"You look really cute", the woman complimented her. "You're gonna have so much fun tonight."

Grace let her black hair fall into her face as she adjusted her silver heart necklace. "Well, hopefully. I mean we're just going to see a movie."

Suddenly her mother entered the room. Her eyes went wide as she smiled, "You look nice, hon!"

"I can't believe crop tops are back", Susannah stated as she put on her shoes. "Remember how I thought I was such hot shit in that baby tee I wore fresh man year?"

Laurel let out an amused laugh while she looked at her long term best friend.

"Have fun tonight", Susannah then told Grace, who put her lipgloss back where it belonged.

"Thank you."

Grace then met her mother's gaze smiling. "Are you not driving with us?", her mother questioned her confused.

"Um- didn't she tell you? She has a date", Susannah then said as she stood up.

Her mother made a surprised face expression, but then it changed into a smile.

"Sorry, Mom. His name is Ezra and were going to the drive-in", the girl stated as she looked at her mother.

Susannah immediately came to her rescue, "His mother works at the club. He's a really nice boy, very smart and charming as well."

"It's fine. Of course you can go. I've dragged you to enough of these book party's over the years. Besides your sister is going out as well. So, have a great date!", her mom gave her a smile before Grace planted a kiss on her cheek.

"Thank you."

"Do we need to talk about consent before you go?", her mother then questioned her and Grace shook her head. "No, mom."

The girl quickly left the room before her mother could say anything else. Making her way downstairs she met the boys in the living room.

The three were sitting on the couch, playing that boring video game that they were so obsessed with.

"Nice!"

"Got him!"

The girl inhaled deeply before she clapped her hands together, "See you guys later!"

Jeremiah was the first one to look at her and his mouth immediately dropped wide open. "Damn!"

He immediately threw away his controller, whistling loudly.

"Are you kidding? No! Yeah, fine just abandon the game completely, Jere", Steven immediately exclaimed annoyed.

In that moment Conrad turned around as well, his gaze meeting Grace's. He quickly looked her up and down before he turned his attention back to the game.

Jeremiah approached her with a smile on his face, "You- look- hot."

He grabbed her hands and held them while he winked at her, making Grace laugh loudly. "Stop, Jere. You making me blush."

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Stop flirting with my sister!", Steven then engaged into their conversation. Grace rolled with her eyes, "Shut up, Steven."

He immediately looked at her again, "No, you shut up!" He then met Grace gaze again, "Well, you look good, though."

Jeremiah then caught her attention once more, "Are you driving with, or are you meeting us there?"

"Actually, I'm not going to the book party. I'm going to the drive-in", she explained to him while shrugging.

Conrad didn't turn around at first but then his head snapped towards her, "With who?"

But Grace just ignored him when her phone chimed. There was a text from Ezra telling her that he was there. Grace's heart immediately skipped a beat.

"Hey! Dude! Dude! Focus!", Steven tried to get Conrad to look back onto the screen.

The brunette boy still had his gaze on Grace but after a moment he turned around. But his eyes were still darting back and forth.

"Uh, okay. See you later!"

Grace stopped for a small moment, looking at herself in the mirror while she fixed her hair quickly. She noticed that her necklace was messed up again and quickly fixed it.

But what the girl didn't noticed, was the longing gaze that Conrad gave her through the mirror.

She stepped outside and when the girl reached Ezra's car, a smile spread across her face. "Hey!"

"Hey", he smiled at her while he waited for the girl to get into the car.

As soon as she sat down beside him, she met his gaze, "So, what are we watching?"

"Uh, it's some old movie, called Sabrina", he explained and Grace nodded her head. "Oh, Audrey Hepburn? Two brother? You mean that Sabrina?"

"I think so. Yeah", he smiled as well when he realized how much she liked that movie.

"I love that movie! Okay, let's finally go", she exclaimed excited. The boy chuckled while he started the engine and the two arrived pretty quickly by the drive-in.

The movie begun shortly after and the two made themselves comfortable in the car.

Grace really tried to enjoy the film, but the whole time she had this weird feeling in her stomach. She was nervous. Really nervous.

"Are you sure you don't want something to drink or-?", Ezra suddenly questioned her while the film contiued.

The dark haired girl shrugged, "Yeah. I'm okay. Thank you."

He nodded his head before he focused back onto the film, his gaze constantly wandering back and forth between her and the movie.

Grace smiled to herself before she slowly placed her hand over his. The two immediately locked their gazes and Ezra smirked at her before the two went back to watching the film.

"Hey, did you know that Cameron, a friend of mine is actually taking your sister out on a date as well today?", Ezra suddenly spoke up again.

"No, really? She didn't even tell me", Grace stated as she tried towards him, ignoring the film.

Ezra chuckled while he turned towards her as well, "Yeah, he's head over heels."

"And you two know each other from where exactly?", Grace questioned curiously, while raising her eyebrows at him.

"We're friends since we were little", the blond boy stated while he leaned back in his seat again.

The two remained silent and Grace contiued to watch him, which a smile on her face. "You know what, I'm really glad I met you this summer", she then said her eyes meeting his.

The boy just smiled and both of them leaned slowly forward. Grace could hear her heart pounding in her chest.

She once had a boyfriend. But she had been fifteen and honestly, she didn't even had real feeling for him. But with Ezra, it was different. She really liked this boy and when she was with him the thoughts of Conrad completely disappeared.

Their noses where almost touching when suddenly a car pulled up besides them.

Grace turned towards the car, immediately spotting her brother and Jeremiah sitting in the two front seats.

The girl could feel the rage building up in her stomach while Ezra cleared his throat awkwardly and leaned back again.

