Part 1 [Wake up Sunshine]

He looked at her longingly. Pearls of tears shining in the corner of his eyes as he saw her laying on the hospital bed.

Sun peeked through the curtains as he bend towards her head and pecked her forehead caressing it.

"Sunshine get up, its time to wakey wakey" he tried to take out chirpy voice but failed miserably. He gently shook her repeating his words again.

She shifted in her sleep mumbling "5 minutes more dada".

"Five minutes more, hnmm" he said and laughed mischievously.

"Oh! It looks like father monster should tickie tickie you, hnm" he tickled her waking her up from her sleep.

"Dada, no" she whined and soon their chuckles resonated in the room. As they continued to laugh together.

Sun brightly smiled seeing the wonderful bond of the father and the daughter making the flowers bloom.

"Dada, how many days are left for me to become a star" she brightly smiled not knowing the meaning of the words and hurting her dad unintentionally.

"It seems like you are bored playing with your father. Huh, i don't want to talk you" he huffed his cheeks as frowned covered his face.

"Don't worry daddy, look i will play with you. C'mon lets play with Mr. Teddy and Mrs. Doll. Don't forget today is their wedding" she said kissing both the cheeks of her dada. And ordered him to play with her as she get down from the bed, showing her index finger to him.

He smiled as they both cheered "Let's play"

Part 2 [Fireworks]

"No dada, you should colour the sky blue. Dada you don't know anything, come let me teach you" she facepalmed herself as she ordered her dada to colour the sky blue.

Alarm clock rang making her head lift up in the lightning speed.

"Its time to go zoo" she yelled enthusiastically.

She jumped up and down as he helped her to wear her fancy ruffle top.

He smiled looking at his child. He fall back into the memory lane as he remembered how he found her on his door, the next day of his internship. He didn't knew she will become his Angel. He smiled as he remembered when he signed for her adoptions. He is the happiest man when he is with her.

He combed her hairs and put a hair band around her hairs. Comb kept between his lips as he continued to tie her hairs with concentration.

"Finally" he sighed as he put the rubber band around her hair third time.

"C'mon lets go" they cheered going towards their destination. As he picked up her taking her in his arms.

He crossed the hospital wards trying to not show his displeasure towards hospital.

They went inside the zoo taking two tickets and balloon as she insisted.

"Dada, bend down" she ordered as a chuckle escaped his mouth on his princess's order.

She went behind him tying one of her balloon with the button of his jacket.

"I tied this as because, you are very naughty kid, you don't listen to me and sometimes you are so handful and hard to handle. So whenever i will left you in the crowd, i will easily be able to find you with the help of this balloon" she explained her theory keeping her hands on her waist as she narrowed her eyes on him.

He looked at her in amusement.

"So, you should also tie this as i will able to catch you if you left me in this crowd" he said showing his displeasure towards the crowd.

"Oh! Silly dada, come let me hold your hand" she said giving her hand to him.

Holding each others hand they went towards their destiny.

She jumped on her feets as she saw different kinds of animals.

After roaming around the animals and feeding them. They decided to have their lunch.

After having their lunch they decided to join the little fair around city.

"Cotton candy" she said pointing towards the vendor.

He bought her cotton candy. And they went inside seeing the fireworks in amusement.

"Woah" she got surprised by the fireworks as she saw different colours lighting the dark blue sky.

Earth comes to life when she smiles. A thought captured his mind as he saw her smiling watching the fireworks.

He saw the colours reflecting in her eyes. As she smiled more watching the fireworks.

"Dada, lets go!" She said dragging him inside with her.

They went inside and she dragged him towards the playing booth.

"I want that teddy and that blue train" she said or more like commanded him as he picked up the toy gun and pointed towards the toys.

After spending some more time they went towards the ferris wheel.

They allowed her as because she was with an adult.

She watched the fireworks from the glass window as the passeneger car started moving.

"Dada, do you know why i want to become a star. Because i want to see you from the sky" she said still looking at the fireworks.

"Hmm" he just hummed looking at her.

"Tell me how many days are left" she asked looking at him.

He forced himself to look other side as the tears threaten fall down.

"Dada" she whined looking at him.

"You still have more time. Now lets go back, you will have your meal and medicine then we will sleep" he said diverting the topic.

"Crystal clear boss" she said saluting him with two fingers.

"From where do you learn these things. I don't remember you teaching that" he said frowning.

"Tch, technology dada technology. Oh, you don't know anything. I wonder how you became a doctor" she said raising her one eye brow perfectly crossing her little on her chest.

"Oh! So you are challenging me. Come here, you little naughty girl, come to me" he said standing up.

As she ran out of the passenger car when it stopped.

She giggled running in between the crowd.

She hide herself behind a small cart when she saw him coming towards her.

She again turned her head to not to get caught.

She turned her head to see where he is now but frowned when found no one.

"Peekaboo" he said startling her from behind.

"Katti, you scared me" she said turning her back towards him.

"Oh c'mon now laugh" he said picking her up in his arms as he threw her up and catched her. He repeated the pattern and she laughed loudly.

