CHIRON EXPLAINED, what was going on to everybody but mainly Percy, Ella didn't pay attention until the good part " ensure that we succeed " Chiron said " Ella and Annabeth " Percy then spoke up " Customarily, one waits to at least hear a name or two before choosing, Are you sure you don't wanna hear more? " Chiron explains

" Thing thing, Zeus Master bolt we need to get it back right? " Chiron nods his head " and it's going to be hard to get? "

" and if the mission required someone to push me down a flight of stairs for it to succeed,  you'd want someone who won't hesitate " Percy explains

" The quest mates shall Be Ella Grace and Annabeth Chase " Ella found herself smiling at Percy as he gave her a smile back.

" Can I have one more? " Percy asked Chiron.

ELLA TOUCHES, the tree as a way of goodbye to Thalia as Annabeth copy's the brunettes actions before they walk to the boys " She was the bravest demigod I ever knew, she fought valiantly and she met a hero's fate " Ella tells Percy overhearing a bit of their conversation.

" she met a pinecones fate " Percy said " Maybe you'll meet a fists fat- " Ella gets cut off by Annabeth " Forbidden children are always in danger even the strongest one, even Thalia, and you are not Thalia. Do exactly as We say and maybe you survive this, Are we clear?  "

" Do you guys think your in charge? " Percy asked Ella " Are we not? " She joked " Who'd you think? " Grover asked " I guess I assumed we'd do a show of hands or something. "

" Ugh I hate that word " Ella said

" What word? " Percy ask

" Assumed. " 

" THERE IS, no way this is what sacred smells like " Percy said " We're soldiers on a mission, it's not vacation " Ella told him " Thank you for clearing that up, But if this is so important why didn't Chiron spring for plane ticket? This seems low priority doesn't it?"

" He doesn't know? " Ella said " Know what? " Percy asked

" Sorry I assumed someone had told you "

" eww assumed " Ella groaned

" Tell me what? " Percy ignored Ella

" Percy, it isn't just the monsters who are going to try to stop us, You're a forbidden child , Zeus might decide to take a shot at you himself " Grover explained " The sky is his domain, we'd be serving you up on a silver platter to try to travel through it "

" Yeah no one mentioned that " Percy whined

The bus then stopped, Annabeth was sleeping, and Percy and Grover were talking " Okay, i'm gonna go get us some snacks " Ella says " I'll come with you " Percy says " No, you'll stay right there " Ella tells him

" Why? It smell terrible back here " Percy complained

" Monsters can't smell you through that, so that's where I want you " Ella tell him " I wanna vote, who thinks we should all go get to breathe fresh breath and buy our own snacks  " Percy asks only him raising his hand " There's no voting, Chips and Soda okay for you guys? "

" I don't think you should just get to decide we don't vote " Percy says " I just did " Ella says " I wanna vote on whether you get to decide we don't vote "

" Grover, please help your— "

Grover started clapping as the two stare at him " —friend? " She finished her sentence " I really don't wanna be a tiebreaker " Grover says " I have a better idea " Grover starts singing about friends being angry at each other

" Dude, what are you doing? " Percy asked

" it's the consensus song, verse two encourages us to say nice things about nice things about each other, you get a few rounds in and you'd be amazed at how disagreements just kinda of— " Grover said " — fade away "

" Chips and Soda okay for you guys? " She asked again

She received a " whatever " and a " Yes, please "

ELLA FOUND, herself starring at Candy, she wanted to befriend the guys she just didn't know how, Percy probably hated her, Percy looked like a blue person right? She grabbed tons of blue things for him, things that she knew Annabeth liked like her favorite candy and other stuff also Grover's favorite things

She mainly got Annabeth a book for the ride, Grover favorite snacks and a little toy tree for him his, Percy his blue food, and she saw a little toy trident she was worried he wouldn't like it but bought it anyways as she was checking out

she felt a monsters aura she looked and she saw one of the furries, shit this was bad,

On her way back she spots Ms Dodd, she sits behinds her since nobody was there " If you guys were better at your job, I might have not noticed you here so easily " Ella tells Ms Dodds

" If Thalia were better at hers, there might not be a family of squirrels making her their home " Ms Dodd says making the girls blood boil

