Looking for clothes to wear on a date is very difficult.

I looked through my closet, unpacking all my well-packed clothes as I searched for something to wear.

We were not going on a regular date to a restaurant so it would be unnecessary for me to wear in a fancy manner but I still struggled to look for something.

I eyed all my dresses considering whether it would be a smart idea to wear a dress on a date to an amusement park.

I sighed loudly out of frustration. My morale for that date begun to slowly fade away.

Just when I almost gave up, I heard someone enter my room.

"Luna, why are you unpacking your clothes?" My mom said, looking at the mess I made." Now your room looks horrible you need to clean it up."

I was so glad to know she came into my room at that time. I needed her help.

"Mom, I need your help!" I suddenly blurted out. I never thought that looking for clothing on a date would be so difficult.

"I hope you're not asking me to help you clean up this mess." She scoffed." I have no interest in holding your stinky clothes."

"Mom!" I yelled at the fact that she called my clothes stinky." I am not asking you to help me clean up this mess."

"Then what do you want me to help you with?" She said, tilting her head to the side.

" I have a date today." I lowered my head to avoid seeing her expression.

"That's great news!" She said with so much excitement.

"I don't even know what to wear," I added with my head still lowered.

"Wait... Who asked you out?"

"Xavier," I said raising my head to see her expression.

"Yay!" She jumped up and down causing me to furrow my eyebrows in shock." I told you he liked you."

"But mom---" she immediately interrupted me.

"Did he confess his feelings before asking you out?" She asked with a very creepy grin.

"Yes and---" she cut me off again.

"Did you tell him you like him also?"

"I don't like Xavier." I retorted, shocked at the conclusion she made.

"Then why did you accept to go on a date with him?" She crossed her arms and eyed me like I did something wrong.

"Because I thought it would be fun to go on a date to an amusement park in Germany."

"That is where you are going, what a nice choice for a date!" Her words shocked me because she did not judge the fact that I was going out with Xavier." You said you wanted me to help you with clothes. Let me choose something I think looks good on you."

She pulled out black buggy jeans and a white shirt. I gawked at her choice wondering whether that would look good on me.

"You love simple colors, so this would look good on you if you wear it with those cute black boots of yours." I left my mouth open when I realized that she helped me pick a nice outfit.

"You just saved my life. Thanks, mom." I said, grabbing the outfit so that I could wear it.

"It's just that you lack brains, sometimes you make me think you cheat on your tests because this was so easy and there was no need to make such a mess." She said ridiculing me, making me wish she could say 'you're welcome' rather than that.

I laughed at her statement and exited the room to get changed up.

When I wore the full outfit, I came to realize that she was right about it. The simplicity of the outfit made me feel comfortable and pretty.

I walked into my bedroom only to find my mom packing my clothes. I chuckled at the fact that she was helping me pack them when she said she would not.

"Not only am I sexy, but I have brains too. Look how lovely you look." I laughed at her statement, realizing that she was complimenting both me and herself.

"Thank you, mom."

"But your face looks too Luna-like," she added making me wonder if she could compliment me without insulting me.

"But this is how I look like all the time." I retorted. I hated the idea of doing makeup on my first date.

"Let me do just a little makeup on your face, just to accentuate your already existing beauty ."She replied.

I hated the idea but I allowed her to do it regardless. After a few minutes, she looked at me with satisfaction on her face.

I immediately turned my head to face the mirror on my bedroom wall and noticed the reason why she was so satisfied with what she did.

She did not do much on my face but what she did was enough to make me look prettier.

"Thank you, mom. I love it."  I felt very excited that I looked at my phone to see the time and I noticed that it was almost 3 PM.

"I hope your date goes well." She said with her hand on her chest.

I smiled at her and headed downstairs. I sat on a chair near the door so that I could immediately answer the door when Xavier comes to pick me up.

I sat in silence for a few minutes, when I heard the doorbell ring.

I immediately rushed to the door and saw Xavier standing in front of me. He was dressed up in black jeans and a white and black checked shirt.

"You look really beautiful," he said with a grin on his face." As always."

I smiled at the compliment and I was ready to compliment him also when I heard my mom scream.

"Oh, my, God! Xavier is at the door!" She yelled, running towards us. I was shocked she could even run.

Xavier laughed when he heard my mom scream his name.

"You are so handsome!" My mom said when she looked at him. "And extremely tall. Luna, why didn't you tell me he was this good-looking?"

Xavier immediately smiled widely at her compliments. "Thank you, ma'am, you must be Luna's mom. I am honored to meet you."

"Are you hearing that Luna? He is honored just to meet me. You aren't even honored to stay with me." She said with so much excitement that we all laughed at her words.

"Mom, we have to go, you can talk to him later." I was trying to interrupt the conversation because I know my mom would end up talking to him for a long time.

"Okay, have a nice time."

I walked to Xavier's car. I didn't even know he could drive but I liked being in the same car with him.

We sat in silence listening to a few songs. He was so focused on the road that I couldn't help but stare at him while he did.

I got startled when he laughed unexpectedly.

"What's so funny?" I asked wondering what made him laugh.

"Your mom is cool." He said laughing.

"Oh, she is and pretty annoying too," I replied.

"She came running to see me," he chuckled." How did she even know my name?"

"My mom is my best friend so I tell her everything. That is how she knew your name."

"That's cool. I wish I could be that close with my mom also." He replied with his eyes focused on the road.

"I would love to meet your mom," I said causing him to raise a brow.

"You will end up meeting her soon, " he smiled."  But she isn't as cool as your mom."

"I will be the judge of that," I said.

"Wait, is that the amusement park?" I said delighted when I noticed a Ferris wheel.

"Yeah, we have arrived. "He said parking his car." Are you excited?"

"Yes, I am. "

I couldn't help but smile out of excitement. This was my first time going to an amusement park so I was beyond excited. I held his arm as we walked into the amusement park.
