"WE GET IT! YOU GUYS ARE MARRIED IT'S GETTING OLD." Leo exclaimed as he and Lorelei drop their suitcases on the floor, both staring at Tasha and Mr. Davenport with exasperated looks. The two had to keep up with the couple's antics all day and they were getting tired especially Lorelei.

"I'm happy for you guys, really. But I'm getting tired of having to close my eyes every time you guys do...that," she gestured with her hands at Mr. Davenport holding Tasha bridal style "and you guys know I can't see with my eyes closed."

Mr. Davenport send her an odd look and placed Tasha on the floor while Leo and Lorelei finally took a look at their new home. It was big. Bigger than they had originally expected. It had three TV's, a big couch in the middle of the living room, and the kitchen was huge compared to the one they had on their old house. This made Lorelei incredibly excited. She loved baking and making desserts and now with a new kitchen she would have more space to try out new recipes.

Leo turned to Mr. Davenport. "Wow, you got this big house just from inventing things?" Mr. Davenport nodded proudly as Leo turned to Tasha. "Way to go mom. That's a husband."

Lorelei's eyes fell on a device standing in the living room. "What is that? Is it a microphone because if it is I need it for my shower concerts." Leo nodded in agreement as the two walked towards the object.

Shaking his head Mr. Davenport explained, "That is my latest creation. Davenport industries first completely interactive 3-D TV."

Lorelei watched as he turned on the object making it shot a reflective light that formed a football field? Or was it a baseball field? She wasn't sure. Either way one of the players hit the ball making it fly into the air and transform from a hologram to a real ball. Leo walked backwards in attempt to catch it but he ended up hitting his back with the wall causing the screen behind him to light up and an odd looking animation came on.

"Watch the vase, termite!"

Leo's eyes widened, pushing himself away from the wall. "Mom, Lori, I think the little voice inside my head is back."

Lorelei frowned. "Yours left?" She placed a hand on his shoulder giving it a soft pat. "I can give you mine if you want."

"No thanks."

"No, this is Eddy. He's my smart home system." Mr. Davenport walked towards the screen. "Eddy this are my new stepson and stepdaughter, Leo and Lorelei. Remember I told you Leo, Lorelei, and Tasha are moving in today?"

"Hi." Lorelei and Leo waved at the screen with a grin.

Eddy laughed. "Hey, welcome. Everything here is mine."

Lorelei pouted lowering her hand as Mr. Davenport ignore Eddy's comments and wrapped his arms around Leo and Lorelei. "Why don't you guys go check out your new bedrooms? Just go straight down that hallway and when you see the room with the video games and the action figures and the 50-foot-screen TV," Leo and Lorelei looked at each other in excitement before their smiles dropped at Mr Davenport's next words. "keep walking that's mine."

Leo and Lorelei sighed in disappointment before taking a hold of their suitcases. The two followed Mr. Davenport's directions obviously not before making a pit stop at the room Mr. Davenport said was his, and to their surprise he was not lying when he mentioned there were action figures. Lorelei had never seen a room so full of little dolls, it was adorable. She thought Mr. Davenport was a strange man but she couldn't judge him. If she had the money that he had, she'll probably act the same or maybe worse.

Once they reached their bedrooms and got past their initial shock at seeing the difference in size to their old ones, they left their belongings there and decided to explore more around the house. The two siblings now found themselves in an empty room making them look at each other in defeat. "This place is huge! We're gonna need a GPS just to find the bathroom."

"Or a map." Lorelei said causing Leo to give a her a look.

"A GPS is more effective."

"But the map is more natural."

"What does that have-." As the two bicker Leo accidentally hit a button panel on the wall which caused the normal empty wall across from them to disappear and with a blue light morph into an elevator.

"What did you do?"

"It was an accident!" Leo defended before moving closer towards the open doors of the elevator while Lorelei got distracted with the pattern of the wall beside her. It was made of a weird material making her giggle as it tickled the pad of her fingers.

Leo sticked his head inside the elevator and looked around. "Hello?" He walked inside motioning for Lorelei to follow but once he noticed she was engrossed on looking at the wall, he walked out and grabbed her arm before dragging her inside the elevator. This time the doors shut immediately, dropping down at an inhuman speed causing screams to leave the teenagers mouths as they cling to each other.

With a ding the elevator stopped, and opened its doors. Leo and Lorelei peered through the corner of the metal door before cautiously walking out of the elevator once they saw the cost was clear. The doors closed right when they stepped off but they didn't pay any attention as their minds were more preoccupied on their surroundings.

Lorelei looked around. To their left there was a desk with a bunch of papers and other stuff she didn't know the name of and to their opposite side there were some yellow barrels with Mr. Davenport's company logo on them. Leo walked closer towards the desk. "Wow, our new dad is Batman!"

The blonde girl turned to him with wide eyes. Now everything made sense. The big house, the technology, and the secret rooms. "And you're telling me this now? Does Tasha know?"

