ARYA WAS LAYING ON THE BED, staring straight up at the ceiling. Finnick was beside her but it was silent between them. It wasn't a bad silence, more comfortable really. But Arya was starting to second guess herself, wondering if she should say something first. Sure, they had talked since the whole 'I love you' talk, but they haven't talked. They were official, but they weren't. Neither had said anything about whether or not they even wanted to put a label on it or just be together.
But with her spiraling down, Arya figured she'd better say something now. Turning on her side, she stares at finnick, lifting her finger and poking his cheek. Finnick looked a bit amused as he turned his head toward her. "Hi." She says softly as she just gazes at him. Finnick smiles as he turns to face her fully.
"Hi." He responds, his eyes flickering over her, narrowing slightly. Finnick could feel her fidgeting for the past half hour, he knew she wanted to get something off her chest. "This is weird to you." Finnick states which only makes Aryas eyes widen.
"No--no, it's not that." Arya denies as she shakes her head. Finnick gives her a certain look causing her to sigh. "Okay, it's a little weird." She admits, fiddling her fingers together. "I've just never had an actual boyfriend before." She tells him. She had spent so long just taking care of her brothers and looking out for them, she'd forgotten to have an actual life. Not like life in District five was anything spectacular.
"What about Nova?" Finnick asks, furrowing his eyebrows as he was a bit confused.
"Technically that would be a girlfriend." She teases him and he playfully rolls his eyes. "And technically we were never officially together." Arya admits. She and Nova knew each other for a few weeks and although they found a love between them unexpectedly, they still were never in an actual relationship. That was just never in the cards for them unfortunately.
"Well, if it makes you feel any better, I've never done this either." Finnick replies and this brings Aryas eyes back to him.
"Now you're just making fun of me." Arya says as she scrunched her nose up, sitting up on the bed and crossing her arms against her chest. Finnick chuckles lightly as he follows in suit.
"I'm not." He tells her. Arya stares at him for a moment, seeing that he was being completely serious after she saw how he was looking at her.
"Seriously?" Arya was a bit taken aback by that. She knew the whole Snow pedophile ring didn't count for either of them but still, she would've thought finnick had at least one girlfriend.
"Why do you act so shocked?" Finnick asks with laugh, tilting his head. She shrugs her shoulders.
"I thought you'd be... You know, a ladies man." Then again, her whole idea of Finnick was based on what he was perceived as in the Capitol. She knew that was an act now so in hindsight, he probably wasn't actually a ladies man. Although he was quite charming when he wanted to be.
"I won my games at fourteen, I barely went through puberty." Finnick points out, amusement clear in his voice.
"So, no scandalous Capitol girlfriend?" Arya asks curiously, wiggling her eyebrows. She hadnt dated in the Capitol because honestly, she couldn't find one person she could actually stand. Ceila not counted since she was her stylist and Tigris was a bit old for her.
"Not one." He denies as he shakes his head. "Besides, they weren't my type." Finnick admits. All the girls in the Capitol either paid for him or were so blatantly disrespectful with the way they through themselves at him that he'd never found anyone he truly liked. That was until Arya came around.
"Oh, really? What is your type then?" Arya teases as she narrows her eyes, a small smirk on her face. Finnick pretends to think for a second.
"Hmm, definitely hot blondes." He jokes with a wink. Arya scoffs as she slaps his arm causing him to laugh before his hand goes to her waist. "Definitely a brunette badass who loves holding a knife to my throat." Finnick tells her, leaning closer as he tilted his head, his gaze staying clean on hers.
"I did that once." Arya retorts, narrowing her eyes more. Finnick raises an eyebrow. "Okay, twice." She corrects herself.
"You did it when we first met." Finnick points out making Arya groan.
"That was a butter knife, doesn't count." She responds. It wasn't like you could kill anyone with one. Well, you could if you really tried.
"Uh, yeah it does." Finnick fights back making her roll her eyes a bit.
"It barely knicked the skin." Arya points out and she saw the smirk that formed on his lips. That stupid smirk that made her want to slap him or kiss him silly. More the second option.
"So, you're admitting it was sharp."
"Just shut up and kiss me." She mumbles as she shakes her head, leaning toward him. Finnick smiles widely before their lips meet in a soft kiss. His hands move to her lower back as he deepens it slightly, moving closer to her. Arya wraps her arms around his neck, her fingers tangling in the bottom strands of his hair.