" Is that why Hades sent you here? To gloat over one job you almost did right? I mean you could've killed us but you didn't, you could've killed Grover, and then Percy wouldn't be here right now would he? " Ella tells Ms Dodds

" How things have change " Ms Dodds scoffs" You're not the frightened little girl I came after all those years ago "

Ella scoffed  " Don't kid yourself, I wasn't that frightened "

" Maybe so, Maybe so, either way, now it would seem that you're exactly what they say you are, The pride of Aphrodite's offspring, perhaps the most formidable demigod child alive "

" Why are you here? " Ella asked " I'm here to collect your friend " Ms Dodd tells her

" Collect him? For what? " The brunette wanted answers " Oh, I don't ask questions " Bring him in, quick and quiet " that's was I was told "

" lure him off this bus where I can take him quietly away from so many eyes " Ms Dodds tells the girl even though she knew she was ordering her to do it  " and then your quest goes on unimpeded and unburdened, we both know he isn't going to be any help to you or maybe even a hindrance "

The girl left and ran to the back " Guys, you need to open that window, Now! " She ordered them as Annabeth woke up to her loud voice, she turned around to see Ms Dodds in her furries form

" I don't think these windows are supposed to— " he gets cut off by him, Percy and Annabeth seeing what Ella was yelling for

" —Oh " Grover says " Go,go,go,go! "

Percy eventually breaks the window, Ella watches as Ms Dodds gets closer, then closer, and closer but a man blocked her " Ella come on! " Percy called out for her

a fury then flew between the two, the fury started attacking Percy " Hey! " Ella screamed and as soon as the fury faced her way she threw her dagger her mom gave her at its heart, guessing it had a heart, she watched it dissolve, grabbed her dagger

She then helped Percy up, Percy waited until she was outside to leave

THE CREW, was now in the forest " somewhere ahead this turns into a satyr path " Grover tells them " and what's a satry path? " Percy asked " its a road through the wilderness, satyr explorers use them, harder to track us " he explained " That's great, but if we stay in the wilderness how are we going to find a phone? " Percy asked

Annabeth turned back so fast, Ella was surprised Annabeth didn't get whiplash, " What do we need a phone for? "

" So we can call the camp " Percy said as if it was the most obvious thing " T-To get help "

" We don't need help, we're fine " Annabeth tells him

Percy scoffs " We're fine? We haven't even gotten to Trenton and we're wandering through a forest, i ding even know they had forests in New Jersey, but we've found one, I would say we're the opposite of fine

" We were sent on a quest by the oracle, by the gods, what's you think it would be easy? It's supposed to be hard, that's why only certain people are chosen, if we call camp we're basically saying it was a mistake to chose us " Annabeth says

" I'm completely comfortable with that " Percy said " Everyone makes mistakes "

" Why are you so afraid of who you are? " Annabeth asked

Grover try's to get them off topic by talking about how his Uncle Ferididand took when he took his quest, but it wasn't working Percy was still mad

" What was that supposed to mean, afraid of who I am? I'm not afraid " Percy says " Yes, you are " Annabeth says " You aren't just a kid, " just a kid " doesn't do what you did to Clarisse back at camp, " Just a kid " doesn't have Hades sending top lieutenants to retrieve them, You know you are a part of something so much bigger than we understand right now we have to move forward whether you like it or not, whether you want to or not "

" You don't want to call camp, fine, then atleast let's call one of your twos mom " Percy says

" Excuse me? " Ella asked

" Athena and Aphrodite? your mothers " Percy explained " I'd call my father but we aren't exactly on speaking terms you know because of the lifelong neglect and all but you two and your moms don't have beef, so why don't we ask them for help? "

" Grover, will you explain to your friend he needs to pull himself together? " Ella says, Percy then faces the brunette " You can5 ask her, can you? When was the last time she talked to you? " Percy asked the brunette

" Grover? " She asks for help

" Why do you keep dragging him into this? He's on my side " Percy says, making Ella scoff " What makes you think? "

" He's my protector, it's his job! " Percy explained " He was my protector first! " She told him " First? " Percy asked " what do you mean first? "

" Very exciting, getting to walk in Uncle Ferdinands footsteps " Grover says releasing all the attention was on him " Next best thing to getting to talk to him again "

" Thalia, Ella, Luke, And Annabeth had a satyr protecter, that was you, Why didn't you tell me? "

