ย ย ๐ฑ๐จ๐บ๐ท๐ฌ๐น ๐ถ๐ท๐ฌ๐ต๐ฌ๐ซ ๐ป๐ฏ๐ฌ ๐ซ๐ถ๐ถ๐น before the Chambers girl even turned off her bike, leaning against the door frame, hands tucked into his dark blue jeans. A lopsided grin was painted on his face as he watched the beautiful girl turn off the motorcycle and pull off her helmet, resting it on the handle. She then grabbed the white plastic bag from her tiny compartment before heading up the couple steps of the porch.
ย ย Jasper pointed at the full bag with a raised brow. "I thought you were just getting popcorn?"
ย ย "I did get popcorn," Liz blinked at him innocently.
ย ย The corner of his lips lifted higher. "Mhmm, what else is in the bag?"
ย ย Liz casually tried to hide the bag behind her back. "Movies. It's movie night, remember Jazz? Popcorn and movies."
ย ย Amusement could not be hidden from his golden eyes as crossed his arms, waiting for her to break, which didn't take long as her shoulder slumped and pouted adorably. "It's not my fault."
ย ย "Of course not." Jasper assured her as the curly blonde brought the bag back in front of her.
ย ย "They had the candy right next to the popcorn in the video store. It's like they know I'm weak when it comes to sugar. They set me up."
ย ย "I'm going to have a serious word with their manager." Jasper amuses.
ย ย Liz blinked up at him, still pouting. "You're not ashamed of me?"
ย ย Jasper reached up and brushed a piece of her bushy hair behind her ear, caressing his cheek as he did so. "Never. I would have thought something was wrong with you if you did not return with some kind of chocolate."
ย ย "You get me so well," Liz giggled before reaching up and kissing his cheek quickly. She then skipped into his currently empty house. Last week, he had organized with the others in order to have the house all to himself. He went hunting yesterday by himself so he didn't have to worry about anything. Edward was with Bella and Carlisle was at the hospital in a ten hour surgery. The others were out hunting, so Jasper and Liz can have the house to themselves.
ย ย This is the date Liz has anxiously been waiting for. They have sort of been on others since prom, but mostly that was them just going for runs or spending time at the abandoned firehouse. Now as Liz walks into the living room where the large plasma television hangs on the wall, she drops the bag on the coffee table and removes her jacket before sitting on the white couch. Jasper was at her side instantly as he watched her start to pull the bags of Hershey Kisses, gummy bears, peppermint patties and popcorn from the bag as well as four DVD boxes.
ย ย Liz turned to him, all four movies in her lap before holding up the first one. "Okay, so I thought we might start with 'Road House' first. It's my Nana's favorite and honestly I think you might enjoy the more action/thriller kind of genre. Then, I think we could watch 'The Outsiders' which is a classic in itself. I even read the book, so that should tell you how much I loved the movie. Then we'll jump into Ghost which is another classic but more of a romance, heartbreaking kind of feeling before finally, the masterpiece, 'Dirty Dancing'."
ย ย Jasper couldn't help but grin, loving how excited she was. It was so adorable and he loved how passionate she was about her movies. Spending an entire day watching movies with this gorgeous woman he gets to call his was definitely a dream come true. "Whatever you think is best. Esme made you mac and cheese for you to have for dinner later."
ย ย Liz hummed, just thinking about it. "Gosh, I love that woman. For someone who doesn't eat, she sure knows how to cook."
ย ย Jasper chuckles as he takes the first disc and puts it in the DVD player, grabbing the remote before going down to sit next to the blonde, draping his arm around her. Liz didn't hesitate to cuddle up close to his side, shaking out the blanket he had out for her and bringing it up to her chest.
ย ย The couple spent all of Saturday watching four of the greatest Swayze movies of all time. They took a break after the third movie to heat up the mac and cheese before starting the next one and spent the time it was cooking discussing the ones they watched. As Liz had predicted, he preferred 'Road House' over 'The Outsiders' and 'Ghost'. They had even gotten into a tiny disagreement when Jasper admitted to not really liking 'Ghost' all that much. He argued that it was too sad for his taste, but in truth, he just didn't like imagining the fact that something like that could happen to Liz. That she could be taken from him in the blink of an eye and he'd have no control over it whatsoever.
