now another year older, and after a heartbreaking end to her relationship with tristan, lucy knows she needs to focus on her future, especially since college is fast approaching now.

however, she finds that her heart has not stopped beating for tristan dugray, and even though part of her knows she should move on after her love confession, she can't because she truly believes they are meant to be .

with stressful school projects and hard classes, lucy cannot possibly have any time to breathe. she especially has no time to breathe when her cousin crashes into stars hollow after his mother sent him off to live with his cousin and uncle, believing that they won't set him straight. bickering constantly, jess and lucy struggle to form any kind of friendship, but they find that they have more in common than most.
