2.2 | A Little Nookie Never Hurt Nobody

Cordelia sat on Caroline's bed, the two had spent the night talking about the chaos that had happened since the beginning of the school year and how much their lives have drastically changed. "But why would Katherine choose me?" Caroline asked Cordelia as she stepped out in a floral pink skirt with white stockings underneath, a cute white blouse and her hair slightly curled to match her twins curls. "Honestly, I have no idea, Care. But I'll find out," Cordelia assured her older twin as she stood up and brushed down her green plaid skirt matched with a long-sleeved shirt that was tucked into it.

"So you and Stefan... happened but then he got back with Elena?" Caroline asked, she was not happy about that. "I knew it would happen, Caroline. That's why I had a small taste and it's... actually helped," Cordelia replied to her sister. "Was he that bad?" Caroline questioned with wide eyes making Cordelia laugh. "No, he was the best I've had but... I don't know. While I was unconscious, I was in this white room that sort of spoke to me without saying a single word and... it mentioned a curse, the doppelganger curse to be exact," Cordelia explained before shaking her head, "But the focus right now is Katherine, not that."

The twins made their way downstairs where Liz stood on the phone, she turned her head to her daughters and smiled happily seeing they were both well and alive ─ as far as she knew. "Okay, thank you," Liz spoke into the phone before hanging up and stepping towards her daughters. "How are you two holding up?" Liz asked them, Caroline swallowed and turned to walk away while Cordelia frowned slightly, she knew that Caroline would be extra distant with their mother knowing about her place in the Vampire Council; they couldn't risk her finding out about Caroline's new. . . lifestyle.

"We're okay, Mom," Cordelia assured Liz, pulling her in for a hug knowing the woman would need it ─ honestly, Cordelia needed a hug from her mother. "If you feel unwell, just come home from school, okay?" Liz told her daughter, Cordelia nodded before she and Caroline left the house. "You know, there is a chance that Mom could accept it considering I'm a powerful witch known as a Starlight," Cordelia told Caroline who shook her head. "I can't risk it," Caroline replied, Cordelia left it at that knowing better than to push her older twin. "Let's face the chaos of high school education," Cordelia told her sister, Caroline laughed and agreed.

Elena walked up to Cordelia with Bonnie by her side outside of the high school. "Hello Elena," Cordelia greeted as Caroline stayed by her twins side avoiding Bonnie's eyes who clearly chose a side. "As you know, Stefan and I are together and I understand that you and him had a moment and─" Cordelia cut Elena's words off with a laugh. "Oh, Elena. I don't care. You and Stefan are together, I know that. I had my taste but my focus isn't boyfriend of the week, it's the annoying older doppelganger of you that turned my sister into a vampire that I'm focused on," Cordelia expressed before stepping forward, "And frankly, Elena, whatever talk you had planned. A waste of time because I know something that you don't."

Elena raised a brow at that, "And what is that?" Cordelia brushed some of Elena's hair behind her hair, unwillingly Elena blushed from the gentle act. "No matter how much you deny it or that Stefan denies it, you are falling for Damon and Stefan is falling for me," Cordelia whispered with a smirk before she locked eyes with Stefan a short distance away. "But like I said, in the meantime, I've got other priorities," Cordelia finished her, her fingers brushing against Elena's cheek and jaw before the Forbes twins walked away. "I love when you do that," Caroline told her twin before they shared a laugh.

"Katherine Pierce, I presume," Cordelia spoke as she sat painting an easel in the art room after school, her green eyes were focused on the forest she was delicately creating. "Cordelia Forbes, the Starlight," Katherine replied and she let the door close behind her, "How did you know it was me and not Elena? I've gotten pretty good at playing her." Cordelia scoffed at that and stood up, she turned to the older vampire with a smirk on her face. "The dead tend to have a cold presence about them but manipulative whores like you, they have their own flavour that coats the air," Cordelia answered her angering Katherine who rushed towards her.

