I stepped into the penthouse, my heels clicking on the marble floor. The eerie silence contrasted with the previous night's revelry. Rajiv's lifeless body lay in the study, a grim reminder of reality.
Aarav Rathore, the inspector, greeted me with a somber expression. "Avani Khurana." His eyes, red-rimmed from lack of sleep, held a hint of determination. Aarav hesitated, collecting his thoughts. " We don't know not much, yet. No signs of forced entry or struggle. It seems the killer was someone Rajiv Gupta trusted."
My mind reeled with implications. Rajiv's business partners? Enemies?Or someone closer?
As we spoke, I noticed a blue file that kept separate from other files on Rajiv's desk. I took the file in my hands. It is a file showing Rajiv donating his all properties and money to orphanages. "What.? I wasn't aware of this. He should have told me if he's taking a decision like this." I couldn't shake off the feeling that I was missing something.
As Rajiv's family lawyer, I knew his business dealings, all his transactions. But he didn't told me about this big decision. But who would benefit from his death? His enemies, the chances are more but the chances for someone he know are high too.

Avani Khurana stepped out of her sleek, black sedan and onto the rain-drenched streets of Mumbai's financial district. Her sharp, brown eyes scanned the crowded sidewalks, her mind already racing with the day's challenges.
As a top-notch lawyer, Avani had built a reputation for her unyielding determination and razor-sharp instincts. Her middle-class upbringing had taught her the value of hard work and resilience.
Avani's phone buzzed with an urgent text from her colleague, Rohan:
"Meet me at the office ASAP. Rajiv Gupta's family needs us."
Avani's heart sank. Rajiv, a respected businessman and friend, had been found dead last night. His family would need guidance navigating the legal storm ahead.
Upon arriving at the office, Avni found Rohan pacing outside the conference room."What's the situation?" Avani asked, her voice firm.
"Rajiv's wife, Priya, is frantic," Rohan replied. "The police are stumped, and the family wants us to ensure justice is served." Avani nodded resolutely. "Let's get to work."
Inside the conference room, Priya Gupta's red-rimmed eyes met Avani's.
"Please, Avani, find out who did this," Priya implored, her voice trembling.
Avani's expression softened. "I'll do everything in my power, Priya. We'll get through this together." As Avani began discussing the case with Rohan, a sudden, unsettling feeling crept over her.
Little did she know, this murder would unravel secrets, test her resolve, and lead her down a treacherous path - one that would bring her face-to-face with the enigmatic Siddharth Singhania.
