Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β ||Felix's POV||
I matched angrily up the stairs, with my friends not far from me. I was so angry. I wasn't sure I would be able to control my anger, without doing what was on my mind.
Beat that dude, till he slumps to the ground!
I matched over to Ss3 commercial, and badge fully opened the door. There wasn't any teacher in sight, just students having a nice time. Some were reading their school works, while others were chatting with their friends.
Shade gently placed a hand on my shoulder, in other to stop me. "I'll do the talking," She said, before walking passed us and heading straight to the front of the class.
Shade, being the head girl of Blossom High, gained respect from her fellow students. Her eyes scanned the classroom and so did we.
Alex wasn't present.
"Where's the head boy?" Shade spoke with authority. As if noticing that Alex wasn't in class for the first time, the students turned their attention to the only empty seat in the classroom.
"He hadn't been in school for close to three weeks now," One of his seat partner voiced out.
Son of a bitch!
"Is there a reason for that?" Shade asked a again.
"Does it matter?" Sofia asked, a hint of annoyance could be heard in her voice.
"It does," Shade turned to look at Sofia. "It's necessary to know the reasons, before pointing fingers."
I nodded my head at Shade words. Though I was beginning to loose patient too, I could also understand Shade's techniques. Slow and steady they say, wins the race.
"He's sick," Alex's other seat partner said, before turning his attention back to his phone.
"Did you confirm it?" Shade interrogated.
"And why should I?" The boy answered, while looking at Shade in a confused state.
"Did he tell you the time he's gonna resume?" Shade went on.
"Ask his mother," The boy fired at Shade, which prompted Shade to glare back at him.
"Thanks," Shade muttered. Then turned her attention towards us. She was about leaving, then stopped.
"By the way," Shade said, while turning her attention back to the rude boy. "The market isn't far from the school. You can go there and buy yourself some manner of speech."
With all that said, Shade walked over to us and we headed out of the classroom.
"He must have really gotten to you," Commented Sofia.
Still walking ahead of us, Shade muttered. "You've got no idea."
We all walked all the way to the love garden at the back of the school and then sat at the fresh carpeted grass.
"What are we going to do now?" Asked Saviour.
Shaking my head and sighing, I said. "I don't know. But Alex is a dead meat once I get my hands on him."
"Don't go too extreme man," Dafe advise.
"Don't go to extreme?" Emem asked with annoyance. "Did you just voice that shit out?!"
"Emem calm down," Shade tried to say, but Emem wouldn't listen.
"That mother fucker must have done something horrible to my sister and you're saying Felix, shouldn't go too extreme?" Dafe went quiet. "If murder was legal, I would have killed that mother fucker myself!"
Eno.
Eno.
Eno.
Who would have known that she would hold a strong impact to the people close to her. The group was falling apart, that I know. And the reasons were because, everyone were frustrated from not knowing the whereabouts of Eno.
We now get angry easily, even knowing that the reasons for our anger weren't something worth getting angry for.
First was Shade, the quiet one in our group. The one girl that doesn't care about what someone say to or behind her back. The only girl with the innocent mind and sarcastic free mouth, and the only girl who hardly get angry. But what did she do today? She angrily gave a sarcastic comeback to a student. And why? Just because he didn't pay her and her questions much attention.
And now, was Emem. The one with the mature mind. She was mostly the one who listens and thinks before talking. She normally calm people down and show them the less violent road to take. I knew Emem and Eno had the same character, but Emem had learnt to control hers. Displaying that character she had locked in for years, only meant one thing.
She misses her sister and wants her back.
Funny thing was that, we all did. That was why we were using all opportunities to get her back.
Dafe scooted over to Emem and held her hands in between his. "You're scared, I get it. But don't let that fear take the better part of you."
"But my sister__"
"Is still alive." Dafe said, shutting her up. "You've got that strong bond, right? You mentioned that yesterday."
"I feel sick," Emem whispered, but we all heard her. "I feel like..... I've been fed up with dirty water or something."
"What does that even mean?" A frustrated Saviour asked.
"It means that Eno needs to be rescued, before she dies of hunger." Emem looked at him. "And we can't do that by just assuming a suspect and going over to a classroom, just to delay time."
"I did that cause__"
"Cause you don't want to make another mistake with your assumptions. I get it." Shade nodded, after being interrupted by Emem.
"But that still doesn't dispute the fact that Osas might still have a hand in this." Emem continued.
"She doesn't. Looking at the theory__"
"This isn't calculus, Shade." Emem interrupted her again. "This is someone's life, my sister's life to be precise. So we can't start making mistakes."
"Go with your own advise," Shade said to Emem. But this time, with authority. "We can't start making mistakes. Why do you think I had to take things slow, when interrogating that boy? There's no room for errors, and also no room for false accusations."
"You guys smart brains are making me confuse," Saviour sighed, drawing everyone's attention to him. "Why can't we just leave everything to the police?"
