||Eno's POV||

"Wakeup!!!"

"Oh my God!" I shot up from my sleeping bag, to see the rest of my teammates yawning with tired eyes. I turned to look at both sides. Felix was on my right, while Dafe was on my left.

"What was that?" I asked, referring to what woke me up.

"Take a guess," Felix nudged his head forward. I followed his direction, to see Mr Solomon with a microphone in his hands.

"I said, Wakeup!"

"Okay, that's it!" Felix snapped. He got up from the mat he slept on, and neatly folded it.

"Where are you going man?" Dafe asked Felix.

"To take a shower," Felix grasped his backpack, before his gaze landed on me. "Classes are about to start soon. See you later, Eno." Felix waved at me, and headed for the exist.

"Up up people!" Mr Solomon, continued with his orders. "Go over to your respective locker rooms, and get back here in the next fifteen minutes."

I sighed before getting hold of my gym bag. Heading towards the exist, someone tripped me. I almost fell with my face flat on the floor, if not for the help of my stamina.

I turned to look at the individual, who had the guts to trip me.

Anger boiled into my blood stream, as I watched Osas throw nasty comments my way.

"Did you just trip me?" Venom was dripping from my voice.

"What are you going to do? Use your evil witch powers to torment me?!" She rolled her eyes. Her minions who was sitting beside her, laughed like hyenas.

I looked at Osas, and gave her a one-sided smirk, before heading out of the basketball's court.

After having my shower, I wore my jersey and walked over to the tainted mirror. It seemed like everyone had left the locker room. It wasn't my intention to delay in the shower. Just that, I was planning on a thousand and one ways to deal with Osas.

I grasped my gym bag once I was done, and decided to head out of the shower room. But I stopped on my track when I heard someone whistling.

Osas walked out of the shower and headed to where I previously stood.

"Oh, it's you." She said in disgust. "I knew I smelt something nasty."

I laughed mischievously, before walking over to the door. I bolted it so no one could get in.

"What are you up to?!" Osas snapped, but I could hear a hint of nervousness in it. "Fighting is against the rules!"

"Where's the prove?" I gave her a questioning shrug, as I dangerously walked towards her.

"Eno!" Osas cried, "Don't do something you'd regret."

I stopped, watched her a little, then laughed out loud. "Trust me Osas, I won't regret this."

I grasped her ponytail with my fist, then dragged her all the way to the other side of the room. I roughly shoved her on the hard concrete floor, which in the process made a 'thud' sound.

"Eno!" She cried for real, as she scanned her body for any injuries.

"I'm just getting started," I informed her. I looked at her body, and laughed a little. "Oh look, you're already sweating. How about you cool of for a bit."

I held her ponytail tightly, and harshly dragged her to one of the shower heads.

"My hair! Eno, my hair!" I knew it hurt so bad cause I could see veins popping out of her forehead. But I didn't give a damn about what she felt at that moment.

I through her harshly on the tiles floor, and watched as she stared back at me with angry red eyes. I started to force her mouth open, before turning on the shower head.

I watched as Osas struggled to breathe. She wasn't able to breathe cause I was holding her mouth open, same time water streamed down her face. When I realised that I had had my fill, I let go of her. Osas rushed out of the shower, and gasped for air.

"You've downgraded me to this level, Eno!" Osas yelled in anger. "I'll get you for___"

"Oh shut up." I said with authority. "Just cause I'm all threats and no actions lately, doesn't mean you'd take me as a fool."

"Trip me again and trust me, you'd find yourself in an emergency room." I turned and headed for the door.

The rest of the training went on smoothly. Osas pretended like I never had an encounter with her in the locker room.

After saying my goodbyes to my teammates, I grasped my gym bag and went straight to the love garden.

School was over, but I knew the girls would be waiting for me.

I found them sitting on the grass, so I ran over to them and slumped myself on Sofia's lap.

"Eno!" Sofia whined, "Get up!"

"Pay me," I wriggled my brows, a habit I learnt from Felix.

