Her lips pouted invitingly when I refused to tell her where exactly we're going. I planned all of these and I hope it turns out great. Tonight, I'm going to make her feel like the most luckiest girl in the world. I want to give her the adventures and glimpse of what being with me is like. I'm going to prove to her it's worth trying a relationship.
There are so many beautiful girls but to me, Daisy is a unique beauty. She looks ravishing and exceptional tonight. Her long blond hair fanning down her shoulder in waves like a settling dust cloud. It looks natural and lustrous and I badly want to tangle my hands in them. She looks very casual yet sexy and beautiful at the same time in the dress. Her florid cheeks and lovely eyes held a warmth I've never thought I would see in her eyes. She's a goddess.
I pull up in front of the local hotel. It was quite small and built specially for tourists but people come here often to enjoy the sea view and the delicious food from the restaurant. It might be small but it's very lavish. It has the finest art collections and the beautiful view of the sea is a sweet divine. The old sylvan designs on the wall gives it a historical yet fashionable vibes.
There's a rooftop movie theatre with the clear view of the sea. I think it's the perfect place for our date. It actually belongs to the Lambert family and was suggested by Skylar. Being a girlfriend to an heir has it's own advantage.
I took Daisy's hand as we entered the hotel. The huge, luxurious reception greeted us with warmth unlike the freezing breeze outside. I met the receptionist and we quickly went through the process. There aren't much people to which I'm glad of. We slowly walk to the salesman with his tiny bar that seems to have all the sweets and snacks in them. I ordered two bowls of popcorn.
"What kind of movie are we watching, Zack? And why would you bring me here? I thought we're going to Jiffy Meals where you work." she said with a smirk as we await our popcorn to be served. I link my arm to hers and tightly grip her hand.
"It's a very special night to us, Daisy. I want to make it very memorable and unforgettable." I thanked the salesman and took the popcorn.
We walked to the elevator and got inside with two other people. I look beside me to find Daisy already staring at me with s blank expression. I nudge her and raise my brows in questions.
"I don't like watching romantic movies. My best genres are mystery and action. I enjoy fantasy but sometimes, they get overdramatic and annoying." She huffed and pouted at me.
I lean closer and grab her chin gently, our breathes fanning. "Unfortunately, you have to bear with me, my love for I'm very romantic by heart." I peck her cheek just as the elevator dimes open.
I let my brain be still when the cold, chilly breeze hit us like tons of bricks. The snow had stopped since in the early afternoon, although the fog has worsened. Overall we're just going to enjoy our night.
I look towards Daisy to see her reaction. Her eyes were wide open as they wander around with an astound look on her face. I smirk when I realised she likes the place. There weren't many people and the movie was about to start. I took her hand and went to the middle seats in the second row from the front. Still, Daisy was impertinently gazing over the sea.
"Relax babe, the movie is about to begin. Don't worry, we'll take a look after we finish watching the movie." I said with a smile. She scowled but said nothing.
"It's perfect. I like it in here." I heard her whisper. I squirmed closer and leant her head on my shoulder to make herself comfortable. I chuckled internally before taking her hand again and slowly rubbing a finger against her soft skin. And soon, the movie began.
It was a beautiful yet sad story set in the ninetieth century about two teenagers who fell in love at a very young age. It was sad because they were deprived from being together and ended up committing suicide.
Daisy concentrated on the movie the whole time. I guess the movie was so good she got absorbed in them. Even when I tried to sneak a hand and wrap my arm around her shoulders, she didn't noticed. My chucked went unnoticed too but I'm glad she likes the movie.
The screen went black and the credits starts rolling. Of course, the movie is cliché and exaggerated but the love they share is undeniably beautiful. They were ready to sacrifice everything for each other. Although they didn't have a happy ending, they know their love was one true love, one that they can never share with others.
"What do you think of the movie? You were quiet the whole time, babe. I thought you said you don't like romantic movies." I said as I slowly got up. I look back at the chair to find our popcorns untouched. We forgot about it because we were so absorbed with the movie. People were murmuring as they leave the movie theatre.