He sighs gently into the kiss as he nudges her back slightly. Arya allows herself to fall down slowly onto the mattress, Finnick hovering over her as the kiss got ever so slightly more passionate. After a few seconds, they pulled apart from one another. Arya gazed up at the man, a dazed look in her eye as a faint smile formed. Finnick smiled back at her, one of his hands moving up to brush her hair out of her face.
They gazed at each other for another moment before he leaned back down to meet her lips once again.

JOHANNA HAD RELUCTANTLY DECIDED TO TRY AND TALK TO WESLEY AGAIN. Her attempt hadn't been successful so far as she was sat in front of the man and he hadn't yet lifted his eyes from the table. His arm was in restraints so he couldn't exactly get up but it was the fact that he wasn't even looking at her that hurt her. Johanna knew he had it worse after Arya was gone but he would still talk to her. Well, up until that final night where they were separated until they were rescued.
She actually found out that they had a lot in common. Not that it meant anything since they were locked up. But now they weren't. Now they were free, well semi-free. And it seemed those conversations were null and void with the fact Wesley wouldn't talk to anyone. Johanna believed it may have just been Arya at first but Wesley wouldn't even talk to his own sister. Something deeper was wrong with him and Johanna wanted to figure it out.
"Are you not even gonna look at me?" She asks, not wanting to raise her voice but her tone was a bit sharp. Johanna hated how he acted like she wasn't even in the room with him. "You're just gonna act like nothing happened? Like we didn't.... we didn't become friends?" Johanna stares at the man. Wesley barely reacted. The only slight movement she got was his fingers moving ever so slightly.
Johanna lets out a sigh as she crosses her arms against her chest. "You could've killed Arya. The Wesley I knew wouldn't hurt someone he loved." No matter what either of them might say, Johanna believed that they wouldnt have hurt each other in the arena, even if they didnt have an alliance. Being from the same district gave you a sense of trust. Sure, Arya had a different experience in her first games but that was because her fellow district tribute was a complete asshole.
"What about Violet, huh? You're just gonna ignore her forever?" Johanna questions. She couldn't understand if this was just a trauma response or if Snow had messed with his memories like he did with Peeta and Arya. Either way, it was starting to piss her off. "Damn it, look at me!" She shouts, slamming her hands against the table. Not even a flinch came from him.
Johanna brings her hands to her head, closing her eyes momentarily. "You are the only one I can talk to about what is happening to me because... Arya, finnick, katniss, none of them saw what the Capitol really did to me." She was trying to get herself back to normal but she knew even that would be a Longshot. No one truly would be able to understand her pain, no one but Wesley.Β "You saw it. They did the same to you." She points out.
Again, she was met with nothing but silence. A frustrated sigh left her lips. It didn't help that she was in withdrawal from the morphling. "Wesley, I am begging you, just look at me. Say something, please." Her voice trembles slightly as she leans against the table. "Was everything we went through, everything we said... did it mean nothing?" Johanna just wanted one word from him. Or even a glance. Something to tell her that he was still with her.
"Was all of it just a gigantic game?" Johanna knew Snow wanted to make them miserable. And maybe this was his way of finally tearing down the last pillar Johanna had which was keeping her together. "I'm left with the scars and the memories and someone who can't even bother to look at me let alone be here for me-- be here with me?" She tells him, looking away and shaking her head.
"You know what? Maybe I hate you too." Johanna admits as she stands up from the chair, it scraping behind her. "Before the quarter quell, I had no one. Finnick was my only friend but other than that, everyone else in my life was taken and gone. Even arya and i were mere anything but strangers really." She had barely anyone when she went into that arena and she thought she would come out with people she could call her friends. Her family. Apparently that was a lie she told herself.
"And then the games happened, we got close on the beach, we got taken together. And then Arya escaped. Peeta got taken away from us and it was just you and me." Johanna says as she takes a few steps toward her. Wesley's eyes were still pierced to the table and she wasn't even sure if he was listening to her. "It was you and me, Wesley, and I know you remember that. The nights we would stay up, not able to fall asleep because we were scared we would wake and one of us would be gone too." A single tear rolls down her cheek as she bends down next to him, trying desperately to get him to see her.
"The things we told each other, the moments we shared. You're gonna tell me that all meant nothing?" Johanna asks him, begging for an answer. "That I am truly alone again?" She sniffles as she tries to keep her composure. Johanna made it a goal to not let anyone in after she lost her family, but she failed at that and this is what she got. "Did I lose you too?" It was killing her inside, the fact that he wasn't even glancing at her.
