"I'm in love with you, Zack. I've always being and will always be. I love you, Zack. "
I didn't even know when I said that. I didn't want to loose him this time. I lost him to Skylar and then to Daisy but I can't let slip away from my grip this time. I'll try every possible way to have him all to myself.
I love him since day one though, I was very shy to approach him. And when I mustered up my courage, he had already began dating another girl. The girls he date were bombshells, unlike me. I'm just like a potato next to them. I can never compare myself to them.
I wasn't expecting what I saw in his eyes. Zack stared at me in disbelief and loathe. I was surprised to see it in his eyes. It makes me feel disgusted by myself. But I thought the feeling's mutual. I thought all those eagerness to spend his time with me and those compliments were all gestures that he liked me. But it turns out I was wrong.
"What the fuck?!" He half screamed, his fingers raking through his hair and his other hand on his hip as he glowers at me.
I can't take back what I said so I let it be. "I've being in love with you since forever. And I know you love me. You just don't know how to tell me because you're stuck with my sister."
"Fuck no!" he shot back immediately. I had to flinch away because he has never raised his voice at me. "That's not true."
I smile as I move closer to him but this time, he moves back. "I know everything about you now. You have a crush on me and wanted to ask me out after your breakup with Skylar. But you were too shy to do it. Everything went downhill when Daisy got pregnant."
"It wasn't just her fault. I got her pregnant so stop making it look like it's Daisy's fault!"
I felt a pang of jealousy pierced through me for defending Daisy. "It is. After all, she was the one that seduced you and forced you to sleep with her while you were drunk."
"That's not true." He points a finger at me angrily. "You're lying. We slept together because we were both drunk. We had a chemistry and we still do."
I shook my head in frustration. "Zack, you don't have to do all of these. You can decide what to do with your life because it's yours. You don't have to force yourself into having a relationship with your worst enemy and having a baby at a very early stage."
He stood still, his eyes unmoving. I wanted to jump on him and kiss his worries away but I know he wouldn't agree. His eyes desperately searched mine as if waiting. My blood runs cold when I saw the sad, disappointed look on his face. I so badly want to wipe it away but I know I can't.
"What are you suggesting?" He said in a very calm, husky voice.
I took a step forward and this time, he didn't budge. I didn't stop until only a feet was between us. "I'm suggesting we follow our hearts. We're in love, Zack. We can still be together, it doesn't matter the circumstances."
He chuckled as he stared straight into eyes. "We just start a relationship and ignore the fact that your sister is pregnant with my child and my best friend is in love with you?"
"Zack, when love is involved, nothing else matters. This is about us and not about them. It's our choices." I was trying so hard to convince him. Tears formed in the back of my eyes as I await the response.
"You went out on a date with Korbin and you gave him hope. Why would you do that?" His glare was so intense I felt so small before him.
"I did it because I wanted to be close to you. I wanted to confirm whether you actually have a crush on me or not. I asked Korbin and he told me everything. He said after Daisy got pregnant, you decided being with her is for the best. You gave him permission to date me. I really enjoy his company but I don't like him." I didn't lie, I just want to bare my heart out to him.
When he said nothing, I continued. "Trust me, this is our only chance. We have to use it before it's too late. What others say is not important. It's about us and what we want. You don't have to be with Daisy and have the baby. You can be with me, the girl you truly love."
He had an expression of stunned surprise pinned on his face. Slowly, he pulled away. He grins back and I can feel the coldness radiating out from him stronger than a hundred watt bulb. It sent chills down my spine and made me cower away.
"Korbin. My best friend. Daisy. The mother of my unborn child. My parents. The people that supported me with love and financial support through this. You expect me to betray them just to be with a pathetic liar like you!" His voice filled the room and his temper was only increasing.
I moved back to the darkest corner but he kept coming closer.
He has a sinister smirk on his face and his eyes look demonic. My heart was pounding in my chest and I was panting heavily. My confidence was long gone and being replaced by fright.
"Let me make something clear to you, Jenna." He pushed his hands into his pockets as he glares at me. "I never loved you. I only ever had a crush on you and wanted to be a friend because you were lonely. But I should have known what I got myself into."
"All those time Daisy bullied you and called you names, we were on your team. We didn't know we were on the wrong team. Looking back, I guess you deserve them all. Daisy was right - you're nothing but a hypocrite. "
I feel the tears roll down my cheeks and pain gripped my heart. I mentally punched myself for believing Zack would want to date me. I was wrong once again.
"you know what? Even if you dig the deepest hole to bury the truth, it must aggravate later. I trusted you, Jenna. I really do but you betrayed my trust. You don't care about the people around you. You only care about yourself. Naomi trusted you. Korbin did too. You're a disgust to me and I don't want to ever see you again." he groaned as if trying to collect himself.
I watch as he swiftly turn, pick up his bag and started to walk away. I covered my mouth with my hands to muffle my sobs. Just then, he stopped by the door and turn to me.
