1.20 | Pitched Chaos

Stefan lifted Cordelia by her thighs before slamming her against the wall again, the two victims to the strange tingles that soared through their bodies as their lips fought each other for dominance. Stefan pushed Cori against the wall, his touch was gentle but the way he kissed her neck was not. Her mind was swirling with delight as she let him take her hands and pin them above her to the wall, Stefan leaned back from her and Cori watched as his eyes changed to reveal veins under them, blood filling the white of his eyes as they darkened; But Cori felt no fear as fangs pierced into her neck creating a euphoric feeling through her body.
The taste of her blood in his system was like a breath of fresh air, it seemed to calm his cravings and soothe his insatiable thirst. Stefan pulled away and looked up at Cordelia, the pure look of euphoria on her face made his grip on her thigh tighten. Without caring about the blood coating Stefan's chin, Cordelia cupped his face and kissed him, a groan leaving Stefan's throat at the action. For a small flickering moment, he thought of Elena; the girl who had drugged him and locked him away before accepting his decision to end their relationship, for now, she had claimed. "I'm gonna make you feel so good," Stefan whispered into Cordelia's ear before speeding them up to his bedroom, the door closing behind him.
Cordelia blinked her eyes open, she looked around before noticing that she was in Stefan's room and his bed. She looked down to see that she was wearing his oversized shirt, chewing on her lip for a moment before breaking out of her post-lust trance to realise what she had just done. "Oh my God!" Cordelia exclaimed to herself, she looked around for Stefan. "Don't panic, Lia. You hooked up with my little brother but luckily for you, you are not a harlot," Damon spoke as he opened the door and leaned against it. "This isn't funny, Damon," Cordelia snarked as she pulled the blankets closer. "They broke up... hours before you showed up," Damon assured her, "Though... Elena believes it is temporary while he gets 'better'."
Cordelia scoffed, "There is nothing wrong with him. He just needs to learn control and that's more simple than everyone seems to think." Damon sighed, "Not as simple as you hope." Cordelia furrowed her brows before looking around, "Where is Stefan?" Damon smirked, "He's doing better already. I'd assume it was to do with your blood but he's assisting Jeremy with something." Damon pulled the blankets off of Cordelia and laughed at the clear hickeys and bites that littered her thighs before she pulled the shirt down to cover herself. "Damon!" Cordelia scolded. "Oh man, this is great," Damon commented with a chuckle before walking out.
Cordelia frowned as she looked at her clothes to find them torn, she let out huff of annoyance before standing up. Arms wrapped around her waist before lips pressed delicately on her neck and shoulder, "You okay?" Cordelia sighed as she stepped out of his arm, Stefan pouting at the action. "You and Elena--" Stefan cut Cordelia off, "Are done. We broke up yesterday." Cordelia nodded her head, "Exactly. Yesterday. And Damon claims she views it as temporary." Stefan sighed and looked down before stepping towards Cordelia, "What do you want?" Cordelia shook her head, "I'm nobody's second best. So this... no label, no definite thing. Until you are sure, Elena isn't what you want."
Stefan smirked at her words, he grabbed her hips and pulled her closer to him, "But we can still... indulge, right?" Cordelia laughed in mock disbelief before wrapping her arms around his shoulders, "I guess it wouldn't hurt." Stefan leaned in and kissed Cordelia, his fingers massaging her sides in way that made her almost moan in delight. "Damon says you're feeling better," Cordelia said as she pulled away, Stefan's lips moving to her jaw to plant soft kisses against her skin. "I think it's your blood. I feel... stronger than I ever have," Stefan whispered before pulling back enough to look at her, "Or maybe it's just you."
Cordelia blushed hearing that before clearing her throat, "Okay... maybe some rules need to be established. One of them, comments like that... to yourself. And there is no need to make some public show of affection because we are..." She trailed off making Stefan smirk, "Friends with Benefits?" Cordelia nodded though she knew he was enjoying this, blood really did make Stefan cocky and confident. "Yes. But no one needs to know because we aren't exclusive," Cordelia added but Stefan didn't seem to like that. "I don't share," Stefan told her. "I wasn't sleeping with anyone before, I'm not sleeping with anyone else after. It was more for you, in case you and Elena get carried away," Cordelia taunted before walking away, her hips swaying, his eyes watching.