"You made me... feel things again and I hate that. I hate that you opened up my heart to something new, only to rip it shut again." Johanna knew she had Arya. She had Finnick, Peeta. Even katniss. But none of that compared to what she got with Wesley. The connection they made with each other.
She lifts her hand, grabbing his chin and moving his head to look at her. "Wesley." She pleads as she looks into his eyes. But all she saw was a void emptiness. And that just broke her heart even more. "Are you gonna look right through me forever?" Johanna asks him as she shakes her head. She thought she may get a response this time. He was somewhat seeing her instead of just hearing her voice.
But once again, she was left disappointed. Johanna let's him go as she just stands back up. She tried. She really did. But she couldn't put herself through this again. Not when the man that was sitting in that chair was not the man she knew but more of a fragment of him. Johanna turns and heads for the door, slamming it behind her.
Wesley was left alone was more. And as he moved his eyes slowly back to the table, a lone tear dropped from his eyelid, making a small wet smear on the cold metal.

PEETA GRINS WIDELY AS THE PAPER FLIES OVER ARYA'S SHOULDER. He laughs as he sees the annoyed expression on her face. She lets out a groan as her nose scrunched up in frustration. "That's not how you play!" She complains as she glares at him. Peeta rolls his eyes playfully as he just leans back against the pillow.
"Oh, now we have rules?" Peeta asks curiously. When they played in the cell together, there were never any rules they established. In fact Arya said it was better without any.
"Uh, yeah." Arya says as she gives him a firm nod.
"I thought there were no rules?" He points out, tilting his head. Arya presses her tongue to the inside of her cheek for a second.
"Now there is because I said so." Arya states as she shrugs her shoulders and he chuckles lightly.
"Right,Β I forgot that everything has to be Arya approved." Peeta teases her and she couldn't help but smirk back at him.
"Obviously."
Peeta just stares at her, his eyes running over her face. "You seem happier." Peeta points out, glad she was doing better. Arya raises her eyebrows at him.
"I seem?" She asks him curiously.
"I don't know, it's like an aura." Peeta states and she snorts, narrowing her eyes a bit.
"An aura.."
"Shut up, you know what I mean." Peeta says as he nudges her arm. Arya smiles brightly as she nods her head.
"I am." She assures him. Arya wouldn't be completely happy until Snow was out of their lives but having finnick, he reminded her what it was like to really smile, to really feel a sense of joy.
"That's good. Thats-- I'm glad you're doing better." Peeta admits but she could see the sadness in his eyes that he tried to hide from her.
"I never meant to leave you all there." Arya says, still feeling guilty for it. She knew that she wouldn't have made it if she had stayed and let Wesley go but at least then Violet would have her brother back.
"We know." Peeta didnt hold any sort of resentment with Arya. Wesley told him and Johanna that they had tried to wait as long as they could. "Arya, he was going to kill you, it was only a matter of time." He knew she wasn't getting out of the Capitol alive if she didn't escape.
"Right, and I just let you all get the brunt of it." Arya retorts with a scoff as she shakes her head. Peeta reaches over, grabbing her hand.
"Hey, he hurt you first." He points out. "When they didn't bring you right away when we first got there... it scared me." Peeta admits. He wouldn't have been surprised if Snow had just up and killed her the moment he was in her possession. But there was a fate worse than death. "And then when Snow said you were dead, I believed it." Peeta truly believed that video he was showed.
"I thought Snow would kill Wesley for what we did. I thought he would kill you and Johanna to get back at me for escaping." Arya admits as she fiddles with her fingers. "But when I saw your interview, I was so glad you were alive." A sigh leaves her lips as a frown forms on her face. "Until I saw what they did to you." She hated how he had looked. How his eyes were so distant, so full of pain as he recited those stupid lines.
"But now we're together again." Peeta assures her and she nods her head slowly, putting a faint smile on her lips.
"We are."
"In this same room." Peeta mutters as his eyes scan the white walls they were enclosed in. Arya sighs gently before squeezing his hand.
"It'll be over soon, Peeta." She tells him. Arya knew he hated being locked up and she wished they would let him out, but she knew it was to protect Katniss.
"It won't be over until she's dead." His eyes turned a bit dark as he just stared down at the bed. Arya bites her tongue. She knew he was talking about Katniss and she wished she could get him to see she wasn't the enemy. But it wasn't that easy.
