              ||Eno's POV||

It's been weeks since my brilliant friends, came up with a brilliant plan to rescue me.

Osas and I met over a couple of fruit drinks, to discuss our differences. Though we weren't as close as before, but we were getting there.

Alex was now out of prison, thanks to his dad. But he was expelled from Blossom High.

Shade was a little bit closer to her mother. They were both learning to understand each other. Her mother was starting to come with the fact that, money and man, wasn't everything.

Felix was now leaving with his parents. They became happier and his dad was leaning how to become a better husband and father.

Sofia and Saviour were now a couple and wouldn't stay a seconds away from each other.

Dafe and Emem were now a hit couple. It took a really long time for Emem to accept him but she did nonetheless.

My parents had brought it upon themselves, to act as a responsible parents should. They knew what was going on in our lives and everything happening within. Which include, Felix and Dafe.

And Felix and I? We became closer than ever. Though a lot of girls were still flocking themselves around him, he never failed to show that he belonged to me and me alone.

Every students were present at the school's auditorium, which included the gang and I.

It was time for the present prefects, to transfer their prefectship to the selected Ss2 students. We normally do this, so the Ss3 students would focus on their upcoming WAEC and NECO.

"Before introducing you all to your newly elected prefect, let us do the honours, by acknowledging the old ones." The principal spoke through a microphone. "With a round of applause and a standing ovation, let's celebrate the prefects as they come to the stage."

We all stood up from our roll, which consisted of myself, Felix, Saviour, Sofia, Dafe, Emem, Shade and Osas. We walked over to the stage same time with other prefects, leaving Emem and Osas, behind.

Standing on the stage and facing the students, the principal began to acknowledge us. I looked at the faces of some of the Ss2 students. No one knew if they'd be part of the new elected prefects. Well some knew, but didn't know the positons they'll be getting.

The principal, after speaking to the students, gave the mic to Shade. Naturally, Alex was meant to give the speech. But since he got expelled from school, Shade was given the honours.

"The prefects and myself, are here to say thank you to the school bodies. We are grateful for giving us the opportunity, to prove ourselves worthy." Shade held the mic with both hands.

"It was fun while it lasted. Though this year had been packed with nothing but unsettling dramas, we hope next year would be simple for the upcoming prefects. Thank you once again." The students began to chant their favorite prefect's name, as we find our way back to our seats.

"Now, the prefects had their own students in mind to take after their reign. But with thorough evaluations from the teachers and I, we had to change some list." The principal informed everyone.

"Shit, just hope he hadn't changed the person I had in mind." Saviour wished.

"And who's that?" Emem decided to ask him.

"Jeremiah," Saviour replied.

Felix moved forward, to look at Saviour. "I kept Jeremiah on my list too."

"Let's see if he's gonna be a social or laboratory prefect." Dafe shrugged.

"He won the captain of the swimming team, right?" Emem asked and Saviour nodded. "That means I know the guy you guys are talking about."

"You're supposed to," Sofia dragged. "He helped find Alex, remember?"

"Oh," Emem nodded. "So what about you, Eno? Whom did you choose as the female sport prefect?"

"Rosemary," Osas and I said together.

Osas turned to look at me. "You actually chose her?"

I shrugged. "She's pretty good."

"What about you?" Dafe asked Shade.

"There's actually this girl and she's quite intelligent." Shade said, but didn't speak any further. Her gaze were completely on the stage.

"And now, the list of the newly elected prefects opportune to serve this great school." Everyone were silent. You could only hear small chatters.

"First we have, Omonigho Peter, as the newly elected female punctuality prefect." The students began to clap and cheer as a girl whom identified herself as Omonigho, walked up to the stage.

The principal kept calling several names and each students walked and stood on the stage.

"And next, we have the male sport prefect, Jeremiah Valentine." The students cheered the loudest, upon hearing his name.

"Ha!" I gave a loud mocking laugh, then turned to look at both Felix and Saviour. "Guess he's neither gonna be a laboratory prefect nor a social prefect."

"Good one," Emem chuckled.

"And next on the list, is the spot of the female sport prefect." The principal looked down on the list he was holding. "Rosemary Lasisi." I clapped both hands on hearing her name.

I really did not like her much but she was the best candidate out there. She could lead quite well and also play a mean basketball. That was the reason she won the captain of the basketball in the female team.

"And next is, the male laboratory prefect. Jubilee Efe." Students didn't clap much after the principal's announcement. Reasons unknown to me.

"Next on my list, we have Irene Bambe, as the female social prefect." Much names were mentioned, both assistant and main prefects.

"And now, to call on the heads of the school student bodies. These people were selected not just because of their academic success, but because they were thoroughly evaluation and was proving okay by us. They are the once to speak on behalf of all students when needed." The principal cleared his throat, to make the announcement.

"And now, for the head girl of Blossom High school," His eyes scanned everyone sitting on the auditorium. "Tatiana Ukeme!" As If she was everyone's choice right from the beginning, everyone began to clap and hail her, as they stood up from their seats.

Tatiana found her way up stage. She was pretty looking and had a small body frame. But she didn't seem happy.

"Thought as much," Shade muttered.

"Was she the girl you chose?" I asked Shade.

"Yeah," Shade nodded. "She's the one."

"And for the head boy of Blossom High," The principal paused with a smile. "Dami Afolabi!"

Jeremiah's goofy friend stood up from his seat, and walked up the stage with confidence. That made me laugh.

"These here are your newly elected prefects. Kindly respect them like the way you all did to your previous ones." The principal urged everyone, before handing over their respective badges.

After the ceremony, Felix drew me aside and took me to the love garden, away from my friends and other students.

I sat on the fresh green grass with Felix, as we looked at nothing in particular.

"Hey Eno," Felix called. "Remember when we hated each other?"

That made me to laugh. "Well you treated me like some dumb girl and then liked everyone around me, especially Emem."

"That was because you made fun of my glasses and called me ugly." He said defensively.

"It was funny," I shrugged. "And cute."

"Can't believe I called you a waste of beauty back then." My head spun to look at Felix.

"What!" I yelled in bewilderment.

Felix laughed nervously, then leaned down and kissed my forehead. "That's all in the past. What school are you planning on putting in JAMB?"

"Uniuyo," I replied. "Same with Emem."

Dad wanted both of us to school in our hometown. According to him, it would make us closer to our culture. I don't think that was gonna work, but who was I to argue. I personally didn't see anything bad in schooling there, and so did Emem.

"I'm planning on putting Unizik," Felix smiled. "Mother wants me there."

"And Saviour and Dafe?" I decided to ask.

"Dafe plans on going to Delsu, while Saviour, is applying for Unilag, since it's closer to home."

"Wow," I smiled. "Shade also kept Unilag and I'm sure she'll get in. Sofia is going to Zaria while Osas is applying for Uniben. Just hope it goes smoothly."

"Seems we're all going our separate ways then," Felix sighed. The thought of loosing my friends and even my boyfriend, made me sick.

"Come on Felix," I laughed, trying to cover it up. "They would be holidays."

I got up and leaned closer to him. "You're my boyfriend and no college guy would take me away from you. And let those Azikuwe girls know that you've got yourself a sassy lady as your girlfriend."

"Remind me to right that down on my forehead," Felix joked, then leaned forward and hugged me. We remained that way for a very very long time.

I felt grateful. Who would have thought my life would be like that of a movie or even a book.

Alex my psycho indecisive ex boyfriend, made me feel what I thought I would never be, while Osas spiced it up with her jealous childish behavior. But Felix was there to make it all better.

Though it started with a rough patch, we both learnt to smoothen things up. Felix made me really happy, he made me not feel like.....