Cordelia had managed to get home without being spotted by anyone, she still wore Stefan's shirt but stole Damon's sweatpants. The younger Forbes crept into the house and looked around, she let out a breath of relief at the knowledge that her mom wasn't home leaving her with a giddy smile as she pranced up the stairs towards her room for clothes. Cordelia opened her door as she chewed on her bottom lip attempting to hide the smile on her face with little success to do so. "WHOSE CLOTHING ARE YOU WEARING!?" Caroline Forbes' voice screeched making Cordelia jump, she unintentionally sent a surge of energy that caused the lights to flicker.
"Caroline!?" Cordelia scolded but the older Forbes was too distracted by the sight of hickeys on her twins neck. "You need to spill!" Caroline told her with a pointed finger in her direction, Cordelia thought for a moment remembering the agreement with Stefan about not telling anyone but Damon knew, why couldn't Caroline?
With a dreamy sigh, Cordelia walked over to the bed and fell back against it. "Stefan..." Cordelia breathed out making Caroline's eyes widen, a large grin appearing on her face as she jumped up and squealed. "I knew it!" Caroline cheered, "The moment I heard about Stefan and Elena breaking up, I knew he'd realise that you were right there in front of him the entire time! She was messing with his head and now he sees the one meant for him!"
Cordelia sat up and looked at her older twin who was bouncing about in pure happiness, all she had ever wanted for Cordelia since Penelope was for the girl to move on and find the spark once again. "It's nothing official, Buttercup. It's, uh, a friends with benefits agreement until he is certain that Elena isn't what he truly wants," Cordelia expressed with a determined nod of her head. "Who cares what Elena thinks!? She's already got a thing for Damon, we all can see it and he's in love with her. Once Elena has one heroic encounter with Damon, she'll be all over him instead," Caroline responded to her twin, the younger Forbes still wasn't sure.
"Bubbles?" Caroline's voice softened as she sat next to Cordelia. "I'm not stupid, Care. Stefan will go back to Elena, I know he will. Once the desire of blood fades, he'll be back on her doorstep," Cordelia told her before standing up, "So maybe it's stupid or selfish to have a piece of Stefan while I can but he will go back to Elena. That's pretty much to be expected." Before Caroline could argue for Cordelia to fight for him, the younger Forbes grabbed some clothes and headed into the bathroom, locking the door behind her. With the high of the hook up gone, Cordelia felt this heavy pit that told her that her words were right; at least she had right now because tomorrow wouldn't be so kind.

Cordelia walked into the classroom where Alaric, Stefan, Damon and Elena all stood together with looks of concern on their faces. "Okay, what is this about?" Cordelia asked as she stepped up next to Damon, Stefan's eyes watching her. "Isobel showed up," Alaric spoke causing the blonde's eyes to widen. "Oh shit..." Cordelia whispered before looking at Elena, "Are you alright?" Elena nodded slightly, she wasn't expecting the soft words. "She wishes to meet with Elena," Stefan says bringing Cordelia's eyes to him, "On the condition that you join her." Cordelia furrowed her brows as she looked at everyone.
"Why in Persephone's fiery garden does Isobel want me there?" Cordelia questioned turning her gaze to Alaric who had encountered her. "She wants to meet the Starlight," Alaric said making the girl tense up, she had been referring to herself as a powerful witch to protect herself and now here it was, the truth. "When are we meeting her?" Cordelia asked Elena with a serious tone. "Not happening," Damon spoke up in regards to both females present. "Not your choice, Dames," Cordelia defended before looking at Elena, "I'm in if you are." Damon grabbed her arm and turned her to him, "We don't know her intentions, Lia."