Daisy sighed with her eyes fixed on the ground. "Yeah, for this reason. But I enjoy the movie. I think there are lessons to pick about love. Motivational love." She took my hand and we walked towards the rail to stare at the sea.
Daisy looks beautiful with her eyes closed and her hair tousled and flying in the strong wind. I took my time to study her pink full lips and her red cheeks from the cold. Her long eyelashes were lazily fluttering on her cheeks. She looks beautiful like an angel and I badly want to reach out to kiss her.
"It's so wonderful." She opens her eyes and turn to glance at me with a pleasing smile. "Thanks fro bringing me here. I enjoy the movie though I'm not into romance."
I took her hand from the rail and pointed at the exit door leading to the elevator. "Common, this is just the beginning of our date night." She chuckles before nodding her head.
We got inside the elevator and it took us back to the first floor. I led my date to the fancy restaurant to a table by the window. A kind waitress approached us and asked what we would love to have. I picked the menu and observed the list of meals. I looked up at the waitress and began ranting my order. When I finally finished, both the waitress and Daisy were staring at me strangely. She refused to order anything.
"Zack, are you out of your goddamm mind?! We can't afford this!" Daisy half screamed with a scary look pinned on her face.
I nodded at the waitress in assurance before she left. "Daisy, I came here prepared. I just want us to enjoy today. I don't care about the cost." I reached out and place my hand on hers. She gazes at me weirdly but slowly nods her head.
"You've been here before?" she quietly asked me with her hand supporting her head on the table. She was staring at me with curiosity filled in her eyes.
"Nope. It was actually recommended by Skylar, a good friend of mine. She's dating Richard Lambert and comes here pretty often. In fact, it's one of the Lambert's famous hotels." I explained.
She nodded her head and her waves joggle too. She pursed her lips as if in a deep thought. "Skylar? Your ex girlfriend? Former head cheerleader?" She shot me a glare and I almost fall back in my chair. Was that jealousy?
The waitress came back at the right time with a cart. She carefully arranged the dishes on the huge table before she left. Daisy's eyes move from the food on the table to me then back to the food. "What are we going to do with all of this?"
I beamed at her before swinging into action. "My family and I sometimes take a night to visit a local restaurant. That night, we're allowed to eat as much food as we can. We're free to buy any food we want but it's rare. I cherish those moments and I thought it would be good if I adopt this method on our date."
Daisy looks at me with a sad smile. I wanted to reach out and comfort her but I know I couldn't. She must be thinking about her cold family and how she wish to be as close to them as I am with my family. But I want her to know that my family can also be hers. They love her unconditionally and are happy she's carrying a gem.
"That's nice. So, what do we start with?" She brushed off the melancholy.
"This milady," I said pointing at the Lasagna stuffed spaghetti squash. "is a creamy, cheesy light dinner and I know you're going to like it." I used the pair of tongs to pick one of the two squash and drop it on her plate.
With elegance, she picked up a knife and fork and tore a piece. She shoved it into her mouth and closed her eyes as she chew. A satisfactory smile pulled on her lips and she grinned. "Amazing."
"This is the chorizo and shrimp with vegetable stew." I pointed at it. My mouth was watering from the view of it. "It tastes like a tomato rich broth." I served Daisy then served myself. We moaned together after we took our first bite. We looked at each other and laugh.
"I like this one too. It's spicy and I love spicy food especially in sauce. Seems like our baby girl likes it too." We chortled again.
Daisy picked a corn and zucchini fritters. I should've known she was targeting it. She took her first bite and didn't even wait to gulp down her food before speaking. "What is this?"
"It's a corn and zucchini fritters. You can taste the zesty lemon and pepper flavour, right?" I said as I took a bite myself. She nodded and took another bite.
"Wow. You know all of these." She spoke but her eyes were greedily fixed on the shrimp wrap with mango slaw. "You remember the picnic we had together? I sincerely enjoyed it. You're a really good cook. I hope you'll cook for me someday."
I was unable to laugh because of the huge bite I took earlier. "Very soon sweetheart. But tonight, you're going to eat til your jaw hurts." I added just as I place the shrimp wrap on her lips, urging her to open up. She gladly opens up and took the whole of it into her mouth.
