four.

WITH THEIR NEWFOUND knowledge, Evan and Angelica made missing posters and started to post them all over the town. After Melissa told her story, Evan and Angelica suggested that she call into the station and told her that they would create and distribute missing posters all over town. They also advised her to get some rest as she looked like she hadn't slept in days, even if it had only been a matter of twenty-four hours. It had been more than that now, but the next twenty-four would be quite the feat for Keira's mother as the station wasn't going to start searching for her until a day after she called. They wanted to leave a twenty-four hour wait time in case Keira came home in that time, but Melissa wasn't really sure that was going to happen.

As Evan and Angelica entered Dorothea's Place to put signs up in the windows and inside of the restaurant, Willow crossed their path, catching them before she passed.

"Hey guys," Willow greeted them with a smile, "Would you like your usual today?"

Angelica offered her a quick small smile and shook her head, "Actually-"

She tried to explain that her and Evan would not be sitting down that day as they had places to be, but she was interrupted by Willow and her curiosity.

"I'm sorry," Willow apologized once she realized that she rudely cut off her friend. As Angelica shook it off and signaled for her to continue, she did, motioning to the papers in Angelica's hands, "What've you got there?"

Evan and Angelica exchanged the same 'should-I-tell-her-or-should-you' look that they gave each other the day before, having a silent conversation with their eyes. The difference between that day and the day before, though, was the fact that they had to be the ones to deliver the bad news. It was different twenty-four hours ago, when they were positive that Keira was just sick, but now that she had a chance of not being okay, it was a totally different story.

After a long moment of uncomfortable silence, Evan spoke, "They're missing papers."

Angelica held her breath as Willow tilted her head to the side, her brows furrowed, "For who?"

Evan made an unintelligible noise, apparently trying to get words out that wouldn't come out. Angelica noticed this and filled in for him, her heart crushing as she spoke the words aloud.

"Keira," Angelica told Willow,"She's missing."

The smile was instantly wiped off of Willow's face, "She's... missing?"

A worried look captured her usually shining pale green eyes and a solemn look overtook her features. She looked so fragile, almost as if she was going to cry. The sight was hard to watch - Angelica and Evan cared about her and knew how much she cared about each one of them, and watching her bright spirits dim was expected, but hard to witness.

Angelica nodded, looking down at the smiling Keira in the photo on the missing flyers. It was crushing news, but she had to focus on the positives. She couldn't be mad at Melissa for how she acted to her daughter, but there was that annoying prick at the back of her head again, telling her that she should. It was life, and she'd just hold herself back dwelling on the fact that her best friend might not return from wherever she ran.

After a moment of silence in which Evan observed the pained look on Willow's face and Willow took in the information given, Willow managed to fight her sisterly instincts and just speak instead of act.

"Why?" Willow questioned, "How?"

A feeling as though a rock had settled in Willow's chest had overtaken her. She couldn't process the information right - Keira. Missing? Things like that didn't happen in Moorwood, and the reason why she ran - or whatever happened - better have been good. A confusing web of thoughts and feelings was weaving itself in Willow's head, and with each moment that passed, she became more and more confused.

Evan decided to sugar coated the story, speaking before Angelica could and leaving out some of the parts so that Willow wouldn't lash out on her aunt because of how much she cared for her cousin.

"She got into a fight with her mom and ran out of the house," Evan explained, leaving Willow to shake her head.

As Angelica listened to Evans sentence, she realized why he explained it the way he did. That was a smart move on his part, and she silently thanked him.

"Must've been serious then," Willow commented, a thoughtful spark in her eyes, "Are there people looking for her?"

Angelica shifted uncomfortably, not wanting to answer that question. Thankfully, Evan got this message and explained it for her.

"Not yet," He sighed, obviously crushing Willow even more. Her opinion and feelings about those two words were written all over her face, "Not until tomorrow. Deputy Howard told her they had to leave a gap in case she wasn't missing, that she just ran and would come back soon."

"Oh," Willow responded, "Well, I hope she does come back," She paused for a second, looking over her shoulder and sighing, "Alright guys, I'll leave you to it. You can put as many posters up in here as you need to, but I really have to get back to work."

She offered an apologetic smile which Angelica shook her head to.

"That's totally fine, you do that," Angelica smiled weakly, "We'll be around."

Willow nodded and walked off, leaving Angelica and Evan to their task. As they put the posters up, Angelica couldn't help but feel a little bad - Keira's face paired with the word 'MISSING' would be a constant reminder to Willow. Based on her reaction, Angelica knew Keira was already worried, and with the constant reminders, she could only hope it wouldn't get into her friends head.

Once the duo was done putting posters up at Dorothea's Place, they headed into the busier part of town. There was an outdated board with a map of the town on it, and new information always covered it up, notifying passerby. It was random articles, missing dog posters, ads for small businesses that were hiring - anything, really, but the real purpose was to notify people of random events or notices. After all, the map was conveniently located so that people walked by it almost every day.

As they approached the board, Evan caught sight of someone else coming in the opposite direction of their planned path. The figure was dressed in black - a black shirt, beanie, and dark wash jeans - and as it came closer, Evan noticed that it was the new boy, Tyler McKinnon. He looked up as he got closer, looking relieved to finally cross paths with someone.

The duo stopped by the board, and as Angelica ignored the fact that someone was coming towards them, getting ready to put the posters up, Evan nudged her with his elbow just as Tyler stopped in front of them and started talking.

"Hey, you two seem like you know your way around the town pretty well and I-" He started, but was cut off by Evan.

"We do. You're Tyler McKinnon, right? The boy that just moved into town?"

Angelica's eyes widened as she looked at her friend in disbelief. For one, he was invading the kid's privacy when he didn't even know him, and he was being highly disrespectful in doing so. She wanted to cut in, but she held herself back, seeing if it would get any worse from there.

"Yes, but I-" Tyler started, but he was cut off yet again by Evan.

"Awesome! I'm Evan," He paused then and pointed to Angelica, "And this is Angelica."

"Angel," Angelica corrected, then moved her head closer to Evan, speaking to him in a hushed voice, "Let the boy talk."

"Look," Tyler spoke after Angelica whispered to Evan, apparently getting the memo, "This is all great, but I need to know how to get to Ted's Corner Store."

"Oh," Evan piped up, "We were just headed there after we put these posters up," He motioned to the papers in Angelica's hands and went on to explain the directions.

When Tyler was on his way and the duo was pinning posters on the board, Evan was eerily silent. After finishing putting the posters on the board, it wasn't long before Evan and Angelica were headed to Ted's Corner Store to post the last of their posters in and around the shop. They started inside of Ted's, getting to work right away.

As expected, they finished quickly. Once Angelica and Evan stood on the corner, admiring their work, Angelica had a sudden urge to get slushies from inside the store. Ted's was known for having the best fountain slushies in town, and even if it was cold outside, Angelica couldn't dismiss the temptation.

"You know what?" Angelica announced, breaking the silence as she looked at Evan with a smirk, "Let's get slushies."