ย ย He never voiced it though, just let Liz believe he doesn't like those heartbreaking, sad movies.
ย ย By the end of the fourth one, it was around seven-thirty and Liz didn't even waste time before turning to the man next to him with an expected look, eyes shining brightly. "Well, what did you think?"
ย ย "Definitely liked it better than Ghost." He stated, stopping the credits using the remotes. "Also understand why it's called Dirty Dancing. But I liked it."
ย ย Liz couldn't help but roll her eyes playfully. "Oh, that's right, cowboy. Let me guess. You're used to your two steps and hoedowns, right?"
ย ย Jasper couldn't help but burst into laughter. "I have never been to a hoedown."
ย ย "Really? I have, they are fun."
ย ย "When exactly did you go to a hoedown? And where?"
ย ย "When I was twelve. My parents, Ester and I went to Tennessee with our Nana for the summer. Her boyfriend at the time was from Tennessee and invited us out there. It was one of those rare times my parents swallowed their pride and allowed my Nana to pay for our plane tickets, knowing they couldn't afford it. It was in a barn and everything. I was rocking the flannel shirt, and these cute pink cowgirl boots and matching cowgirl hat. We had a blast." Liz explains, reflecting on that core memory she hasn't thought about in a long time, smiling fondly.
ย ย Jasper was watching her admiringly, listening carefully to her words. "Did all of you dance?"
ย ย Liz nodded softly. "I had to beg my dad, though. He's not the best dancer, but he always had a hard time saying no to his little girl. He tripped over his feet a few times before he finally got the hang of the dance."
ย ย Jasper suddenly was hit with a wave of emotion, mostly sadness but it was gone quickly. He reached out and cupped her cheek. "Sounds like the perfect family trip."
ย ย Liz leaned into his hand and smiled sadly. "It really was."
ย ย Over time, Jasper learned to tell the difference between Liz wanting to continue the conversation or wanting to change the topic. It was something he had to learn to do on his own, since he can't exactly rely on his abilities when it comes to telling exactly how she was feeling. Now, he knew, she wanted to change the subject, the topic of her parents was always something she really struggled with, though she does seem to be talking about them more and more, which is progress in of itself.
ย ย "How about when your knee heals up more, I'll teach you how to two step?" Jasper changed the subject, which the Chambers girl greatly appreciated.
ย ย She raised her thin brows at her boyfriend. "Really? Doesn't that require a lot of movement?"
ย ย "I'll just show you some simple steps."
ย ย Liz jumped up excitedly and grabbed his arm tightly. "Oh, after that, we should learn the final dance in 'Dirty Dancing'. I've always wanted to do that famous lift."
ย ย Jasper eyed her, skeptically. "Is this the real reason you wanted me to watch this movie? So you can convince me to learn that dance?"
ย ย Liz just blinked at him innocently. "Not... intentionally."
ย ย Jasper chuckled before nodding his head. "Well, the dance didn't seem that hard, anyway."
ย ย The curly haired female just squealed, throwing her arms around him which he caught, both allowing himself to fall back into the couch, the only sound that could be heard inside the house was pure, overpowering love and laughter.

ย ย ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ Chambers did something stupid in order to help someone she cares for, she was beaten up pretty badly in a ballet studio and ended up in the hospital for about a week before she was released. This time, she jumped off a freaking cliff in order to rescue the exact same person.
ย ย However, it seems her efforts were unnecessary, seeing as by the time she got to Bella who was not responsive, attempting to drag her weightless body from the sea, Jacob suddenly appeared by her side and motioned under water for her to swim ahead and that he's got her.
ย ย Liz hasn't really swam in a couple years. She was never one to go into the water and she had been smart in doing so. She was shivering and the pain in her knee was getting pretty intense, but she kept paddling until she was able to finally touch the ground and dragged herself out, Jacob carrying Bella right behind her. Once they were finally on the same, Jacob set the girl down and Liz was at her side, noticing how pale the girl was and began to panic.
ย ย "She's not breathing, Jake." Liz frantically said, realizing how her chest wasn't rising or falling.