"I'll be back, okay?" Arya tells him and he nods his head. She gets off of the bed, unfortunately having to put the restraints back on before she exited the room. She saw Haymitch and Plutarch standing near the window.
"These visits aren't helping. And all we're doing is delaying the inevitable. " Plutarch explains to them with a sigh as he shakes his head.
"Which is what, Plutarch?" Haymitch asks, a bit annoyed.
"That Peeta will attack again. I don't know when or who, but he will." He responds before his eyes move to Arya. "So, I think it's best you leave the restraints on while you're in there." Plutarch tells her. Arya furrows her eyebrows as she shakes her head.
"Peetas not dangerous, not to me." She denies.
"You don't know that."
"Yeah I do." Arya wasn't going to treat Peeta like some animal. She would help him recover and she couldn't do that when he was all tied up.
"And when he was screaming at you just the other day?" Plutarch asks her, raising his eyebrows.
"He was confused." Arya retorts with a scoff.
"Because he can't think straight. His memory is jumbled. We cant trust that."
"Well, I do. And I'm not gonna let you tell me what to do." Arya snaps before angrily storming out of the room. Haymitch stays silent for a moment before Plutarchs gaze falls back on him.
"You heard the lady." He says as he shrugs his shoulders before following in Aryas steps.

THE GROUP WERE SAT AT ONE OF THE TABLES, well, Arya didnt really want Gale there but everywhere she looked, unfortunately he was. Luckily Finnick was beside her while Katniss was on her other side and Ceila and Xander were in front of her. "Does Coin seriously think you can rally the rest of the districts?" Arya asks, her eyes on katniss. She understood Coin's plan, she just didn't get putting Katniss in the line of fire.
"Well, most have joined its just the career districts that are the tricky part." Katniss responds with a sigh as she shrugs her shoulders.
"I don't see why we need them. This is just a suicide mission for us anyways while Coin walks in without a scratch." Finnick states, clenching his jaw. He didn't see why she was allowed to sit safely behind these walls while others risked their lives.
"Letting us do all the dirty work." Xander mumbles. Arya was slightly surprised since he was usually the optimistic one but this place really did make you quite dull.
"What do you guys suggest otherwise? There's no getting out of here without her approval." Gale pipes up making everyone glance at him. Even Katniss seemed annoyed at his comment.
"Who says we need it?" Ceila retorts with a scoff and Gale just rolls his eyes a little bit.
"So, what? You want to bust your way out and fight on your own? With what weapons?" Gale asks her.
"It's a suggestion. And we can easily find a few weapons." Ceila responds. It wasn't like there wasn't a whole armory sitting here untouched.
"It's a dumb suggestion." He mutters and this time it was Katniss who sent him a look to pipe down a little bit.
"Gale, not everyone is comfortable just following Coin blindly." Katniss didn't trust Coin and it seemed like the others didn't either. It was hard to just trust that she'd be their savour after they already had one vengeful leader.
"Why not? She'll get us the win." Gale responds as he shrugs his shoulders.
"No, she'll get herself the win. She doesn't care about us." Arya corrects him with a glare. He seemed to be the only one who actually trusted that vile woman.
"If she didn't care about you, why rescue everyone?"
"To use us." Katniss answers, a sharp tone in her voice. "And please, she didn't even want me, she wanted Peeta." She sneers a bit. That was actually admitted to her so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Katniss didn't trust the witch.
"Like he's of much use." Gale mutters underneath his breath. Xander shakes his head.
"Maybe because the Capitol brainwashed him." He personally went through the capitols torture techniques as well. There wasn't anything you could do to stop it.
"Because he allowed it to happen." Gale states making Aryas eyes widen.
"Are you-- Peeta didnt ask for it." Arya denies, starting to get really angry at how Gale was speaking about her friend.
"He did those interviews, he took it because he was weak."
"So, I was weak? Xander, Johanna, Wesley, we were all weak?" Arya asks, frustration in her tone. She did not suffer those endless times in the Capitol, she did not escape, just to be called weak by a boy who has been safely behind four walls.
"Yeah. I'd never say what Peeta did. I'd never let it get to that level of torment." Gale denies.
"I'll gladly offer you up to the Capitol and then you can see how you'd fare out." Arya snaps at him as her glare only increases.
"Acting like Snow didn't go easy on you or let you go. We all know he would've killed you if he didn't think you could be turned into a spy." Gale explains and Arya just stares back at him, completely dumbfounded that someone could take this whole situation and twist it so horribly.