Cordelia simply nodded her head sending Katherine into the wall, the Starlight's eyes flashed over white as she walked towards Katherine who had not been expecting the power to be alive in her. "This is interesting, don't you think?" Cordelia taunted Katherine. "How is your power awake? He isn't here!" Katherine growled out causing Cordelia's head to tilt. "What are you talking about? The comet woke my power," Cordelia responded to Katherine whose eyes widened slightly before she resumed her stoic expression. "So that little witch lied to me," Katherine sneered under her breath.

"Oh no, someone defied your orders? How shocking," Cordelia mocked as she leaned in closer to Katherine, placing two fingertips onto the vampires collarbone. "What are you doing?" Katherine demanded trying to hide her fear, she knew better than to anger a Starlight considering at full power they were practically Gods. "You see, we have this little issue of not knowing which is which without focusing on the differing necklaces so to fix that..." Cordelia trailed off as Katherine's skin began to burn under Cordelia's touch, "I'm gonna leave a mark that not even a vampire can heal from." Katherine gritted her teeth to hide the pain.

When Cordelia removed her fingers, left behind was a small seared mark of a star resting on her collarbone that seemed to heal enough to look like an old burn or even a birthmark. "Now that we've met, I want to warn you to stay away from my sister or the next encounter we have, I do not care for your intentions, I'll rip your heart from your chest," Cordelia warned sweetly before she released Katherine and made her way over to the painting, continuing it despite Katherine watching for a few moments longer before she left hoping to find a way to remove the mark on her skin ─ she knew it wouldn't be that easy.

"Mason Lockwood?" Cordelia spoke as she walked out of the Mystic Grill only to run into Mason and Tyler. "Cordelia Forbes, I heard you were in hospital recently, how are you doing?" Mason asked as the two shared a hug. "I'm doing better. Taking it easy," Cordelia replied with a smile before she noticed how on edge Tyler seemed to be. "Hey, Tyler, are you okay?" Cordelia asked as she placed her hand on his arm, the tension in his body eased after that and Mason was quick to notice it. "It's been rough," Mason spoke up. "I would say sorry for your loss but honestly, your dad was a dick," Cordelia told Tyler who laughed, he was fairly calm now.

"Want to join us for food?" Mason offered Cordelia with a kind smile. "Thanks but, uh, I've got plans with a friend," Cordelia replied as she spotted Angela standing a distance away with a glare on her face before she sped off. "Maybe next time then," Mason said before the two Lockwood's watched Cordelia walk away with a soft goodbye. "You know, your mom used to talk about how much she wanted you and Cordelia Forbes together," Mason teased as Tyler moved to walk into the Grill. "Me and Cori? No way, not like that," Tyler expressed, "She's more like that cool cousin you hang out with to be honest." Mason chuckled at that as they headed inside.

Cordelia made her way down the alley until she found Angela standing at the end hidden from the sight of others. "Let me guess, you're pissed about Chelsea's death," Cordelia stated with a sigh, "I heard that she had been found in her house burnt." Angela's face contorted to reveal the natural design of a vampire leaving Cordelia sighing to herself. "Let me guess, Kitty Kat Katherine Pierce, huh?" Cordelia asked. "She said that I can't kill you yet but... she never said anything about those you care about," Angela told her with a grin before she took off, her little warning didn't phase Cordelia as she doubted Angela was good enough to dodge the attention of the Council.

Reaching the Salvatore Boarding House, Cordelia headed inside to find Damon sitting on the couch with a glass of Whiskey in his head and a sorrowful expression. "Jeremy told me that you snapped his neck," Cordelia said as she crossed her arms, she glared as the glass in Damon's hand shattered piercing his hand. "Damn it, Lia!" Damon exclaimed as he stood up and looked at her. "You ever do something like that again, Damon Salvatore and I will lock you in the damn cellar to desiccate for a couple of years," Cordelia threatened before taking a deep breath and walking over to him, she wrapped her arms around his torso.

