Y/n lay in her chamber, gazing up at nothingness, but then she heard a sound and she sat up. The scent of sorrow wafted from a room in close proximity to hers, and Y/n's tail quivered.
She stood up and walked out of her chamber to Angel Dust's room, knocking on the door. "Go away," grumbled Angel, his voice cold and hollow, evidently having shed tears.
"I'm afraid I cannot leave, dear Angel. I only wish to know what happened. Was it the advertisement for the princess role you were to record that stirred something within you?" she inquired. Angel paused and ran a hand over the wound he had received from one of the hellhounds on the porn film set he had been on earlier that morning.
He sighed. "Fine, just come in," he said, waving a hand as the door swung open. Y/n entered, without a word, she enveloped him with her wings and arms, and he collapsed.
"I do not wish to compel you to speak, my beloved, but I want you to know that I am here for you no matter what happens, alright?" she murmured, dragging her long blade-tipped tongue across his forehead. Angel whimpered and buried his face slightly.
"Please, don't do that," he pleaded, to which Y/n hummed, "Of course not, my dear."
"Come, let us go down to the bar and perhaps our kind host can provide you with something to strengthen you, but remember, nothing excessive. You are here to improve yourself, not to revert to old habits," she said, as Y/n stopped and held out her claw for Angel to take. After a moment, he did, and Y/n smiled as she pulled him closer. Her touch was so reassuring that Angel was unsure whether to purr or pull away, but he let her lead him down to the foyer and the bar, where the cat demon was busy pouring a drink for himself.
"Hello there, Husker, could you have given something to Angel here?" asked the dragon sinner, placing me on one of the chairs that surrounded the bar.
He looked up from his reverie and nodded, "Of course," he grumbled, turning his attention to his ale. He couldn't forget the sight of Y/n in human form for the first time and how beautiful she had been. Not that she wasn't beautiful now, but he had grown more accustomed to it.
Y/n sighed and draped a wing around Angel, who leaned against her. Her pink eyes softened slightly and she murmured, "Should I have taken you to your room instead?" Y/n hugged the fluffy spider against her own hard chest. She had no fur, but her bosoms were soft enough.
"No..." Angel said, sighing. He took one of Y/n's hands and intertwined it with her sharp claws. "I just want to forget what happened, that's all."
"I understand," Y/n said, allowing him to play with his claws before she took the glass that Husk had placed in front of them. "Here," she said, handing it to Angel, who sat up and chugged down the alcohol. Y/n did not stop watching him, her (e/c) eyes glittering with unease.
Angel smiled. "Am I so captivating that you have to gaze at me, huh, sweet one?" he inquired.
Y/n raised an eyebrow and hummed. "You are certainly handsome," she said. Angel almost spit out the beer he was drinking, and Husk bit his lip, turning his back on the two of them.
"Ah, thank you, dear!" Angel chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "I-I didn't mean to tease," he clarified.
Y/n raised one eyebrow. "Teasing or not, you are handsome and that is the truth," she said, waving to Husk, who turned around. "I could use some water, thank you," the cat demon grumbled, and turned to fill up a small glass with water.
Angel just sighed and rested his head on the table. "You are different, Y/n, do you know that?" he inquired.
"H/nm hummed. "I have heard that before, yes," as he drew a claw on the table, creating a small circle that resembled a dragon's eye, with delicate frills here and there. Husk turned and placed the glass of water in front of the dragon. "Here," he said.
Y/n thanked him and drank the water, then Alastor appeared, smiling as broadly as always. "Ah, Y/n, there you are. I wish for you to accompany me to my small meeting with the demon lords," he said.
Y/n looked up, studying the face of the dear demon before she shrugged. "I don't have anything to do, but I must ask Princess Charlie's permission first," she said. Alastor's smile twitched. "And why is that, dear? I'm sure you can handle yourself."
Y/n shrugged. "She is a princess, Alastor. I would like to pay my respects to her first."
"I see," Alastor said before nodding and tapping his cane. "I'll be waiting outside, my dear. Do not make me wait too long." With a swift disappearance akin to a puff of fabled smoke, the enigmatic figure departed.
"Ugh, his unsettling demeanor knows no bounds," Angel muttered, absently wiping his lips as he gazed upon Yen, who rose from her seat. A melancholic shadow passed over the face of the spider demon, and he sighed. "Must you depart?" he inquired.
Y/n smiled gently, "I apologize, my dear, but rest assured, I shall return. I am certain that not even a handful of demons possess the power to truly harm me." With a melodic hum, she leaned forward, a delicate talon coming to cradle Angel's face. The spider demon tensed as her soft crimson lips met his forehead briefly before pulling away. With the warmth of the tender gesture lingering briefly, the dragoness departed, leaving behind a fleeting memory.
