time speaking to her, so I kept quiet and listened. "I was famished." She added.

"Look Daisy, I'm not here to talk about bullshit. Tell me what you want now or I'll leave because I've better things to do." I went straight to the point, wanting to get out of there already.

"Don't call me that. My name is not Daisy." Her eyebrows furrowed at me, her full lips trying to form a thin line.

I leaned forward, folding my forearms on the table. Her eyes were drawn to the muscles them instantly. "Pardon?"

I noticed the sharp inhale she took before locking eyes with me again, "It's Candy. No one calls me Daisy."

"But your name is Daisy."

"Do I look like a Daisy? A daisy is a beautiful, delicate flower but me, I'm rough and the total opposite. I'm bad and bad, and bad." she winked at me playfully.

"I know you as Daisy, I can only call you that. Whether you agree or not."

She smirked. "Not my cup of tea, dear Zack."

"Whatever, I don't care. We're not here to talk about that shit so stop acting stupid. Let's get straight to the point. Are you trying to manipulate me into doing something horrible because Mrs. Miller paired me with your sister?"

Her eyes went blank, " Thanks for the information but that's not what it is. You fucked me, so you can't be in a relationship with my sister." Her eyes narrowed. "Or are you?"

My jaw ticked and my hands clenched into fists at her accusation. Anger was boiling inside me as I stared daggers at her. She obviously remembered what happened. Was she trying to use that mistake to ruin my reputation like she did to all the boys that cheated on her?

"Don't you dare blame me." My voice was low but threatening. Unlike other girls who would've scurried back, Daisy smirked with a devilish glint in her eyes.

"I wasn't trying to blame you because I was partly drunk when it happened, so I remembered everything. I don't beg boys to fuck me. They come to me like a lost puppy willingly, always ready to chase after me to the end of the world until I agree. And that's exactly what you did."

A weight of regret settled in my chest. I wished I hadn't succumbed to my friend's persuasion. I should have stayed at home with my family and maybe learned a new recipe with Mom or helped Eden with her homework. I shouldn't have drunk the vodka instead resist their heavy persuasion. It was my fault everything went wrong that single night.

I looked around before sighing when I noticed none of the people were paying attention to our conversation. It was very dangerous to be there because any moment, a student could enter and find us together. My reputation would forever be tarnished for engaging in a scandalous affair with the bad girl.

"What do you want, Daisy? If you want some cash, I'll give you just that but please, let's move on from this nightmare," I said softly, trying to be calm.

She hissed, her eyes whirling around the café with a wicked glint. "Oh no, we're just getting started, Zack," she said my name with mockery. "I have enough thank you very much. I know that would be the first thing that slips out of your mouth but anyways, that's not what brought us here."

For a split second, I closed my eyes to stop myself from wrapping my hands around her long, flawless neck. "What do you want?"

She halted, gazing at me with her piercing ocean eyes, challenging me to say something. I kept quiet, my heart hammering in my chest.

"I'm pregnant, Zack."