Grace turned towards him, "Ezra, could you, um, maybe grab me that drink, actually? Maybe a. Cherry Coke or something like that?"

The blond boy immediately opened his door, "Yeah, of course. No problem. I'll be right back."

"Thank you!"

As soon as the boy shut the door, Grace stepped out of the car and approached her brother and Jeremiah. The two were both laughing loudly while they started to make fun of her.

Grace shot them both a dark glare while she yanked Steven's door open.

"Seriously! How old are you?", she stared at them with a serious look on her face. "What the hell are you even doing here?"

Only now the girl realized that Conrad was also sitting in the backseat, watching her closely.

"Oh, only catching the end of our favourite movie!", Steven joked and the three immediately continued laughing.

"Really? You have nothing better to do on a Saturday evening than to ruin my night!", the girl stated, the rage clearly recognizable in her voice.

"Oh, Grace relax. We- we were just joking around", Jeremiah tried to calm her down. Grace completely ignored him while she stared down her brother, "Steven. If you don't leave, like right now. I swear, I'm gonna tell everyone about your Dramione fanfic, with the details."

Conrad and Jeremiah started to laugh even louder than before.

Steven shot her a glare, "You wouldn't!"

"Watch me", the girl said before she went one, holding eye contact with her brother. "Yeah and Belly told me that he spent an entire chapter talking about Draco's wand."

The two other boys gasped before they chuckled again. "Come on, Steven! Don't be embarrassed! Draco is hot."

"Drop it! Drop it!"

Grace then made eye contact with Conrad, her voice now a lot softer than before, "Hey, seriously. Please leave."

Conrad held eye contact with her before he nodded at Steven, "Alright, let's go, guys."

"Wait, what?"

"Steven, leave!", the girl pressed again. Steven exhaled annoyed before he turned on the motor, "You were the one who wanted to come, Conrad!"

He then drove off without even looking at his sister one more time.

Grace felt her heart aches a little bit as she watched them driving off, now knowing that Conrad was the one who wanted to ruin her evening.

The girl spun around and quickly climbed back into her car, waiting for Ezra to return.

The blond boy then joined her again. "One Cherry Coke", he said as he leaned back into his seat, watching her take a sip.

"Thank you so much, Ezra."

"For you always", he stated and the two smiled at each other.

She turned to face the boy when the car stopped. Meeting his gaze, she gave him a confident smirk.

"I had a really great time tonight", Ezra then spoke up and Grace nodded immediately. "Me too. It was really fun."

The silence was back and the two started to lean in once again, but this time there was no interruption.

Grace quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and immediately placed her hands on his neck while his moved up to cup her jaw. Their lips touched and the two moved in synchrony.

Grace's hand mievd through his blond hair while Ezra placed his other hand on her waist, pulling her closer towards him.

At some point Grace climbed halfway on top of the boy and it ended to be a actually, kind of great make out session.

Grace planted one last soft kiss onto his lips before she leaned back. "Good night, Ezra."

The boy had a dreamy look in his eyes as he watched her get out of the car. "Goodnight!"

The girl winked at him with a large smirk on her face before she approached the house and quickly went inside.

As soon as the door fell shut behind her the girl exhaled deeply. Making her way into the kitchen, the smile just wouldn't leave her lips.

"How was your hot date?", Conrad's voice suddenly pulled her out of her good mood.

The smile immediately disappeared from her lips as she turned to face the boy. "Umm- excuse me."

Conrad had a beer bottle in his hand and Grace was aware that this probably wasn't his first one tonight.

"Okay, relax. We were just having a little fun", the boy tried to talk their actions little.

"No, you guys are just assholes. That's it", the girl stated angryly while she crossed her arms over her chest.

Conrad seemed a bit taken back by her words, "Grace, come on."

Suddenly anger built up in her, that she didn't even was awear of.

The girl didn't let him finish as she rolled with her eyes. "No, you know what. All I wanted was to go to a drive-in with Ezra, a guy I really like. Who I think is sweet, and caring and- you guys had to come and nearly ruined it."

"And us showing up for like, two minutes ruined that? Really?", Conrad questioned her, now seeming kind of arrogant. "Grow up, Grace."

The girl let out a loud scoff while he walked towards the door. "Why couldn't you just stay away? Why couldn't you let me have this one thing? Admit it, Conrad!"

She narrowed her eyes at him, "You knew exactly what you were doing!"

He held her gaze while he fiddled with his bear bottle. "What- what was I doing?"

"Reminding me that you existed!?", the girl exclaimed in anger while she leaned onto the kitchen counter.

The boy avoided her gaze, "I don't know what you're talking about." His eyes shot up to meet her's. Grace narrowed her eyes at him, "Oh, come on! You cared where I was, who I was with."

"No, I didn't. I don't care", the boy immediately shot back at her, shrugging. Grace rolled with her eyes, "Urgh, stop lying!"

"Stop being such a baby!", he argued back, seeming very defensive. Grace smirked at him sarcastically, "Oh, and your such an adult, huh? You just spent your Saturday night crashing my date for fun."

The boy took a sip from his bottle, avoiding her gaze again.

Grace sighed as she took a step back from the counter, "You know what, just forget it."

The boy stared into nothing, which made the girl just the more angrier. "You know what, why don't you go smoke some more pot?"

She spun around before she heared his voice from behind her, "Why don't you go look in the mirror some more?"

That hit deep. Even if the girl didn't wanted to admit it. For a small moment Grace stopped in her track. She wanted to turned around, look him in the eyes and see if he'd really meant that.

But despite that burning desires to face him, the girl forced herself to go upstairs, without looking back once more.
