this is for when characters are in an established relationship! many of the kisses on the last chapter also work for this. i'm also in love with established relationships, because omfg the amount of cuteness you can shove in there is incredible.

SWEET / SOFT KISSES.   →      *   .    &

.     &     ━     brief kisses    →   before work, school, between classes, or when they've just woken up. mundane kisses are important !

.     &     ━     sleepy bed kisses    →   just in bed and in love, and person A just kisses person B softly on the mouth. sleepy neck kisses are cute too! .

.     &     ━     sick kisses    →   bonus points if the non-sick person is like "ew wtf get off me, now i'm going to be sick too" .

.     &     ━     kisses while laying on the other person's chest    →   person A is laying on person B's chest (maybe they're watching a movie, reading a book, listening to music, etc.) and person A just smiles softly and leans over and kisses B .

.     &     ━     beach kisses .

.     &     ━     drunk kisses    →   with consent, obviously. they're in a relationship and they're just laughing and all silly while kissing as they're drunk because they're idiots .

.     &     ━     mistletoe kisses .

.     &     ━     collar kiss    →   person A pulling in person B by the shirt / collar / tie for a kiss. can be soft or steamy, you decide .

.     &     ━     kisses beneath the bleachers at school .

.     &     ━     kisses after exchanging cigarettes    →   cigarettes are gross, but this is good if it's a story set in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s, where majority of people smoked .

.     &     ━     kisses in the forest    →   because i'm a nature hoe. up against a tree, under some pretty branches, in a lake while person B holds up person A, or while lying in a flower meadow. just some cute nature stuff .

.     &     ━     those kisses where, even though they've done it a hundred times, they still make the character's heart beat fast, and they become flushed as fondness wells up inside them. they just love the other person so much .

.     &     ━     breathy kisses .

.     &     ━     throwing their arms around the other person, hugging them close and tight before kissing them    →   usually a relieved or joyful kiss .

.     &     ━     sneaking away to a corner or alley to get some secret kisses    →   this always works well with secret couples or lgbt couples who aren't supposed to be together .

.     &     ━     kissing someone before they'll blurt out something they regret .

.     &     ━     celebratory kisses .

.     &     ━     softly kissing the other person (on the lips, their hands, or their face) while they're asleep .

.     &     ━     height different kisses    →   where one person either has to stand on their tip-toes to kiss, or the other person leans down to kiss them .

.     &     ━     jealous kiss    →   when someone is flirting with person A, and person B just kisses A to show everyone that they're theirs. doesn't work on every character and can be lowkey problematic. it shouldn't be aggressive unless it's meant to be a toxic relationship or a conflict between the characters. it's cuter if it's soft !

.     &     ━     falling on the bed kisses .

.     &     ━     kissing and then dozing off, falling asleep, beside each other .

SAD / EMOTIONAL KISSES.   →      *   .    &

.     &     ━     dying kisses    →   i included this in my first kiss post, but it's important and i love angst. like that final kiss where person B is going to die, and they both know it, and maybe they're both crying or B is trying to be strong for person A, or the other way around. and A just holds person B's face and leans down and kisses them while tears are streaming down their face, because they know this is the last time they'll ever be able to do it. .

.     &     ━     crying kisses    →   again, similar to the last chapter, but it can be super soft while also in a relationship. bonus if they flutter kisses all over the crying person's face afterwards .

.     &     ━     final, selfless kiss    →   the kiss where person A decides they're going to sacrifice themselves for person B. the kiss where they're holding person B by the shirt while kissing them gently, and then pushes them back through the closing portal, back into safety. the kiss right before the take a knife for B. or the kiss before A sets out to sacrifice themselves alone, leaving B behind. just sad shit, where person A has already made the decision, and while person B was oblivious .

.     &     ━     injured kisses .

.     &     ━     goodbye kiss    →   they're never going to see each other again (or so they think), this is the last time they'll ever kiss. it's goodbye .

.     &     ━     nightmare kisses    →   person A wakes up from a terrible nightmare, person B is there to comfort and softly kiss them, reassuring them that they're safe and that everything is alright .

