       IT WAS THE END. THANOS HAD COME TO EARTH AND HE WAS ON A MISSION TO COME FOR THE INFINITY STONES. THEY HAD FAILED. Persephone was laying down on a bed, her skin was pale and her hair was like ebony. She looked like a ghost and she wasn't herself. She was currently in Wakanda with Shuri by her side.

The young princess looked worried as she looked out onto the battlefield. Persephone felt helpless, she was too weak to help them and there was no hope. She got up slowly from where she was and looked out the window.

"What are you doing?" Shuri asked worriedly.

"I just want to see," Persephone answered, "I have g help them,"

"You're too weak," she reminded her, "There's nothing you can do,"

Persephone was quiet, "I can try..." Persephone tried to see if she could control reality but when she did she instantly felt weak to her stomach. Shuri helped her sit down and Persephone threw up in the bucket that was next to her. Anytime Thanos. acquired one of the stones, Persephone would grow weaker and weaker.

He had collected five out of the six stones, once he collected the mind stone, she would only have a few minutes left to live. He was close and Persephone was almost dead and she didn't want Shuri to worry about her. She was just a girl and she didn't have to witness Persephone's death.

"Should I tell Thor to come here?" She asked worriedly.

Persephone shook her head, "No, he's the closest we have to defeating Thanos,"

"But you're—"

"I know," Persephone said, "But defeating him is more important. He's a monster," Persephone reminded her.

Shuri looked worried, she already was because her brother was out there fighting and she didn't know what his fate would be. "Your brother will be fine," she reassured her, "You're both very strong people,"

That's when she felt it. A large pang in her chest. Persephone felt the wind get knocked out of her and Shuri looked like she was going to cry. Before she could do anything, Persephone saw her slowly turn to dust.

"Shuri! No! Shuri, don't go!" Persephone yelled. She started to cry. She didn't know what to feel anymore. Shuri looked confused and scared and Persephone wanted to hug her but she was paralyzed in her own body.

She felt weak and sick to her stomach. When she disappeared, Persephone started to cry. She let the tears roll down her cheeks as she sobbed for her life and for the young princess. It was over. Thanos had gotten the mind stone which meant that Vision was dead.

She lay in her bed as felt her body weaken. It wasn't until Steve, Thor, Nat, Wanda, and Okoye came into the room. Okoye looked where Shuri was standing and she turned her back and left, she was trying to hold strong.

"I know," Persephone croaked, "It's okay," Thor quickly sat by Persephones side as he held her hand. She lay her head on his chest as everyone circled around her. Her eyes that were once filled with life, looked sunken in. She was pale and thin and her eyes were swollen and red.

"We failed," Thor said, "It was all my fault,"

"No it wasn't," Nat told him, "You wouldn't have known,"

Thor was quiet, "It's okay," Persephone reassured him, "He does things without your knowledge, it's okay."

"Half of the population is gone," Steve reminded them, "What are we going to do,"

"While I'm here, I want to give a word of advice," she said slowly, "You're gonna kick his ass. One day, you'll find him and kill him. Show him that you're not weak, don't run and hide. Go at him and destroy him. Avenge everyone that's gone," Persephone felt a tickle in her throat and started to cough. When she looked at her hand it was covered in blood.

"I've done terrible things when I was with Thanos. I want to apologize for everything I did. If I hurt any of you. When I hurt Loki.." she looked up at Thor who was holding back tears, they all were, "I'm sorry. You all accepted me and let me be apart of your family. I will truly be grateful for that, if you see Tony. Tell him I said "Thank you" for everything and he deserves all the love in the world,"

"Persephone," Wanda said, "You're going to be okay,"

Persephone shook her head. "I'll be okay, I'll be in a better place," she looked up at Thor and smiled, "I wanted to give you something but I'm too weak,"

"What is it?" Steve asked curiously.

"The necklace... around my neck," she started, there was a small necklace dangling from Persephones neck, it was the shape of a pomegranate, "I want you to take it and remember me,"

They all nodded, "Whatever you want," Thor said.

That's when Persephone started to feel her eyes close. She felt weak but at peace for once in her life. She saw a bright light and followed as the last tear fell from her eyes.

When Persephone opened her eyes wide again, she was in Valhalla. She was wearing a white flowy gown and a crown on her head. When she turned around, she was a cliff over looking the water and she saw a figure standing near.

She furrowed her brows and walked towards the figure, when she looked, it was Loki. "Well, it's good to finally meet you, old friend," she said with a smile.

"Persephone?" Loki questioned, "You're here,"

"I am, I never expected you here," she said with a smile.

"How did you like Earth?" He asked while they looked over into the water surrounding them.

"It was good, I learned many valuable lessons from my life."

"Like?"

"Humanity isn't terrible, there are people worth fighting for. They're full of spirit and passion, they're smart and courageous and amazing," she said, "But..."

"But, what?"

"There will always be blood in the water."