Cordelia's eyes went white, "And she doesn't know mine. But no matter her intent, Elena deserves a chance to meet her birth mother. Even if she turns out to be a disappointment." Damon stepped back as Stefan moved towards her, "Are you sure?" Cordelia sighed, "It's Elena's choice." Elena, not expecting that, nodded her head, "Let's do it." Cordelia motioned to Elena with a small smile, "See, she wants to do it. I'll look out for her and she'll keep me calm so I don't rip Isobel's heart from her chest in public." Everyone looked at the blonde with wide eyes not expecting the aggression from her. "Yeah, yeah, scary Cori is present. I don't trust her but I won't do anything unless Elena tells me too," Cordelia assured them all.
Damon turned to Elena, his eyes softening as he spoke to her, "You don't have to see her if you don't want to." Stefan took immediate notice of the sensitivity Damon held towards Elena and Cordelia took notice of the look of slight confusion and uncertainty in Stefan's eyes; her point to Caroline slowly being proven. "I don't really have a choice," Elena told Damon softly, her own eyes watching him. "Besides she's threatened to go on a killing spree," Alaric added making Cordelia sigh and turn away from Stefan. "Oh! I take it that's not okay with you guys," Damon commented making Cordelia nudge him. "I want to do it. I want to meet her. If I don't, I know I'll regret it. And besides, Cordelia will be with me, I trust her," Elena told them.

Elena and Cordelia are sitting together at a table in the Mystic Grill, Stefan is standing by the pool table watching over them in case he needed to intervene. "Can you hear me?" Elena spoke softly, her eyes locking with Stefan who nodded before she continued, "Thanks for coming. I'm nervous." Stefan smiles at her while Cordelia keeps her eyes focused on her phone messaging Caroline stating: "Told you so. They'll be together again within two days." Cordelia sighed and checked her messages with Tyler, Jeremy and Bonnie. "I'm happy that you're here," Elena told Stefan before sighing and hesitantly saying, "I love you." That made Cordelia freeze as Stefan stares at Elena, his expression soft.
Isobel walked over and sat down, her eyes landing on Cordelia first causing her vampire face to react for a second before she turned to Elena almost fearful of staring into the Forbes' eyes which didn't go unnoticed by Cordelia and Stefan, Elena too distracted looking at the face of her biological mother. "Hello Elena. You look just like her, that's eerie," Isobel spoke as she let her eyes take in the familiar design of her daughter's face. "You've met Katherine?" Elena asked her while Cordelia leaned back in her seat, she didn't really know why she was there but she was going to let Elena have the spotlight until Isobel dragged her into the conversation.
"She found me after I turned. Genetic curiosity. I suppose. She would be fascinated by you, and Cordelia Forbes," Isobel replied to Elena glancing at Cordelia again. "Is that how you can walk in the day?" Elena questioned the woman while motioning to the necklace she wore. "Katherine helped me obtain it," Isobel answered her. "Who's my father?" Elena asked her. "Not important. He was a teenage waste of space," Isobel replied to her making Cordelia scoff before muttering, "He probably thought the same of you." Isobel glared at those words but didn't comment on it. "A name would be nice," Elena told her biological mother.
"It would, wouldn't it? You ask a lot of questions," Isobel pointed out in regards to Elena's natural curiosity. "Why did you compel that man to kill himself? Right after he told me to stop looking for you," Elena was clearly after answers that Cordelia was sure Isobel didn't really care to answer. "Dramatic impact. I wish it would have been more effective," Isobel said making Cordelia raise a brow, she knew where Elena's dramatics came from then. "Human life means that little to you?" Elena asked disgusted. "Means nothing to me. It's just part of being what I am," Isobel expressed which made Cordelia scoff loudly. "We know that's bullshit, you just use it as an excuse for being a horrible person," Cordelia snarked.
"Yeah, we know other vampires, that's not true," Elena agreed with Cordelia in reference to the Salvatore's. "Your little boyfriend over there by the pool table? Stefan Salvatore," Isobel replied to Elena though Cordelia caught the look the older woman sent her, "Why Stefan? Why didn't you go for Damon? Or are you enjoying them both like Katherine did?" Cordelia turned her eyes to Elena at that, admittedly, even the blonde could see the way Elena was beginning to act that way; both of them wrapped around her finger. Elena was clearly shocked by Isobel's words, even Stefan appeared to be uncomfortable as he turned his head from Elena to Cordelia, the blonde was avoiding his eyes and he knew why.