.     &     ━     kissing and then pressing their foreheads against each other    →   this can be soft, but also sad. like i don't know why i'm imagining this before a moment where they need to go off to a final battle or do something dangerous, and they just press their foreheads against each other with their eyes closed, and hold each other, because they know this might be the last time they see each other .

.     &     ━     remembering or dreaming of a kiss    →   when one of them is dead and they'll never see each other again. they return to reality, wake up, and realise as such .

.     &     ━     afterlife kisses    →   they've both died (maybe an epilogue), meet again in the afterlife, and kiss there.

.     &     ━     lying kisses    →   person B is lying about something but kisses A anyway. perhaps the secret is something that will ruin their relationship, perhaps they're about to make their sacrifice. reading them kiss while knowing that person B is lying, and person A is oblivious, always hurts .

BODYPART KISSES.   →      *   .    &

.     &     ━     forehead kisses    →   not only mouth kisses are important! like person B just kissing person A on the forehead and pulling A close against their body in comfort .

.     &     ━     kisses on the tip of the nose .

.     &     ━     fluttering someone's face with kisses    →   so cute after a kiss or a first kiss, where person B just holds person A's face and is so in love with them, and just flutters little kisses across A's face .

.     &     ━     neck kisses    →   okay, hear me out, because this doesn't have to be steamy or sexual. it can just be a cute little kiss and then a kiss on the collarbone, maybe while they cuddle, because HOW CUTE IS THAT .

.     &     ━     hand kisses    →   this does not only have to be in a historical fic. it can be just a cute casual thing while they're sitting on their bed or holding hands. for example, in my fic, sar kisses steve's knuckles really innocently while they're just cuddling .

.     &     ━     blowing kisses    →   this isn't technically a kiss, but i don't care because it's so cute. especially as a playful, teasing action !

.     &     ━     a kiss placed on the closed eyelid or eyelids .

.     &     ━     kiss on the shoulder    →   a quick kiss on the shoulder. works well if person A is hugging person B from behind, and A kisses the top edge of their shoulder (or shoulder-blade) from behind because that's so cute .

.     &     ━     kissing scars    →   either shortly after they've healed, or already-established ones. if they're a symbol of trauma, it could be very comforting .

.     &     ━     kissing wounds    →   recent wounds that perhaps the other person feels guilty for, or perhaps not. think of skinning your knees falling while roller-blading and the other person kissing them softly .

.     &     ━     palm kissing .

.     &     ━     when person A's face is scrunched up and person B kisses their lips, nose, forehead or cheeks .

.     &     ━     kisses on the cheek from behind    →   where person A is in person B's lap facing the other way, and B leans around to kiss A's cheek. cute af in a group setting .

.     &     ━     regular cheek kisses .

.     &     ━     chin kisses .

CUTE KISSING DETAILS.   →      *   .    &

.     &     ━     tracing the other person's lip with their finger after a kiss because they're just enamoured with them .

.     &     ━     when people furrow their eyebrows while kissing passionately .

.     &     ━     height difference, it's important .

.     &     ━     biting lips .

.     &     ━     if someone's a good kisser, their partner might be a little stunned or glazed-eyes after having kissed them .

.     &     ━     kissing someone's lips and then kissing all over their face .

.     &     ━     breaking the kiss to say something, but staying so close that they're murmuring against each other's mouths .

.     &     ━     where they place their hands    →   hips, waist, butt, small of their back, neck, jaw, face, hair, chin, etc .

.     &     ━      those small enamoured looks after they finish kissing    →   that soft expression in their eyes, their parted (perhaps gently upturned) lips and the relaxedness of their face .

.     &     ━      a kiss ending the final part of the story or piece of writing .

those are all i can think of right now but they're all super cute! add these in your stories (depending on your characters and their relationships) to make your readers adore their ship and love their relationship and their journey. ALSO you can put some of the bodypart kisses before they even get together, to build up to the point. i'm going to later be posting a chapter of how to write characters in love, so look forward to that!