"My point exactly," Dafe sighed, before swinging his hands over Saviour's shoulders.
"We will," I decided to speak. "The police will know about our idea, but not now. If my thinking is accurate, I'm sure the police will know about Alex in no time."
"So what now?" Sofia asked. She had been quiet and I was sure it was because she didn't want to add fuel to Shade and Emem's already heated fire.
"We're going to Alex's home," I declared.

After school we ahead straight to Alex's house, using my car. We took the address from one of Alex's friend, whom was on the football team.
Reaching Alex's big white gate, I hunk my horn repeatedly. A dwarf gate man, came out of the compound and walked towards our car.
"Who una dey find?" The gate man said, as he tried to look at me through the window.
I rolled down my window and looked out. "We are Alex's friends. He hadn't been in school for two weeks now, so we all wanted to see if he was alright."
The dwarf gate man rubbed his left upper arm, before speaking. "Oga Alex no dey house. But make I go ask madam for permission." I nodded and rolled my window up. I watched as the man walked back into the compound.
Seconds passed and the gate man could be seen opening the huge gate again. He gestured for me to drive through, which I did.
Already inside the huge compound, we all got down from the car.
"Madam dey inside dey await you," The gate man informed.
"Thank you," Shade smiled. We all walked carefully into the house. We haven't rehearsed what we would say once we get in there. We wanted it real, ask about Alex and get some information or some type of idea about his whereabouts.
I wasn't surprised about the size of the mansion. My father was always Alex's father's business rival, so I kind of knew his worth.
"Never knew I would be back here," Sofia cringed.
"Same here," Muttered Shade.
Saviour whom was ahead of us, stopped before we could pass through the glass door leading to the living room. "You guys have been here?!"
"I haven't," Emem cleared herself.
Sofia looked at Saviour. "Eno and Alex was once dating, remember? Once in a while, Eno lets Shade, Osas and I, accompany her to his place."
"So you know his mum?" I asked with interest.
"Yeah, She's a carefree woman without stress. I wonder how she gave birth to someone as horrible as Alex." Muttered Sofia.
We all walked into the living room, to see a light skin lady, sitting on one of the huge brown leathered couches.
"I know right," The lady said, dropping the glass cup on a small wooden stool beside her couch. "Alex can be a pain in the ass."
Ouch! She heard us.
"Good evening ma'am," Shade greeted, followed by Emem and then, the rest of us. Alex's mum stood up from her seat and walked over to us. When I thought she was going to yell and sweep us out of her house for saying ill things about her son, she surprised me by giving Shade and Sofia a huge hug.
"It's been long girls," She voiced out in a cherry tone. "I knew my son broke up with your friend, but that wouldn't stop you girls and her to come visit me once in a while."
Sofia cleared her throat, as she tried so hard to escape the woman's embrace. "We're sorry ma'am."
"So who are these people?" The woman asked, as she pointed at us with her expensive looking manicured fingers.
"That's Eno's twin sister and Eno's boyfriend," Shade said, pointing at Emem and I. "And that's Saviour, Sofia's boyfriend. And that's also Dafe."
"Together, we are Alex's friend." Saviour added.
Alex's mother clapped her hands. "Who knew Alex had these many friends, especially someone who's the boyfriend to his ex."
"Please where's Alex?" I asked, before I grew impatient. The woman offered us to sit on the couch, which we did.
"Went over to spend some time with his father," The woman replied, as she eyed me in a way that disgusted me.
"Divorce?" I went on. I knew it must have been a sensitive topic, but I didn't care.
Dafe smacked me lightly on the arm, before whispering. "Not cool man."
"Yes dearie, I am." The woman responded.
"When is he coming back?" Emem asked.
The woman shrugged. "Don't know, didn't bother to ask."
"Have you had a call to your ex husband, to see if he had arrived safely?" Shade felt astonished by the woman's nonchalant behavior.
"Why should I?" The woman replied. "My phone's calling no damn ex husband."
"When did Alex leave the house again?" I sighed, as I leaned forward a bit.
"About two weeks, I guess." I nodded at her. Coming here, I thought I would meet Alex. But I guess, luck wasn't on our side.
"Thank you," I said to her. "We'll be leaving first."
"Hey wait," The woman's hand got hold of my upper arm. "Why not stay for dinner."
"Next time ma'am," Saviour replied, and forcefully pulled the woman's hands off of mine.
We all quickly rushed out of the living room, and then out of the mansion.
"Sweet you say?" I looked at Shade and Sofia in bewilderment, as I referred to Alex's mum. "I don't even know who's worst. Whether it's Alex or the woman."
"What a waste," Saviour ignored me, and displayed his own frustration. "Our coming here, was in vain."
That brought me back to reality. Another day with no sign of progress.
"Let's just go home and get some shut eye," I advised them. "And let's hope tomorrow would be better."
Cause I know tomorrow would be better.
