Now fight me
Thor and Loki made their way from Nagini's lair and reached the end of the tunnel. They waited up top but within the safety of the large oak tree.
They peeked out into the darkness as they stood in silence. Loki's mind completely lost in thought of you.
Thor could see his brothers anguished expression, and sensed he was full of worry.
"I hate sitting and waiting Thor. She's out there. And my mind just replays horrifying thoughts of what he could be doing to her. I can't bare this silence. My mind punishes me when it's quiet" Loki said, turning away from the dark to look beseechingly at Thor.
If ever Loki wanted to hear Thor's rambling stories, now would be it. Anything was better than silence.
Thor looked at Loki with sympathy, trying to think of something comforting to say. He opened his mouth thinking he had it, but his mind went completely blank. He snapped his mouth shut and went back to pondering.
Loki sighed, and looked back into the wilderness. He listened to the soft crunching of leaves, and the tiny scuffling of small animals wandering the floor of the forest. But images of you kept flashing before his eyes.
He suddenly jolted up when he heard Thor bellow out a sea shanty. Thor even slurred his words as though drunk, putting on an entertaining performance to distract Loki from his intrusive thoughts.
Loki leaned against the dirt wall and smiled as he watched his brother animate his arms to go along with his singing. He made a mental note not to taunt him on his singing anymore. Appreciating his brothers distraction immensely.
Thor had nearly came to the end of his song when a loud moan suddenly resonated down the long tunnels. The sound grabbing both Loki and Thor's attention.
Thor stopped singing, and listened as the moans got louder, huskier and out of breath.
Both brothers locked eyes, and knew immediately where the noise came from.
Munnin and Nagini's pleasureful wails resonated towards them. At first soft groans, followed by whimpering moans. But then as they picked up the pace with their love making. The noises transitioned into sounding like a pack of wild animals, scrapping over the last piece of meat. They became feral.
Thor clasp his hands over his ears, not wanting to hear anymore of their sinful sounds. Whereas Loki grinned wide, his mind exploding with more thoughts of you. But this time, he reminisced of explicit memories.
He closed his eyes and relaxed back, picturing you in front of him. Your milky skin bare of clothes. Wearing only a smile on your face.
"I miss you" He muttered under his breath as he imagined himself smoothing his thumb over your lower lip. He leaned in close, wanting his lips to replace his thumb. But before he could imagine the next part he was awakened from his sweet thoughts with a harrowing scream.
His eyes snapped open wide as he bolted up. He quickly glanced to Thor, who's startled face confirmed he also heard the shriek.
"It's Mina. I know it!" Loki said, panicked.
He dashed out of the hole in the ground and stood upright in the dark forest. Listening for any other noise.
"Loki. Come back inside. It's almost daylight. We'll see better at sun up and we'll have Munnin with us. He can track her" Thor pleads.
"I can't Thor. That's her scream. Didn't you hear the pain in her voice. I must leave" Loki asserts.
Thor scrambled out of the hole "Then I'm coming with you" He declared.
"No. You need to stay here. If I'm wrong, I'll need you and Munnin to find us. Stay here. Wait for Munnin to emerge and then track my Queen. Hopefully I'll be with her"
"But Loki-"
"Please Thor! Listen to me!" Loki begs, gripping Thor's shoulders tight.
Thor saw the anxiousness in Loki's eyes and reluctantly relented. He nodded and allowed Loki to slip away.
It took mere seconds for Loki's form to disappear into the darkness. The forest so black, it was hard to see even a few feet in front.
Thor watched with apprehension. Staring motionless at the spot he last saw Loki. Praying his brother would find you, and come back safely.
ββββββββββββββββ
"You pushed me! You cowardly son of a bitch!" You shouted, clutching your left side.
"I did not. You merely slipped" Gunnar lied.
"No. The drawl drew close and was coming at you, but you fucking pushed me towards it. And now I have its teethmarks indented in my side" You hiss, leaning against a tree, holding in your pain.
Drawls are small. Their mouths are little. It couldn't have hurt that much. So stop your yapping" He concluded, invalidating your pained expression.
"Small yes. But their teeth are sharp! It bloody well did hurt. Did you not hear my harrowing scream. That's proof enough it was painful!"
Gunnar suddenly looked wary and pulled you off the tree, exacerbating your pain "yes I heard it. And likely so did your rescuers. Who still trek behind us. So let's move. No time to patch up a little scrape" He said, downplaying your wound.
"A little scrape? I'm damaged goods. You're not getting your full coin with this bite mark on my porcelain skin!" You confess.
Gunnar finally looked down at your wound, only just able to see it in the dark. "You're bleeding out. Put pressure on it!" He demanded. Taken by surprise at how deep the drawls teeth had pierced your skin.
