[BY THE LIGHT OF THE MOON]

"i believe in you" words that water flowers.

DEAR DIARY,
Apparently, after I fell unconscious, I stayed out for six hours. I didn't wake up until 3 AM, Elena said. And a lot happened while I was out. Stefan had gotten himself stuck in the tomb with Katherine because Jeremy, very stupidly, tried to get the moonstone off Katherine so Bonnie wouldn't get hurt. It was sweet that he cared for the witch's well-being, everyone else always seemed to skip over the fact that she was still a newbie, she wasn't strong enough for most spells.

I remember my dream more vividly this time, more clearer than how I used to. I can remember every single thing that happened. So Elijah was trying to help them, in his own weird psychotic way of course but he still was trying to help.

He also knew why I was important for the sacrifice, but he wouldn't tell me. He said that I will get answers later, but I want them now.

Why won't he just tell me?

Ugh Men.

Anyway, I have to go. Elena is screaming at me to take some painkillers.

Bye byee

- Juliette.

"HEY, HOW ARE YOU feeling?" Bonnie asked the blonde as she walked into Elena's room. She was sat on the bed while Elena paced around her room.

Juliette smiled at Bonnie, shrugging her shoulders, "I feel fine, just feeling a bit tired, that's all." She answered honestly, sitting down next to the witch. "I'll try to figure out why that happened to you, I promise."

"Bonnie, You already have way too much on your plate right now. I'm fine, we will figure it out after all this sacrifice drama is over, okay?"

Bonnie just nodded before turning her attention back to Elena. "Now that you've got this back, what are you going to do with it?" Elena asked, pointing to the moonstone in her friend's hand.

Jeremy had managed to throw the moonstone out while getting attacked by Katherine, so they didn't have to worry about bribing the vampire to give it to them.

"Right now, it's what is binding the sun and moon curse." Bonnie began, "If I can figure out a way to remove the spell from the stone, the stone becomes useless."

Elena sighed, as she placed her hands on her hips, "And according to Katherine, Klaus becomes vengeful."

"Maybe, if he finds out."

Elena scoffed as she crossed her arms over her chest, "Bonnie, can't this wait?" She asked, irritation laced in her voice. "Stefan is stuck in the tomb with Katherine. We've got to get him out."

"Stefan wants me to focus on this," Bonnie replied.

Elena's eyes narrowed, her jaw clenching as she spoke. "Don't listen to him. He thinks that he's protecting me, but he's wrong."

"I am taking Stefan's side on this one. We're not going to let you get used to some creepy sacrifice ritual."

Elena looked like she was about to speak again but Jeremy entering the bedroom stopped her. "What are you guys arguing about?" he asked, looking between the two girls. His eyes lingered on Bonnie for a moment longer.

Bonnie looked at him but then quickly looked away, "We're not arguing about anything." She said with a shrug, placing the stone in her bag as she exchanged yet another awkward glance at Jeremy.

hmm.

"Also asshole, don't be eavesdropping on our conversation," Juliette added, getting off the bed and walking past her brother, shoving him out of the way jokingly. Jeremy pushed her back as he chuckled.

"I need a coffee."

"I second that Bon Bon," Juliette said, flinging her arm over the witch's shoulder as they walked out of the room, exchanging glances as they just had to wait for their plan to come into motion.

Both Juliette and Bonnie know that Elena won't want to do anything other than get Stefan out of the tomb. If Katherine wasn't in there, she might be a bit willing to do something else. But her raging jealousy is very obvious.

They both were in the kitchen as Bonnie poured the coffee into the cups, Juliette eyeing her up before speaking. "Can you de-spell the moonstone or are you just saying you can to not let Elena down?" She questioned.

Juliette knew the witch like the back of her handβ€” she was a people pleaser, always doing what others wanted in fear of disappointing themβ€” Bonnie always thought of others, never taking what she wanted into consideration.

She was a new witch and Elena, Stefan and Damon have all selfishly used her for their own personal gain, and then left her, without a thank you. Juliette worried about her most of the time, she did too much magic, way too much magic she couldn't handle.

Sometimes people who are often forgotten, need a reminder that someone is out there who cares for them.

"I can do it, I just need some help and I have someone in mind so don't worry," Bonnie replied, smiling at the blonde as she handed her the cup of coffee. "You don't have to worry about me anyway, you've got Elena to worry about.

"You know how much I worry about you, Bon. No one else does."

"And you know how much I love you for it."

There weren't many things Juliette enjoyed in life, but the quiet friendship with Bonnie Bennett was something she adored.

The two made their way towards the stairs, where Elena was briskly running down, her car keys in her hands. She definitely fell for the bait.

"Where are you going?" Juliette questioned, raising her brow.

"Uh, to see Stefan," Elena answered, avoiding eye contact. Yeah, you are so lying, Elena Gilbert.

"You're lying," Bonnie replied, shaking her head.

"No, I'm not."

"Really? Tell your face."

Jeremy came down and sat at the top step, "She took the moonstone." He informed, causing Elena to scowl at him as she questioned how he knew.

Bonnie sighed as she spoke, "We tested you, and you failed."

Elena scoffed as she rolled her eyes, annoyance evident in her features. "Klaus killed Katherine's entire family just because she crossed him. I can't let that happen." She tried to reason, tried to justify her suicide mission.

Bonnie and Juliette exchange a glance, both stepping out of the way of the brunette. Watching as she passed them, opening the door but was stopped when the invisible barrier prevented her from leaving.

She turned to face the three responsible, a scowl on her face. "What did you do?"

"It's for the best, Elena."

"Yeah, I actually want you alive, surprisingly."

DAMON HAD STOPPED BY, only to tease Elena. Juliette excused herself to the kitchen to make lunch, not particularly in the mood to listen to the two bicker. However, he had left soon after Alaric called him, informing him that a friend of Mason Lockwood, the werewolf Damon killed, was looking for Mason.

Oh yeah, you will find him rotting in his trunk!

Juliette didn't really want to get involved with all that drama, deciding it was way too tiring. She was also watching Elena's duty so she couldn't leave even if she wanted to.

Her mind was too busy overthinking the dream she had last night. She had Elijah right where she wanted, he was finally allowing her to ask questions but he only answered the ones he wanted to. Why?

Why won't he tell her why she is important to the sacrifice?

Everyone knows why Elena is important, she is the doppelgΓ€nger and her blood is what is needed. But Juliette couldn't think of what she could be important for.

Did she have to die too?

Why was she important?

And why wouldn't Elijah tell her?

"Juliette Gilbert."

A faint whisper pulled her out of her thoughts as she looked up from her sandwich, her eyebrows furrowing as she waited a moment. Maybe she imagined it.

"Juliette Gilbert."

No, it definitely was not imagined.

She spun around to see Elena and Jeremy sitting on the couch, watching the TV. Nobody else was in the house, it was just the three.

"Hey, did you guys call me?" The blonde asked her siblings, hoping they were playing a trick on her. Elena looked over the couch and shook her head before turning back around to the TV.

Juliette furrowed her brows as she stood there for a moment, processing what just happened.

Was she hearing things or going absolutely batshit crazy?

Hey guys, I wanna thank you for 2k reads! I appreciate every single one of you who reads, votes and comments on this book! You all make my day much much more brighter.

I'm so sorry that this chapter is shorter than the others, Juliette isn't really needed for most of this episode so I decided to split this chapter into two parts.

School is kicking my ass so I apologise that updates aren't very frequent. I am revising for exams and dealing with some things in my personal life, I just want you to know that I'm trying!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I cannot wait to see you in the next one!