ย ย "I know," Jake groans, tilting Bella's head up slightly before pinching her nose and breathing three breaths into her mouth before administering CPR. Liz couldn't stop the tears from falling from her eyes, her hands shaking violently. Jake breathed three more breaths into Bella's mouth before going back to chest compressions, Jake looking back up at the shivering. "What happened?"
ย ย Liz blinked out another tear as she swallowed the lump in her throat. "I-I don't know. I tried to stop her, but she just jumped." Trying to see her vampire ex-boyfriend. But she decided to leave that out.
ย ย "Breathe," Jake groans as he pinches her nose and breathes more air in and goes back to compressions. "Come on, Bella. Breathe."
ย ย After a couple more compressions, the unconscious girl sucked in a small breath, slowly starting to come back. Liz let out a choked sigh of relief, wiping her face with her wet sleeve and sitting back into the sand. Bringing her knees to her chest, she took a moment to calm herself down as Jacob coaxed Bella back to consciousness.
ย ย "Jake?" Bella whispered, a bit startled. It was Jake's turn to sigh in relief as he helped Bella sit up. The brunette allowed him to hold her up as she looked over at the blonde, noticing how distraught and worried she was. She was also soaking wet, her once straight hair was dripping wet and slowly gaining its natural curls back. "Liz?"
ย ย ย Liz sniffled and looked over at Bella, a mixture of anger and concern on her face. "You scared the hell out of me, Bella."
ย ย "I'm sorry," Bella muttered, looking directly at Liz. "I'm so sorry."
ย ย Liz didn't respond, just looked back at the sand while Jacob never took his eyes off the girl he loves. "What the hell were you thinking? Huh?"
ย ย "I just wanted to see something." Is all Bella tells him. Liz scoffed, glaring at her old friend hard.
ย ย "Did you see it, Bella?" She snapped, earning a glance from both of them. Liz never tore her angry gaze from the stupid brunette. "Was it worth it?"
ย ย Bella just blinked at Liz, who couldn't stand being here any longer and finally got up, trying her best to ignore the pain in her knee as she stormed away from the two insufferable people just as she witnessed Paul jogging over towards her, Sam not too far behind him.
ย ย "Liz, are you alright?" Paul asked, concern written on his face. Liz just nodded tiredly, having to swim with her knee killing her did not help. She grabbed onto his arm for support, needing her brace but realizing she took it off at the top of the cliff.
ย ย "Get them home!" Sam called out, the four turning towards the leader of the pack who pointed to something behind him. "I'm going to go help out over at Harry's place."
ย ย "Harry Clearwater?" Liz muttered curiously, looking over at Paul. "What happened?"
ย ย "He had a heart attack." Paul whispered solemnly. "He didn't make it."
ย ย Can this day get any worse?
><><><
ย ย ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ had taken both girls back to get their things, Jake leaving them with Paul as he got their stuff from the cliff. Once Liz had her brace back on, it was much easier for her to move around, not as painful. But the two werewolves suggested putting her bike in the back of Bella's truck and having Jacob give her a ride home, she immediately declined. She did not want to be in a vehicle with the two love birds, she'd never make through their awkward tension as they were clearly attracted to one another, though Bella has yet to admit her own feelings.
ย ย Paul even offered to drive her back, but she just hugged him tightly and told him she would be fine. Her wool coat only helped a little, but the cold was very brutal. The drive felt longer than it actually was, but when she saw her house, she was actually grateful they lived just outside the reservation.
ย ย Danny's truck was not in front of the house, which was a good thing because it meant the house was empty. If Harry Clearwater passed away, Ester was definitely over there helping out the best she could in that trouble time. Paul had filled her in on what had happened. Apparently when Harry was out hunting with Charlie for this 'wolf', thanks to Bella's so helpful report before she learned the truth about the guys, he apparently had an encounter with Victoria. She held him in the air but was pulled off by Jacob, but that didn't stop Harry's heart from giving out.
ย ย It was all just so awful.
ย ย Liz didn't waste time jumping in the shower, washing off the salt water and enjoying the steaming heat against her cold skin. Once she washed up, she changed into a random pair of jeans and black tank-top, throwing a gray sweatshirt over herself. She threw her wet hair into a bun, not having the energy to blow dry and straighten. Climbing back down the stairs to make herself something to eat, she heard her phone ringing from where she left it in her wool coat.