He forced you back onto the tree and ripped a strip of your dress, much to your annoyance. You were already shivering from the cold. You didn't want less clothes on.
He pushed the scrap of material against your wound, "hold that steady" He instructed.
You watched as he untied his boot and with one quick action pulled his lace free. "This should be long enough to wrap around your tiny waist. Help me tie it"
You held your rag in place and helped Gunnar wrap his lace around your waist. Using it as a tourniquet to tightly press the makeshift bandage against your wound. The pressure stopping the bleeding.
"There. Now at least you won't become weak with loss of blood. I will get my coin. I've come too far for you to die on me now!"
"Oh. And there's me thinking you actually had some remorse." You say, pushing yourself up and barging past him. Knocking his shoulder intentionally as you strut.
He snarled at your fiesty sass and quickly gripped the chain, keeping you close.
Your body trembled, feeling the cold even more since your magic was bound. It made you feel weak. Feel tired. You wasn't sure how long you'd be able to stay upright without rest.
Gunnar walked slightly behind you, and saw your body begin to sway. He noticed you were starting to get tired.
"Black out and I'll fuck your unconscious body. Let that motivate you to stop swaying and keep moving" Gunnar said, laughing amused to himself.
You immediately straightened your slouched back and perked up. You had no doubt he would do such a heinous act. He was the most monstrous person you had ever met.
You purposely broke yet another low residing branch as you walked. Leaving clues for Loki so he could track you. The dark made it easier to be discreet, but you knew come sun up it would be difficult to keep marking your way without Gunnar seeing.
Just before the sun started to illuminate the forest, you tore a small piece of your dress, unbeknownst to Gunnar and hung it on a low lying branch. You knew this would be the last of your clues. You prayed Loki wasn't too far behind and would find it.
Little beams of sunlight crept through the branches as the sun moved higher in the sky. You stopped and moved your cheek towards the light, relishing the feeling of warmth on your skin.
"The brighter forest means we'll be easily spotted. Do not stop" He demands, pulling your chain and forcing you away from the warm sunlight.
"Can we not rest for five minutes! I need heat. I need water-"
"And I need my own palace filled with lustful whores with bouncing tits. And I can only get what I want when I sell you. You'll be his fucking problem. Good luck to him and good riddance to you"
You turn and grin wide "oh. And here I thought we were bonding" You say sarcastically.
He scoffed "You may be blessed with powerful magic, and have a body any man would kill to fuck. But you're far too much trouble. Your master will need to pull out the big guns if he thinks he can tame you. You're a disobedient bitch!" Gunnar rambles.
"Well, this disobedient bitch requires five minutes rest" You say. Stopping mid walk.
Gunnar growls, but his aching feet, full of blisters needed the rest too.
He looked around and found a large boulder and quickly pulled you over to it.
"There. Sit and rest" He commanded.
You slid down the rock and rested against it. Your head leaned back, and to your amazement the sun rolled above you. Shining its rays through the tree top branches.
You hummed softly feeling the warm beams hit your numb face. It was soothing. Comforting.
It wasn't long before you felt your eyes begin to roll to the back of your head. Your body and mind so tired, it screamed at you to give in and sleep. And although you fought it, you were powerless to the notion of slumber.
~~~~~~~
Your eyes flutter open feeling a pressure on your chest. You drew in a stuttered gasp when you saw it was Gunnar putting his full bodyweight on top of you.
You instinctively pull on your arms to push him off. But your arms were bound at the wrists and held up above your head. The rope weighted down by a small but heavy boulder.
You struggled under his body, while trying to free your arms, but the boulder only budged slightly.
"Get off me!" You said. Finding it hard to talk from the pressure on your lungs. He was crushing you and you struggled to breathe.
"I told you princess. Should you become unconscious, I will take your body for myself. You slept. Now I claim my prize"
You feel his thick thighs part your legs, and as you look down you notice his trousers were rolled down to his ankles.
"No!" You force out, squirming your body against the rough terrain.
"I'm not even going to warm you up first. I want it to hurt" He snarls, looking down at your red rimmed eyes.
"Please. Don't." You plead.
His lips curve upwards, giving you a wicked grin. "I may not be able to break you. But I will haunt you forever, by leaving a lingering memory of our special time together"
You felt his cock grow hard against your thigh, and you quaver a sob when he grinds his hips into you. His cock sitting dangerously close to your entrance.
Your tried to move your legs in all directions. Trying anything to push him off you. But his heavy bodyweight meant you sunk low into the ground, limiting your movements.
You desperately pulled on your bound wrists. The metal cuffs digging into your skin, causing it to become sore and bloody. But to your relief the small boulder finally started shifting and slid against the wet mud.
Gunnar saw the boulder move, and quickly slammed your arms back against the dirt. Stopping you from pulling any further.