Before Leo could explain that his words weren't literal, the wall in front of them opened and Leo quickly took a hold of Lorelei and they hid behind the yellow barrels. Looking through the gaps in between the barrels, Lorelei watched a rather short boy wearing a weird outfit run through the doors before moving to rapidly tap on the keypad which caused the doors to lock again.

"Good luck getting in! That steel door is thicker than your head!" The boy exclaimed and Lorelei wondered if Mr. Davenport was Batman, was the boy Robin? Maybe she could ask him later.

Leo and Lorelei, along with the unknown boy flinched when a loud clank boomed. Not giving anyone any time to register what was happening, the doors were punched again resulting in the doors to fall in pieces revealing a taller boy. He looked a little older than the first boy and his skin was a lot paler while his hair in comparison to the other boy's wasn't gelled to the side. Lorelei thought he was cute but quickly shook that thought away as she watched him give the shorter boy a smug look.

Smiling nervously, the first boy said, "Well, there's another way to get in."

The tall boy marched towards him. "Give me back my ePod!" Grabbing the short boy by the back of his collar, the tall boy lifted him up in the air as if he weighted nothing. Lorelei was starting to think everyone here were superheroes or Mr. Davenport's sidekicks. It was the logical explanation.

"I don't have it!" The short one struggle against the hold, swinging his legs back and forth in the air.

"Hey." Another person walked in, but this time it was a girl. She was holding the so called ePod in her hands. Her hair was in a ponytail and just like the boys she was wearing the same weird outfit. Lorelei made a mental check to help them out on their clothing style because man those were some ugly clothes.

When the tall boy noticed the girl had his ePod, he gasped and immediately let go of the boy he was holding. "You took my ePod!"

The girl removed the earbud giving the tall boy a look. "Taylor Swift mega-mix? Really?" Lorelei lighten up at her words, happy to finally find another Swiftie. Leo gave her a look already knowing what she was thinking and rolled his eyes. The blonde had attempted on making Leo a fan but the boy always refused saying it wasn't his style.

"I find her soothing." The tall boy said, and from her hidden position Lorelei nodded at his words. In that moment she concluded he was her favorite out of the three.

Unbothered the girl began to walk away but she didn't get far enough as red lasers came out from the tall boy's eyes causing Leo and Lorelei to quietly gasp in shock. They were definitely superheroes.

The girl turned around. "Oh, I know you didn't shot that laser at me."

"Oh sorry, it was a terrible mistake." The apologetic tone left the boy's voice. "Just like your face!"

Not happy about the insult, the girl narrowed her eyes in a glare and rushed forward at an incredible speed, pushing the tall boy into the barrels where Leo and Lorelei were hiding. The four of them looked at each other in shock before the whole room erupted into screams. Everyone paused and Lorelei rubbed her eyes to see if they were still there. When she saw they were in fact real, she screamed causing the other four to follow suit. Leo took Lorelei's hand as the two ran away from the three heroes as Lorelei liked to call them.

The elevator doors were closed so there was no other exit. Leaving them with no choice but to walk to the other side of the room. They stopped infront of a desk and turned around to meet the intense gazes of the other three teenagers. Without removing his eyes from the strangers, Leo broke the silence. "Okay, I don't play this card too often, but..." he yelled "mom!"

Lorelei shook her head and turned to the trio before mouthing 'his lying'.

Luckily for them just as the words left Leo's mouth, the elevator opened and out of it came out Tasha and Mr. Davenport. The two siblings ran towards Tasha quickly wrapping their arms around her.

Confused, Tasha hugged them back and then looked around the room. "What is this place? Who are they?" Her eyes fell on the three.

Lorelei smiled giving Tasha a look as if she had asked the dumbest question. "Don't you see? Mr. Davenport has a secret identity and this is his secret layer where he hides his stuff because he's Batman."

Leo facepalmed while the rest looked at the girl with frowns. Mr. Davenport chuckled and shook his head. "What? No! I'm not Batman."

From behind him, the tall boy placed his hands on Mr. Davenport's shoulders his eyes settled on Lorelei. "He's not lying. He's way too short to be Batman." His words caused a few giggles to erupt from beside him before they were masked with coughs the moment Mr. Davenport threw them a glare.

Beside Tasha, Lorelei tried suppressing her smile. She still thought that even if Mr. Davenport was short he could still be Batman. Plus it wasn't his fault for being short. Lorelei was pretty short and she sometimes wished she could spontaneously grow.

Getting back on topic, Mr. Davenport tried to come up with an excuse. "They are a....boy band I've been working with, um, and the twist is one of them is a girl." Noticing no one was buying his lie Mr. Davenport started explaining. "All right they're part of a secret project I've been developing genetically engineered superhuman siblings. Tasha, Leo, Lorelei, meet Adam, Bree, and Chase. The greatest combination of biology and technology ever developed. I don't wanna brag but I am incredibly smart."