"Now you think she's a spy?" Ceila asks, completely confused and angered by Gales behaviour. "I risked my own life getting her out." She points out.
"How convenient." Gale states with a scoff. "You've grown up in the Capitol. You really expect to believe you'd turn on them just like that?" He asks making Ceila cross her arms against her chest.
"I saw what Snow was doing was evil and decided I didn't want to be a part of it." Ceila was raised in the Capitol, sure. But it wasn't like she had much of a choice either. Her family was there, the family she risked by helping Arya and even coming her to thirteen. But she came because she believed the rebellion was in the right and that Snow was an awful human being.
"But you took the luxury anyways." Gale points out and Ceila looked like she wanted to completely beat the crap out of him in that moment.
"Okay, just.. let's just calm down." Finnick tells them with a sigh. None of them were making it far enough to kill Snow if they were sat here bickering with each other.
"Oh, don't you start." Gale scoffs making Finnick look confused as he furrows his eyebrows.
"Excuse me?"
"You had everything in the Capitol while people were starving in twelve. You went into the quarter quell and when seeing the most prominent enemy, you never once tried to eliminate her." Gale points out as he stares at finnick who was just blinking back at him. Finnick didn't get how this whole thing got switched around on him.
"Arya?" He asks, tilting his head as that was really the only one Gale could be referring to. "Because that wasn't my goal." Finnick denies. He wasn't going to kill someone who one, was being blackmailed by Snow and two, was asked to join the alliance.
"You had no problem killing the careers." Gale retorts and Finnick just scoffs as he shakes his head.
"Because they weren't part of the alliance." The careers would've killed them while as Arya hesitated on numerous occasions. If she truly wanted them dead, they would've been dead.
"Neither was she!" Gale shouts as he gestures toward Arya who now wanted to rip his head off. She would gladly kill him and take the consequences. "She tried to kill Katniss twice! And you would've let her." He states. He didn't get how Katniss could just become friends with her out of the blue.
"She was afraid." Katniss speaks up. Right now she didnt recognize the man she grew up with. "But I guess if you were in that situation, you'd just let Snow kill everyone you love." She was trying to protect Matthew. Sure, Arya didn't really know that right now, but that was her reason. And katniss didn't blame her for it.
"Oh, please. Her brothers were already dead, her parents too. She didn't have anyone left. She just did it because she's a cold blooded killer like the rest of them." That was the final straw. Arya stood up from the table, her hands planted firmly on tbe metal as she glared daggers at the man in front of her.
"Don't talk about my brother's." She warns as he just gets up with a scoff causing Finnick to move in front of Arya to block her from him.
"Why? It's not like they're around to hear it." Gale points out. Arya saw red, her fists clenching together. But before she could even move a muscle, Gale was on the ground. She blinked for one second and Finnick was on top of the man just completely pounding his fists into Gales face.
No one in the group was really doing much to stop it, most of them silently cheering him on instead. That was until the guards came rushing in, Haymitch behind him. They pulled Finnick up, the man breathing heavily with bloodied knuckles. Gale stays on the ground, mainly because he most definitely had a concussion. Haymitch pressed his hand against Finnicks chest so that the man didn't think about trying anything else.
"That's enough!" Haymitch demands as he stares at all of them. This wasnt helping anyone, especially since Coin already wanted them gone. "All of you, out!" He tells them as he gives them a pointed glare.
"But, he--" Arya starts to say but Haymitch cuts her off, shaking his head.
"Now." Haymitch demands as he points his finger toward the door. Arya just scoffs as she takes finnicks arm and walks out of the room along with the others, leaving Gale bloodied on the ground with Haymitch and a few guards.
β³β¦
KATNISS WALKS THROUGH THE HALLS, peeking her head into multiple rooms before finding the one that had a makeshift lake inside it. She didn't know why it was there, maybe to give people the feeling of being outside. Katniss couldn't believe the citizens of thirteen were trapped in this stupid bunker but hey, she wasn't in charge. She saw Finnick standing near the edge of the lake. She lets out a sigh as she walks inside.
"Thought I'd find you here." She admits as she stops beside him. Finnick somewhat glanced at her before looking back in front of him. "You kind of just disappeared." Katniss points out. Arya had cleaned his hands but after that, he had walked out of the room and no one could find him.
