I lay my head on my desk during Honors English. All of my classes are Honors, and I'm at the top in this class. No joke. But still, it's boring as hell. Since I've already finished my notes at home, I can just lie down. None of the teachers really care. So, I'll be fine. The bell rings, and I stand up to pack up. I slide my bright green English notebook into my book bag and sling it over my shoulder. I walk out and see Eloise and Olivia waiting for me. Wow, they must've run here.

"Hey, girl!" Olivia exclaims. She hugs me.

"Hey?" I respond, wondering why they met me outside of my English class. Eloise looks at Olivia.

"Well, let's head to lunch. Dexter is probably waiting," Eloise comments. Olivia and I both nod and we follow her down the hall. Once we reach the cafeteria, I can smell the stench of sweaty kids who came back from gym (and didn't shower.) I put my lunch box across from Dexter since I didn't want the school lunch. The last time I had school lunch, I got food poisoning. Not fun at all.

"Hey, Delilah!" Dexter says, cheery for once. I give him a confused look.

"Okay, I love you guys, but why are y'all so nice all of a sudden?" I question ask Eloise and Olivia return with their trays.

"We're always nice," Eloise responds, taking a bite out of her tuna salad sandwich. I smell it and immediately turn away.

"Lies," I reply. "Y'all want me to do something at the sleepover, I assume?" The three look at each other. Dexter nods. I roll my eyes and turn back to my food. I twirl my leftover pasta from the restaurant and eat it.

"Question, do you like anyone right now?" Olivia asks. I shake my head.

"Unless Walker counts, then no. He's a celebrity anyway," I explain. There's no way he's going to magically DM me and become friends with me. I'm not that delusional.

"Personally, I like Draco Malfoy," Eloise mentions. I slap her wrist.

"For the last time, he's ugly!" Dexter jokes. Eloise rolls her eyes.

"Hear me out," Olivia starts. I sigh jokingly and she glares at me. "Young Leonardo DiCaprio." Eloise and I look at each other and shrug.

"Eh, he's not as bad as Walker," Eloise starts. I pluck her and she winces.

"Walker is adorable, alright? He might never meet me, but I'll know him."

"You're such a delusional child," Olivia responds. I chuckle at my friends while I wash down my food with water.

I run in Dexter's house to beat Olivia. Whoever is last to get to the house from the playground has to crack an egg on their house. This was Dexter and Eloise's idea, and it's a horrible idea. Olivia comes in second while I watch Eloise catch up to Dexter. Dexter runs up to the door and tries to open it, but it is locked. Olivia and I high five each other as we watch Dexter bang on the door. He searches for the keys in his pocket and, unfortunately, gets in. We giggle as we see Eloise shake her head and walk up to the door.

"Get the eggs!" I call to Dexter, who dashes to the kitchen. "Let's go to the bathroom." Our day has been very eventful. First, we went to Target. We didn't expect to buy anything, but Olivia bought sunglasses and I bought sparkling cider. After, we had Dexter's mom drive us to the park near his house. She went back home while we hopped on the swings and played hide and seek. Now, we will watch as Eloise has an egg cracked on her head by Dexter. Not going to lie, I think Dexter likes Eloise a little. I think that they would be cute if they dated but also friendship problems could arise if they would break up.

"Ready?" Dexter questions, the egg in his head ready to go. Eloise closes her eyes, having to wash her hair in a few minutes.

"No, of course not," Eloise states. Olivia and I are recording the whole process. Dexter rolls his eyes as he cracks the egg on the counter. He holds the yolk on one side, and plops it in her hair. Eloise audibly gasps and throws the yolk at the birthday boy. Dexter and Eloise laugh, and I stop the video. Olivia and I give each other a knowing look.

An hour later, we are in pajamas and laying in our sleeping bags. We all have face masks on, and we are watching Shadow and Bone. I see that Olivia is falling asleep, so I notify Dexter by telling him we have to do something else.

"Guys, let's play truth or dare," Dexter says. I glare at him. So this is what they were trying to get me to play.

"Why not?" Olivia replies, perking up. She gives me puppy eyes, begging me to agree.

"Listen, if you agree, we can try to get Eloise and Dexter to confess to each other," Olivia whispers in my ear. I huff and agree to play the game. I sip my cup of sparkling cider and look over to Eloise.

"Okay, truth or dare, Eloise?" Olivia starts.

"Truth," Eloise replies. Olivia pretends to think, already having the question ready in her head.

"Okay, do you, uhm, like anyone?" Olivia asks. I smack her wrist for stuttering. Eloise ponders on the question asked.

"Nah, unless celebrities count," Eloise answers, picking at her nails. Dexter looks up from his phone.

"Okay, my turn. Dexter, truth or dare?" Eloise asks. Dexter thinks for a moment.

"Eh, dare."

"I dare you to do 10 push ups," Eloise responds. Dexter laughs and gets into the position. We count aloud as he pushes down and comes up.

"8, 9, andddd 10. Okay, now Delilah. Truth or dare?" Dexter questions as he lays on his stomach. I'm feeling bold, so I'll choose dare. It won't hurt, right? Plus, I don't have any crush at school, so it will be boring if I did truth anyway.

"Dare." The three look at each other, at my phone, and back at each other. I give them a confused look, and Olivia smirks.

"I dare you to DM Walker Scobell," Olivia announces. I freeze. Oh no. Yeah, he's really fine, but I don't want to DM him. It's so embarrassing if he doesn't answer. Plus, if he does respond, I'll throw myself off a cliff.

"No, no no no no no. Big no," I say. Eloise plucks my arm, and I flinch.

"If you don't, then I'll text him telling him that my best friend is in love with him," Eloise threatens. I sigh, throw a pillow at Eloise, and open Instagram. My profile pops up, and I go to messages. I look up Walker Scobell's name, and he pops up. I click on him and our empty chats pop up. Dexter, Olivia, and Eloise surround me as I try to think what to say. I type and delete 5 times until I find the perfect text.