His face leaned in close to yours. The heat of his breath fanning your face. "I will have you" He whispered, bringing out his hips in preparation for a hard thrust.
You realised this was the final moment. You needed to do something now, before he forcefully penetrated you.
You pushed your head back into the dirt, before shooting it upwards. Bashing his nose with a strong head butt.
He cried out in pain, leaning himself off you and sitting up on his knees. His hand held onto his bloody nose, while his head tilted upwards to stop the bleeding.
You pulled fiercely on your restraints, further loosening the rope from under the rock. With another hard pull, the rock lifted from the ground and flew in the air, narrowly missing Gunnar's face. Much to your dismay.
Gunnar heard the loud thud as the rock hit the ground and turned to look, before gazing back at you. "You broke my nose, you whore!"
You didn't hesitate to react. You quickly rushed up, pushing your entire body into him. Knocking him down onto the ground.
With your bound hands you searched his waistcoat for the dagger he concealed. You felt it, and gripped its hilt. But before you could pull it out and wield it. Gunnar rolled you over and forced you down.
You screamed in pain as he dug his boney knuckles into your wounded side. Making your injury bleed even more.
"I will have you!" He yelled defiantly, over and over again. His eyes ablaze with raw lust.
He forced his knee between your legs, keeping them parted. Making sure to keep his face far away from your forehead this time.
"You ready princess? Because I am!"
"Noooo!" You cry, closing your tear filled eyes, feeling utterly powerless. You knew at any moment he was about to get his wish and have you.
Suddenly you hear a loud growl and your whole body became lighter. Your lungs expanded, no longer feeling compressed.
You opened your eyes and to your surprise you didn't see Gunnar on top of you. His bodyweight now released off your chest, meant you could finally breathe a lot easier.
You hear scuffling which grabbed your attention but before you could look towards the sound you saw Gunnar's body fly past you and hit a large tree trunk. He hit it so hard, the bark broke off and splintered into his back.
He let out a high pitched wail before sliding down and coming to a stop, slumped against the tree. His trousers still rolled down to his ankles and his cock visibly exposed.
"How dare you touch my Queen!!" A fierce loud voice echoed out from the side of you.
You turned your head and saw it was Loki. Immediately your body trembled with nervous excitement.
He strutted towards Gunnar with hot anger raging inside of him and pulled on his ankles. He dragged him across the rough floor causing Gunnar to groan in pain as his naked ass was scraped against sharp twigs.
Loki's fury escalated when he only heard him groan. He wanted him screaming.
He quickly flipped him around, and continued to forcefully haul him around the forest floor. Intentionally towing him belly side down across jagged rocks, and stingy nettles.
Loki grinned darkly, hearing Gunnar howl out in agonising pain as his uncovered cock became scratched and bloody against the floor.
"Never. Ever. Touch my Queen!" Loki yelled, angry.
You stare in shock at your King, coming to your defence and defending your honour. You've never loved his dark side as much as you did right now.
"Loki" you mutter. Desperate for his touch.
Loki ran his eyes around until they landed on you, and the anger that laced his eyes slowly faded upon seeing you.
He stood breathing heavy, but promptly dropped Gunnar's legs and darted over to you.
He collapsed to his knees and held you firmly against his chest. You didn't care that his touch hurt your wounded side, because in that moment nothing else mattered. You felt safe. You felt loved. You were back home, snuggled in his large arms.
Feeling wetness on your shoulder caught your attention. You pulled back and found Loki tearing. Overjoyed and relieved to have you back in his arms.
His happy expression slowly morphed into sadness when he scanned your tired and pale face. His eyes coming to a stop at your busted lip.
He raised his hand slowly and brushed his fingertips ever so gently against your split lip. Furrowing his brows in silent anguish seeing the visible bruise, and deep cut.
"Does it hurt?"
You nodded slowly, and he sighed.
A hiss escaped your mouth as he trailed down your neck, his fingers moving across a wound you had not noticed.
His hand pulled back, too afraid to cause you more hurt. But although his caresses was sometimes painful, the loss of his touch on your body was even more so.
You gently take his hand, and place them back on your body. Motioning for him to continue.
He understood your request, and continued taking his time to touch you with feather light strokes. His eyes absorbing every detail of you, as his fingers slowly swept across your bare shoulders.
You instinctively rolled your head back as he leaned in, and began peppering gentle kisses along your collar bone. His warm breath fanning over your cold skin as he adorned your body with tantalising pecks, sent shivers down your spine.
Involuntary soft moans escaped your lips as his greatly missed affection evoked your arousal. His ears pricked up, and he smiled against your skin, enjoying the delicious sounds you made.
He purred in response, his own arousal awakening and coming on strong.
Your body ached with soreness but each kiss ignited tiny sparks lower down in your body, overriding your discomfort.
