โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ down theย steps, talking to two people when Aphrodite entered. Her eyes searched the place before she turned her head towards Evangeline and made her way down both flights of stairs. There was a man and woman, the woman had green hair that went right below her chin, she looked like she could kill you with a look. The man was buff, long dark hair that reached right past his shoulders. The two moved their eyes from Evangeline to look at Aphrodite.
"Winter, I'd like for you to meet John Proudstar, and Lorna Dane." Evangeline introduced. "John, Lorna, this is Aphrodite Rosenburgh, though she prefers to be called by her middle name, Winter."
"What's your powers, if you don't mind me asking." Lorna quizzed, her eyes running over the redhead who looked like she would be one of the bad guys instead of the good guys, though Lorna looked the same so she didn't judge.
"Chaos magic." Aphrodite answered. "I know you know of the X-Men, but if you've heard of The Avengers, then basically I have the same powers as Scarlet Witch. I can do mind warping or neuroelectronic interfacing, telekinesis, and energy manipulation." The two stared at her with slightly wide eyes before turning their heads to look at one another.
"Jesus." Lorna muttered. "So, basically you can kill us all with the flick of your wrist." John nudged the woman and she looked at him before shrugging her shoulders.
"I'm going to grab her stuff. Show her around." Evangeline said before excusing herself. Aphrodite looked around, walking away from the two before they could even say anything. She explored, knowing the two were keeping an eye on her. She found the rooms, finding an empty one and making her way into it. It wasn't too big, and it wasn't too small. Something big enough just for her.
"This your choice?" Aphrodite turned around at the sound of Lorna's voice. She nodded her head silently in response before turning away and examining the room. Lorna watched the woman, not sure of what all it had that she had been through, but she knew that in due time she would find out. The woman needed her space, and Lorna would give it to her. She turned on her heel and walked away, joining John as Evangeline came back in with her stuff. Lorna pointed the woman towards the room Aphrodite was in, watching her leave before sharing a look with John.
"Do we know anything of what happened to her?" Lorna asked. John shook his head.
"Evangeline knows of what happened, but she promised Aphrodite she wouldn't tell."
"Winter." Lorna corrected him.
"Right." He nodded his head. "Winter."
Aphrodite turned her head when Evangeline entered with her two boxed and guitar case. Aphrodite mustered a small smile before taking it from the woman and placing it on the bed. "Thank you." The redhead spoke. Evangeline nodded her head.
"I must go now. And you probably won't hear from me for a while. But these people will keep you safe." Evangeline assured her. Aphrodite nodded her head.
"Do they know?" Aphrodite asked, turning her head to face the woman.
"No. That's your personal information, you do with it what you want. But just know, they will help you. But you need to ask for it." Evangeline offered her one last smile before turning on her heel and walking out of the door. Aphrodite let out a soft sigh before going through all of her clothes, placing them in the set of drawers that were in the room. There were already sheets and pillows on the bed, allowing her to sit down as she pulled out the few pictures that Evangeline had grabbed from her home. She picked up one of the photos that held Damien, Artemis, and Aphrodite all laughing. Her eyes glossed over with tears as she remembered when they took this, and exactly what it was they were laughing about. And hand covered her mouth as the tears fell from her eyes, and the mostly silent cries fell from her lips.
She missed them both, she missed them both so much. She wished she could hug her daughter one last time, she wished she could give her husband a loving kiss and she told him goodbye before he left for work. It was her fault. She was the reason for what happened to her family. If she wouldn't have been born with such a powerful gift, one that not even Wanda Maximoff had been born with but instead was given it by experiments, then none of this wouldn't have happened. She was powerful, and she knew she was.
She rubbed her finger over the photo, her eyes looking down at her daughter before she whispered, "I will find you, I promise."
