"Sister, they were so strange. I mean they were covered in Vibranium and they were blue!" Dayo talked her sister's head off as they walked into the room with the Queen along with other's throughout the kingdom. "Dayo, if you say one more word, I will not hesitate to slice your lips off with my spear." Dayo widened her eyes at the empty threat (she hopes) and stayed silent.
Dayo smiled at everyone saying hello, she bowed at the Queen. "Child, how many times must I tell you. Don't bow at me!" She scolded playfully. Dayo kissed her cheek and stood back beside her sister.
Honestly, Dayo and Shuri don't talk much to say they're in a relationship. Ever since T'Challa's death she changed. The happy girl she used to be disappeared. It was rare when she came around.
Dayo still stuck around, there was no need to leave. She was grieving and she didn't need to lose anyone else.
She'll come around eventually. Dayo tells herself everyday to prevent herself from being said. Eventually.
"Okay, what is all of this talk about seeing these avatars." M'Baku asked. Everyone knew Dayo was about to tell them all about it. She was great at telling stories.
"This is what happened-"
"Anyone else BUT Dayo." M'Baku cut off as a joking manner. Okoye and M'Baku may bump heads but Dayo loves him. He was definitely the father she never had.

As Dayo explained the Queen and others thought of a solution. They had no choice but to get the scientist from America to prevent any conflict with these fish people.
As they made a plan, Okoye and M'Baku had their differences causing Dayo's sister to be called;
"You bald-headed demon!"
Of course, Dayo laughed. Even though it caused Dayo to be given a death stare. "I'm sorry." She whispered.
As time went on Dayo noticed that Shuri has been awfully quiet. Of course, Dayo didn't want to ask in front of everyone but knowing Shuri, after this meeting she was heading right towards the lab.
The Queen dismissed and everyone began to leave, Shuri was hot on her feet. Dayo caught up with her and slyly grabbed her head.
"Hey, you." Dayo smiled and bumped her hip. "Hello, my love." Shuri squeezed Dayo's hand. "Where you heading?" Dayo asked, already knowing the answer to it. "I'm going to run more tests." She stated.
Dayo and Shuri made it to the lab but before Shuri made it in officially, pulled her back. She knew what was about to leave her mouth could possibly start an argument but it was worth a shot right?
"Yes?" Shuri asked, noticing the look on your face. She knew it was something. Dayo took a deep breath, she was procrastinating. "Come on spit it out. I have things to do, Dayo." Dayo could tell she was getting irritated so she did what she did best.
"Oh ok bye. Talk later." Dayo let go on Shuri and turned the corner to go anywhere her feet took her. As she turned another corner she was ran into by her sister and the Queen.
"Child, where are you coming from?! Are you running from a ghost?" Okoye looked Dayo up and down. "Oh! I was actually looking for you." Dayo smile, twirling a loc in the back of her head.
Everyone knew that she did that when she was lying. "We will talk later child." She squinted her eyes at her little sister. "Where you guys headed." Dayo asked.
"To speak with Princess Shuri." Dayo eyes widened, she stopped in her steps. "Oh!" Ramonda and Okoye looked at each other. Dayo's voice always got higher when she was nervous about something.
"Is everything okay?" The Queen asked.
"Yes, Ma'am!" Dayo smiled. "Actually, I will see you guys later, bye-" She was about to leave before her sister grabbed her hands. "Aht, Aht. You are coming with us. I don't trust you being by yourself right now."

They made it to the lab, Shuri's eyes glued to the screen as usual. Dayo looked around, she didn't wanna look at Shuri. She was embarrassed for her actions.
She wasn't paying attention until she heard the word America. Her ears were now fully into the conversation. "So, When will I get to meet my favorite colonizer?"
"Huh? Wait." Dayo then walked closer to Shuri.
"You're going to America? Okay well I'm coming." Dayo crossed her arms. Shuri shook her head, "No, you aren't coming along. I want you safe."
"What about you?! I want to make sure you're safe."
"Do you not know who your sister is?? I will take great care of her." Dayo rolled her eyes, "Yeah right. You let something happen to her and you're gonna be called much more than a bald headed demon."
"What is wrong with this generation?" Okoye was shocked at her sister's outburst.

Shuri knocked at Dayo's door. "It's open."
"What did I tell you about leaving this door unlocked. It is very dangerous." Shuri scolded, closing and locking the door behind her.
"Sorry." Dayo said shyly.
Shuri sat beside Dayo on the bed, Dayo was tucked in, in her night clothes. "You can get under the covers." Dayo informed, "My trip is short, I'm good." Dayo frowned.
"Are you okay, though? You've been being off all day."
"Oh! It's nothing-"
"You must not remember that I can read you like a book, baby. So are you gonna continue to lie or tell me what's actually wrong." Dayo knew she was caught, she took a deep breath.
"I don't know, it just feels like I'm losing you." She said quietly. "You'll never lose me, I'm always gonna be here." Shuri wrapped her arm around Dayo.
Dayo seemed unconvinced by what Shuri said, Shuri sighed, She took her shoes off and snuggled into Dayo's bed. She leaned Dayo's head on her chest.
"Listen to my heart beat." Shuri started. It was in-fact a fast rate. "That's how much it races, when i'm around you, when someone mentions you or when I think of you." Shuri was speaking from her heart, Dayo's whole body heated up.
"Yes, I admit I let my lab work get the best of me and I'm sorry. I promise you when I get back from America, I will have a whole day dedicated to you." Shuri looked down at Dayo.
"You promise?"
"I promise." The clicked their Kimoyo beads together as a way to lock it in. Dayo begged Shuri to stay with her to sleep and Shuri couldn't say no to those puppy dog eyes.