"Why did you want to meet me? Meet Cordelia? Can't be just to catch up," Elena spoke next deciding it was better to learn the woman's intentions. "Because I'm curious about the both of you. But the real reason is: I want what your uncle wants. Johnathan Gilbert's invention," Isobel answered her while brushing past the real reason she wanted to meet Cordelia. "How do you know my uncle?" Elena asked while Cordelia furrowed her brows, she noticed the tension and emotions that came off of Isobel at the mention of John. 'No way,' Cordelia thought to herself. "I used to spend a lot of time here when I was younger. John had a crush on me for years. He was the first one that told me about vampires," Isobel explained to Elena confirming Cordelia's thoughts.
"So what made you want to be one?" Elena asked her, Cordelia leaning forward intrigued about that too. "It's a very long list of reasons, Elena. All of which I'm sure you've thought about," Isobel answered her with a breath of irritation, she clearly didn't care for the questions which just showed how little she seemed to truly care. "No," Elena replied. "That's your first lie. It's inevitable, you're going to get old, Stefan won't," Isobel told her before looking at Cordelia, "Forever doesn't last very long when you're human." Cordelia scoffed, "I'm barely a Starlight, thinking about immortality seems a little too soon for me." Isobel smirked at that, "You may want to rethink that. Immortality might be the only choice."
"Choice for what?" Cordelia asked with a raised brow. "For what comes next," Isobel replied vaguely, the look was enough to tell Cordelia that she wouldn't be saying anything more. "I'm sorry but I don't have what you're looking for," Elena told Isobel before getting up, Isobel catches her arm and forces her to sit down. Cordelia reached over and grabbed Isobel's wrist tight in her hand, her eyes flickering between the green and pure white as a warning. Isobel let off her grip of Elena's arm, the Gilbert girl turned to watch Cordelia grateful to her protective action, considering they were never friends, she was shocked to see her look out for her.
"Let's get one thing straight, Isobel. The only reason I haven't ripped your heart out is because Elena wanted to meet you, I suggest you keep your hands to yourself," Cordelia warned in a low tone, the sound of Isobel's wrist snapping was heard by Stefan. Cordelia let go of Isobel's wrist, the woman hiding it from view as it healed, the blonde smiling sweetly in response to the glare she received from Isobel. "I want the invention," Isobel told them. "I don't have it, neither does Cordelia," Elena replied to her. "I know that but Damon does and you're going to get it for me," Isobel told Elena specifically. "He's not going to give it to me," Elena responded to her while Cordelia sighed, the more Elena denied Damon's feelings for her, the worse it'll get.
"Then the blood will be on your hands," Isobel taunted before standing up, "It was nice meeting you Elena." She turned her head to Cordelia, "And I wish you all the best, Cordelia. From what I have heard, you won't like what happens next." The blonde rolled her eyes, "Just leave. You're unwanted." Elena begins to cry, the woman she had previously desired to meet had turned out to be a massive disappointment; a monster. Cordelia stood up and moved as Stefan walked towards the two of them. Bonnie showed up and looked between Elena and Stefan before leaving bringing more tears to Elena's eyes, Stefan wraps her into a hug while Cordelia slips out.

Cordelia sat on the edge of the Quarry, the cloudy sky covering the moon from shining on her as she stared blankly into the distance. She picked up a rock and threw it over the edge into the water below before pulling her knees to her chest and resting her head on them. So much had happened in such little time that Cordelia Forbes was conflicted. Her life had changed on the night of the Comet and now she felt so lost between what she needed to do and what she wanted. She needed more answers about herself as a Starlight and wanted someone to teach her everything to make it all easier.
