Cordelia stood at her locker with Tyler leaning against the one next to her, she was currently checking on the light bruise on his jaw; she knew exactly who did it. "With the animal attacks in town, it'd be a great opportunity," Cordelia told Tyler who chuckled lightly. "Thanks, Cori. But not worth the effort," Tyler replied to her before spotting two unlikely people walking down the corridor together. "Is that Caroline and Matt?" Tyler asked. Cordelia turned her head to see her twin and Matt Donovan walking together, smiling and laughing. "Yeah, they've been hanging out. I mean, it sucks for Sam but oh well," Cordelia told Tyler who laughed. "Sam's had a thing for Caroline for years and hasn't done anything," Tyler responded to her.
"Oh, trust me, I know. But he's adamant that the time will come when it's supposed to," Cordelia told Tyler who simply laughed with an eye roll. "Sounds like Sam," Tyler replied to her as he looked over to see Elena and Bonnie walking down the opposite end, "Would you look at that." Cordelia followed his gaze and winced, she shook her head and looked at Tyler, the two shared a laugh knowing that Elena may act indifferent but the girl wouldn't be happy about her recent ex getting close to Caroline. "That's their issue... which I'm sure I will hear all about from Caroline once Elena confronts her or indirectly upsets her," Cordelia said to Tyler as she closed her locker and adjusted her bag. "Valid point, Cori," Tyler responded before the two walked down the corridor talking.

Cordelia was walking down the hallway after ditching math as she didn't want to deal with the teacher when someone grabbed her arm and dragged her into an empty classroom, she looked up with pure white eyes only to relax seeing Stefan and Damon standing there. "What the hell is wrong with you two?" Cordelia asked them as she crossed her arms, "Next time, I'm giving both of you some nice headaches." Damon smirked while Stefan watched her with an amused expression, she furrowed her brows noticing the air between the brothers wasn't as tense as what it used to be. "Since when are you two so chummy?" Cordelia asked with a smirk.
"We may have taken in your words about brotherly bonds," Damon spoke knowing she would let this fed her ego. "And Lexi had a few things to say as well," Stefan added before shaking his head, "But that's not why we are here." Cordelia nodded but was silently enjoying the small victory of the start of the rebuilding the bond between the brothers. "So what is up?" Cordelia asked them. "A girl was found dead, vampire attack," Damon summarised. "But... you've been behaving?" Cordelia questioned confused. "Yes, I have. Which means we have a new vampire in town," Damon informed her. "Great... How do we locate this one?" Cordelia asked them.
"No, no, no. You are not getting involved in this. This is us warning you to be careful but that is it," Stefan told her with a stern expression. Cordelia and Damon shared a look before they both laughed leaving Stefan unamused. "You could get hurt," Stefan told her. "Stef, I'm a literal witch," Cordelia reminded him with a smirk, "And I've been doing magic lessons with Grams. I'm all good to help." Damon smirked and rested his arm around her shoulders, "And we shall do that. Let's leave boring Stefan here, shall we?" Cordelia nodded and allowed Damon to lead her out of the classroom leaving Stefan there with an annoyed expression.

Cordelia walked with the vampire compass in her free hand, her phone held against her hand as she was on call to Damon. "Alright, it's finally stopped. I'm sure this is the location," Cordelia assured him. Suddenly, Damon appears beside Cordelia and she turns around to face him with a smile on her face. "You can give me that," Damon held his hand out. "What's the point of a vampire holding on to the thing that spins out of control in his own hands?" Cordelia asked as she placed into onto his palm. "It's safer that way," Damon told her and she rolled her eyes before turning to walk inside the building, Damon following behind her.
Damon looks around as he walks deeper into the warehouse with Cordelia trailing behind him. Suddenly, Logan Fell shoots Damon multiple times. Damon groans in pain and falls on his knees to the floor and before Cordelia could move to harm Logan, he raised the gun and fired a single shot into her stomach. Logan approaches them as Damon tries to crawl to Cordelia, the blonde gasping for air as she applied pressure to her own wound. "I have tons of these wood bullets, so nothing funky," Logan warned Damon before kneeling by Cordelia, he breathed in the scent of her blood and smiled as his eyes reacted to it. "Oh so sweet..." Logan growled before he swiped his fingers through the blood and consumed a small dose.
"Leave her alone," Damon breathed out painfully. "How do you stand so close to her, Damon? From the moment I had woken into transition, it's like everything points to her and I cannot understand it but a simple taste won't hurt," Logan moved to pull Cordelia closer and Damon used his own strength to tackle the vampire away from her. The two struggled against each other as Cordelia pulled herself away, her body burning in pain as she closed her eyes. And across the world, a pinch of pain shocked through a man causing him to stumble on his feet, his companion steadied him and the two shared a knowing look.