He traced his lips over each purple bruise, and with every delicate touch a green glow emanated. Sending healing warmth through your body.
Slowly, his kisses danced back up towards your lips. He looked into your eyes as he ghosted his mouth against your cut lip, expelling another green glow of healing magic.
"Do you feel better my Queen?" He said softly. Having kissed away all your visible ailments.
You nodded again.
"I want to hear you"
You smiled and spoke softly. "Seeing you makes me feel better. But feeling your lips, ascends me to rapture"
Loki smiled sweetly. Mesmerised by your melodic voice and angelic smile. He truly missed it.
"I've missed you Sweetheart"
"We've missed you too" you say, placing his hand flat against your belly.
Loki drew in a stuttered sob. His eyes pooling with tears. "My sweet child" he said, still in wonderment how he came to be so blessed.
"You will be a wonderful father my Love"
You moved yourself closer towards him, and placed your hand on his face. "I love you Loki"
Loki stared deeply into your eyes, hypnotised by the devoted love behind them. You returned a gaze and get lost in his baby blues, until you see something glint from the corner of your eye. It grabbed your attention, forcing you to glance towards it.
You had no chance to speak and only just enough time to react.
You forcibly push Loki away from the sharp dagger that whizzed towards his neck. Gunnar had awakened and aimed his blade at Loki.
Loki's back hit the ground, the dagger just missing him.
You let out a shriek of pain, as the dagger hit your arm instead. But the adrenaline and furious anger superseded your agony. Your mind was clouded with extreme loathing at Gunnar who cowardly tried to strike Loki with his back turned.
Just as Loki comprehended what had just happened, and before he could dart up and heal you. You pull the dagger from your arm, and wield it. Dashing over to Gunnar, who now tried to get up and make a run for it.
You crash into him, and he fell hard to the ground. His body suddenly listless, and almost unmoving.
You slowly lift your body off him, and as you do, you feel the blade you still gripped slide out of his chest.
Your body automatically started shaking as you hovered over him, watching him cough up blood. The deep crimson seeping down the sides of his mouth.
Loki saw your horrified expression, and immediately knew you were in shock.
"It's okay darling. It's ok" He reassured, healing your stab wound before wrapping his arms around your whole body, and holding you close.
"I killed him. I ended a life" You say, full of guilty emotion.
"No sweetheart. He's not dead, see"
Loki pointed to Gunnar who lay sprawled on the dirt floor. His breathing weak and laboured.
"But he's going to die! I pierced his lung. I felt it slide in. He's not going to survive Loki, and I will be forever haunted by that fact. Even if he did deserve it" You say, weeping.
Loki nestled his head in the crook of your neck, whilst continuing to hold you from behind. "Then I will never allow you to bare that burden" he said softly in your ear.
You looked at Loki and offered him a relieved smile. Grateful that he would try to heal someone so vile. All so you wouldn't have to carry the guilt.
Loki unhooked his arms from around your waist and faced you "Give me the dagger Darling"
You look at him confused. Unable to comprehend his request. "Please" he said, holding out his hand.
But you couldn't shake the unholy dread that washed over your body. You nervously gripped the dagger tighter.
Loki gently prised each one of your fingers away from the handle, until he held the dagger in his own hand.
"Thank you Sweetheart" He smiled.
He turned around and kneeled down next to Gunnar, and observed his chest expand up and down in short spasms. The life slowly beginning to fade from his dark glassy eyes.
"Valhalla does not await you. Only the fiery pits of hell. You should never have touched my Queen"
Without a moments thought, Loki raised his arm and plunged the dagger deeply into his heart. Twisting it within his chest before pulling it out.
You squealed in shock. Your trembling hand instinctively covering your mouth.
You heard Gunnar's last breath gurgle out of him as he passed away from Loki's fatal wound.
You glanced your wide, watery eyes at Gunnar, and then at Loki, and watched frozen in place as Loki wiped his blade clean using a corner of Gunnar's ragged tunic. Once it was free from blood he stood up and approached you. The murder weapon now magically hidden away and out of your sight.
"There, it was I who ended his life. Not you Darling. You don't need to feel any guilt, and certainly no unneeded heavy burden"
You were still in shock at witnessing Loki end a life. You thought he offered to heal him. Not finish him off for you.
"I-I, thought you meant you'd heal him. How can you take a life so easily?" You stutter.
"I do not take pride in doing so, but anyone who hurts you will feel my blade. His death was quick. Had we had more time, I'd have made him suffer more"
Loki pulled you against his body, and looked deeply into your eyes "Do you think I'm a monster for not feeling any guilt at ending his worthless life?"
Loki hesitantly waited for your answer, suddenly feeling afraid of your reply. You studied his nervous face for a moment before speaking.