She wanted Stefan to be with her, but she needed to let him be with Elena because he loves her and Cordelia was just something fun while he was on his relapse but he had told her he was back to feeding on animals with no desire for blood again. She needed to protect the ones she cared about, she wanted them to be safe through whatever comes next. She needed Nik, she wanted Nik. Every dream she has of him made her desire him more, every shared moment in those peaceful nights showed that he worshipped her and no other woman. She needed that, she wanted that. But Isobel's words haunted her, what the hell was coming next?

In the town square, Elena is waiting for Isobel after Bonnie had removed the spell from the Gilbert invention that was revealed to be a weapon. Isobel arrives behind her, "Where is the device?" Elena turned around to look at her, "Where is my brother?" She glared at the woman as she replied, "This isn't a negotiation. Where is the invention?" Elena repeated her question as she stepped closer threateningly. "Do you really think that I came alone?" Isobel asked her as Frank and Cherie, her minions, arrives behind her. "Did you really think that I came alone?" Elena asked as Stefan and Damon arrived behind her, Cordelia walking up between them with a harsh glare set on her face.
"For God sakes, call home," Isobel told her with an eye roll, Cordelia pulled out her phone and called Jeremy. "Hey Cornflower," Jeremy greeted making Cordelia let out a breath. "Hey Jeremy, are you okay?" Cordelia asked him. "Yeah, Uncle John bumped his head. It was an accident," Jeremy answered her, she knew what that really meant. "We're all laughing," Jenna called out to the phone making Cordelia laugh. "But yeah, I'm okay," Jeremy assured his best friend. "Elena and I will be there soon," Cordelia told him. "Alright, talk then," Jeremy said before hanging up the phone, Cordelia nodding to Elena. "You were never gonna hurt him," Elena said.
"No, I was going to kill him. Don't look for any redeeming qualities in me. I don't have any," Isobel told her while Cordelia scoffed. "You wouldn't have killed him because you knew I would come after you and I bet I'm scarier than Katherine," Cordelia said to the woman who swallowed slowly and stood defiantly but her eyes told a different story as they flashed with fear. "But you took a risk with Damon. How did you know that he was gonna give it to me?" Elena asked her making Cordelia sigh while Isobel smirked. "Because he's in love with you," Isobel responded to her. Damon looked at Stefan with an uncomfortable expression, Stefan appeared to be upset while Elena gives the device over to Isobel ignoring the words.
"Thank you," Elena said after a long pause. "For what?" Isobel asked her. "For being such a monumental disappointment. It keeps the memory of my real mother perfectly intact," Elena answered her, a flash of hurt in Isobel's eyes was spotted by Cordelia before it was covered by complete indifference. "Goodbye, Elena," Isobel spoke, "As long as you have a Salvatore on each arm, you're doomed. Katherine was smart. She got out, but we all know that you're not Katherine." Isobel turned to leave before she stopped, "And we all know that Stefan isn't all in it with you, not as long as Cordelia exists. Isn't that right, Cordelia? Does he know? Does Elena?" Cordelia stepped forward threateningly, "Shut. Up." Isobel smirked before leaving them behind.

Cordelia Forbes' nightmare, Founders' Day. The one day of the year where Caroline would force her to participate in the days events however, the agreement meant she didn't have to join the events that happen prior to the official day. Despite their temporary team up ─ if you could call it that ─ Elena had became more distant with Cordelia after Isobel's words followed by Stefan admitting to him and Cordelia hooking up the night he and Elena broke up. And as Cordelia had predicted ─ much to Caroline's angered dismay ─ Elena and Stefan were indeed back together like nothing had changed between them; even Damon was especially pissed with Stefan for toying with Cordelia.
But with the Founders' Day event and the concerns about the Supernatural drama, Cordelia was able to push the pain into the back of her mind like it was nothing but a speck of dirt she could brush under the rug. She was still feeling on edge having heard nothing from Omari since their first encounter but she assumed he was waiting to watch the chaos as he said he would. On top of that, she had to deal with the snarky attitude Caroline had recently given their mother for reasons the younger Forbes didn't know about purely because of her own distractions. However, none of that mattered today, only the event did.
