||Felix's POV||
I watched Eno and Alex's retrieving figures, with broken hearth.
How could she? How could she choose Alex over me? I thought we both shared something genuine.
I knew I fucked up, and I knew I wasn't supposed to hide the bet for too long. I was only waiting for the perfect timing. But I guess luck wasn't on my side.
She chose Alex.
"Hey Felix," Shade voice sounded distant. I was slowly drifting out of reality. The only girl I've sincerely loved. The only girl that have ever taken my mind off of my fucked ass dad and weak mum, chose someone else.
It was obvious, on how she looked, spoke and helped Alex up. And what did she do to me? She yanked me away from her life.
"Felix," Shade placed her hand on my shoulder. "I'll talk to her."
I sighed, before looking at Shade. "She'd made her choice."
"I promise to talk to her," She still insisted.
"Never mind that," I muttered, as I reached for my backpack, which was still laying on the floor. "Class is about to start soon. Let's go."
I walked side by side with Shade, until we finally arrived at our class. I left her and walked over to my seat.
I sat down in silence, as I decided to tune everybody out.
"F-Felix. Felix my man." Saviour tried to ease the tension surrounding us. I sighed but ignored him.
"Are you still angry with me? I swear, I never meant to do that." He tried again.
"The whole situation might completely be his fault, but he's still your friend." Dafe tried to defend Saviour.
"I'm not mad at you Saviour," I told him with all honesty.
"But we don't talk anymore like we used to do," Whined Saviour.
"That's because I've been trying to get Eno back. But there's no need for that anymore." I gently placed my head on my desk, to get some peace of mind.
"You're giving up?!" Dafe asked stunned.
"I'm not giving up willingly," I snapped a little, Which made Emem to look at me. I wasn't surprised she heard me. Her seat was located on the left role, opposite ours.
"What do you mean by that?" Dafe asked me.
"Arrrggghhh!" I felt frustrated being bombarded with series of questions. "She'd chosen Alex."
"What?!" Emem stood up from her seat and walked towards ours. I guess she heard that too. "Alex of all people."
Immediately she said that, Shade and Sofia, stood up from their seats and headed out of the classroom.
"This is all my fault," Saviour muttered beside me.
"I told you not to blame yourself," I reminded him.
"I gotta fix this," He replied absent-mindedly, not paying attention to my words. He quickly got up from his seat and walked out of the class.
"I can't believe my sister chose Alex," Emem sighed with furrowed brows as she folded her arms below her chest. "I just can't believe it."
I opened my mouth, ready to reply Emem. But a faint sound came out from my backpack.
I opened the zipper and realized it was my phone ringing. I fetched it out of the backpack and looked down at the caller ID. It was from Mum.
"Hello mum," I said in a cheerful tone. I never wanted my mum to get worried about my wellbeing.
"F-F......" Sobs. Sobs was all I heard. My mum was crying on the phone. I promptly stood up from my seat, ignoring the concern call from Dafe and Emem, and walked out of the classroom.
"Why are you crying, mum?" I asked aloud, once I found myself an empty classroom.
"Y-Y__"
"Calm down mum, please." I tried calming her down.
"Your f-father have f-finally b-brought his secretary t-to live with u-us." I felt the anger like I've never felt before, rush through me.
"He did what?!" My voice echoed in the empty classroom.
"Y-Y__"
"Stop talking, mum." I tried to think, which was almost impossible. "I'm coming home."
"B-But you still have___"
"School?" I helped her with her words. "That's not important. What's important right now, is you." I quickly hung up after saying that. I knew mum would talk me out of my rash decision of coming home when it's not yet closing hours. But I wasn't going to leave her alone with that beast.
I searched for my driver's number, before dialing it up.
"Good morning sir," His voice echoed on the other side.
"Get to my school, now!"

I stepped out of the car even before my designated driver pulled over, and quickly ran into the house.
I panted like I just ran a marathon, as I scanned the living room with my eyes.
I stormed towards the dining room to see that man whore, laughing with the lady young enough to be his daughter. I ignored him as I head for the stair case. There was only one person in my mind right now, mother.
Once in front of her room, I pushed the door open and walked in. Mum sat at the edge of her bed, holding a rumbled and damped tissue paper in her right hand.
"Mum," I whispered. My mum felt and looked like a living corps. And I was so mad cause it was that asshole's fault.
Asshole.
I turned with fury and rushed out of mother's room. Mum called after me but I ignored her completely as I ran downstairs.
Once downstairs, I stormed into the dining room, pulled that man away from his sex toy and punched him hard on his left cheek.
"Son?!" the asshole was so shocked that he could not even speak.
"Son?!" I spat at him. "Am I still a son to you?" I reached for his shirt and held it tightly with my fist.
"Son?" I asked again in bewilderment. "Don't ever call me that cause you ain't worthy to be my father!"
"Calm down son,"
"I told you not to call me that!" I yelled murder. "You brought your sex toy to your home?!"
"Language," The asshole scolded.
"You don't have the right to scold me anymore." I turned to look at the sex toy beside him. "Aren't you ashamed, breaking a fellow woman's home?"
"Hey," She said in an irritating high pitch tone. "In my defence, your dad came to me."
Count yourself lucky I don't hit girls.
"Come on mum," I said to mum, who was watching everything from a distance, with tear filled eyes. "We're leaving."
"Son," The asshole tried to stop me, but I gave him a murderous glare.
"W-Where are we going?" Mum voice cracked a bit, from all the crying.
"To uncle's house," I turned to look at mother. "Your brother's home is way better than this hell hole."
"B-But I don't want to go to my brother's home. I don't want to leave your fath___"
"There's no room for argument," I held her wrist, as I gently led her fragile being up the stairs. Mid way up the stairs, the asshole called after me.
"We can talk about this, son." I felt like punching him again, but mum's wellbeing was my number one priority. I knew she would be really sad, to see that man and I, engage into another fight.
"There's nothing to talk about," My voice held finality. "You've got what you've wanted. Enjoy your life without mum and I in it."
