Even though he's a troublemaker ,he has a big heart and wears it on his sleeve so to speak , always willing to help others less fortunate. Despite being the first son of the president and having high expectations thrust upon him ,Miguel knows how to have fun and is abit of a party animal ,preferring a party or a fun day out over a day of politics . Miguel is also known to be a hopeless romantic and is very sweet and loving to the right person .he has a good way with words and always knows just what to say. He's very kind and caring as well as gentle . Claustrophobia - fear of small spaces- He has had this since he was little .infact it was his stepfather that gave him that fear . His stepfather used to lock him inside a small closet with a box of cereal whenever his mother was away at a conference. The closet was small and dark and he hated it .it terrified him . He was always out of the closet when his mother came home but he always looked the same : absolutely terrified and hugging the cereal box .

Arachnophobia- fear of spiders - He developed this fear when Diamo put a spiders egg sack on his head in kindergarten as a joke .the egg sac broke open and hundreds of baby spiders crawled out of it all over him .He started screaming in terror. The teacher was able to get all the spiders off but he could still feel them on his skin .ever since that day whenever he sees a spider he has a panic attack .

He usually visits the local hospital and he reads for the children and elderly people there . The elderly folk call him their grandson and the children all call him their big brother. He even tells them stories of his own wearing a strawberry suit which makes the children smile

He was born on the 23rd of December exactly two days before Christmas. Though due to his mother being busy and his step dad's neglect ,he spent every birthday alone.

He was born in a small town in Mexico but his family moved to Austin Texas when he was a baby since his mother wanted to return to her hometown . After his father died and his mother remarried and became president of the United States ,he moved to the Whitehouse in Washington DC where he currently lives now but it's lonely in such a big place.

It's a memory he never forgets.

Miguel's mother Theresa first met miguel's father Gabriel while on vacation in Mexico. She had bumped into him at a market there and later on at a night time festival ,she saw him again . The two hit it off quite well ,both spending time together and dancing together . At the end of the night ,the two exchanged phone numbers and it was clear there was attraction between the two.

Gabriel and Theresa eventually began to date and were very happy together . After 2 years together, Theresa moved to Mexico wanting to be closer to Gabriel which made Gabriel happily .After another year he proposed to Theresa and the two got married .In regards to children they weren't in a rush to have any , deciding they would start a family when they were ready to .

A few years go by and their marriage is strong and full of love . Gabriel was a good husband and doted on Theresa constantly. One day Theresa sat Gabriel down and told him that she was ready to start a family with him which made him very happy.

However having a baby wasn't easy, every time Gabriel and Theresa tried ,the test was always negative .Theresa couldn't seem to get pregnant .They didnt give up trying and finally after months of trying and getting negative results , Theresa finally received the news her and her husband were waiting for .she was pregnant . Gabriel was overjoyed ,he was going to be a father .

9 months later on the 23rd of December at 8:00pm Miguel was born .Theresa had happy tears in her eyes as she gazed at Miguel's tiny face .she thought her little son was beautiful. Gabriel held his son in his arms when he was able to and smiled at him admiringly, proud that he was a father now and then something surprising happened . Miguel opened his eyes and looked right at his father and began to smile . That was the start of a very special bond between Miguel and his father .

When Miguel was a few weeks old ,his family moved from Mexico to Austin Texas and moved into a lakeside house in the countryside , adjusting was hard but it was something that Gabriel was able to do. Time passed and Miguel grew from a tiny baby into a wild, bubbly and adorable toddler . He was energetic and loved to have fun .what he loved to do the most was go swimming with his dad. Miguel was closest to his dad because his dad took care of him while his mother was working.

When Miguel was 4 years old he went to his first funfair with his father and he really enjoyed it . He loved seeing all the lights and hearing the sounds of the fair
Especially when he was on his father's shoulders .His father even won him a Otter plushie which he kept with him all the time

However a few days after that ,his father got sick .At first it was thought to just be the flu but when his father collapsed while chasing him around and was rushed to hospital ,the truth came out. Miguel's father had cancer . Miguel's mother was in tears and Miguel being small at time didn't understand what was going on

Miguel's father underwent chemo and that worked but after months of chemo and being in and out the hospital ,his body stopped responding to it. Miguel would often hear his father coughing at night and even throwing up and it broke his heart . Miguel's father's condition worsened as the months went on until eventually he was hospitalized again

Miguel would go visit his father in the hospital and his heart would break seeing how skinny and pale his father had gotten from the cancer and how his father needed a oxygen mask to breathe .

When Miguel was 5 years old ,his father asked to hold him in his arms so Miguel climbed onto the hospital bed and crawled into his father's arms hugging him

"I love you papa " Miguel said in a small voice . "I love you too Miggy-bear " Miguel's father said with a weak smile as he put his necklace on Miguel's neck, a necklace with his wedding ring on it . "This is yours now ,promise me you will wear it always " Miguel's father said coughing . "I promise papa" Miguel said in a small voice hugging his father again and his father hugged back and that's when the machines beeped loudly..his father had passed away after giving his son one last hug .

Theresa was in a meeting when she got the call saying that her husband had passed away and that Miguel was inconsolable. When she arrived at the hospital, Miguel was in the arms of a nurse crying his eyes out and reaching for his papa , calling for his papa .

Losing his father impacted Miguel greatly .he became quiet and withdrawn .his mother was more focused work than anything else so she didn't see how much her son was hurting. The only one that did was Miguel's grandmother Abuella and she gave Miguel what wanted most : comfort .

A few months after his father's death ,his mother Theresa got back into dating and started dating a man named Tyrique . Tyrique seemed like a nice man but when his mother wasn't there Tyrique was horrible. He hated Miguel and abused him physically but only when his mother wasn't there . At school he hung out with his best friend Diamo who was abit of an asshole at times .when he was 6 years old Tyrique and Teresa got married but that didn't stop the abuse,infact it just continued and Tyrique being his step father made it worse

Years passed and Miguel got older .when he was 10 years old ,he found out his mother had been elected as president which resulted in the entire family moving into the Whitehouse in Washington DC.

This resulted in Miguel being paraded around as the first son and as a political icon which got overwhelming at times especially because since his mother was the president, she didn't have time for him so he befriended his mother's assistant Zhara and she made him feel welcomed. However she failed to notice the bruises on Miguel's body so once again the abuse went unnoticed

Years passed and Miguel grew from a child into a beautiful young man .he finished high school and kept up a good public image for his mother . He was also recently diagnosed with ADHD as well. Now in his 20s and in college ,Miguel gets into alot of trouble just for laughs and gets up to alot of hilarious antics which zhara puts up with .He is also abit of a party animal and just wants to have fun .

Despite everything he has gone through, his loving personality has never changed .he's still sweet and caring and bubbly ,he still wears his heart on his sleeve. He is abit of a rebel though and it shows when he chooses fun over rules and regulations. He also has a love for children and the elderly and mostly spends his free time reading to them in the local hospital . He hopes to one day have kids of his own but what he hopes for the most is that he will find someone who will love him for who he is , someone who will help make his mother not only see the true colors of the man she married but also see how much Miguel needs her