Which is why, Cordelia was currently standing in front of her standing mirror looking at her reflection of the 1864 dress that she was wearing. The dress was a light blue in colour, the skirt puffed out like any normal 1860s dress and the bodice was a tight fit that still allowed her to breath normally, it was a fairly bland design other than the stars she stitched into the bodice the night before, they began under her left armpit and follow the crevice underneath her breast before swirling down the middle until it reached her right hip where the skirt puffed out. She had curled her hair and pinned half of it up, leaving two strands on either side of her face.
"Oh wow..." Jeremy's voice was heard and she turned to look at him with a small smile. "So?" Cordelia asked her best friend, he smiled softly at her. "You know, if I didn't see you as my best friend, I'd have the biggest crush on you," Jeremy told her making the girl giggle, though he saw the misty tears in her eyes. "Hey, I know..." Jeremy assured her as he walked up to her, he pulled her into a hug as she tried to hold back the tears. "It hurts but it'll be easier... you deserve better anyway," Jeremy whispered before pulling back and smiling, "So let's show them what Cordelia Forbes is made of. Then we'll come back here and binge watch Supernatural or Hart of Dixie." Cordelia sniffled and nodded her head, linking her arm with his.

Stefan stands alone in the crowd of people preparing for Founders' Day when Damon approached him with his usual smirk. "Look at you, all retro," Damon commented looking at Stefan in his 1864 clothing, as he and Elena would be standing on the float together. "What are you doing here?" Stefan asked his older brother, their already rocky bond was on stormy shores between the reveal of Damon's love for Elena and Stefan 'using' Cordelia. "Why wouldn't I be here? Bonnie deactivated the Gilbert invention, Isobel is gone and it's Founders' Day!" Damon told him, "I'm here to eat cotton candy and steal your girl." Stefan scoffed at his words.
"Don't start with me, Damon," Stefan snapped back. "Oh, you started this Stefan, with that whole 'I'm insecure, leave Elena alone' speech. I'm enjoying this especially after you used my best friend," Damon gritted his teeth saying the last part. "As long as you heard it," Stefan replied in reference to the speech while ignoring the comment about Cordelia, he still felt guilty in his heart for that but he knew Cordelia would understand; her words in their 'agreement' proved that surely. "What? You have no sense of humour, Stefan," Damon teased. "Actually, I have no sense of 'Damon humour'," Stefan corrected his older brother.
"'Damon humour'...Hey look, I get it, I get it. I'm the better, hotter, superior choice and you're scared, now that Katherine is out of the picture, that I'm gonna turn all my attention to Elena. But don't worry, Elena is not Katherine," Damon expressed to his little brother. "You're right, she's not," Stefan responded before they turned to see Elena Gilbert approaching them. In her 1864 dress, she looks strikingly like Katherine especially as she smirks their way and curtsies. Cordelia approached the crowd with Jeremy on her arm, Tyler smirked as he approached them and he looked her up and down. "You look hot, Cori," Tyler complimented making the blonde laugh, Damon and Stefan looking towards her.
She looked stunning in the 1864 dress, the sky blue seemed to match her pale tone and bright green eyes perfectly. "There's my best friend," Damon commented before making his way towards her, Stefan swallowed as the guilt seeped back into his chest as the blonde didn't turn his way. "You look ravishing, Lia," Damon complimented as he reached for her hand and kissed her knuckles making Cordelia laugh. "Thank you, Dames," Cordelia replied before looking around until her eyes landed on Stefan and Elena, the Gilbert girl looked completely identical to Katherine in her cream and green dress. "Woah," Cordelia commented causing Damon to agree, the two shared a look before tuning back into the conversation with Jeremy and Tyler.
After doing her part on the float with Caroline, Elena and their escorts, Cordelia allowed Caroline to capture some photos of her in the dress before she managed to escape the whole thing and change into her modern blue dress with stars sewn into it along with her Chuck Taylors. She made her way out into the crowd preparing for the fireworks, she felt a strange pit in her stomach as she looked around; something seemed off. She spotted Bonnie and made her way over, grabbing her arm and pulling her to the side. "I need you to be honest with me, Bonnie, you did de-spell the compass right?" Cordelia asked the Bennett witch. "I'm so--" Bonnie was cut off when a high pitched sound exploded through Cordelia's head.