"You don't wanna do this, trust me," Damon warned Logan, their fight had come to an end when Logan threatened to shoot Cordelia in the head. Logan turned from taping Cordelia's hands together, she was barely able to apply pressure to her wound and she was pale and sweaty from the pain and blood loss. "That's what you think, Damon," Logan replied before moving closer to the vampire, "You made me like this." Cordelia leaned her head back against the wall, she was watching the two trying her best to keep her eyes open. "I killed you. I didn't turn you," Damon gritted out, his body in pain from his own bullets.
Damon pries a bullet from his chest while Logan holds up one of the wooden bullets and examines it, "See I know what you and your brother are. I've been watching the two of you. I knew you'd show up here and I'm glad you did because I have some questions and she has some limited time." Damon looked over at Cordelia, he knew enough to know that she was dying and that spurred fear in him; he couldn't lose the one person who accepted him and helped him rather than push him away. "Me first. Who turned you?" Damon asked needing answers as he pried another bullet out. Cordelia coughed and groaned from the movement, she couldn't heal without removing the bullet lodged in her stomach.
"How should I know?" Logan asked with a glare, "Last thing I remember is I'm about to stake your brother and then you grabbed me. That's it!" Logan chuckled mockingly to himself, "Until I wake up in the ground behind a used car dealership on highway four. Somebody buried me." Damon rolled his eyes playing off his unbothered persona but his glances to Cordelia didn't go unnoticed by Logan. "It happens," Damon taunted as he pried a bullet out of his leg, groaning from the pain. "You biy me," Logan argued making Cordelia laugh. "Oh my God, for a Fell, you are ridiculously stupid!" Damon smirked at her words, she was smirking as Logan glared at her.
"You have to have Vampire blood in your system when you die. I didn't do that. Some other Vampire found you, gave you their blood," Damon explained to Logan, the newly turned Vampire turned away and began pacing as Damon slid his way over to Cordelia, he frowned at her state. "I'm okay, Dames..." Cordelia whispered but he knew better than that, she wouldn't be okay for long. "Who?" Logan questioned Damon. "That's what we want to know," Damon replied to him. "Dude, it's not like the welcome wagon was waiting with a bundt cake and a handbook. It's been a learn as you go process," Logan snapped out at them.
"You know, one minute, I'm a small town on the rise news guy and next thing I know, I can't get into my house because my foot won't go through the door," Logan continued in irritation, Cordelia furrowed her brows in confusion. "You have to be invited in," Damon informed him as he pried another bullet out. "I know. I live alone," Logan growled at him. "Ah, that sucks," Damon chuckled. "So now, I am at the Ramada watching pay per view all day, eating everything in sight, including housekeeping," Logan expressed to Damon and Cordelia, the blonde frowned at that knowledge.
"It could be worse," Damon told him with an uninterested tone. "All I can think about is blood and killing people. I can't stop killing people. I keep killing and I like it. I'm conflicted," Logan laughed manically as he spoke making Cordelia uncomfortable. "Welcome to the club," Damon responded to him before sitting up more, "Wait a minute. Cops only found one body." Logan shrugged at that, "I left one. I was tired. But I've been hiding the rest of the bodies. They're right back there." Cordelia cringed at that, her heart clenching in pain for all of the lost lives. "You're the real monster, huh?" Cordelia asked with a growl. "They're just piling up!" Logan replied as he noticed the pool of blood surrounding Cordelia.

Meanwhile, Tyler and Jeremy had been waiting for Cordelia to show up to the Career Fair, she had told them she'd hang out with them as they were currently forming a new friendship now that Vicki was gone. "Where is she?" Tyler asked Jeremy, the two were uneasy. "Caroline!" Tyler called out spotting the blonde with her eyes focused on Elena and Matt talking. The older Forbes turned her head to Tyler and walked over to him despite Matt and Elena looking over at them, neither knew why Tyler wanted the blonde's attention and just assumed it was connected to Cordelia. "What's up?" Caroline asked the two males once she reached them.
"Have you heard from Cori?" Tyler asked Caroline who shrugged. "Last I heard she was hanging out with Damon," Caroline replied to him with a frown noticing the worried looks on both teens faces. "What is it?" Caroline asked them as Stefan looked away from Elena and listened to the two. "It's just... a weird feeling," Tyler responded to her with a frown. "Like what?" Jeremy asked him with furrowed brows. "Like -- It feels like dread... and... death," Tyler told them before shaking his head, "I'm probably just worried... I'm gonna call Cori and look around, maybe she was caught up." Caroline and Jeremy watched Tyler walk away, both were worried too.

