A whole day had gone by, and for a while, it felt like a lot had occurred. Meeting Park Jeongsong, the man her cousin and many others in Korea had been talking about.

Now, as the day was almost ending, the sun bid its farewell, leaving behind a mix of purple hues and golden tones in the sky.

Before long, even that aesthetically pleasing sky darkened, and night veiled Seoul.

"I can finally call it a day," she said, stretching a bit after hours of sitting.

Leaning back on her chair, she rested her head on the headrest, closing her otherwise heavy eyelids for a few seconds to let them relax.

After a moment, she opened her eyes, straightened up, and began collecting her things, arranging her table and discarding unnecessary papers into the bin. Having finished all the reports for the day, she anticipated a quiet evening at home.

However, her plans took an unexpected turn as the doorbell rang. She was weirded out since she wasn't expecting any guests, and her mom was busy working. Sighing deeply and rolling her eyes, she got up to open the door.

"What are you doing here..."

"Why hello to you too, sister." He attempted a hug, but she shoved him away.

"I didn't come here for you, okay? I just need a place to spend the night."

"Why? Are you meeting up with your new internet girlfriend?"

His face flushed at the memory of an embarrassing incident at 13 years old, and Sora couldn't help but laugh.

Waiting for an answer, she realized he was probably going to a K-pop concert. Seunghan smiled, acknowledging that his sister knew him too well.

"I got barricade tickets for Ive for a cheap price. That's what you call an investment. But it wasn't for free; I had to sell my Wonyoung broadcast pc. Jaehyun doesn't even want to introduce me to them."

"Yeah, because you'll freak the poor girls out."

"Why are you always so mean to me? I swear you don't live up to the title of a therapist."

Uninterested, she looked at her empty fridge. "I'm going to the grocery store. Wait here."

Her brother followed behind. While walking, he suddenly stopped her.

"Sora, can you, um, take me here? I want to meet up with Dives before the concert. I don't know Seoul, so I can get lost, and if I get lost, Mom will get angry at you, and you'll get in trouble. Who knows, maybe she'll marry you off to that ugly single man in our village, and you'll become a housewife, and..." He said that in one breath to ensure his sister would take him.

"Just shut up. I'll take you there." Rolling her eyes, she led the way to the K-pop cafe.

They reached the place surprisingly fast, and it wasn't too crowded. Sora and her brother engaged in their usual bickering over trivial matters.

Unbeknownst to her, there was a guy across the road behind tinted car doors, eyeing her. He had just returned from a broadcast radio interview, his mood already sour, and it got worse when he saw Sora with a guy.

"Is it her boyfriend?... It'll be weird if a woman like her was single," he mused, watching her from a distance.

She seemed both close and far, and he didn't have any lingering attachment to her. Frankly, he didn't like his first impression of her; she appeared arrogant in his eyes.

As Sora looked ahead and noticed a man in a black car watching her, the traffic light turned green, and Jay sped up.

After finishing her grocery shopping, she took the bus home, giving her brother some pocket money along the way. When she arrived, she settled on the couch with her journal, a mug of coffee, and a plate of buttered garlic chicken on the coffee table.

As she wrote in her journal, she couldn't help but feel pity for the guy. His consistency with negativity and his association of freedom with death disturbed her.

Having seen what the industry did to her friends, she found it unpleasant. It became her challenge to crack his core.