"Well, I didn't think Gale wanted me around." Finnick mutters as he just rubs at his knuckles. Katniss knew why he had attacked Gale and wasn't about to make him feel bad about it. Especially since he shouldn't. Gale had deserved it.
"That was a good punch." Katniss says with a smile, nudging his arm. Finnick raises an eyebrow as he finally meets her gaze fully.
"Thanks?" He responds in a questionable tone. "I thought you and Gale were friends." Finnick points out. That's what he had heard anyways so he wondered why she wasn't angry about him punching the man.
"We are." Katniss says before shaking ber head. "Were." She corrects herself before letting out a sigh. "I don't know anymore if I'm being honest." She admits as she shrugs her shoulders. Her and Gale were distant with each other, mainly because he was treating Peeta like the enemy. "He deserved that punch." Katniss states.
"He just kept talking about her and I hated it. I wasn't even thinking." Finnick didn't even remember punching Gale, he was just suddenly on top of the man, pounding his fist down. But he saw how upset Arya was becoming and that last comment about her brothers was the one that sent him into a blind fit of rage.
"Hey, I would've done the same thing. You just beat me to it." Katniss teases slightly. She honestly would've but she knew even Arya would've got there first. She saw Finnicks eyes falls for a moment. "What's wrong?" She asks and he just looks back at her.
"Why do you think Somethings wrong?" Finnick questions her and she just tilts her head.
"Because your expression looks like mine." Katniss jokes, smiling a bit. Finnick faintly smiles before it drops and he just shakes his head.
"Nothings wrong. Its just..." He trails off momentarily. "I'm not sure what Arya told you about--"
"Oh, about how you two made out?" Katniss asks, puckering her lips and sending him an air kiss. Finnick groans as he rolls his eyes.
"Okay, we didn't make out." He denies. Well, the time she probably knew about they didn't. He wasn't counting last night.
"Whatever."
"We're together." Finnick admits, although they didnt officially call each other boyfriend girlfriend, it was just kind of implied. "Well, that's-- unless I completely read it wrong. But I think we're together and I couldn't be happier." He explains to her and she nods her head slowly.
"Okay, so why the long face?" Katniss asks. If he was happy, it didn't explain his expression.
"I guess I feel guilty." Finnick admits, a small sigh leaving his lips. "With everything going on with Peeta and Wesley, Johanna trying to fight her addiction, the rebellion, god, the fact that Arya doesn't know who Matthew is. I just feel like I shouldn't get to be happy when everyone else is in pain." Finnixk tells her. Katniss felt her eyes soften as she knew that feeling happy in a time like this could definitely make you feel like you didn't deserve it.
"Hey, you suffered so much just to even get here. You deserve this sliver of happiness." Katniss assures him. He was suffering way longer than she had even known him. Katniss just never realized until that interview he gave.
"You think so?"
"I do." Katniss responds with a nod. "But if you wouldn't mind giving me a piece, I would be grateful." She jokes with a slight laugh and Finnick softly smiles before looking back in front of him.
"I really love her." He admits. Katniss couldn't help but smile again. Anyone could see that. Hell, they all knew that before even he did.
"I know." Katniss responds. "And I see the way she looks at you." She admits. Arya may not admit it yet, but his feelings weren't all one sided, that was clear. "It's honestly a bit disgusting, the two of you with your lovey dovey eyes." She teases as she fakes a disgusted expression.
"Shut up. You're just jealous." Finnick replies as he nudges her arm. Katniss puts her hand on her chest.
"I'm so distraught. I mean what if I liked Arya and you took her from me?" Katniss asks, raising her eyebrows at him. Finnick let's out a dramatic sigh.
"Then peeta would have to do." He responds before laughing. Katniss does the same.
"Peeta would honestly go for it. He's got a big heart." She admits before her smile fades slowly. "Did." Katniss looks down at her shoes. "Truth be told, I don't know what he is like anymore." She denies as she shakes her head. Finnick brings his hand up to her shoulder.
"We'll get him back." Finnick assures her and she nods her head, but she didnt know how long she could believe that. "And if not, you can always punch Gale to get some of the stored up anger out."
He tells her with a wink. This makes a smile form back on her face as she laughs, covering her face with her hand.
He just smiled as he squeezes her shoulder before his eyes move back to the lake in front of him. The one thing that reminded him of the home he desperately wanted to get back to. To make a life with the woman who was his soulmate. The woman he wanted everything with.
The woman he would give up everything for.