The Starlight fell to her knees as she cupped her head trying to block out the pain in her head, millions of screams seemed to echo through her mind like a Banshee absorbing the screams of the dead. Nothing Bonnie said broke past the loud sound that took out her senses but Bonnie's eyes widened when she spotted the blood that leaked from the younger Forbes' ears and eyes almost like the weapon was killing her. Jeremy and Bonnie worked together to get Cordelia away from the crowd once the younger Gilbert informed Bonnie that the deputy's were collecting anyone affected, they wouldn't risk them mistaking Cordelia as a vampire.
"It's affecting her too?" Alaric asked as Jeremy managed to sit Cordelia down, her brow was sweaty and her pale tone was concerning. "It's killing her," Jeremy told him as Alaric knelt in front of the blonde and used his sleeve to wipe the sweat from her brow. "She's bleeding from her ears and eyes," Elena pointed out fearfully. Stefan ─ despite the pain he was in ─ was watching frozen as Cordelia's breathing became shallow. The pitch stops and immediately afterwards, Cordelia screams out causing Jeremy, Stefan, Elena, Alaric and Bonnie to cover their ears. "CAROLINE!" Cordelia falls back against the wall, Alaric catching her as Bonnie tells Stefan about Damon.
"I've got her," Alaric told them as he picked Cordelia up into his arms, "Help Damon and bring him back to the Boarding House." Jeremy and Alaric left the others to help Damon, the former held Cordelia close once they were in the car; he had never expected the compass to affect her so badly. "She will be okay, right?" Jeremy asked Alaric who looked up into the rearview mirror, his green eyes landing on the blonde first before looking at Jeremy. "Yeah, she'll be fine, Jeremy. She's a fighter," Alaric assured the boy before looking out the window, he wasn't so sure seeing her condition.

If Liz Forbes believed in a God, she would beg and plead right now for them to be merciful on her as she stood between two separate rooms in the hospital. The one in front of her held her eldest daughter, the car accident she had been in resulted in internal bleeding but the doctors weren't sure she'd survive the night. And in the room behind her held her youngest daughter who seemed to have a bleed on the brain, the doctors assumed she had knocked her head and the injury left unattended resulted in her current condition. Elizabeth Forbes could not lose her daughters, they were all she had, all she worked her hardest for.
Damon made his way down the corridor, he locked eyes with Liz who shook her head and began crying. Damon quickly scooped the woman into his arms allowing her to break under the weight she suddenly had crashing down on her, in one night she could lose both of her daughters. Tyler and Matt sat together a short distance away, their minds haywire about what had happened along with the deep pit in Tyler's stomach. Jeremy and Alaric sat in opposite seats to the boys, the older man had his head in his hands thinking about the sweet Forbes sisters who always bought a smile to everyone's faces; especially Cordelia who had become someone he cared for in the short time he had been around.
Jeremy Gilbert felt frozen. His best friend, the rumoured Starlight could die in the next twenty-four hours because of his uncle's actions. He hated John Gilbert. He hated the stupid compass. He hated the magic. He hated that he felt completely useless. Elena and Stefan showed up to the Hospital after John was attacked, the two had shown up in the hall looking at everyone before their eyes landed on Liz who was breaking down in Damon's arms, the older Salvatore comforting her in the best way her could. Damon's eyes locked with Elena's, they softened slightly before he looked at Stefan and slightly shook his head making Stefan stumble slightly. No one knew if the Forbes twins would make it through the night.

*Sniffles*... That's the finale of season one done.
Oh wow... this chapter was a roller-coaster ride and if you felt that, I did it right.
Stefan just cannot make up his mind.
But let's be a little fair to Stefan; stupid doppelganger curse, stupid magic interference ;)
Do tell me, what are your thoughts or theories?
Katherine is coming...
See you in the next act!
