Sephiroth's pov

I knocked gently on the door that I heard sniffles and sobbing. There was a couple sad wails of sadness. It made my chest hurt to hear her crying. I didn't know if I should be frustrated or remorseful. I knocked for the second time gently with my knuckle.

"Sephiroth, please leave me alone." Her soft voice said.

I sighed and slid my back down the door. I leaned one of my arms over the knee that was up.

"I'm really not good at calming females down, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to have dinner with me?" I asked waiting for an answer.

There was no answer, there was just more crying. I must of hurt her bad.

"Curse woman for being sensitive." I mumbled with a bit of anger consuming me.

I heard movement behind the door and I knew she was behind the door. She sat down, sliding her back down the door.

"Ok, I would like to talk about what happen..." She said, while her voice cracked twice.

"Why did you say those things about, Rufus?" She question, then I sighed.

I stayed silent and let her ask her questions.

"Was the things you said Rufus does, true?"

"All of what I told you were the truth." I replied with a sigh at the end.

"Rufus was the one who put you down there?" She questioned with a quiet sob.

"I don't expect you to believe me, but sometimes I think I was meant to be down there." At the end of my sentence I heard the door unlock. I quickly stood up, then turned around.

I looked down to her short frame, she wasn't much shorter. She was 5'4 and I am 6'1. She had red puffy eyes, tear streaks on her cheeks. She wasn't crying anymore.

I felt her wrap her arms around me in a hug, I was taken aback a bit. I didn't know how to respond to her like this.

I finally understood that this was one of the ways people show affection. I then slowly did the same.

"Become shorter, so I can give you a real hug."

"What are you asking?" I questioned.

"I recommend I will smash your knee caps." She stated making me laugh.

I picked her up gently, making her yell.

"Put me down!" She yelled.

I just laughed and then put her down.

KNOCK!

KNOCK!

Two knocks came from the door that made my stomach twist.

"I got the door. If anyone see's you then-" I grabbed her arm gently and shook my head no.

No one should know that anyone still lives here.

"No one should know that anyone still lives here. Especially me..." I looked down into her glossy, brown eyes.

She was silent for a second. She suddenly took off into the next room, and came back with a sticky note.

"What will that do?" I asked crossing my arms.

"It's a note to say, that I have gone home." She wrote the small note and stuck it near the entrance, on the floor. She was silent again.

"Then....We need to hide you." Her small hand grasped onto mine, as we took off near the basement. Down the stairs we went.

Crack!

We both suddenly fell through the stairs, through about two floors. But I was the one who landed first, then catching her. Who knows if she would have hit the stone hard floor again, would she smash to pieces? She was like a glass doll, small and fragile.

"We really need to get the stairs fixed." She said out of no where. We both suddenly look at each other, in awkward silents. Both of our lips pulled up into a grin/smile. We both started laughing. I then put her down. We went through the dark basement, keeping in mind that there was high level monsters down here. She told me to stay where I was originally chained up. How I hated this place.

A low growl rumbled in my throat.

"Hey...." She put a hand on my arm. I looked down at her, feeling more calm.

"I will come back for you....I promise...." She then held onto my knuckle. With reassuring eyes, I hope she was keeping her promise.

"Alright....I believe you. But if Shinra puts one hand on your brown hair," I then picked up a glass bottle that was some how on the floor.

"I will kill him...." I crushed the bottle in my hand, making blood ooze down my hand.

"Sephiroth...." I shook my head.

"Get out of here, while you can. They might break down the door." She then nodded and started walking away. Once she was out of sight. I sat down in the corner of this dungeon. With a sigh escaped my lips, I felt something. I felt like misery had came back to me. I felt all of my happiness had left. I could hear the door open. I started to listen to their conversation.

Breanne's pov

I opened the door to see: Reno, Rude, Cloud, and my boyfriend, Rufus. I was surprised to see nearly all of them here.

"You didn't answer my calls, Breanne." Rufus spoke. He looked like he got a new coat, considering the one he gave me was shredded. I had to think of something fast.

"I didn't bring a charger.... All this time..." I lied, knowing that Sephiroth crushed it in his palm. He was silent for a second, looking into my eyes, seeing if I was lieing. My heart skipped a beat.

"Oh common, Rufus! You can look at her all you want when we get back." Reno joked. He then looked towards the three and nodded.

"Breanne. We need you back at the lab... Considering that you are a much different SOLDIER." I then nodded. I didn't know why I was going there.

"Okay." I smiled, then closed the door.

"But how long will I be gone and be at the lab?" I asked Rufus, as he put an arm around me.

"It might be days, but as long as you are back in my arms...." I have never heard Rufus say this before. Well...Because 1. You keep it professional at work. And 2. He is always busy being the president of the Shinra electrical company, but also the owner of SOLDIER. He lead me away from the door and to the car. Meanwhile Cloud went to his bike: Fenrir. But as each step I took I couldn't help but feel sad.... Sad that I was leaving Sephiroth alone, he has been down in that dungeon for years.... But Sephiroth never told me how did he survive..... But for once I kinda felt like I shouldn't be leaving.

As the car got further and further away, I looked through the back window. Seeing the mansion was getting further and further away, until there was no sight of it.

At the labs....

I didn't know why I was here. But Shinra lead me over to something that was covered by a white sheet. As he pulled the sheet away it was another being! I couldn't help but be astonished at this being that was in a tank, and that was filled with a certain liquid. Long, silver hair, bright aquamarine eyes! The eyes were beautiful! It had grey skin like the other being beside it called JENOVA.

"This being we found not too long ago, when we went to the caves on the edge of the wastelands. We call it SERGEB." Rufus explained to me.

"That's nice and all but, I think I am going to get back to work." I turned around and started heading towards the door. I just wanted to help Sephiroth at the moment. But I felt someone grasp onto my arm. I looked at the person and it was Rufus.

"Rufus?" I raised an eyebrow.

"I didn't say you can leave...." He was right in a sense. I was not dismissed.

"I knew you lied." I frowned my eyebrows.

"What are you talking about? Rufus, I would never lied to you." I took his hands into mine.

"That's what I love about you," He smiled and took me into a nice embrace.

It was good that he was believing me. Otherwise he might find Sephiroth and do something worse to him. I had to protect him.

"you are easy to corrupt." He finished his sentence, whispering the last part into my ear. Wait one second-

I yelped as I felt something sharp go into my neck. I was a needle.

"What was that for?!" I yelled at him feeling pain rush through my blood.

"That was SERGEB's cells. Plus who would love a weak girl like you? I only used you. Used you to gain your trust. Gaining your trust as a new lab rat." He growled. The pain was getting unbearable. My legs lost it's balance and I fell to the floor. Curling up in a ball as I screamed in pain. It suddenly went all dark and I saw black, nothing but darkness.

"I can't see!!!" I screamed in fright.

"I can't see!!!" I screamed again. I lost my sight. I was never going to see Sephiroth's face again. Suddenly I felt Rufus hit me on the back of the head with his half-sawed-shotgun. And everything went black.

Sephiroth's pov

It's been weeks since she hasn't returned. I felt a sense of anger inside. She lied to me. She lied to me! That's why I don't ever let woman or anyone into my heart. I thought she was the one! Now I am going to be cursed till the end of time itself. I am going to watch as wars go on. As people continue to fight. But most of all...

She was never coming back.

So sorry I left it off at a cliff hanger. Breanne can't see now and Sephiroth's anger is growing inside him. Will she be able to return to him. Or will he try to end the world like he once did? Find out in the next chapter!