Grover sniffed " Do you guys smell that? "

" Grover I'm not kidding— "

" No neither am I, just shush, Hamburgs " Grover went to the front " So why his Grover's nose leading us? " Ella asked but nobody replied " Ok I was left on real life, read "

" Grover, What are you doing— " Annabeth gets cut off by Grover " Somebody's making hamburgers, in the middle of nowhere, on a satyr path, whoever it is they're from our world "

" Oh come on " Annabeth said, " what? " Grover asked

" Aunty " Em " has a garden full of petrified stone folk, Yeah this is someone from our world, all right Anyone wanna guess what " Em " is short for? " Annabeth says

" Oh! " Grover said

" Let's get out of here, please, while we still can " Ella says but when they turn around, Ms Dodd appears, Percy takes out his sword " You should've accepted my offer when you had the chance " Ms Dodds tells Ella

" Offer? What offer is she talking about? " Percy asked looking at Ella, who was right next to him at the same time Annabeth said " What offer is she talking about, Ella? "

" Not today friends, Not on my doorstep " They hear a voice say

Ms Dodds, Annabeth, Grover and Ella all knew it was Medusa but Percy didn't " Percy! Look the other way! " Ella said, as Percy quickly followed the girls order

" if you have something to resolve, why not come insider and I'll help? " Medusa asks " Alecto, will you be joining us?, No well I wouldn't think you would, she won't bother you as long as you're with me, but it as she'll leave either, not if it means reporting that she failed to retrieve the son of Poseidon "

" How did you— " he gets cut off " A forbidden child had been claimed how long did you think that secret would keep? It's a pleasure to meet you, Son of Poseidon, I'm Medusa "

" Percy, Don't! " Ella said " She's a monster " Annabeth agreed

" We all chose who we make our monsters, but right now that one wants to tear you limb from limb " Medusa says " and I'm offering, the choice is yours " Medusa walks away

" I think we can trust her " Percy says

" What? " " Dude? " " Are you serious? "

" I can't explain it, I just— My mom use to tell me her story— and the point was— always — that she isn't want people think, and I definitely trust my mom, so I'm going in you guys do what you want " Percy walked away, Grover looked at the two girls then followed Percy

" What are you— " Annabeth starts

The two girls now make eye contact, the brunette sighed then groaned an followed the two boys " Ella wha- "

" I get it about Athena and Medusa, but it's more safe to be inside with all of us including Medusa, then with Alecto all alone " Ella tells Annabeth

" Thanks for coming " Percy says, Ella give him a smile and a nod as your welcome " this isn't the same for me as it is for you " Annabeth told him

" why? "

" your concern I would have a grudge against you simply because your the daughter of Athena? You shouldn't be we're not our parents after all, and you and I might have more in common thank you think " Medusa says " Please, sit and eat " They all sit besides Annabeth

Percy sat between Ella and Grover

" So if your not a monster what are you? " Percy asked

" You must be more than that " Percy says " There's a fury out there that seems terrified of you "

" Because she knows what I think of her, I don't like bullies when one shows up on my doorstep, they end up spending a lot more time then they planned for " Medusa explains " The Gift the Gods gave me is that I cannot be bullied anymore "

" What my mother did to you wasn't a gift it was a curse " Annabeth says

Medusa then start saying stuff like they are the same and her story " You are a liar " Annabeth says

Medusa sighs " Would you give me a hand in the kitchen? I think lunch is ready "

Percy looks at Annabeth then Ella, Ella mouthed ' No don't go ' but he stands up anyways

" Grover, Ella, Get ready to run " Annabeth tells them

THE DOOR, creaked, and fire appeared everywhere they were in the basement, Percy walks backwards and bumps into a statue " Ahh! " he jumps, they see tons of human statue, the door then gets open as they all start to run " There's four of us, one of her " Grover explains

" If we split up, she can't be watching us all at once " Grover says " I don't think it'd be the simple " Annabeth said " It could be "

" Here's your plan, I'll get in the air, I'll draw her attention as soon as you hear me say " Maia " you guys start— Oh, boy okay uhm, off, down " Grover screams

" We are not our parents until we choose to be, you three have chosen " Medusa then gave the three demi-god reasons how they're like there parents