"But I know that Katherine angered you and whatever conversation you had with Elena made it worse, that's why I'm not too pissed but Jeremy will need time to forgive," Cordelia expressed as Damon stood there with no intention to hug her back. "It's Stefan, Cordelia. It'll always be Stefan... even you would chose--" Cordelia cut him off, "Okay, that's enough!" Cordelia pulled back and cupped Damon's face in her hands, "I would never chose Stefan over you. You are one of the most important people in my life, Damon. Because friends may come and go but you and me, we're in it to the fucking end, okay?" Damon's eyes were misty before he reached up to brush Cordelia's hair behind her cheek.

The two stared into each other's eyes, Cordelia's gaze softened as she smiled slightly. "Alright, let's make you and I feel better," Cordelia whispered before she pulled Damon down to her level and kissed him. The action was different for Damon and Cordelia but in the moment, it seemed to be exactly what both of them needed. Damon's hands glided down Cordelia's body until they landed under her thighs, he applied enough pressure to encourage her to jump up and wrap her legs around him. He moved until her back pressed against the wall, their kiss deepened at that and Cordelia let a moan escape her throat that sounded like a melody in Damon's head.

"Bedroom?" Damon whispered against her lips. "Bedroom," Cordelia agreed, Damon instantly carried her up to his room closing the door behind them. He laid her back against his freshly cleaned bedsheets, the silk brushing against Cordelia's skin as Damon leaned over her with his classic smirk. "This is new," Damon muttered to her. "Life's about experiences, right? I gotta taste what others have been so interested in," Cordelia replied to him as her fingers brushed down his chest until she reached the hem of his shirt, lifting it and helping him remove it. "And you seem very tasty," Cordelia added as she ran her fingers over his sculptured body. "I bet you taste sweeter," Damon growled before capturing her lips again.

Cordelia hummed to herself as she made food in the Salvatore kitchen wearing Damon's black button-up that rested mid-thigh. "Cordelia?" Stefan's voice made the blonde sigh before she turned to look up at the green eyed Salvatore. "Good morning, Stefan," Cordelia greeted with a sweet smile, "Would like some eggs?" Stefan was silent as he looked Cordelia up and down, he swallowed slowly at the sight of her bare legs along with the healing bites clearly done by the person who owned the shirt she wore. "You and Damon?" Stefan questioned with a slight flash of anger through his eyes. "Figured we could... entertain each other," Cordelia replied, "Is that a problem, Stefan? It shouldn't be considering you have a girlfriend so our deal was nothing but one night."

Stefan stayed silent while Cordelia hummed to herself before turning back to the eggs, plating up some for herself and Damon before turning off the stove. "Enjoy your day, Stefan. I'll enjoy mine," Cordelia spoke without looking at the younger Salvatore, she made her way upstairs with the plates of food and headed straight into Damon's room. "Have I mentioned that it's very attractive hearing you tease," Damon spoke as he sat against the headboard, his lower waist covered by the silk sheets while his bare chest was a welcoming sight to the blonde. "I couldn't help myself. Don't get me wrong, I don't care as much as I made it seem but I deserve a little teasing after he quickly dipped out of the deal," Cordelia explained herself.

After placing the plates down, Damon reached out and grabbed Cordelia pulling her onto his lap with a smirk on his face. "His loss, my gain," Damon said before he kissed Cordelia. "Eat breakfast, not me," Cordelia told him as his lips moved to her jaw before focusing on her neck, his fangs brushing against her skin. "But it's so refreshing," Damon whispered. "You'll become addicted," Cordelia said as she cupped his cheek and pulled his face to be in front of her own, "So you can pace yourself." Damon chuckled before leaning back against the headboard looking at the blonde sitting on his lap, this wasn't what he wanted but it was something he needed right now; something they both needed.

Rosemary Speaks. . .

Okay, so... There's some things to say about this chapter.

First and foremost, yes, Cordelia is the most powerful creature in the world however, she is not at her full potential... she can still overpower Katherine. This doesn't mean she will, you can't get answers or anything if she straight up kills Katherine. Plot armor for Katherine honestly.

Cordelia being flirty with Elena, what'd ya think of that?

DAMON AND CORDELIA!?
So many wanted it and honestly, it kind of works for this so like... the deal between Cordelia and Stefan is now a deal between Damon and Cordelia. How do you readers like that?