"No Loki. I will never see you as a monster"
Loki sighed in relief.
You gently grazed his tender lips with your thumb, and instinctively he kissed it. "I wish I had your bravery, my emotions make me weak" you sigh.
"No darling, your empathetic nature shows you're human. You cherish life when most don't. Do not bury your uniqueness"
You look at Gunnar's dead body, his eyes were still open. Glassy and lifeless. His skin a pale white. You thought it was fitting. During your time together he called you a porcelain doll. Yet now, as he lay dead. It was him who resembled a soulless inanimate doll.
Loki took your hand and guided you towards Gunnar, before kneeling down next to his body.
"Kneel Kitten"
You hesitantly bent down besides Loki, bewildered why he'd ask you to come this close to the body.
Loki held out his hand and with a flicker of green his dagger reappeared within it.
"Whilst I love your kindness, the realms can be a difficult place to live darling. There is evil and wicked people, he was one of them. These people commit no good deed in life. They only cause pain whereever they go. We have a child on the way, and while I always plan on being around, I cannot guarantee that is what the gods have fated for me"
A flicker of sadness crossed your face as you imagined a world without Loki by your side. Your lower lip quavered, fighting back a sob "I won't live in a world without you Loki" you say trying unsuccessfully to stifle tears.
"You will, and you must" he said defiantly "A child can survive without a father, but they can't live without a mother. A mother is within their veins. A mother is the essence that shapes them as they grow. Should anything ever happen to me, you must be strong for our child"
You bowed your head, hiding your heartbreak.
"Look me in the eyes, my love"
He gently placed his finger under your chin and lifted your lowered face. You stared into his ocean blues, exposing your sorrow.
"When death takes my hand. I will hold you with the other and promise to find you in every lifetime"
You blinked through fresh tears upon hearing his words "Do you really promise Loki?" You ask.
He smiles and gently kissed you, sealing his promise to seek you in every lifetime, through time and space. And as he kissed you, you felt him take your hand and place the dagger in your palm. Closing your fingers around the hilt.
"You said you wished you had my bravery, but Kitten, you're the bravest person I know. You just need to practice to switch off your feelings. To become numb, emotionless, and I am here to help you with that"
You look at him with nervous curiosity.
"I want you to lift your arm and plunge the dagger into Gunnar's chest" he instructs.
You furrow your brows in protest "I can't!"
Loki lifted your arm up as you held the dagger "You can, and you must. You need to learn to react quickly, and not feel immense burden should you take a life. In his entire life, he never did a single thing good. But his body can finally do something useful. Strike him, over and over until you feel no emotion"
You stare down at Gunnar's body feeling horrified. Your raised hand beginning to tremble against Loki's grip.
"Do it my love. Practice makes perfect"
You snap your head to Loki, unbelieving that he was urging you to desecrate a body.
"Now. Plunge it!" He demands. Letting go of your arm.
Your hand hesitated as it hovered above Gunnar's body and your loud thumping heart raced in your chest as your breathing quickened. You just couldn't bring yourself to thrust it down.
"He was about to abuse you. Use your body as a play thing. His own person doll to do with as he wished! Strike him! Protect yourself" He yells.
You continue to pause, in two minds whether to do it. Your heart was filled with so many conflicting emotions.
"Imagine he's about to hurt our baby, will you be hesitant then?! ....Hesitate for a few seconds and it's too late. It's our baby gone, not him!"
You snapped your eyes angrily at Loki "No one will hurt my son" You growl, your eyes ablaze with fire.
You immediately thrust downward and struck Gunnar's body with the sharp blade. It showed no resistance and went in with ease, even with your powers bound.
"Again!" Loki yelled.
You lift your arm and plunged back down. Striking him for the second time.
Loki smirked feeling pleased, but he needed to push you more. "Faster! Stab him!"
You gripped the blade with two hands and this time you didn't stop your movements. You stabbed him multiple times. Grunting as you did so and losing count of how many jabs you inflicted.
Maternal rage consumed you, as you imagined him trying to hurt your baby.
All surrounding noise became obscured, and even Loki's voice became muffled and distant. You heard only the hard thumps as your blade made contact with Gunnar's lifeless body. Your mind zoning out as you sliced through his meat repetitively.
His body resembled a slashed pin cushion, as each emotional thrust, left deep gaping wounds in his torso. But you couldn't stop, your mind was fixated on detaching your empathic emotions from your body, making you numb to your twisted actions.
"Stop my love. Be calm. You did well" You finally heard Loki's intensified voice fade back in and feel his arms wrap around your body, stilling your rapid movements.
"Don't cry Kitten, you did so good"
You didn't realise you were weeping hysterically all the while you were in a violent frenzy. Your mind finding emotional release as you expel your tears.