Percy then gets out of the threes hiding spot, Annabeth puts her hat on Medusa and when Medusa try's to get away she falls and Percy cuts her head off

" Want me to take it from here? " Ella asked

" No, No I got it " Percy says " Thanks though "

" Just make sure it's pointing in the right direction before you take the hat off " Ella says, Percy nod and the two stay staring at each others " My hands are kinda full— " Percy said

" O- Of course " She opened the door as Percy used Medusa on the fury,

a started telling the other three about his uncle realizing he was a statue now

" What are we going to do with the head? We can't leave it in the street I just took down a Fury and I wasn't even trying, leaving that hat on and burying it in the basement that oughta keep it safe " Percy says

The two girls look at each other " Sure "

" Now can we talk about the bigger issue? " Annabeth asked " What bigger issue? " Percy asked " " You could have saved your mother " that's what she said to you, like you discussed it already is your mother still alive? "

" She with Hades— "It all made sense to Ella now he didn't care about the Master bolt he cared about her

" —But I appreciate your concern "

" Guys, just please stop " Grover says

" Oh, I'm concerned what are you actually doing on this quest? And why did I have to hear this from Medusa? " Annabeth asked " Okay while we're at it " you should have accepted my offer?? " Percy looks at Ella

" What did I do to you? " Ella asked

" What's that about do you think? And why did we have hear it from Alecto? " Percy asked Ella

" Enough! " Grover yells " That hat was a gift from her Mother, it's the only thing she ever possessed that connects to her, that oughta matter to you, "

" Okay, but how are we going to keep it safe? " Percy asks

" I'm not up to that yet, and you " he looks at Annabeth " His mom just died, and he just found out he can save her, he's absolutely confused it's the fate of the world of the fate of the one person who has love him his whole life "

" Why are talking like this? " Annabeth asks

" Because all day I've been trying to keep this quest on track without upsetting anyone " Grover explains " But maybe things do need to get upsetting before they move forward, She asked you a question back in the woods and you never answered, so what are you so afraid of? "

" Huh? " Percy asked

" You heard me " Grover said " You've been fighting with her, you've been fighting with Ella, you've been fighting with me— " Grover gets cut off

" Because the Oracle said one of you would betray me, okay? " you shall be betrayed by one who calls you friend and you shall fail to save what matter in the end " that was the ending of the Oracle, I chose those two because I can't ever imagine us becoming friends, and I chose you because I thought I can count on anyone to b eon my side, no matter what it was you and now I'm feeling so alone, I don't know what to think or who to trust "

Percy then saw the hurtness on the two girl faces " I didn't mean it that way " Percy said to the two " I'm going to take a breath " Ella walked away

" Go apologize " Grover told Percy

" I just did! " Percy said " Again " Said Grover

Ella saw Percy as he sat next to her on Medusas stairs outside " Alecto offered to help our quest, if I gave you up to her " Ella told him " What did you say? " Percy asked

" I killed her sister " Ella replied looking at the blonde

a whole lot of guilt was rushing down percy now, he saw something he couldn't see before sure she acted like a bitch sometimes but she could be very nice, he could tell in that moment they would be friend, good friends

" Medusa offered to help me save my mom, if I turned on the three of you " Percy told her " And what'd you say? " She asked " I cut off her head " Percy said making Ella laugh a bit

Grover and Annabeth then walk out " You didn't chose to be demigods " Grover said " We didn't chose this quest, but we can decide that as long as the four of us are together none of us are going to feel alone and if we can't do that, we might as well just head back to camp right now, cause we won't make it

" I think I got a better idea what to do with this " Percy says

" Hermes express ships these things all over some of it goes to Olympus " Percy says " Percy, you can't ship Medusas head to Olympus " Annabeth said as Grover agreed saying it's bad

" I think we should " Ella says " it's better than keeping your hat on it and plus it's a way of saying hi to the gods " she smirked
" okay look this is a bad idea " Annabeth says " They will see this as impertinent "

" I am Impertinent "

" Yes but we're not " Annabeth says as Grover agrees " Really, very not "

" Medusa tried to derail our quest, she's got serious beef with your mom when you look at it that way it's kind of tribe or something " Ella explained as Percy agreed and gave Annabeth her hat

When he was done putting her head in the box he signed it " you wanna sign " He asked Ella " yeah " she said
