━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄, her eyes narrowing in on the punching bag that was placed in front of her. Her hair was placed in a high ponytail, with a small braid inside of the ponytail. Her fists slammed against the bag, letting out her anger as she thought about the possible locations that her daughter could be. She ignored the set of eyes she could feel watching her as she continued to hit that punching bag until she spun around, kicking it so hard that it flew off the hinges. She let out deep breaths, pushing the loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"For someone who is so quiet, you're very angry." John Proudstar took a few steps forward so that he was standing in front of the woman, his arms crossed over his chest as he glanced at the punching bag.

"Well, I have a lot to be angry about." Aphrodite answered him, moving her eyes away from the now broken punching bag that was spewing sand on the floor. Her blue eyes met his dark ones and she looked away. "I'll get another one."

"Don't worry about it. We have more." He assured. She nodded her head and turned on her heel to walk away, stopping when he spoke again. "I know you don't trust us. But I need you to trust that we want to help you."

"It's not that I don't trust you."Aphrodite spoke. "It's not hard to earn my trust at all. I just. . ." Aphrodite paused, letting out a soft sigh. She had been there for half a week already, and all she had done was ignore the two as she got used to the facility around her. She did the same day every day. Get up, train herself, look for any possible place that her daughter could be. And she made sure to keep away from the only two that currently roamed the facility. She could tell that they had quickly grown to be good friends, and she didn't know if she was ready to become close with anybody again. Not yet.

She knew that they needed to know. That there was no way she would stay here, if they didn't know what it was that she was constantly doing say in and day out. She turned her head to look at John. "Look. . .  Before I was brought here, I wasn't like most mutants who are forced to run away from everything. I gained most control over my powers by the time I was fifteen, and have been working on it since." John watched the girl as she turned back around to face him, watching as she closed her eyes to keep the emotions away. "I kept my powers hidden, and I did it well. I found someone who knew about me, and who loved me for who I was. We got married, we even had a kid before said marriage. And then, they were taken from me. I was trying to protect them, but before I could react they put a desensitizer around my neck and shot me twice. They killed my husband right in front of me and my daughter. And then. . . then they took her away. And―︎and I just need to find her. I need to know if my child is still alive or not." She opened her eyes, revealing the gloss that covered them, although she wouldn't let the tears fall.

John looked at the woman, knowing that this would be the only time she would ever show any kind of weakness. He nodded his head in understanding. "We can help you find her."

Aphrodite shook her head. "No. This is my issue. I'll find her on my own." She turned on her heel and walked away towards the computers where she sat, scanning everything she could in order to find something that would pinpoint where exactly it was that her daughter was. And she had to force herself to look away from the screen, when her head started pounding. She got up and walked towards her room, stopping when Lorna called out to her.

"Hey, we found someone. Another mutant. We were going to meet up with him tomorrow. Do you want to come?" Lorna looked at the redhead, offering her a small smile. Aphrodite knew that Lorna knew about what had happened to her family, knowing the woman had been nearby when the conversation between herself and John took place. Aphrodite offered her the smallest of smiles.

"Uh, yeah, sure." Aphrodite nodded her head. Lorna nodded back, smiling gently at the girl. Aphrodite turned on her heel and walked away, entering her room and laying down as she patiently waited for the headache to fade away.