You sat back in Loki's arms, still clutching the bloodied dagger, numb to your surroundings.
Loki kissed the top of your head, soothing your dissociated self back to reality. And as you came back from your dreamlike state you gazed at Gunnar's mutilated body.
Your face scrunched in disgust and immediately you felt the bile reach the back of your throat. Loki felt you tremble and turned your face to look at him, averting your eyes away from the gruesome scene.
Your heart rate began to slow to a normal rhythm as Loki held you. You took a deep breath, coming to terms with what you had done. You were glad he pushed you. You needed to be less fragile and this was the first step to a more powerful you.
"No one will hurt our son Loki, no one"
"Our son?" He asks, rubbing his hand in circular motions over your belly.
You offer him a small smile "It's a hunch. Well, more than an hunch......I feel him"
Loki beams wide, suddenly filled with elation.
"I will have a son" he whispers, unbelieving.
You smile at his stunned expression, committing his image to memory. But your smile soon faded when you heard a twig snap under someone's foot.
Without thinking you throw the blood soaked dagger towards the direction of the sound and heard the thud, as it struck a large tree.
"Woah, by the Gods hold steady your weapons!" Thor yelled fearful.
Loki and you immediately stood up and saw Thor releasing the dagger from the tree. Freeing his impaled cloak.
"You nearly hit me Loki!" Thor scolded from afar.
Loki smirked "It wasn't me this time Brother".
Thor looked at you surprised "Well, good try Sister. But lucky for me you missed"
"Did I miss? If I intended to kill, I would've aimed slightly left and struck just between your eyes. But I hit exactly what I aimed for. Your cape" you say amused.
Thor gulped. And Loki grinned wide "That's my Queen" he said proudly..... "Where's Munnin?"
Your brows raised as shock settled on your face. Did you really just hear him ask where Munnin was? You listen with intrigue at Thor's reply.
"He isn't far behind. When he finally finished with Nagini he didn't come out of her lair alone. He was accompanied by the man who was held captive in her cage. Apparently he was one of Gunnar's men. He's rather useless. No tracking skills. And his large round belly meant he isn't much of a fighter. But no matter how many times we shooed him away, he refused to leave our side. Too fearful of the forest. He'd rather risk Odin's punishment than the creatures that reside here......Munnin stayed behind with the slow poke while I ran ahead towards the sounds. I was hoping it was you brother.......Where's Gunnar? Did he escape?"
You had many questions, who was Nagini? And what was her business with Munnin. But the mention of Gunnar pursed your lips, putting your curiosity on hold.
You continued to hold still, using your body to block the view of Gunnar's mangled corpse. Loki saw your apprehension and approached Thor. Taking grip on his shoulder, and leading him away.
"He's dead brother. Killed by my hand"
You sigh relieved. You didn't want Thor to see what you had done to Gunnar's body. The scene was truly grisly.
You appreciated that Loki purposely walked ahead with Thor, taking him far enough away from the murder site to make you less anxious. He understood you well.
It also gave you enough time to make yourself look less like a bloody murderess. You searched for dewy foliage to scrub your arms free of blood. But to your surprise you heard water nearby.
Believing it to be a stream, you follow the sounds in hopes you find shallow water to clean yourself of Gunnar's blood.
You heard Thor and Loki converse in conversation as you walked in the opposite direction, their clearly heard voices reassurance that they were still close.
You trek on. Occasionally tuning back to make sure they were still in sight.
You hear crashing sounds of what sounded like a waterfall ahead. It drowned out the noise of Loki yelling for you who now noticed you had wandered off too far.
You continued walking forward but at a faster pace, seeing a clearing beyond the trees just ahead.
Curiosity got the better of you making you forget to look back. If you did you would have saw Loki now in the far distance, dashing around, and yelling frantically for you.
You jump from the darkened woods and enter into clear views. Immediately your eyes squinted from the sudden change of dark to light.
You felt the ground underneath you hard. The soil gone, replaced with stone slabs. As you gaze around you notice you stand in an old ruin. Ancient stones of what was a grand castle, but now merely a shell of what once was.
The sounds of strong water crashing grabbed your attention. You walked closer, but stopped when you realised you stood dangerously close to the Cliffs edge. Your stomach immediately lurched as you peeked over.
You stepped back feeling fearful of the steep drop that had no visible end. The froth and mist reminiscent of a cloud blocking view of the bottom.
Only the old steeple roof that had toppled into the waterfall a long time ago was able to be seen. The tip just peering out of the surface.
"Let her go!"
Your heart leaped as you spun around, and saw Loki just merging onto the path, looking angry.
You suddenly felt a cold creeping presence rise up from behind you. But before you could react, your wrists were gripped tight, and forcibly held behind your back. Your body pulled against a tall body.