"
Why am I so overly emotional? All I can think about is my ex-girlfriend. I wanna be with her and bite her and stuff," Logan whined to the two, Cordelia now struggling to keep her eyes open due to blood loss. "Well, you probably love her. Anything you felt before will be magnified now. You're gonna have to learn how to control that," Damon replied to him as he finally managed to sit up next to Cordelia. "What about walking in the sun? I'm a morning person. You can walk in the sun which, by the way, is pretty cool," Logan said causing Damon to flex his hand with the daylight ring on it and hides it with his other hand without Logan.
"The council will never suspect you. That's not in the journals," Logan continued, he was clearly irritated and annoyed. "The journals?" Damon asked. "Yeah, the Founding Fathers, they passed down journals to their kids. Come on man, you gotta tell me. How can you walk around in the sun?" Logan asked again. "Who turned you?" Damon deflected, he wouldn't give Logan the ability to walk in the daylight. "How do you walk in the sun?" Logan gritted out angrily. "Who turned you?" Damon doubled down with his own anger. "You know, I've been really nice so far but I will kill you and her," Logan threatened.
Logan stands up from his crouched position and points the gun at Damon. "Then you'll never know," Damon said as he stood up, "You're not answering my question." Logan glared harshly before shouting, "You first!" Damon smirked to hide his fear, "It seems we're at a bit of an impasse then, doesn't it?" Logan sneered at him, "I have things to do, people to kill. Guess I'll be needing a head start." Logan shoots Damon a couple of times, Damon groans and falls to the floor while Logan exits the warehouse. Ignoring his own pain, Damon moved towards Cordelia whose eyes were half-lidded and her breathing was shallow.
"I'm so sorry," Damon whispered before digging his fingers into Cordelia's bullet wound causing her to scream out in pain from the sudden action. The building seemed to shake from her scream, the painful wail had echoed through Mystic Falls causing Stefan to stumble and press his hand to his chest in pain. "Stefan!?" Elena called as she moved towards him, she placed her hand on his shoulder but he pulled back and leaned against the wall taking in breaths as the pain subsided. "Cordelia..." Stefan breathed out, he looked up and noticed Tyler in the distance with a panicked look as the teenager rushed out of the school.
With the wooden bullet removed, Damon fed Cordelia his blood and quickly pried the bullets from his own body so he could successfully rush Cordelia out of the warehouse and back to the Salvatore Boarding House. Once he reached his home, he lied the blonde into his bed feeling relieved at the fact her breathing had returned to normal and she had colour come back to her skin. He pulled off the sweater she was wearing but left her in the tank top as a wish to respect her privacy, checking the wound to see it sealed over. Damon hesitated to leave but knew Logan was still out there and needed to be stopped.
He called Stefan and informed him of what had happened including Cordelia's condition, Stefan had fought the urge to rush into the school and rip Logan's head off in the middle of the crowd; the knowledge that Cordelia was okay physically was the only reason he hadn't. Logan's target had turned from Cordelia to Caroline, he had taken the older Forbes only to encounter the Salvatore brothers. Stefan had thrown a few punches into Logan Fell before Damon shot the newly turned Vampire with wooden bullets of his own. Stefan grabs Caroline while Damon deals with Logan however, Damon allowed Logan to escape for information about how to get into the tomb.
But Damon did not get the answers he was searching for as Alaric Saltzman had showed up to the warehouse staking Logan and glaring at the Vampire as he died. And so he lost his only other way into the tomb, Damon knew that Cordelia was right and he should give up on Katherine but he needed answers. It wasn't just Katherine he knew in 1864, there was another that he needed to find, someone who would have the answers he needed to help Cordelia; someone he was sure was connected to the Forbes girl in a way that would help them all. Damon would find a way into that tomb, he needed to save her before it got too dangerous; before the Starlight lost any and all control.