People around them smiled and blessed them watching their beautiful father-daughter bond.

He twirled her in air and she laughed freely.

They retired back to their destination covering the small journey with the passing wind and laughter filling their ride.

Part 3 [Get a sleep]

"Ughh! Nooo" she whined turning her head the other side he pushed the spoon of medicine towards her mouth.

"No you should take it, you know its better for yourself" he said turning his voice a little stern so that she listen to her.

But she again turned her head pushing his hand away slightly and covered her mouth with another hand.

"Alayana, be a good girl" he said in a stern voice.

Her shoulders slumped back as she listened his voice getting the warning that there is no going back now.

"Okay" she said opening her mouth little.

"Such a naughty girl you are, to eat Gol gappe you can open your mouth as much as you can but for medicine you are opening like you are about to apply lipstick" he said making her eat the medicine.

She made faces as the taste of bitter medicine covered the area of her mouth.

"Be a good girl and now sleep. Or no more Gol gappe" he threatened her and soon she closed her eyes tightly.

He caressed her head to make her fall sleep faster.

He sighed as he saw her breathing evenly knowing that she went into a deep slumber under the effect of medicine.

He got up from the seat and went out of the room not before making sure to lock the doors and windows and picking up her files.

He went towars the doctors cabin and knocked on it.

"Please come in"

"Here is the files, is there any progress?"

"Yes, i am very happy to tell you that there is a progress in her health but still we can't say anything. I just want you to get prepare for any consequences.

Because no one can predict the future. But i will still advise to go for operation. Its a good choice" doctor said clearing his table from the files of patients as he stood up and explained him his point.

"Alhamdulillah the medicine is working that means it will take time but she will be fine. InshaAllah.
And for the latter part, i can't risk her life by allowing the operation and she is too weak for the operation and small too" he said keeping his point infron of him.

"I understand Mr. Alam you are concerned for your daughter. Just believe in Him its upon Him. If He wills then everything is gonna be fine" doctor said patting his shoulder.

"Okay, then i would like to take my leave as my wife ordered me too bring this leafy thing, what it is called ahh some thing like dhoni" doctor said as the worried lined cover his forehead.

"Dhania, its called dhania" he smiled looking at the bald man infront of him.

"Wow! How can you remember that, i wonder how females do this and remember everything's names" doctor said moving out of the room.

"Its not about female or male, its just that we kind of get a habbit of that" he said following him out of the hospital.

Doctor smiled looking at the young man infront of him and said

"Best of luck for your future ahead" and moved towards his car.

He stood there watching the car going past him racing on the road.

He went inside the room and frowned seeing her coming out of the washroom.

"What were you doing there" he asked.

"Dada, are you fine?" She asked.

"Yes, i am. Why?" He replied.

"Because no one in his senses ask someone 'what were you doing there' specially from the washroom" she tried her best to explain him her point.

"From this mouth of yours it doesn't look like you are just 6"

"Neither i said i am" she deadpanned.

"I will tell you in the morning. You just get a sleep for now" he said as he sensed that she is being grumpy from the effects of medicine.

"Hmm" she just hummed as she jumped on the bed and laying down on the bed under the sheets.

"Dada, won't you sleep" she asked.

"Yes, i will after sometime, i have some-" she cut him off in the middle of his sentence.

"You are sleeping and that's final"

"Okay, but next time you won't stop someone from completing their talk" he said in a little strict voice.

He knows he has to be kind with her but he is the parent and he also knows when to correct his child. He wants his child to be a good pesron.

"Yeah, okay Maharaj, jese apki icchah" she said bowing her head a little.

He shooked his head at her antics and both settled themselves on their respective places.

He adjusts the cushion behind his head as he settles himself on the couch.

And both drifted into deep slumber as the night get darker.

Part 4 [You are late]

"Okay, so as you know i have work today. So you will be good girl and will listen to the nanny" he said parting her hairs equally and and braiding them down.

"Is it important for you to go, you have so many workers under you just send one of them" she whined clearly telling him she didn't want him go.

"Bacha, its important" he said giving a final touch to his work art and stepped back as he completed his work.

"Okay" she said and bowed down her head to show him her sadness.

But he was clever than her. He made himself stronger and clearly denied his heart to not to fall in her trap.

"Okay, so i have arranged your every toy and your coloring book after coming back from school and resting you can play" he said as he adjusts her bow tie.

"Mhm" she hummed with a small nod.

They both made thier joyrney towards their destination.

As the time passed, soon he realised that it was time to pick her up from school.

He sent the driver to pick her up. She returned back with a sore mood as she didn't saw her father.

She had her meal and medicines without protesting. Her nurse was also surprised by her behaviour she tried to talk to her but the little girl ignored her infront of her sleep.

She slept for almost 4 hours.

She got up feeling totally new. Her hair all messed up. She blinked her eyes twice thrice to adjust the brightness.

Her gaze went to the wall clock and soon the whole ward heard the ear piercing voice. They closed their ears.