"I saw what you did to that Rebels body. I didn't think you'd have it in you Princess" Prince Beren said, sounding impressed.
Your heart sunk low down in your chest, hearing Beren's familiar monotonous voice.
You quickly try to pull your arms away, but his grip was unyielding. And his touch on your Elven iron cuff sent a buzzing heat around your body, strengthening the magic binds on you.
Sudden realisation hit you. It was him who gave Gunnar the iron to make cuffs and headbands to block magic. He was your secret buyer. The man who promised to pay Gunnar a hefty sum to bring you here in this desolate forest.
Was this Enchanted wood chosen because it was the hardest place to reach? He likely believed Loki would never find you here. Unable to gain entry.
Loki edged a bit closer, which made Beren step back closer to the cliff edge. Loki immediately stopped. Fearful his forward actions would make Beren retreat further back, toppling you both over the watery edge. He knew no person would survive the steep and jagged drop.
"What do you want Beren?!" Boomed Thor who stood slightly behind Loki.
"I want her! She should be mine!" He confesses angrily.
"You can't have her! She is fated to me!" Loki protested.Β
Beren scoffed, disgusted. "Such a rare being, wasted on a primitive and savage race. I can't accept that!"
"Well you're going to have to!" You yell, struggling against his strong arms. "I carry his child"
You expected him to lash out in surprise, paving a way for your escape but his demeanour was composed, placid. Only the sound of his voice showed his real feelings.
"So I hear" he sneered, his tone visibly repulsed. "The fact that you allowed frost scum to impregnate you made me question your nobility. But then I remembered you knew no different. Since entering the realms you've only been around people of lesser quality. I will show you Alfheim, and there you will see the difference in class, and worthiness"
You chuckle "Yeh, I don't think I'm going to fit in with your pompous snob of a realm!" You reply amused.
Beren suddenly gripped the nape of your neck feeling offended, and forced you to look at him. "You'll fit wherever I place you! Be mindful of your words and actions my dear. You could stand tall by my side or placed beneath my feet. The next step after that would be your neck under a guillotine!" He warns darkly.
Loki balled his fists in anger. "You've given enough abuse to my Queen. Now fight me!"
Beren chuckles amused "My father raised no fool Loki. His motto was 'never fight in a battle you know will lose'. So your challenge to a duel won't stir up honourably emotions in me. I know well I'd lose to a frost giant. Now my mother, she was cruel but wise too, her saying was 'Send your disposable pawns to fight your wars, while you feast on the fruits of victory in safety' ... I take heed her advice. I believe you've met my pawns.. Gunnar was it? And I happen to hold the victory fruit in my arms. I'll enjoy feasting on your Queen immensely. No doubt her juices are the sweetest"
Loki growled, clenching his teeth together "Fight me coward! Fight me!" He yells enraged.
Beren gave him a provokingly smug look. Deliberately fuelling his anger.
Suddenly Munnin come into view having heard your loud yells.
"Peaches!" He shouts, anxious.
You offered him a small smile, but he could see your fear.
"It seems most of the men who dote on you are here, well except your other raven. I hear the rebels killed him" Beren snickered.
You gasp in shock, your eyes welling with tears fearing Huggin dead. Loki was just about to reassure you when another voice spoke up.
"No, I'm here!"
Your eyes snap to the darkened forest, and within the shadows a feathery shape stepped through.
"Let Flower go!" Huggin demanded, standing tall.
You sighed in relief seeing Huggin uninjured and well.
Thor looked at him in stunned surprise, never believing he'd wake in time. But Loki merely smiled, giving him a nod. He had faith in Huggin. He knew Huggin would hear him as he relayed his plan in his ear while he laid unconscious. Hoping he would come and help rescue you.
As soon as he woke from his healing coma he knew exactly where Loki travelled too. Making sure to complete his instructions before leaving to join his brothers.
"You're outnumbered Beren, let her go and I'll let you live" Loki demands.
Beren smirked "But am I? I never do things without a back up plan. Granted this isn't how I wanted your end. I had a surprise trap ready and waiting for you on your trek back. But our unruly princess here, had to run off in the opposite direction in search of water didn't she" Beren said annoyed, squeezing your wrist harder as punishment for derailing his well thought out plan.
You hold in your pain. Not wanting Loki to be worried anymore than he was. But you winced, unable to keep a straight face.
All three men unanimously made disapproving noises, witnessing your pained expression. But Beren only smirked in response, delighted with their powerless demeanours.
"As much as I enjoy taunting you all as you look on helpless. I really must be going. Time to initiate my back up plan"
Loki noticed a small wooden object in Beren's hand, he lifted it to his lips and blew air into it. The unusual whistle creating a loud but strange tune.
"Nooo" Munnin yells. The scream so haunting you wondered if it came from him or someone else. You've never heard such a wail escape his lips before.
