𝙶𝚘𝚑'𝚜 𝙿𝙾𝚅:

I was really worried for Dawn once her and Chloe arrived home. The blue haired girl looked like she had been crying, and so did her girlfriend.
I ran up to them and looked at them with concern.
"Are you two okay?" I asked.
"I got beaten up by my old bully in the changing rooms after rehearsal!" Dawn sobbed, showing me her bruises.
The bruises were unbelievable and I had to look away because they made me feel uncomfortable.
Chloe walked past me and got the first aid kit before rummaging through all of the contents and finding what she needed to help her girlfriend.
While I was watching, I then suddenly heard the door open and Ash come through. Because of a natural instinct inside of me, I ran over to hug him.
He hugged me back, but I could tell he was more focused on Dawn's bruises then on me, which was understandable.
Dawn walked over to her bedroom while gripping her arm and Chloe jogged after her. Once the door was shut, me and Ash decided to plan what we could maybe do to help.
"So, what should we do to help them?" I asked Ash as we sat down on the couch together.
"Well, I have work tomorrow so I can't really do anything with them anyway!" My boyfriend replied.
"Same..." I muttered.
"Hey, didn't you tell me that you're starting work at a nearby zoo tomorrow?" Ash asked.
"Yeah I am! All of the people in my team are the people who I was in the same classes with in college so I'll settle in there really easily!" I answered.
"Well, why don't you take them to zoo with you?" He suggested, "You won't have to worry about first impressions anyway since you already know them!"
"I guess I could do that, thank you!" I replied, and then leaned into to give him a kiss.

The next day, I ended up waking up very early in the morning. Probably because I accidentally drank coffee last night instead if my usual hot chocolate.
But anyway, I got dressed into my zoo uniform and then listened to some music on my scarlet red headphones until Chloe woke up next.
She went over to the kitchen and got a cherry Coca-Cola before sitting down beside me. The poor girl looked just as tired as I had been, probably because she was worrying for her girlfriend.
"Good morning Chloe," I said softly.
She suddenly snapped out of her dark thoughts and turned to me, "Oh, good morning Goh!"
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"I had nightmares last night..." She mumbled.
"About Dawn?" I questioned.
"Yes..." She replied.
"Well hopefully I can make you and your girlfriend feel better today!" I said.
"With what?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm going to take you to the zoo since it's my first day working there and I wouldn't mind a few extra faces!" I announced.
"But what about making first impressions?" She questioned, "We don't want to mess up you making new friends!"
"I know everyone who will be working there anyway since we all went to college together!" I explained, "It will be fine!"
"Okay then..." She muttered in reply.
Me and Chloe decided to keep this as a suprise from Dawn so when she woke up, we didn't say anything.
After eating breakfast together, we then went and got dressed but just as we were about to head out of the door, Ash burst out of the door to our bedroom in his pyjamas.
"What are you doing here?!" I screamed in shock, "I thought you were in work!"
"I rolled out of bed and now I need help going to work!" He answered and then begged on his knees, "Please could you drive me there!"
I really wanted to help my boyfriend out, but I knew I couldn't at this moment.
"Sorry my love but I don't want to make myself late to work too!" I replied and then closed the door on him.
I sighed and then with that, we all walked out of the flat together and to the car park. Dawn trued to walk over to her car but Chloe took hold of her hand and redirected her to mine.
"Why are we going in Goh's car?" She asked.
"We have a suprise for you!" He girlfriend said as she strapped her in the back and then got into her seat next to me.
I started up the car and then we drove out of the car park. Because my Spotify playlist is full of classical and jazz music, Chloe hooked up her phone instead and the first song that came on was Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter.
The song was pretty catchy and after really losing myself in the music, all three of us were able to sing along to the chorus in sync.
A few more songs played that I wasn't too fussed about and then we arrived outside of the zoo.
"Why are we at a zoo?" Dawn asked.
"As your girlfriend said, it's a secret!" I reminded her as I unclipped my seatbelt.
We all got out of the car and then when we arrived at the entry, I was shocked to find Danika inside the ticket booth.
"Hi Goh!" She greeted, waving with a smile.
"Hey Danika, how are you?" I asked.
"I'm doing great, how are you?" She said.
"Not too bad!" I replied.
"So you're starting work here today if I remember correctly?" She questioned.
"Yes I am!" I answered.
"Great, so-" Danika was about to explain but suddenly a red haired guy I know as Quillon appeared behind her.
"Why is Goh here?" He asked in a very unimpressed tone.
"I told you yesterday that he's starting work here, it will be so much fun to have the Mew gang back together!" The blue haired lady exclaimed.
"Mew gang?" Chloe questioned.
"Yeah, me, Danika, Quillon, Horace and Gary were apart of the Mew gang because all of our favourite pokémon is Mew!" I explained.
"I thought your favourite pokémon was Cinderace," Dawn said.
"A person can have two favourites okay!" I responded and then turned my attention back to Quillon and Danika.
"Anyway, you head back to your post and I'll see you in a minute!" She instructed and quickly kissed him on the cheek before waving the flustered boyfriend away, "Ahhhh, boys are so cute!"
"Agreed!" Me and Dawn said.
"Can't relate..." Chloe muttered.
"Anyway, if you follow behind Quillon he'll show you the way to the staff room and then Gary we'll assign you to your post!" Danika explained.
"Okay thank you!" I replied.
We waved goodbye and then we did as we told as we followed behind him to the staff room. He was very quick for us but luckily I had received a key card in the mail a few days ago anyway so I was able to get in.
When I was inside, I was suprised to see that only Quillon and Horace were there but not Gary who I was supposed to be seeing.
"Hi Horace, where is Gary?" I asked.
"He said he's coming in later," Horace replied.
"Do you know where my post will be though?" I then asked.
"You have been assigned to the primate post," He answered.
"Why the primate post?" Dawn questioned.
"Gary thinks Goh looks like a monkey," The silver haired guy explained.
"HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL HIM I'M NOT A MONKEY?!" I yelled.
"I honestly don't know," Horace replied.
After that, me and the two girls left the room and I gave them some money so they could go and feed the animals and so they wouldn't have to cling to my back the whole time.
Then with that, I walked over to the primate post and waited for people to arrive.
The day was really fun as I got to educate both the children and adults about the different primates and I also got to do tricks with them too.
Gary scared me at one point when he hid behind my back and we then got into an argument, but other than that my first day working there was very enjoyable.
I also found that there was one specific monkey that I became very fond of and decided to name him Groomey as I love to name animals after Pokémon for some reason.
When the day was over, I met up with Chloe and Dawn in the car park and as we drove back home, we told each other about how fun our day had been.
And at the very end, I asked, "So, does today make up for what happened yesterday?"
"Yeah, I guess so..." Dawn replied...
