꒰ Sandy꒱

NAME :  Sandy Son
BIRTH DATE: July 22, 2009
GENDER: Female
BREED: Ragamuffin
ADOPTION DATE: August 7, 2014
AGE OF ADOPTION: 5

Sandy was Hyunjun's first pet as an adult. His aunt and uncle had a dog when he lived with them but he never bonded with the dog so he doesn't consider him as his first pet. He was living by himself in a small apartment and going to college and although he had friends he wanted a furry companion so he adopted Sandy! He gave her the name Sandy based on the coloration in her tail and thought it would be a cute name for her. Sandy was a very shy cat and had trouble bonding with previous potential owners. When Hyunjun walked in to meet her she warmed up to him very quickly and meowed so loud when he walked out the room Hyunjun knew he had to adopt her. She was always very clingy and playful with him and Hyunjun went a little crazy and basically turned his apartment into her apartment but he loved her a lot. When the other cats came along Sandy got a little jealous but warmed up to them after a while. Unfortunately Sandy passed away in January of 2021.

NAME : Dory Son
BIRTH DATE: November 30, 2013
GENDER: Female
BREED: Tabby 
ADOPTION DATE: July 5, 2016 
AGE OF ADOPTION: 3

Dory was a rather energetic cat who had a short attention span, hence how she received the name, Dory. Hyunjun thought it was cute how quickly she'd forget about things and gain interest in something else or how she would run around in circles with seemingly endless energy. She was definitely a challenge for Sandy to get used to since she had so much energy. When she was calm enough to cuddle Hyunjun enjoyed those moments to take a bunch of photos and take a nap with them. She's older now so she spends more time sleeping and lazily playing with the other cats. 

꒰ Marlin꒱

NAME : Marlin Son
BIRTH DATE: July 27, 2017
GENDER: Male
BREED: Calico
ADOPTION DATE: June 2, 2018
AGE OF ADOPTION: 11 months 

Hyunjun found Marlin on the side of the road and without thinking brought him home. It was cold out and the kitten looked malnourished so Hyunjun brought him home and immediately heard hissing from his other two cats. Their introduction process was a bit...well he did it wrong and it took weeks to get the three cats acclimated to one another. Sandy warmed up first but Marlin and Dory got into fights a lot. Merlin although a kitten got spooked by Dory's energetic behavior and always initiated play time when Merlin was trying to sleep resulting in the kitten becoming scared and always trying to swipe at her. Eventually they got along. Hyunjun named him Marlin because he wanted to have a theme name for his pets. 

꒰ Nemo꒱

NAME : Nemo Son
BIRTH DATE: December 5, 2022 (roughly)
GENDER: Male
BREED: Orange Tabby 
ADOPTION DATE: May, 20, 2023
AGE OF ADOPTION: 5 month 

Nemo is the most recent addition to the family. A friend of his couldn't care for him and didn't want to give him away to a stranger to Hyunjun took him in and named him Nemo (his friend didn't name him and just called him cat). Hyunjun has always cared for older cats so he did a bunch of research on how to care for Nemo. He had a lot of lives with Nemo and him doing research to make sure he was caring for the kitten best as possible. Nemo likes to hide which honestly scares the crap out of Hyunjun cause he can hardly find him most days unless he pulls out some treats our his favorite squeaky toy. Oddly despite never have been around a dog Nemo acts like a dog and likes going for mock walks (hyunjun putting him on a leash and walking around the apartment or going downstairs to get the mail). Overall a really cute and lovable kitten!

NAME : Knight Crawler Son 
BIRTH DATE: February 8, 2017
GENDER: Male
BREED: Husky
ADOPTION DATE: March 12, 2018 
AGE OF ADOPTION: 1

Knight Crawler is the family pet but really he is Hyunjun and his brothers. His brother named him Knight Crawler (Knight for short) because he has heterochromia meaning he has one yellowish eye and the other is blue. It reminded him of the trolli gummy worms and because he loves night walks so they named him Knight Crawler. There's the joke that Knight is Jae's dog until Hyunjun comes around then the dog seems to love him more.