Lorelei smiled and send them a quick wave which the trio returned. Tasha turned to look at Leo while pointing at the three teenagers making the boy say. "Don't look at me. I told you to stay away from internet dating but no you just had to go along with what Lori said."

Gasping, Lorelei send him an offended look. "Hey! I was being supportive. She found a rich guy. Isn't that a good thing?"

Tasha sighed placing a hand on Lorelei's shoulder. "It's alright." She turned to Mr. Davenport pointing at the three bionic siblings. "So they're robots."

Her words were in fact not appreciated by Adam, Bree, and Chase. "Whoa!"

"Hey!"

"Oh, no, she didn't."

Mr. Davenport's tried to defuse the situation. "No, Tasha, they're human, I've just given each of them a unique set of bionic abilities controlled by a microchip implant in their necks. It sounds a lot more complicated than it is." He moved towards the trio. "See, Adam is all brute strength, and Bree has speed and agility, and Chase has super-senses and a superior intelligence.

Tasha laughed, making her way towards Mr. Davenport, pushing him aside while Leo and Lorelei moved closer towards Adam, Bree, and Chase. "Donald, there are children living in our basement!"

Mr. Davenport gestured around the room in exasperation. "This is a scientific habitat. I mean look at it, it's got a game room, and a rock wall anything a kid could ask for. I've created this place so they can train in the utmost of comfort and technology." Mr. Davenport tried to get Tasha to understand but in Lorelei's opinion he's reasoning wasn't the best. From what she had seen of the place it didn't look any better than a normal basement.

"It's true. The toilets have seat-warmers that talk." Adam said beside Lorelei.

"What do they say?" Leo asked curiously.

Adam shrugged. "It varies, depending on-"

"No." Leo put his hand forward, stopping Adam from finishing his sentence. Lorelei grimaced thankful Leo intervine and patted Adam's arm as a way of saying it's okay making the boy look down at her and smile.

At least he tried to help.

After that Lorelei got bored, so she zoned out most of their words. She wondered what time it was and if her baking show had started. It had been a long day and all she wanted to do was go to sleep in her new bed and forget about the day. The blonde was pulled out of her thoughts by Adam's deep voice speaking from beside her.

"I want to go upstairs."

Lorelei gasped, "You guys have never been upstairs?" The group shook their heads and Lorelei turned to look at Mr. Davenport with wide eyes. "That's not very nice."

Leo nodded and then a smile formed on his lips when his eyes fell on the large machines in front of them, "Hey, what are those? Time machines?" He walked towards the large blue tubes as Lorelei followed after him.

"No, they're not time machines. The time machines are actually in the shop." Mr. Davenport paused as he stood on the platform of the tubes. He realized Tasha wasn't finding his bragging amusing. "These are my biologically regulated atmospheric chambers. Where my bionic creations live and sleep and eat."

Leo raised an eyebrow and cupped his hand beside his mouth before whispering to Lorelei. "For being humans they sure get treated like robots." The blonde nodded in agreement. She tilted her head as she looked at the capsules and wondered how they slept there given it looked very uncomfortable.

Mr. Davenport ignored him. "Which reminds me. It's dinnertime."

Adam, Bree, and Chase let out a chorus of yes and made their way inside the capsules. They put on some goggles to protect their eyes while Mr. Davenport asked if they were ready. Lorelei watched him click some buttons on the desk before a buzzer went off and some sort of cookies came out from the top of the capsules. Adam, Bree, and Chase started eating them in their own ways clearly struggling to grab a good amount to eat.

"These are my patented protein pellets. Whatever they don't catch is tomorrow's breakfast." Mr. Davenport said, causing Leo to shake his head, Lorelei to smile, and Tasha to stare in disbelief.

"That looks fun! Can I go next?" The blonde asked, and Tasha shook her head.

"Lori, honey, I don't think that's a good idea."

Mr. Davenport nodded, turning towards the girl. "Yeah, sorry Lorelei but this pellets are specifically made for them. Not only does it contain every nutrient they need but it also helps their bionics."

Lorelei could feel a headache coming in from all of the complicated wording. She had no idea what half of the things in the room were and figuring out what they were, we're not in her list of priorities. But as fun as eating weird pellets from a capsule, she couldn't imagine only eating that for the rest of her life. Adam, Bree, and Chase were missing in a lot of delicious foods and things. "I'm sorry Mr. Davenport but I'm making them some real food."

He shook his head. "Now, that's not necessarily. Trust me, this pellets are way better than a full course meal. They're fine just look at them eat it!" He laughed, pointing at the three teenagers.

"How can such little thing be better than a full course meal? This is too complicated." She groaned and let out a sigh. "Doesn't matter, I'm still going to make them some food."

From beside her, Leo spoke. "But you only know how to bake and make desserts."

The blonde shrugged. "And? Anything is better than that." Lorelei pointed at Adam, Bree, and Chase who were still eating the pellets. "Plus, if I have to learn how to cook then I will."

Leo nodded. "You're right."