Everyone stared at Munnin confused. All except Beren.
Beren smirked a wicked grin "Of course only you would know that sound Munnin. Does it bring back harrowing memories of the raven slaughter. My father blew this very whistle all those years ago when putting an end to your kind. And now I blow it, putting the order in to finally finish the ravens off"
Beren whispered into your ear "You'll watch as he tears all those you love apart"
Your heart thumped fast in your chest as dread washed over you. You heard the sound of powerful gusts rise up, and the grunts or something large coming up from the bottom of the cliff.
You couldn't turn around, Beren held you in place, forcing you to see the horrified faces of everyone you loved.
Loki's eyes travelled up, straining his neck to look at something big and towering.
The grunts that resonated behind you sounded like they were right in your ear. A sudden hot breeze blew against your back. The heat so hot it felt like you were back in Hell.
"May I introduce you to Duron. But be warned. He does bite" Beren said, sarcastically.
"It was Alfheim all along! The Elves ordered the raven genocide!" Munnin growled furiously, his face full of emotion at this revelation.
All his years of living he knew someone higher up had a hand at his species extinction. It infuriated him that he never found out who the culprit was.
"Yes, we did. We couldn't allow the fast breeding ravens to outnumber us. We saw your potential, your powers. It wouldn't have been long before you grouped together and demanded to rule every realm. We Elven Kings refused to be ruled by a bird. You had to go. All of you!"
You saw the horror struck look in Munnin's eyes as flashbacks flickered inside his mind. That of his wife Lyda and his young child, brutally slain.
"We never wanted power! Ravens were never filled with greedy desires! We were loyal to family and friendships. We had an alliance with Odin and the other realms!" Huggin snapped, consumed with rage.
"Ah, Huggin. The boy raven who escaped. Saved by Munnin. If it wasn't for the fact Odin took you both in and made you his loyal raven soldiers, we'd have come back and finished you both off. But we assumed you were no threat. All raven women were slaughtered. There was no chance of you breeding again" He laughed heartlessly.
Your heart ached seeing the look on Huggin and Munnin's face as they were reminded they were both alone. The last of their kind dying with them.
Another hot wind blew down on you, followed by a guttural warning growl.
"That won't work on him!" Beren screamed, directing his anger towards something within the trees.
Everyone turned to see who he directed his rage at. To you're surprise you see familiar red orbs float out of the trees.
Kai stepped out, and this time Loki was surprised. He never told Huggin to release him. But Huggin felt the more people willing to help, the better your chances.
Kai looked at you sadly. Afraid for you and angry at himself for being powerless. His magic was not working on the beast who towered over you.
"I came prepared. You can see my beasts iron helmet can you not? When I realised I was controlled at the ball I made sure to dig up all of the Elven iron. Making enough to never be controlled again. My crown. Now made from that same iron. So you can never mind control me or my beast you pathetic Gypsy!"
Kai clenched his fists and angrily stepped forward but Munnin held out his arm, holding him back. "Don't be a fool sorcerer. You'll be scorched before you got near her"
You overheard Munnin's warning and as Beren arrogantly snickered smugly, you managed to free your neck and turn to look at the ominous presence that stalked behind you.
You gasped audibly.
"A fucking Dragon!" you yell in surprise "I've been in Asgard for god knows how long, and none of you told me dragons are real!" You scorn, while being dragged back in place by Beren.
Loki growled furiously seeing Beren man handle you roughly.
"I'm going to wash that filthy mouth of yours. If you are to be my breeding bride, I want a certain etiquette!" He scolded.
Loki's eyes bulged and his face turned a fiery red, now it was Loki that Munnin had to hold back.
"Breeding bride?..you will not fucking touch me!" You yell while struggling in his grip.
"I haven't decided whether to rip the blue scum that resides in your belly out of you, or allow you to birth it. I am always in need of new slaves"
His hand moved down to your belly, pressing in harshly. You winced from the pressure and Loki instantly dashed under Munnin's arm and ran forward, armed with daggers and magic.
Beren quickly blew his whistle and just before Loki got to you, a large dragon wing thrust downwards, throwing Loki into the air.
Munnin used his speed to propel upwards, catching Loki mid fall and bringing him safely down.
"Do not react Loki. We need to plan this carefully!" Munnin whispered into his ear, trying to instil sense into him.
"But you heard what he's going to do to my child. To Mina! I must save her"
"You will die trying! Think rationally! Do not act on emotions! How do you think I got away with being evil and vindictive for thousands of years. I acted without strong emotions! I calculated everything. A child needs a father as much as he needs a mother. Do not let your child grow without you because of a rash decision!"
Loki blinked through angry tears, knowing he was right. He puffed out his chest feeling more determined.
"Okay. Let's work together"