"To get up from my lap?! Unbelievable." Sofia playfully shoved me, and I landed on the floor. "So, how you preparing for tomorrow's game?"

I shrugged, "We're good. Just hope we're good enough to win."

"Don't worry," Emem patted me on the shoulder. "You'll be amazing."

I smiled warmly at her, then nodded my head. "Let's go guys."

We all agreed to go over to my house, so we could ask mum and dad about the conversation they had with Shade's mum.

Soon, we arrived at father's house. Emem and I did the honours by ushering Sofia and Shade in.

Once inside the living room, we sighted dad working on some important business documents on his laptop, while mum was watching her after work Mexican series.

"Good evening dad, evening mum." Emem and I greeted at the same time. Dad and mum turned to glance at us.

"Oh, you guys are back." Her eyes landed on Shade. "How are you faring?"

"Fine Mrs Ekanem," Shade replied politely.

We all sat down and waited for either mum and dad to speak. Dad decided to do the honours.

"We both talked to your mother as promised," Dad looked at Shade. "But to what we've noticed, your mother really trust Flynn, and thinks you're just trying to seek attention."

I felt Shade tensed up beside me. She was going through a lot, and her mother wasn't helping matters.

"In other words, she chose Flynn over me." Shade quickly wiped the tears that rolled down her left cheek.

"But," Dad quickly added, once he felt pity for Shade. "We made a deal with your mother."

"A deal?" I asked as I sat upright.

"This coming Sunday night, we agreed for your Mum to pretend that she would be having a late night board meeting, leaving you and Flynn alone in the night. And when it's like twenty minutes later, she'd sneak back into the house and go straight to your room. We agreed for her not to let Flynn know about this."

"So, my mum needs prove to believe her own daughter." Shade said in bewilderment. "What was my mum's say in all this?"

Mum sighed deeply. "It took a lot of persuasion, cause your mother believes you're lying and just needed attention. But at the end, she agreed. According to her, she wanted to prove my husband and I wrong."

"Thank you Mr and Mrs Ekanem," Shade bowed slightly. "I've got to go." She got up from the lathered arm chair.

"Me too," Sofia promptly stood up, and waved her hands at mum and dad. "Bye Ma, bye Sir." She swung her hands on Shade's shoulders, before looking at us. "Bye guys."

We all watched as Sofia and Shade walked out of the living room.

"Poor child," Mum sighed, before drifting her full attention back to her Mexican series.

I laid on my bed, after I've said my usual night prayers. I tried forcing myself to sleep, which wasn't working. I wanted as much sleep as possible, cause tomorrow was a big day for me.

My phone lit up on the bedside. I grasped it, to see an unread SMS.

Felix
Are you sleeping?

- 9 : 04pm

I chuckled a bit, then decided to reply his message.

You
No. What is it?

- 9 : 06pm

Felix
Nothing out of the ordinary.
I'm gonna call you. Promise me you'd pick up?

- 9 : 06pm

I couldn't help but smile.

You
Sure.

- 9 : 08pm

Almost immediate I sent the message to Felix, an incoming call appeared on my screen.

I cleared my throat, rehearsed some hellos, then finally answered his call. "Hello?"

"Hey," Felix cool sweet voice filled my ears. "I just wanted to say something before you go to sleep."

My brows furrowed a bit. "What is it?"

Felix didn't reply immediately. nevertheless, I waited patiently for him.

"Good luck, I'm sure you're gonna do great at tomorrow's game."

It was a small gesture that meant everything to me. I didn't force to hide my smile this time around, I let it display freely on my face. "Thank you, Felix."

I heard him clear his throat, "Well...... I gotta let you have a goodnight rest. Bye Eno."

I nodded my head, then shot my eyes when I realised that he could not see me. "Bye Felix."

I ended the call with a smile on my face. If there was any trace of sleep in my eyes before, then it was all gone now.

All I could think of was the one guy that hunts my sanity so badly, Felix.
