It wasn't just one person.

There were two.

I stared at the couple in wide eyed amazement. Mr Coleman's eyes were ablaze with anger, his fists clenching and unclenching. He evinced a strong desire to murder us on the spot. His wife was next to him breathing heavily as she glared daggers at us. Her face sort of remind me of the evil witch in movies with her hair almost covering her face.

I tried to keep my emotions tightly reined in and keep my guards down. Eric was standing next to me staring back at Daisy's parents with the same intensity. Instead of cowering away and looking for an escape like he wanted to do at the beginning, he stood tall and looked furious. It was obvious what he found in Jenna's couch pissed him off.

Today, right here, right now, we're going to confront Daisy's parents about everything wrong with them. I'm going to expose every dirty thing Jenna did and demand an explanation from them. Having my brave best friend by my side makes me feel strong. I'm not a coward and I'm not about to leave this place until they explain everything to us. I could feel the determination in my blood.

Alicia stepped forward with a phone in her grasp. "You broke in?! How could you, Zack? We trusted you and treated you like a son. But in the end,you betrayed our daughter and left her for her sister. And now, you broke in and probably stole all the expensive stuff your eyes could lay on. I'm going to call the cops!" She raised the phone to her ear.

"Guess we'll both be arrested. Including her." Eric clarified in a rage filled voice.

Jared glared up and down at Eric with confusion written all over his face. "And who the hell are you? You're going straight to the cops, moron."

"Jared, We need to talk about both Daisy and Jenna. It's important you know what your daughters are up to." I tried to sound calm but all I wanted to do get away from the situation.

Jared laughed humorously and placed his hands on his round waist. "And ignore the fact that you broke into my house and searched through my daughter's stuff? You would get away with this. Better start making up lies to tell the police because I'm pretty sure they'll run out."

I sighed when he gave his wife the permission to call the cops. "Jenna drugged Daisy and tried to make her loose the baby."

Time slowed down as the couple stood frozen. Alicia's phone slipped out of her grasp and landed hard on the ground I'm pretty sure it broke but she didn't seem to notice. Jared's mouth was gaped open and his eyes were as wide as saucers. They were to stunned to move. For a moment, they glanced at each other and silently conversed with their eyes. When Jared turned his eyes back to us, he tried to seal his surprise and suddenly transformed into an angry beast.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO BLAME OUR DAUGHTER NOW? Seriously? Get the fuck out of here!" He pointed his hand downstairs, indirectly to the door.

I can't believe they won't listen to us. It was obvious they are hiding something because of their reaction to what I said. "You guys need to listen!"

"Listen to your shitty accusations? No! We would tolerate you trying to accuse our daughter of mental instability! You're the maniacs! Leave now!" Alicia followed in the footsteps of her husband. She looked angry but there was something in her eyes that told me otherwise. I could almost sense the fear in them. Like she was trying to hide them in the depth of her soul.

"Firstly, no one mentioned that your daughter is mentally unstable. Secondly, Why don't we talk about this?" Eric said with a smirk. He took out the old sachet of amphetamine and held it high in his hand.

Alicia gasped, her mouth hung with lips slightly parted and her face paled. They both look like they had seen a ghost. With nostrils flaring, Jared glowered st us but I could tell he's trying to keep his rage under control. He stood as if paralysed from neck up with his face red from anger. That was all we needed to know that they know exactly what's happening. Especially about their daughter's mental instability.

"When Daisy was admitted to the hospital last night, the doctor found a trace of amphetamine in her system. In fact, a very high amount which was approximately a whole sachet. The drug had expired which could have cause her a miscarriage." I explained as I take the old sachet from Eric.

"And you randomly guessed Jenna was behind all of this?" Jared asked sarcastically.

"No. We did our research and it all pointed at Jenna. Last night, Jenna was at the party. The drinks were non alcoholic in case you're wondering she got drunk and almost had a miscarriage. Someone must have drugged her Daisy's drink and after we researched, we found out that Jenna the last person to offer her sister a drink when she coincidentally found out that her sister wanted a drink."

They stared at me with stunned expressions, waiting for me to go on. "We had to make sure before taking any action so we came here. And guess what? We found old sachets of expired amphetamine in her couch."

I dared to take a few steps closer to them, my eyes searching theirs pleadingly. "Alicia, Jared, I know what we did was delinquent by breaking in but you have to understand and accept Jenna isn't who you think she is. And we need to know what's faulty about her to protect Daisy because she's very dangerous. She can harm Daisy any time."

"Basically, you're trying to tell us that our daughter is going insane!" Jared harshly spat out.

I panicked and held my hands up in surrender. "No..." I started to say but Alicia cut in.

"You want to know everything? Fine! Our daughter has a disorder she developed during her lonely childhood! Her sister bullied her and doesn't want to be on good terms on her! It's all Daisy's fault our daughter became so obsessed with becoming what she isn't! Don't you get it?! Daisy ruined our daughter's life! She chose a criminal over her sister, okay?!" She covered her face with her hands to muffle her sobs. Her husband pulled her into his arms, trying to comfort her.

"Are you guys satisfied? Now get out!" His eyes were filled with pure rage and hatred.

I'm so disappointed in them they made me sick to the guts. "And that's how it ends? When you know it in your heart that your daughter is crazy and trying to hurt your other daughter, is this what you're supposed to do?"

"What kind of a lame excuse is this?" Eric stepped in. "Have you ever questioned Daisy about what Jenna did to her when they were young? What kind of a monster she is behind closed doors? You're disgusting to me for taking Jenna's side when you know you're on the wrong side."

"You have no fucking right to break into my home and insult me the way you..." Jared started to yell angrily.

But I cut in. "And what about Cole? Even after everything that happened, you still took Jenna's side." I reminded them.

He rolled his eyes at the mention of his son. "Jenna made a mistake in the past, okay? She was young and confused and didn't know what she was doing. We tried to explain to Cole but she just refused to agree so we had no choice but to throw him out."

"That might be what happened in the past but we have to stop what's about to happen now. I warned you, Jenna is more dangerous than you think. You guys made a decision to side the wrong person. Daisy also made her decision to side the right person. Why are you guys so rough on her? After all, she was also young which is pretty unfair for her." I tried to reason with them but from the murderous look Jared and his wife were shooting me, I knew I failed.

"GET THE HELL OUT BEFORE WE CALL THE COPS ON YOU! AND WE DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU ANYWHERE NEAR OUR DAUGHTER! OUR DAUGHTER IS PERFECTLY FINE!" He threw his fist in the air as he screamed in anger.

This isn't over but I know it's time we leave. I don't want to cause any trouble blue in the neighborhood. I gestured at Eric and he hesitantly accepted. I glanced at the miserable couple one last time before we left them still standing there. We descended down the stairs and walked towards the door without causing any scene.

Just as I swung open the front door, a figure stepped on the porch. She was completely covered except for her face in a long thick coat. Her face mirrored the same expression as her parents previously. I used to think that face was innocent and delicate as flowers but I was wrong. I was so wrong. I naïvely fell into her trap.

"Zack! Zack!" Jenna called out as we walked past her. The only thing she received from Eric was a deadly glare.

I used to think of her as a person with a lovely soul. The beauty and innocence of her soul brought peace in a bizarre situation but now, it reminds me of a cruel dictator. I guess I overestimated because in the end, she taught me a lesson. You never judge a book by it's appearance.
