Watching my dad rub the nape of his neck, was becoming tiring. He had been doing that for over a minute now, while I stood there saying nothing.

"May I go?" I quickly asked. Eno must be waiting for me, either at the indoor pool or at the auditorium.

"So," Dad cleared his throat. "You and that girl__"

"Eno," I stepped in. "Her name, is Eno."

"Eno," Dad nodded. "Are you and her..... Dating?"

"What's it to you?" I deadpanned.

"N-Nothing," Dad cleared his throat again. "I just wanted to know the things going on in your life. You're my son, remember?"

"I'm. Not. Your. Son!" I declared. "I thought I've made that clear."

"I__"

"Why are you here?" I stopped him again.

"To watch your games," A smile crawled up his lips. "You were amazing, son."

"Thank you," I scrunched my nose. "May I go now, sir?"

"And I miss you," Dad went on, his words getting serious. "I miss you and your mother."

My blood began to boil. Hearing the word 'mother' from this beast mouth, was super annoying and it was making my blood to boil.

"Never," I warned. "Never mention anything that surrounds my mother."

"Jessica, she....... She left me. She duped me!" Dad ranted.

"Who's that?" I furrowed my brows. "I don't know a Jessica."

"My personal assistant," Dad balled his fist in pure anger. "She had been using me cause of my money."

"Shocking," My voice was laced with so much sarcasm.

"She had been using my money to sustain her boyfriend." Dad continued.

"Why are you telling me all this?" I sighed.

"She stole a three point five million naira from me." Dad went on.

"Again, why are you telling me all this?" Three point five million naira, was nothing to my dad. It was just like taking a drop of water from an ocean.

"We both know that that money is nothing to cry about."

Dad scratched the back of his head a bit. "I know. I-I just need you and your mother back into my life."

"After your whore showed her true intention, right?" I rolled my eyes. "I'm leaving now."

"Son__"

"I'm leaving. If we actually need to talk, then we'll talk later." I breathed out. "The awards would be presented soon, and Eno needs my help in finding her gym bag." I acknowledged him a little, before walking past him and headed straight for the indoor pool.

Walking inside the indoor pool, I scanned the scenery for Eno, but she was no where to be seen.

I decided to head over to the auditorium. Cause maybe, she must have found her bag and went over to meet her friends at the auditorium.

Everyone was seated in an orderly manner. Guest had their personal spots, and so did the students. Luckily for me, my friends had reserved my spot for me.

Seated at my roll were; Saviour, Dafe, Sofia, Shade and Emem. I quickly walked over to them and sat in between Saviour and Dafe. I looked at my friends before opening my mouth to speak.

"Where's Eno?" I finally asked.

Emem looked over at my direction. "I was about to ask you the same thing. I thought she was with you."

"She was," I quickly clarified. "But my father showed up and Eno wanted me to talk to him, which I did. She'd informed me that she would be at the indoor pool. She also said that if I was done with the talk and she wasn't at the indoor pool, then she would be with you guys here, in the auditorium."

"She wasn't there?" Shade asked quietly.

"No," I shook my head. "I was thinking she must have found her way to this place."

"Well I'm sure she's alright. She might have gone to the bathroom or something." Sofia assured me.

"She should be fast with that," Saviour brushed off "The principal is about to call out the awards." Immediately Saviour said those words, The principal made his presence known to all in the auditorium.

"Good day distinguished ladies and gentlemen," The principal started. I'm not someone who loves zoning people out, but something inside of me was telling me that something just wasn't right. I don't know what it was and I couldn't put my finger on it either. But something was obviously wrong some where, and it wasn't letting me to focus on the principal's speech.

"This award goes to the overall best," The principal voiced out, as his assistant held several medals on a metal tray. "The overall best team for the year two thousand and twenty inter house sport, goes to the Blue team."

There was a thunderous clap from the audience, as everyone in the Blue house, that participated in the inter house sport, walked up to the stage to receive their medals.

Walking to the stage, I used the corner of my eyes to scan the auditorium for Eno. But still, I could not sight her.

"Congratulations," The principal said to me, as he placed a medal on my neck. "Keep making this school proud, both in the academic and athletic aspect."

"Thank you sir," I slightly bowed, before heading to my seat.

"And now," The principal checked his list again. "Before I will call the winners of each games, I would like to call on the best outstanding male athletic student for the boys."

He cleared his throat again, to speak. "The best outstanding male student for this breathtaking inter house sport, goes to........ Felix Paul!" Yet, another thunderous clap could be heard. I left my seat once more, and walked up to the stage, to retrieve yet another medal.

"And now for the female," The principal continued, same time I walked back to my seat. "The best outstanding female student for this year's inter house sport goes to, Eno-Obong Ekanem!" Everyone applauded, as they all waited for Eno to show herself.

"Where is she?" Saviour asked, as he tilted his head to the side. Dafe shrugged beside me, while I stood up from my seat.

Something wasn't right.

"Where are you going?" Shade asked, same time Emem stood up from her seat.

"You guys should let the adu___" A student rushed into the stage, with a bloody red sport wear, stopping Shade in whatever she was saying.

"What is this?!" The principal demanded, as the student placed the bloody clothes at his feet.

"My friend and I found this at the indoor swimming pool." The student said, with the help of a microphone.

"And this can't wait?! Can't you see that we are in the middle of a presentation?!" The Principal asked in fury.

"This is blood, sir." The student stressed on the word 'blood'. The whole auditorium were filled with chatter, as everyone tried to figure out what was going on.

The student went on, without minding the punishment that would befall him after this scene. "We believe it belongs to Eno. Her name was crafted around her inner collar."

The rest of the gang stood up at once, as they heard what the student just said to the principal.

Before I could blink, Eno's parents had rushed down to the stage. We all followed behind, to witness everything first hand.

This better not be true.

Rushing to Eno and Emem's parents side, we noticed that the sport wear was actually covered in blood.

"What is___" Lamented Eno's mother. A little sob escaped her lips, which made her broke her speech.

"Where's my daughter," She cried out. Her eyes held fear and sadness and she looked like her legs were going to give way any minute from now. She held the principal's suit jacket with trembling hands, before yelling.

"Where is Eno?!"