"I agree with you when you said everyone has the right to choose what he wants. You said I can decide to do whatever I want with my life. It's my decision to make, right?" He made sure I met his gaze. "I chose Daisy and our baby." And then he left me crumbling to the ground. I heard the door banged shut and my world tumbled upside.
All because of one stupid girl. I stood up after finally gathering all my strength. I'm not going to let her win this round. I won the battle against Cole last time and nothing's going to stop me from winning this time. I let out a deep exhale before leaving to my parents' bedroom with determination.

"Alicia, did you take the money from the safe?!" I heard Dad yelled from upstairs.
Mom and I were in the kitchen preparing dinner. I was in the dinning room arranging the cutleries while Mom's cooking dinner in the kitchen.
"No! Everything okay up there?" My mom replied back, concern clear in her voice.
I gulped when I heard Dad's quick footsteps as he descend down the stairs. He entered the kitchen looking confused. "Five thousand dollars is gone. They're gone without any trace."
Mom stopped stirring the meal and turn to Dad angrily. "Honey, are you sure you didn't take it?"
"Of course. In fact, you were the last one to lock the safe. I should be asking you."
Suddenly, the front door flare open and a crying Daisy ran inside. She didn't stop. We all watch as she climb the stairs, went to her room and shut the door. Mom and Dad look at each other and shrug.
"Jenna, while we were gone, did someone apart from Zack came along for the reading?" Mom asked curiously.
I put on a brave face and smile. "No Mom, it was just the two of us."
"And you didn't take it? Maybe you wanted to buy something for yourself? You know, Only your Dad, you and I know about the password." Mom said kindly but I shook my head.
Dad must have noticed something was off because he slowly walked towards me. When he stops in front of me, I look down. Dad gently grab my chin and tilt it to the side. His eyes immediately set on the long shallow slit on my neck and I tried not to cry.
"What the... What happened to your neck, Jenna? Who did this to you?!" he pushed my hair to the other side to get a clear view.
Mom ran faster than a cheetah and grabbed me. She got a look and gasped in shock. "Sweetheart, what happened? Why are you crying? Who did this to you?"
I didn't even know when the tears started pouring like a running tap. I burst into sobs and hugged my Dad. "I'm so sorry but I can't do this anymore. I can't deal with all her problems any longer." I cried into his chest.
Dad pulled away to stare at me. "Tell me what happened, Jenna. We're here for you."
"Yes sweetheart." Mom said as she gently rub my back.
"After Zack and I finished our lesson, Daisy came back frustrated. She demanded I give her money but I don't have any. When she realise I was telling the truth, she used the knife against my neck and demand I take her to the safe. I refused at first so she injured me. I'm so sorry Mom, Dad. I betrayed your trust and told her the password. I'm so sorry."
I could feel the rage radiating from them. I smirk and throw my fist mentally in victory. Noe of what I said was true. In fact, Daisy wasn't even home. But because she deserves it, she'll get it. I had to make it look real so I intentionally injured myself. The victory was worth the pain.
"DAISY! COME DOWN HERE NOW!" Dad roared so hard my ears hurt. But it's okay.
I heard the door open and close as Daisy emerged on top of the stairs. It was as if she was about to go out with her fanny pack wrapped around her waist. Which I was so glad about. Her eyes were glassy and her face was flushed as if she had been crying.
The moment her feet touch the floor, Dad lunged towards her and grabbed her by the hair. Her eyes closed in agony and her hands automatically wrapped around Dad's hands to push away his hands from her hair. Exactly what she deserves.
"What the fuck?!" She screamed as she struggled to pull away.
"I saw her put it in the fanny pack." I whispered to my Mom in a very small voice. Mom nodded and instruct Dad to check the fanny pack.
He unbuckled it from around Daisy's waist and zipped it open. Sure enough, there was the money I inserted a couple of hours ago. She left it in her bedroom when she went out and I used it to my advantage.
She wasn't so surprised because she was used to it. Whenever she infuriates me, I steal small things or even take my personal stuff and put them in her room. Then I put up an act in front of our parents who always quick to my defense.
"Why would you try to kill your sister because she refused to give you money?!" Dad let out a howl of anguish as he threw the money on the table.
"I'm going to call the cops right..." Mom started to say.
"I didn't steal neither try to hurt her! Please, let me deal with my current issues!" she started to cry once again.
"Or better, a psychologist!" Mom ignored Daisy's pleading. I was very happy internally. I love watching Daisy cry in pain because of me.
She wiped away her tears and glared at me. Instantly, I saw the hatred and disgust in her eyes like I saw in Zack's but I don't care. "You know what? Fuck off!" She slipped away from Dad's grasp and ran out with all her might. Dad wanted to follow her but she was too fast.
As I watch my parents furiously call out her name, I smirk with satisfaction. I know I'm going to win this time too.
