My arm stung like someone took a sledge hammer and smashed the middle of my arm. I honestly thought I broke it.
It took a while for me to convince the man to go up stairs. But it turned out there was more monsters in the cellar.
He mentioned something about a blade. It must have been in the mansion somewhere. I was willing to help the man.
He saved my life, I owe him more than I have now. But the least I could do is fix up his wounds. The man was stubborn, unwilling to go upstairs. I managed to convince him otherwise that we had to get his wounds cleaned, otherwise he might die from infections. I noticed it took a lot out of him killing that monster. He needed rest, he also looked like he needed food as well.

I was grateful to still have my life. But I couldn't understand why he was down there in the first place.
We made it out of the basement. He wanted me to stay either in front of him or next to him. I tried to ask how he got down there. But the only answer I got was a simple growl. I could understand that was probably personal, since I just met him today.

He sat down in the living room on the Victorian sofa to rest. While I went to search for some medical supplies.

But I didn't know where to start. So I went to ask the man. But I didn't even know his name in the first place. I needed to start with a introduction first.

"Um...Thanks for saving me. If it wasn't for my curiosity I wouldn't of gotten into that situation."

"Keep your head up when talking, it makes me think that you have more interest in the floor."

"O-ok." I answered embarrassed. It was hard to look at him, he was so handsome. And his eyes were intoxicating.

"Your doing it again, woman." He growled making me have a bad stomach ache.

He tapped the spot on the couch that was right next to him.

I nodded and took a seat next to him.

"Let's start over now. Have some confidence in yourself when talking, otherwise I wish to ignore your presence. I will just consider you as an empty puppet." His words hurt, I bit my lip holding back the sadness in my chest. But I can't show weakness. I am a solider after all, but not a very well trained one. Considering I wasn't even muscular. The other soldiers didn't include me in anything. I hated that very much. They called me a princess half the time for be prestine and pretty.

Others would call me weak. I never considered myself pretty.

I felt something grab my jaw breaking me from my thoughts.

"Did you hear anything I said?" He questioned, not out of anger though.

I nodded quickly. I pulled my chin out of his gentle touch. I felt uncomfortable with people touching me.

I looked into his intoxicating eyes and gathered the confidence to talk.

"I'm Breanne Gainsborough." I held out my hand, it took him a minute to respond.

"Gainsborough?" He questioned.

"My older sister is Aerith, but...she was murdered a long time ago. I became a solider to get revenge on the person who killed my sister."

He gave me a sly grin and asked "What do you plan to do to the man or woman who killed your...sister."

My fist tightened, I licked my chapped lips. "I will kill he or she slowly taking their soul with me. I know my sister has always gave mercy to the ones who harmed others. But I can't follow her steps that way." I answered, he gave me a simple nod.

"Sephiroth." He replied with his name. Crossing his arms to his chest. God he was ripped.

"Beautiful name. Nice to meet you." I said sweetly.

"So where is your medical supply's?" I changed the subject feeling embarrassed I called his name beautiful. But he really was beautiful.

"Why would you ask me that question? You should probably make your curiosity run again where you don't find something your expecting." He said harshly again. His words were like poison. The way he talked to me, hurt.

"I guess I could just go to the store and get some supplies..." I quickly stood up and straightened my coat. I insisted in not hearing his reply. I started to notice the storm was much worse. The winds where higher. Making my brown hair blow in the wind and a bit in my face.

I wished I would of brought a hair tie. My hair was past my waist. I started to run down the gravel road, hearing the wind howl. Midgar was just a bit further north.

In the meantime I started to see a road, meaning I was close to Midgar.

Time skip

Into the small store I gathered bandages, anaesthetics, pain killers, a first aide kit, a t-shirt that was black for Sephiroth. That man needed a shirt, and I was embarrassed to glance at his chest a couple of times.

I cashed out quickly, trying not to be seen too much.

I took the train to the wastelands of Midgar then followed a certain path to The Shinra mansion. Finally meeting a dirt road with beautiful tree's all in a big lining down the path. I noticed how grown all the plants were on the path.

The rain felt like small needles against my face. I tried to use my arm, shielding the rain away from my face. Until I heard a rustle in the bush. I ignored it considering the wind was strong as hell.

A few black figures were on the pathway. I stopped to see it was heading my way.

SHADOW CREEPERS!

I started to panic backing up as they got closer and closer.

There was three in total.

My heart rhythm went faster, shadow creepers were my fear! I felt spit bubble in my throat. I was terrified as hell! But I remembered what Cloud said "Never let things scare you, they should be afraid of you." His voice played in my head. One of the shadow creepers lunged at me.

I smacked it in the face with a two by four stick I found on the road near a broken fence. It faded but reappeared behind me I turned around quickly as it lunged for my throat. I held my left arm in front of me, the bad arm. I felt it's fangs sink into my arm, but there was two more. The other sank it's fangs into my leg. I screamed in pain and kicked the third one.

SLICE!

I heard the sound of metal cutting air.

I looked to see it was Sephiroth, he was fighting three at once. He got bit once, but killed all three of the beasts.

He walked over to my sprawled form.

"You didn't plan on sticking around to hear my advice on watch out for the monsters. Stupid Breanne." My eyes started to water. I was thankful he saved me, but from his harsh words and the pain. It didn't seem like he cared. He was sure self centred.

The tears escaped my eyes. His eyes were full of fury to concern. His eyes softens, almost like he knew what he did wrong.

He didn't say anything, I felt an arm go around my back and then a arm under my knees. The pain from my arm and leg stung. Tears just flushed out of my eyes from the pain. I felt a spark in my gut when he picked me up.

My eyes felt heavy, I just rested my head against his bare chest and was taken into darkness.