ย ย Going for it, she pulled it out and stared down at the screen, sighing when she saw it was once again an unknown caller. Liz debated on just not answering it. It could be just someone pulling a prank. But it was just so strange... too strange to be a coincidence. So against her better judgment, she answered the phone.
ย ย "Hello?" Liz was met with silence, already knowing how this was going to go. Groaning in annoyance, she tilted her head back and rubbed her eyes tiredly. "Look, dude, I can't stress this enough, but you have the wrong number! So please, for the sake of my sanity, stop-"
ย ย "Please don't hang up."
ย ย Liz's entire body froze at the sound of the voice on the other end. Her heart basically dropped to her stomach and it was difficult to breathe. It was like she was back in Victoria's grasp, except this grip was invisible, much more crippling. No. No, it can't be. It can't be him. It's not him.
ย ย It was Liz's turn to be silent, clutching onto the phone tightly, still as a statue. She tried to speak, her lips were moving, but no words were coming out. She just heard a voice she thought she'd never hear again. It was a voice that would be impossible to forget, one she knew she could never forget.
ย ย After another minute of silence, the caller spoke again. "Please come outside, Liz."
ย ย That is what it took for Liz to move again, but instead of doing what the person asked her to do, she hung up the phone frantically, looking over at the front door just a couple steps in front of her. No. No. This is in her head. Just like with Victoria, she was hallucinating him. She wanted him there, so she saw him. Maybe in her subconscious, she wanted those random calls to be him, she manifested it in her mind. It wasn't actually him. It couldn't be.
ย ย Please come outside, Liz. His voice was so clear though. It was so clear and it sounded so real.
ย ย Slowly, Liz moved over to the door and looked out of the peephole. No one was there. She should have just walked away, but it was like her body was working automatically, as she reached out and turned the knob, opening the door. Walking out onto the porch, she looked around cautiously, as if expecting to see him standing there. But he wasn't. It was her head playing games with her. She is clearly so exhausted it was making her delusional.
ย ย Letting out a much needed heavy breath, Liz buried her face in her hands and laughed humorlessly to herself softly. "Damn, Liz, you need some sleep."
ย ย "Liz, wait."
ย ย She heard him once again before she could turn completely to head back inside, this time he was closer. She looked around, only to see him slowly walking around the house, revealing himself cautiously before he was finally in front of the porch, where Liz stood as still as a statue, not believing what she was seeing right now.
ย ย He can't be here. Jasper can't be here right now.
ย ย Liz immediately started shaking her head vigorously as he stepped closer to the porch. "No... no, no."
ย ย "Liz-" Jasper tried to speak, but Liz was still shaking her head, not believing this for a second.
ย ย "No! You aren't real, this is just my head playing mind games with me again."
ย ย Jasper stepped onto the porch, reaching out for her. His expression held nothing but anguish, fear and regret. So, so much regret. He stared right at her, his familiar golden eyes just as sharp and fierce as she remembers. "Liz, it's me. I'm real. I'm here. Please look at me."
ย ย Liz stared down at his outstretched hand, inviting her to touch him. Hesitantly, Liz reached out, her shaky hands grabbing his arm, squeezing him. The realization hit the Chambers girl hard like a brick to the lungs, a treacherous tear slid down her cheek as all the pent up anger she has held in since he left came out, resulting in Liz shoving him back with all her might, though it was a futile attempt.
ย ย "No!" She basically screams in face, shaking her head in disbelief. Jasper knew to keep his distance, shame overtaking him as it took all his strength not to rush to her. After another minute, Liz snapped her head to him, doing her best to hold herself together, but her voice cracked as she spoke. "I-It was you... those callsโ they were you this whole time?"
ย ย Jasper only nodded stiffly. "Yes."
ย ย Liz kept shaking her head in disbelief. "W-Why are you here? Why are you back?"
ย ย "Alice saw Bella jump off a cliff. She saw you jump in after but her vision went black, she didn't see what happened after... she thought... I thoughtโ" He paused, his eyes so wide and lace with terror. "What were you thinking jumping off that cliff? Do you know how dangerous that was? What if you hit your head and damaged your sight more? Did you ever think about that?"
