"OKAY MATT YOU'RE on light duty." ian said as he went down the list of names and roles.

"got it." the brown haired boy said heading out to go collect the lights from the tour van.

"cirán, music duty. dom, joba, and merlyn food duty..." ian reads off more of the list as the group break off and go to get stuff together.

"nick get y/n's outfit together and try to get her to put it on but be secretive about it, and the rest of you are on setup duty. make sure it looks good. me and romil are gonna go keep the two apart and distracted. alright let's get a move on!" ian shouts as the remaining of the group splits.

ian goes to look for jon as romil goes with nick to get y/n. it was jon and y/n's anniversary, and due to jon being in brockhampton and y/n being stage design and set up they were both on tour with the boys being busy with tour stuff. they had planned to watch a movie in celebration of them being in a relationship for a year now. the boys felt bad that they would be spending their first year anniversary cramped up in a tour bus trying to enjoy themselves whilst other people surrounded them.

therfore, the boys decided that throwing them a little celebration was the least they could do. they had set up a night for the pair to enjoy themselves. on the roof of the venue was where the boys would set up a nice dinner scenery for the couple to enjoy. as matt was stringing lights from poles while boys decorated on the roof, and as bearface was strumming his guitar trying to come up with a song, nick was making is way to y/n's break room. kevin and romil close behind him.

nick knocked on the door and y/n opened it. to no ones surprise jon was inside sprawled our on the couch an kevin sent nick and romil a quick nod before they moved their plan into action.

"heyyy jon! can you help me listen over a few tracks real quick?" romil said with a smile.

"yea i want you to hear them before we even think about getting them out." kevin added.

"yea sure." jon said standing and pulling y/n's hand along with him before nick stopped him with a hand on y/n's shoulder.

"actually...i need you to try on a few things y/n. i'll return her in a few." nick said pulling y/n close to him with and arm around her shoulders.

"oh um yea of course. catch up with you later baby." y/n said leaning to give jon a quick peck before the pair were separated.

kevin and romil lead jon towards their break room, sneaking past hk and kiko who were trying to get by carrying a very suspiciously large ladder. nick went through countless oufits with y/n taking a mental note of which one she likes the most.

the soft pink one that had puffed up sleeves and a frilly bottom that she claimed "made her feel like a princess" was the one nick made sure to sneak off to the side.

"you're gonna hate me but i have to run! i have to pick up more fabric before the store closes. thanks for being the best and trying all of these on." nick said quickly as he put all the other dresses, along with y/n's clothes she was previously wearing in a bag.

he then pecked her on the cheek and made his way to the door.

"bye hun! and of course anytime." y/n said with a sweet smile as she spun around and looked at her self in the dress through the mirror.

y/n sighed softly before sighing and running a hand through her hair. she was quite upset she didn't get to spend some time with her boyfriend where it was just them but she didn't want to seem like she was complaining about it so she let it bother her all day. as she went to turn around find her clothes she realized they were no longer hanging off the arm of the chair. she walked outside to find nick but he was nowhere to be seen.

he must've left already and the dress shop wasn't far so he probably got hk to drive him in the van. she sighed as she made her way to the boys room but was stopped by matt.

"hey hey my little ladybug!" the boy chirps brightly.

"wha- um anyways matt have you seen nick? did he leave yet?" the girl asks quickly.

"nope haven't seen him. but have you tried out the bars shirley temples? they're really good." matt said.

the boy didn't know if they were any good but he knew nick was currently in the boys room making jon try on an outfit.

"matt i'm serious. i need my clothes." y/n says with a slight chuckle moving past the boy.

"she's on a move!" matt whisper yells into his phone that was still going with a call with joba.

"i'm on it!" the boy yells before hanging up.

y/n is about to reach the door when joba comes running towards her.

"incoming!" joba yells as he picks the girl up and carries her down the hallway.

"put me down!!" y/n yells as joba carries her towards the steps of the roof.

"did you guys hear something?" jon asks curiously as he steps out of the break room with nick, kevin, and romil.

"nope." all the boys say at once.

"i-" jon starts but is cut off by kevin.

"i think the dudes are on the roof. let's go." kevin says and the boys began making their way up there.

y/n stands on the steps as joba places her down and she's about to yell at him but stops when the sound of kevin, romil, nick, and jon's footsteps.

"woah y/n...you look beautiful." jon says with a soft smile and y/n flushes quickly before saying a soft 'thank you'.

"wait wait what's going on? nick do you have my clothes?" y/n asks in a confused tone.

"i think we should go on roof." romil says softly.

"wait no. explain what's going on." y/n says.

"yea you guys are acting pretty weird. what's up?" jon says agreeing with his girlfriend.

"i think we should go on the roof. honestly." kevin says giving a bit of a push towards the girl and the boy.

"wait i-" jon starts but can't finish because joba rolls his eyes and pushes the roof door open.

the brockhampton boys stand in the middle of the roof terrace. lights hang from poles and they twinkle lightly due to the sun beginning to set. there's a table set up with a rose in the middle and two plates on the side.

"you guys...this is beautiful!" y/n shouts and hugs whoever she can.

"you guys didn't have too!" jon says grabbing onto
y/n by the waist.

"we didn't want you to spend your anniversary in the back of the van all swampier up. so we did a lil something." dom says with a grin.

"you guys are the absolute best." y/n says blowing kisses to those around her.

"now enjoy you're meal! we out!" merlyn says before skipping down the steps leaving the pair.

"oh also sorry i took your clothes! i'll leave them in you're break room. don't you kids don't anything i wouldn't do." nick says with a wink before laughing to himself as he walks down the steps.

"this is the best." y/n says softly taking in the setting.

"it is. and i'm here with the best person. happy anniversary babe." jon says leaning over to kiss the girl.

"happy anniversary baby." the girl says back softly allowing their noses to rest upon each other.
