We walked for a couple of hours through beautiful snowy places, then we stopped so Mr Beaver could explain where we were headed.
"Now, Alan's camp is near the stone table just across the river."
As he pointed to the big block of ice.
"River?"
"Oh, the river's been frozen solid for a hundred years."
Mrs Beaver said very casually.
"It's so far."
Peter said, looking across the river.
"It's the world you guys, did you expect it to be small?"
I asked rhetorically.
"Smaller."
Susan replied cheekily and we burst out laughing.
We started to walk across the enormous river.
"Come on humans! While we're still young."
Peter turned to me and said.
"If he tells us to hurry one more time, I'm gonna turn him into a big, fluffy hat."
And he lifted Lucy onto his back.
"Hurry up! Come on!"
We heard Mr Beaver shout again.
"I suppose he is getting a little bossy."
I said.
"No! Behind you, it's her!"
And we turned around to see reindeer. I looked closely and saw that the reindeer weren't white like the white witches so I stopped running.
"Run! Y/n, Why'd you stop running?!"
Mrs Beaver shouted at me
"It's not her."
I shouted back.
"Who is it then?"
The Beavers asked.
"That's a secret."
But still, no one stopped running. I rolled my eyes, do they really not trust me?
I ran towards the sleigh,
"Hello!"
I said to the owner of the sleigh.
"Oh goodness! Y/n, what a pleasure it is to see you."
"It's delightful to see you to, father Christmas!"
We hugged.
"Well, do you know why the others are running away?"
He asked me.
"They think you're the white witch."
I told him.
"Well then, hop on the sleigh and we'll catch up to them!"
And I jumped on the back of his majestic sleigh.
We came to a halt at a forest and I got off, I heard heavy breathing from running under a ledge so I got down and crawled over to that place. Father Christmas walked over to see what I was doing, casting a shadow over the edge but I shushed him politely and he walked back. After a couple of seconds I could hear them whispering, wondering if the person's gone and at that moment I peeked from the ledge.
"BOO!"
And they screamed, it was absolutely hilarious.
"Come out! I hope you've all been good this year, because there's someone here to see you!"
And I got up to turn to face Father Christmas. The others got up and gasped.
"Merry Christmas, sir!"
Lucy was the first one to speak.
"It most certainly is Lucy, since you've all arrived."
"Look, I've put up with a lot since I got here, but this-"
Susan began to speak but Peter interrupted her.
"We thought you were the white witch."
"Yes, yes, y/n told me. I'm sorry about that, but in my defense, I've been driving a sleigh for much longer than her.''
He smiled.
"I thought there was no Christmas in Narnia."
Susan wondered.
"No, there hasn't been one for a long time. But the hope you've brought, your majesties, is finally starting to weaken the witch's power."
I beamed with happiness.
"Still, I dare say you could do with these."
Father Christmas said as he lifted up a gigantic sack.
"Presents!"
Lucy shouted happily and walked forward. Father Christmas lifted up a sack with cordial.
"The juice of the fire-flower, one drop will cure any injury. Though I hope you never have to use it."
He then handed her a small dagger.
"Thank you very much, sir but I think I could be brave enough.''
"I'm sure you could Lu."
I spoke, encouraging her and she smiled at me.
"Battles are ugly affairs."
Father Christmas said to her.
He then lifted up a bow and a quiver with arrows.
"Susan,"
He called her over.
"Trust in this bow and it will not easily miss."
She took it and looked at it in awe.
"What happened to 'battles are ugly affairs?"
Father Christmas chuckled.
"Though you don't seem to have a problem making yourself heard,"
and he handed her a horn.
"Blow on this and wherever you are, help will come."
"Thanks."
And Susan stepped back.
"Peter,"
Father Christmas called him over but handed me his gifts to give to him.
"The time to use these maybe near at hand."
And I handed him a majestic sword and shield, he unsheathed the sword carefully.
"Thank you, sir, and Y/n"
Peter said looking at me, we both smiled at eachother.
"Remember, these are tools, not toys. Bear them well and wisely."
Father Christmas told him.
"And finally, Y/n. I give you a bow and arrows and a small dagger. Use these very wisely and be careful."
And he handed me my gifts, I stared at them in amazment.
"But now, I must be off. Winter is almost over and, things do pile up when you've been gone for 100 years!"
He said while putting his sack of presents in the Sleigh. He then stopped abruptly.
"Long live Aslan!"
And he got on his sleigh.
"And Merry Christmas!"
"Merry Christmas, sir!"
We all shouted and he rode of into the distance.
Lucy turned around.
"Told you he was real."
She said cheekily to the others.
"He said winter was almost over,"
Peter spoke suddenly.
"You know what that means."
I gasped
"No more ice!"
