I stared at the students that were putting on the same colour of sport ware as I was. Right in their mist, were; Emem, Sofia and Shade. Standing to address the students, were Osas and I.

Osas was so stubborn to let me address the students all by myself. It was an irony that we found ourselves in the same house.

I mean, I was the sport prefect. I'm supposed to lead and tell my housemates what to do. But no, Osas was trying to make me look like a fool in front of my fellow students. Looking at my housemates, I tried ignoring Osas.

"The inter house sport, is in a week's time and we are required to bring our A-game. Our main targets, are the Blue and Green house. And do you know why?" I waited for their reply.

Using the corner of my eyes, I could sight Osas foaming with anger and that gave me joy.

I decided to go on with my speech. "That's because they are tough in these aspects. The Blue house, got Felix; whom happens to be the captain of the track team, Dafe; the captain of the basketball's team and Saviour, the captain of the swim team." Everyone began to murmur. I couldn't blame them, cause even I could understand their nervousness. The inter house sport, was a big deal at our school.

"For the Blue house, we need to watch out for the following sports. The basketball, Running and swimming. I hope y'all following?" They all nodded.

"Are you done acting like you're important?" Osas fired at me.

With stunned eyes and knitted brows, I whipped my head to look at Osas.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I gave her a questionable gaze.

"It means, you're not the leader. Simple and short." Osas pointed out in a very rude way.

"Excuse you," I placed both hands on my waist. "I'm the sport prefect who happens to be in this house. That automatically makes me the leader."

"No one elected you to be the leader," Osas fired. "Dafe is the sport prefect, but he's not the leader of the Blue house. So Eno, you ain't the leader of the Red!"

"And you are?" I asked angrily. "No one appointed you to be__"

"Enough!" I turned to look at Emem. "Eno, just let her be." Emem diverted her attention to Osas. "You want to speak right? The floor's all yours. You can speak."

I kept quiet against my own will, just cause we needed peace. I stepped aside and watched Osas as she opened her mouth to speak.

"We all need to prepare for the inter house sport," She began.

Like they don't know that.

"So we are going to train like there's no tomorrow." That made me to roll my eyes. And when we thought she had more to say, Osas stood there like a statue. "You're all dismissed."

"No, they are not." I quickly stepped in. "We've still got a lot to talk about. So be a sweetheart and stop acting like the leader, when you've got none of the qualities."

I turned my attention to everyone. "As I was saying, we need to focus on the sports mentioned earlier, if we actually want to defeat the Blue team. And as for the Green team, they aren't that good. But they've got a sport they are actually good at, which is the football."

I decided to stop, so as to think of my next word. "The Green Team are actually good because of Alex. And Alex happened to be very good at football. So on our next meeting, we'll have to select those that are good at the various sports I mentioned earlier."

"The inter house sport is not like other sports. The teams like we know, would be mixed. That means, boys and girls would be on one team. So no time for slacking." They all nodded to my satisfaction. I decided to dismiss the meeting. "This meeting section, is dis__"

"Has come to an end." Osas had to beat me to it. I shook my head, as I tried to control my emotions.

Just like every typical Nigerian students, everyone began to rush out of the gym, leaving Emem, Sofia, Shade, Osas and I, behind.

Osas and I were on a really intense stare down, and none of us were ready to call it truce.

"Here we go again," Shade muttered.

"What was that all about?!" I boomed in anger. If look could kill, Osas would have been ten feet under.

"What you deserve," Osas replied without missing a beat. "Stop acting like you're important. Stop acting like you're the main girl in some stupid book."

"I never said I was the main girl in anything!" I yelled, The rest of the gang knew better than to interrupt.

"Well you are!" Osas screamed out her lungs. "Everything revolves around you, Eno! Did you stop to think about how I felt? Do you think it was easy for me being in your shadows?!"

"You were never in my shadow," I tried telling her.

"I was!" Osas kept yelling like there was no tomorrow. "Everyone had their eyes on you. You were In the spotlight, and everything you did, you did with ease."

I kept quiet as I watched Osas. "The rest of us were like minions to you. Our life's were just extras. Do you know how I've always felt, watching everything work well for you? Even when I knew you didn't deserve half of the good things in your life."

"So that's why you hate me?" I asked in bewilderment.

"Yes!" Osas snapped. "What type of ridiculous question is that?"

I shook my head in pity as my eyes landed on Osas once more "If that's the case, then I'm sorry for you."

"You were never in my shadow, Osas. You were just so selfish and self centered. If you think Sofia or even Shade were extras, why is everything going great with them and not you?" I lifted my brows. "You've always been someone who had been jealous of me, for reasons unknown to me. And that's the reason why no one wants you."

Osas wasn't someone to exchange words with cause no matter how many times I tried to make her shut up, she returns it with ten folds. I decided to head over to the gang, even though I was aware of Osas' intense gaze.

"Are you alright?" Emem asked. I nodded as we began to stroll out of the gym.

Five feet away from Osas, I halted. I turned to see that Osas, still had her eyes on me.

"You've got a childish way of thinking," I said to her. "Stop being jealous of others, cause you're you and there's no body like you in this world. Why I'm where I am today, isn't because I'm perfect. As you can see, I'm far from perfect. I've got a nasty attitude that makes people run away from me."

I strode over to her once more. "I don't try to be what I'm not, and I don't try to be someone else. I'm too busy to envy someone else, and I advice you to do the same."

My phone beeped in my pocket, and I fetched it out, to see a message from Felix.

Felix
Will you accompany me to the super market today? Wanna grab some stuff for mother.

- 4 : 01pm

Since we were done with school for the day, I was more than glad to go with him.

Me
Sure. Meet you at your car.

- 4 : 03 pm

"Someone's smiling," Sofia hollered. I quickly cleared my throats out of habit.

I looked at Emem. "You can go home without me, I need to accompany Felix to the supermarket."

"Take all day," Emem laughed. "No wait, don't take all day. Mum and Dad would start asking questions.

I chuckled but kept quiet. I remembered Osas was still standing behind me, so I turned to face her. " You can ignore or listen to my advise but__"

"I would never take any advise from you!" Osas shut me up. "And you'll pay for all the humiliation. Trust me Eno, you'd pay painfully!"

A/N - Hey everyone, how's your weekend going? Hope it's not boring.

So here's a new chapter. I want to know what you guys think about Osas in this chapter.

Do you think her excuse for hating Eno is acceptable?

Would love to hear your thought on it.

Don't forget to vote and share, it would mean a lot. And thanks for being patient.... Love you.

Next update : Saturday or Sunday.