Nurse came running in her room for what's the fuss about but frowned on seeing her seating finely on the bed.

"What happened?" She asked in a small voice and sat beside her.

"I missed the beginning of Bhoothnath" she said as her lips formed pout.

Nurse facepalmed herself mentally.

"You can watch it now. It hasn't ended yet. Let me just switch on the T.V." she said in soft voice and switched on the T.V. for her.

They both watched the film together and had meal. This time also she didn't created a fuss on having a meal and medicine.

It was past 11 and she was not ready to sleep. As her father was not there. Nurse tried to make her sleep but Alayana was still not ready to sleep.

Door opened revealing her father and she jumped into his arms.

He sent the nurse out and asked her
"Why were you annoying her. I told you to behave. Are you not good girl" he said in scolding tone.

He sighed as he saw shining pearls in her eye. Like father like daughter.

"Okay, its fine lets sleep" he moved towards bed and patted her head so that she can sleep.

As he heard soft snores from her he pecked her head and freshed up and slept beside her taking her in his arms as he missed her so much. He can't afford to stay away from her.

Part 5 [ Yes, you are a star]

He woke up sensing the uneasiness and saw his daughter breathing heavily on her bed.

IV was attached in her hand and her half face was covered with a mask.

"Doctor doctor" he yelled like a mad man.

His gaze went towards her again and this time he saw the pain and sweat beads on her head.

"Doctor doctor" he again yelled frantically waking up the whole ward.

Doctors and nurses rushed inside the room. And the nurse pushed him out saying "sir, please pray for daughter".

He sat on the bench holding his head in his hands. His bloodshot eyes telling his story of pain.

"Mr. Alam i am very sorry to tell you this. We need to operate her soon. Her condition is worsening. Please sign on the papers. And let us do our work" Doctor said coming out of the room.

Not having any other choice he left everything on his God.

He signed the paper's with a heavy heart and soon the operation was started.

He sat there waiting for the best.

[20] Twenty years later

'Tup - tup - tup - tup' foots walk in sync as he entered the ward.

Tapping the pen on the board he said
"Your wife is alright now to go home but next time i suggest you to please pay attention on her diets. I have already given the details of medicine and diets. Now i will take my leave" he gave an assuring nod to the couple and moved out.

He was walking out from the ward when he heard something

"Yeah, i also heard he has a daughter, but nowadays he lives with his wife and two twin sons" a nurse said arranging the medical papers.

"No, he had daughter-" before she can complete her sentence she was interrupted by the shadow of some one.

That someone was none other than him. Mr.Alam.

"We have not hired you all to gossip around, i kindly advice you both to pay attention on your own work rather than discussing someone's past" he said in his oh-not-so-kind-manner.

"Sorry Dr. Alam" they said and scurried away from there.

He sighed and moved into his cabin.

He opened his drawer just to find an album full of pictures of her's.

He caressed her all the pictures and whispered "only if you were here".

He completed his work and went to his house where his wife and his twin sons in their last teenage years waited for him to tell him about their day.

He smiled thinking about her. He got a new family but no one can take her place. She has always being in his heart. Will be.

He parked his car in the drive way and moved out just to go inside and was welcomed by darkness. He panicked seeing darkness. Before he can say something he heard a loud voices of singing Happy birthday.

He smiled as he saw his family celebrating his birthday.

"Come dad lets cut the cake" sameer and sahir said in sync and glared each other for copying each other. Typical siblings goals.

He feeded the first bite to his wife while the boys hooted.

And had their dinner together.

His wife twitched her nose and said "Alam i am tired of their mischievousness. This they created a big blunder" she said as she glared the twins

He cleared his throat and said.

"Sahir i warned you last time last month. Were you the one who entered the mall with his bike. What if someone has happened to you. Huh. Does you care about even anything" he started sweetly but ended up scolding him.

Sameer snickered under his breath. And sahir glared him.

"I swear dad that mall came in my way, i didn't entered" he gave his lame excuse.

Alam frowned on hearing his lame excuse.

Before Sahir can say anything else his mother twisted his ears making him yell like a mad man.

"Sorry sorry" he ranted and all laughed on him.

They all moved to their respective rooms after having their family time. He was blessed with an amazing family by the grace of God.

Alam's phone ringed making him frown he picked up and all he heard was a female saying
"Open national news channel" and the line went dead.

He took the remote and did what he was told to.

His happiness knew no bound seeing his daughter on the T.V.

"According to her new project. It is said that Miss Alayana's next project will be done in India. Is it the way of saying she is coming back. To know more please be with us on this channel" media

He sighed as they took break.

He heard the doorbell and rushed out to see who it is in the midnight.

He opened the door and the guest hugged him tightly.

Sahir and Sameer came yelling
"Alyana di" and detached their father from her.

And hugged the life out of her.

She met everyone. She saw her father gazing the shining stars in the sky.

She leaned on his shoulder and asked him

"Did i became a star"

"Yes, you did became a star, My Brightest star"

He said and pecked her head.
