LEIA CALORE HAD NEVER DONE ANYTHING IMPORTANT ALL HER LIFE. She had gone to school like she was supposed to, she socialized like she was supposed to, and she acted like she was supposed to. She had never stepped foot outside of the box. In fact, she could not even see the box. She was the perfect daughter for any Capitol citizen.

When she turned fourteen, she was offered an apprenticeship working for the stylists for the Hunger Games, an event that was held annually. It was the biggest time of the year in Panem, and she had the chance to be a part of it. However, she had not realized that maybe she really did not want to be a part of it.

Her first Tribute is a boy from District Four named Finnick Odair. He's here age, and she ends up getting attached, helping the boy throughout his experiences through the games that eventually led to him becoming the youngest Victor in the history of the Games, though that might not have been a good thing.

Throughout his years as a Victor, Finnick is sold to Capitol citizens whenever they wanted him, and he was forced to do whatever they wanted. His loved ones would die if he refused, one of those loved ones being Leia, the girl that had gotten him through the Games and the woman that kept him sane for ten years through visits and letters. She was the person that he lived for, and he would forever be grateful to her for that.

But then comes the rise of the Mockingjay, and everything starts to change. Finnick gets thrown back into the arena, and they have to repeat the process over again. Only this time, there is a rebellion ready to meet them on the other side. In a battle full of love, loss, and misery, the star crossed lovers start to realize that maybe they were not meant to be.

Maybe they were born to die.