ย ย Liz scoffed, furiously. "No, I thought Bella just jumped off a cliff and didn't surface and I knew I couldn't get help in time."
ย ย "How could you be so reckless?"
ย ย It was like setting a match to a firecracker as all the anger exploded from Liz, unable to stop herself long enough to think rationally of the consequence as she pulled back and swung, but was easily blocked by Jasper catching her fist. She tried to pull her hand back, but the vampire refused to let go, the two now closer than before, faces inches apart. "I know every part of you wants to hit me right now and if the result wouldn't end horribly for you, I'd let you."
ย ย Jasper finally released his grip on her and Liz grunted in frustration, stepping back. She was now pacing her porch, shaking her head in disbelief. "This can't be happening," Liz mutters to herself, before stopping and wrapping her arms around herself and looking up at him with so much pain and bitterness, but there was that part in her, the part that wanted to run into his arms and never let go. She shoved that part so far back, refusing to acknowledge it. "You came back to make sure I was alive?"
ย ย Jasper nodded numbly. "Yes."
ย ย Liz looked up at him, her heart aching and her mind spinning. "Are you disappointed?"
ย ย "Disappointed?" Jasper repeated, squinting his brows in confusion.
ย ย "Yeah. I'm sure things would be much simpler for you if I would have died, right? Probably wouldn't have even cared."
ย ย Liz didn't recognize the look that took over his face, it was a mix of so many different emotions all at once. Anger, sorrow, guilt, shame, regret- it was so much all at once. But Liz managed to stand her ground as Jasper took a dangerous step forward, staring down at her with so much intensity that it was becoming hard to breathe again.
ย ย "I need you to take back those words right now."
ย ย Liz was shocked by the fierceness in his tone, but did not back down, narrowing her gaze at him. "Why? It's the truth, isn't it? Weren't your exact words 'I don't want you anymore'?"
ย ย ย "I only said that so you would hate me, so you would let me go." Jasper confessed. He was so close again. Liz knew she should take a step back, but her legs were not working with her brain as her feet remained glued to the ground.
ย ย "Well, mission accomplished." Liz resorted, everything falling apart inside her, much like her will power. "And as you can clearly see, I am very much alive. So you can run away again."
ย ย Jasper didn't move, just stood where he was, only a few inches in front of her, staring at her with sad, longing eyes. Liz couldn't handle it anymore and finally stepped back. "No, Jasper, I mean it. I'm still not in the best place right now and I don't know if I'll ever be but you showing up here like this is seriously screwing with my head. I'm trying really hard to move on from you, but it has proven to be an impossible task and you being here only makes things worse."
ย ย "I should have never left in the first place." His words hit her with so much emotion, the strength she had broken and the tears she was holding back finally shed.
ย ย No. No, this can't happen. He has no right.
ย ย "You don't get to come back here like this and say stuff like that. I told you to never come back. I said if you left, I'd never forgive you." Liz reminded him of her words that day outside their firehouse.
ย ย Jasper flinched from her words, as if she was actually able to punch him, but with her words. He took another step forward. "Did you really mean it?"
ย ย No. Of course she didn't mean it. She took back those words immediately after she said them. She had chased after him. She had begged him to come back.
ย ย But he doesn't know this. This is not right. He doesn't deserve to know the truth. Not after what he has done. Not only did he break his promise, he broke her heart. She can't just suddenly forgive him for all the shit has dealt with these past six and a half months.
ย ย Her silence seemed to be all the answer he needed and Liz hated him for that. Hated that he knew her so well to know she didn't mean it. But she will never admit it out loud, nor would she just welcome him back with open arms.
ย ย "I really, really want to punch you in the face right now." Liz angrily whispers to him.
ย ย Jasper nods stiffly. "I know."
ย ย Not able to handle the proximity anymore, she stepped back once again and held up her hand. "Well, you've discovered I'm alive. Your conscience is clear. Now go away."
ย ย "No."
ย ย Liz raised her brow in disbelief. "No?"
ย ย ย "I'm not leaving until we talk." Jasper boldly declares.
