hoseok - request
HONEY, I'M HOME
- in which hoseok finishes his tour early and decides to surprise you; requested by _armymochi_
You stir yourself awake, shivering as you force yourself out of the blankets with a sigh, looking over at the empty side of the bed forlornly. Shaking your head to rid yourself of the lonely thoughts, you palm your phone, mood instantly brightening when it comes to life with several notifications from the cause of your loneliness.
Your boyfriend, Hoseok, has been on tour with his band for over four months now and while it shouldn't feel like that long as he's doing something that he loves, you can't help but wish that he was back home with you and an empty schedule. However, you promised Hoseok that you'd be fine with the restrictions that dating him would come with so you keep quiet about your want for his attention.
But you miss him like hell when he leaves.
Giggling to yourself as you scroll through his heart filled messages and constant photos, you get on with your morning, mentally noting that he only has a few more days left on tour and then he'll be in your arms again. The thought brings a warm feeling to your chest as you send him a good morning message and leave your phone to go and make breakfast.
As you stir your coffee, you find yourself longing to hear his cheerful voice as he dances into the kitchen stupidly, bringing you into his arms when you roll your eyes playfully at his behaviour. In fact, you realise that it's been a while since you last spoke to him, the time difference making is especially difficult to find a time where the two of you aren't busy to talk.
Holding the warm cup to your lips, you feel odd standing in the house all alone, hating how cold and dark it is without his presence. Deciding to head off to work early, you finish your coffee in a rush, praying to whoever's listening to make the days go faster until Hoseok returns.
You just can't wait until he gets back.

"Thank god, we're home," Jin exclaims with a groan, stretching his muscles as murmurs or agreement bubble out from the other men's throats, their smiles filled with relief despite their bodies feeling lethargic and heavy.
Hoseok, however, finds himself brimming with energy, his eyes wide and vibrant as he mentally makes a list of everything that he's going to do after he makes it out of the airport. Of course, number one on that list is run home to you, his heart soaring at the mere thought of your presence.
Leaving you for so long has been hard on him too, the boy finding it near impossible to sleep at night without your lulling touch or your soothing warmth. If he's being honest, it's been hard to keep up his mood without you around to bring an automatic smile to his face.
And although it's disappointing, he could not be anymore glad that their tour ended early.
The boys notice his sudden mood change and nudge each other with knowing smirks, watching as Hoseok swings on his backpack and waits eagerly behind the managers as the door to the plane slowly begin to open.
Jimin rolls his eyes and hangs his arm loosely off his love sick hyung's shoulder with a lopsided grin. "Does Y/N know you're back yet?"
Hoseok opens his mouth to answer but abruptly closes it, his eyebrows knitting together as his lips press into a thin line, hand immediately grabbing onto his phone. Scrolling through old messages, he realises that in the midst of his excitement towards coming back home early, he never told the person who he is most excited to see that he'll be back early.
"You didn't tell her, did you?" Jimin sighs in disappointment, rubbing at his temple when Hoseok flashes him a sheepish smile, returning the phone to his pocket just as the doors open, some of the boys cheering from behind him.
"Use this to your advantage," Jimin suggests slyly, running a hand through his hair as Hoseok angles his head curiously, wanting to hear more on what Jimin has to say. "I mean, she doesn't know that you're back so make it romantic and surprise her."
"You're right," Hoseok breathlessly mumbles, the gears in his brain turning as he conjures a plan, his lips tugging themselves into a proud smile when he soon finds himself envisioning the many things he could do to surprise you. "But how?"
"You're hopeless," Jimin bluntly states with a fond smile, disembarking the plan all while whispering his plan into Hoseok's ear, the older boy's cheeks turning light pink with excitement, his eyes practically glistening with mischievousness.
"Guys," Hoseok calls once Jimin concludes his master plan with a snap of his fingers, watching like a proud mother as the guys all turn their heads to Hoseok inquisitively. "I'm gonna head off to Y/N's so don't wait up. I'll be spending the night there."
Hoseok walks towards the other car with suggestive cheers as his background music, almost chuckling at their dirty minded thoughts. He gives the driver the address and runs his fingers through his slightly knotty hair, nibbling on his bottom lip as he finds himself feeling anxious about seeing you again.
"Butterflies," he muses thoughtfully, watching the scenery outside as his smile seems to grow itself at the thought of the effects you have on him.

You sigh in exhaustion, carelessly dumping your bag by the door as you kick of your shoes and instinctively head towards the couch, gratefully throwing yourself onto it with a groan. Making yourself comfortable, you pull out your phone to call Hoseok, in need of his positive words to rid you of the negativity your day held.
You call once, twice and then three times with no answer, biting onto your bottom lip as you conclude that he must be rehearsing for a show. Throwing your phone onto the other end of the couch, you curl into yourself and hope that sleep blesses you with warm dreams so that you can momentarily forget that the house is empty, the feeling of loneliness making itself home upon your shoulders.
However, just as your eyes flutter shut, there's a soft knock at the door, your eyebrows knitting together as you reluctantly sit yourself up. You wait a few seconds to be sure, involuntary whining when whoever is standing outside knocks again. Frantically running your fingers through your locks, you jog towards the door, opening it rather angrily.
A stuffed bear—bigger than any that you've ever seen—sits in front of your door, your lips pursing in suspicion as you search the outside for anyone that could've put the bear there. Shrugging, you step out to grab onto its paw, nearly falling backwards when a very familiar sounding scream echoes through your door way, your hand flying to your heart as the person reveals himself.
"Sorry, Y/N," he chuckles, wiping at the corner of his eyes. "I just had to."
Your mouth falls open, eyes widening in disbelief as they brim with tears. His chuckles turn into laughs as he pushes the bear into the house and steps in himself, closing and locking the door behind him while you continue to stay in your stunned silence.
Gaining your composure just as he holds his arms out, you launch yourself into his embrace, wrapping your legs around his waist as you bury your face into his neck, his arms squishing you against his chest.
"I missed you," he croons, pressing a kiss to your exposed shoulder. You pull away with tears in your eyes, a smile so bright stretching your lips upwards, your hands gingerly cupping his face as you caress his cheeks.
"B-But how? You're supposed to be on tour, aren't you?" You ask with a pout, hoping that this isn't just one of those stop overs that are only going to last a day. He hums happily, admiring how much you've changed in the few months he's been gone and relishing in how good it feels to finally hold you again.
"Well, there were some stadium cancellations so the tour ended early. The company said that the remaining month we had left on tour is ours so we can spend it as we please," he chirps, placing you onto the counter top, your hands still cupping his warm cheeks.
"Does that mean I have you all to myself for a month?"
He nods.
You squeal with excitement and pepper his face with several, feather light kisses, heart clenching when he begins to giggle adorably, his arms wrapping around your torso as he murmurs sweet nothings about how much he missed you and how glad he is to be back.
"Next time," he muses with a small smile, "I'm taking you with me."