ย ย Liz scowled furiously at the vampire. "We've been talking, Jasper and it's been really draining and emotional and depressing. Now, all I want is to go inside and punch a hole in the wall and imagine it's your face."
ย ย "I know I don't deserve it. I know that, Liz. You don't owe me anything. But I can't just leave again. Leaving that first time... I have endured many horrible things in my existence, but nothing was as torturous as walking away from you that day. I was barely able to do it then. If it wasn't for-"
ย ย The Chambers girl tried not to believe his words, but it was the way he cut himself off at the end, stopping himself from saying something he clearly didn't want to say. Liz tilted her head slightly. "If it wasn't for what?"
ย ย Jasper looked at her, like he was going to tell her something important, but was cut off when a phone started ringing. His phone. Reached into his pocket, answering it immediately once he saw who it was. "Alice?"
ย ย Alice? Is Alice here? Is she with Bella?
ย ย Liz watched as Jasper's face went from pain to panic in less than a second, his eyes widening in disbelief. "He's gonna do what?"
ย ย He had Liz's full attention now, immediately knowing something was seriously wrong by how panicked he sounded. She grew tense as she watched Jasper run a hand through his thick long curls, shaking his head. "I'm on my way."
ย ย He hung up and Liz was in front of him immediately. "What's wrong? What's happening?"
ย ย "Rosalie told Edward why Alice and I came back. He thinks Bella is dead."
ย ย Liz's eyes widened. "What?"
ย ย "The bastard wants to die too. He's on his way to Volterra to ask the Volturi to kill him."
ย ย Liz's head was spinning. "Wait, wait, wait- Edward is doing what? Why don't you call him? Tell him Bella's alive. That she's fucking stupid as hell, but alive."
ย ย "He won't believe us. He would only think we are saying whatever we can to convince him not to do this." Jasper explains. Liz was stunned, the last time she had seen him so panicked and frantic was after James and Victoria made Liz and Bella their targets. "Alice needs to get Bella to him. He needs to see her for himself."
ย ย Liz immediately knew what this meant and moved over towards him. "I'm coming with you."
ย ย "No!" Jasper shot down immediately. "No, it's too dangerous."
ย ย Liz raised her brow at him. "Uh, I wasn't asking for permission, buddy."
ย ย "Liz-" Jasper hissed, grabbing her arm. "If the Volturi find out about you-"
ย ย "That's why we're going, isn't it? To stop Edward before he does this."
ย ย "We might not make it in time."
ย ย ย "Then there is no reason for the Volturi to know we were there."
ย ย ย "They'll know." Jasper stated firmly. "I can't risk you."
ย ย ย "I make my own decisions. You wanna talk so badly? Fine. I'll hear you out. But only if you take me with you and after all of this is over. If you leave without me, don't bother coming back. And this time, I mean it."
ย ย Jasper listened to her steady heartbeat, hearing no lies in her words. So against his better judgment, he clenched his jaw and sighed. "Go pack a couple clothes. Quickly."
ย ย ย Liz didn't waste any time. As she went back into the house, a part of her feared Jasper would have left without her. But after throwing a couple clothes into her school bag she had emptied and did her best to rush down stairs despite her knee still bothering her, she was surprised to see Jasper standing on the porch. She immediately went to the medicine cabinet and grabbed her prescription before moving towards the whiteboard on the fridge where Ester wrote down the grocery list, wiping off whatever was on there and wrote down a quick note.
ย ย Something happened with the Cullen's. Had to leave to help. Please understand.
ย ย Once Jasper saw her, he still looked hesitant to bring her along anyway, but nodded reluctantly to her nonetheless. "We'll be fast if I run."
ย ย Liz tried not to let the emotion on her face show, and nodded in understanding. She kept her stone cold expression and went up behind Jasper, hopping on his back effortlessly, just like she used to do all the time. She tried to ignore the warm feeling in her chest as he held onto her thighs tightly, neither one acknowledging the fact that they have spent many times in this position, which were the happiest memories Liz has.
ย ย Knowing the urgency of this situation, Jasper didn't waste time taking off, and Liz once again tried to ignore the wonderful feeling she has always felt when it came to running with him. It was so graceful and against the girl's better judgment, she couldn't stop the corner of her lips from tugging upwards at the sensational feeling.
ย ย They were at Bella's house in a seconds, just in time to see Bella walking out of the house. But what surprised Liz was the fact that Jake was there, begging her not to leave. Alice was in Carlisle's car, having pulled it around and got out when she saw Jasper and Liz.
ย ย "Liz!" Alice said almost happily, as if wanting to run to her to hug her as soon as Jasper set the girl back onto her feet, but the pixie haired girl refrained from doing so when she saw the harsh look on the blonde's face.
ย ย "Alice," is all Liz says, trying to ignore the urge to hug her as well.
ย ย "Are you kidding me?" The sound of Jake's voice gains the blonde's attention, looking over to see both him and Bella standing outside the car, staring at both Liz and Jasper's sudden appearance in surprise. Jake was glaring hard at Jasper, before shaking his head. "No way. Liz, you are not going to. This is insane."
ย ย Jasper had taken Liz's bag from her and threw it in the trunk as Liz went to Bella's side, the brunette didn't seem surprised at seeing Jasper, most likely because Alice told her he was here but she was surprised seeing Liz here. "Liz, you don't have to come. You've already done so much for me."
ย ย The blonde raised her brow. "Oh really? Tell me something, if the situation was reversed, if I was in your shoes right now, what would you do?"
ย ย "Nothing would stop me from coming to help," Bella didn't hesitate to answer.
ย ย Liz reached out and took the brunette's hand. "We may have stopped talking, Bella, and I may think you are crazy and make dumb decisions but that doesn't mean I'll ever stop caring for you."
ย ย Bella jumped up and wrapped her arms tightly around the blonde, which Liz responded, holding the girl tightly. "Thank you. And, I'm so sorry for everything."
ย ย For what was said in Port Angeles. For approaching those sketchy biker dudes. For jumping off a cliff. Liz knew it was a sincere apology and pulled back. "I know. I'm sorry to."
ย ย "Bella, what about your dad?" Jake still tried to plead his case to keep her from going.
ย ย "I'm eighteen. I'm legally free to go and I left a note."
ย ย Jake turned towards the blonde as Bella walked around the car and got into the back seat opposite of her. Alice and Jasper were both waiting in the car. Liz opened the door and climbed in. "Liz, what about Ester and Danny? They will freak if they learn what you are doing."
ย ย "Like Bella said, I'm eighteen. I also left a note, though I have a feeling you will explain things further before they ever read it."
ย ย Liz closed the door at the same time as Bella, but Jake was leaning against the window, staring directly at Bella, reaching out for her. "Please, Bella, just stay here. For Charlie... or for me."
ย ย Both Alice and Jasper remained silent as Liz rolled her eyes in utter annoyance and second-hand embarrassment.
ย ย "I have to go." Bella told him.
ย ย Jacob pulled his arm back but did not move from the window. "I'm begging you. Please."
ย ย Liz groaned. "Jake, come on, this is just getting sad."
ย ย Jake sent her a harsh glare as Bella whispered. "Goodbye, Jacob."
ย ย Jake finally seemed to accept Bella's choice and pushed himself off the car. Liz couldn't help but feel bad for the guy, but it's not like he didn't know Bella was still in love with Edward. If she hadn't told him herself, then it was clearly obvious. But Alice looked back at the two who put on their seat belt before muttering 'okay' from that awkward moment and driving off.
ย ย Despite the fact that Liz had gotten slightly better on the main roads, it wasn't by much. So she dug through her bag and pulled out her anxiety medication, swallowing it dry and leaning her head back, closing her eyes to try to relax. She could feel Jasper staring intensely at her through the rearview mirror, but she purposely ignored him, trying to remain calm and collected on what was going to be an extremely long journey.

Guess who is back!!! I've missed Jasper so much, you have no idea, but our boy is on thin ice.
I have a love-hate relationship with this chapter, but I think it turned out pretty good in my opinion.
I can't believe I'm almost finished New Moon. My girl has been through it. Eclipse will definitely be different, things will start to look up for Liz. Emotionally, that is.
Hope everyone enjoyed! Next chapter will be interesting with the Volturi. Can't wait!
