━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄, 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐓𝐓, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 Stiles stood in Noah's office, watching as he looked at himself through a small hand held mirror, fixing his hair. He sighed. "I should've gotten a hair cut."

Stiles moved to stand in front of him. "Well, you know someone your age should be happy you still have hair to cut."

Elaine closed her eyes and sighed. "Stiles. . ."

Scott stepped forwards. "I think you look great."

     "So do I," Elaine nodded.

"Well, thank you, son and daughter I should've had." Noah said before he let out a sigh and began to remove his tie. "What the hell am I doing? This is a terrible idea."

Stiles quickly moved to stop him. "What, Dad. . . Dad, it's one date, okay?" He fixed Noah's tie. "The town of Beacon Hills won't implode while you're out with one woman. Or man." Stiles shot his Dad a look.

     "It's a woman, Stiles."

     Stiles nodded and smiled. "Okay."

     "A very beautiful woman."

Elaine hummed. "And, do tell, what beautiful woman is that?" Stiles pointed at her, looking at his father as he nodded, wanting to know as well.

"None of your business." Noah answered. "Either one of you."

Stiles narrowed his eyes. "I wanna know."

"Yeah, I do too." Elaine nodded.

Noah looked at her. "You've been hanging out with Stiles too much."

"Wha―︎" Elaine threw her hands up as she scoffed. Scott smiled in amusement.

"Stilinski!" When someone yelled out Noah's name the group of four turned. "Stilinski!" Noah quickly opened the door and walked out with the three teenagers following after him. Parrish and another Deputy were holding onto a young boy around their age who was thrashing against his cuffs as he yelled at Noah who came to a stop in front of him. "I'm going to kill you."

Noah stared at him, unimpressed. "Donovan, if you think that shocks me, remember it was well-documented in your Anger Expression Inventory. Deputies, escort the prisoner out."

"I'm not angry like I'm gonna throw a brick through your window." Donovan said. "I'm angry, like I'm going to find you, I'm gonna get a knife and I'm gonna stab you with it until you're dead. And when you look at me and you ask me why, remember right now. Because this is why."

Stiles crossed his arms over his chest, letting the words sink in for a moment before nodding. "Wow, that was awesome. That was awesome. That was great. Can we do one more? Give us another one, maybe like Christopher Walken this time, you know." Donovan continued to stare at him. "Okay, you know what? It's fine. You'll have plenty of time to work on it when you're in your tiny, little cell, you know. Just stuck there forever."

Donovan smiled a little and nodded, going to turn only to attempt to dart forwards causing the deputies to quickly grab him. Elaine quickly moved forwards along with Scott, blocking Stiles and Noah. "Get him out of here!" Noah snapped.

When he finally was dragged out Scott asked, "What the hell is Anger Expression Inventory?"

Stiles answered. "It's a test you take when you're applying to become a deputy."

Elaine rose a brow. "He wanted to be a cop?"

"At least now he's getting the full law enforcement experience." Stiles mumbled.

Elaine nodded and cleared her throat. She placed her hand on Noah's shoulder, giving him a small smile. "Have fun on your date." She turned and walked away and Stiles and Scott followed after her. They got into the car and Elaine sat in the back this time, watching as Stiles started the car but it wouldn't crank.

He continued to try but it wasn't working. He glanced at Scott, noticing his stare. "It's anxiety." Stiles said.

     "What is?" Scott asked.

"The chemo signals. Oh, I'm well aware how you all monitor my emotional state. Yeah." He glanced at Elaine who had her chin placed on the back of their seats. "Even that one does it."

     "Unintentionally," Elaine added.

Stiles tried to crank it again but when it didn't work he slammed his hand against the steering wheel and Elaine slowly sat up straight. Scott watched him carefully. "You okay?"

Stiles looked at him before he closed his eyes and sighed. "Alright." He pulled out his phone. "I got this from Braeden a few hours ago." He handed his phone to Scott. Scott took it and Elaine leaned over her brother's shoulder to read what it said. "That's the first bit of real information we've gotten on the Desert Wolf in months."

Scott's eyes widened. "The Desert Wolf did this?"

Stiles nodded. "Yeah. And I'm the one that's been pulling on this thread."

"Maybe you should stop."

Stiles shook his head. "No. It's not up to me."

Elaine's phone began to ring and she pulled it out. "It's Malia." Instantly, Scott and Stiles turned to look at her. "Mal, what's up?"

"You, Scott, and Stiles need to get here fast."

Elaine glanced at Stiles who turned the key, letting out a breath when the car cranked. He began driving. "Malia, where?"

The three of them arrived where Malia told them to, quickly climbing out of the car upon noticing a bunch of police and an ambulance. They spotted Kira, Malia, and Lydia in the middle of the crime scene and immediately ran up to them, coming to a stop when an officer was wheeled by on a gurney with an oxygen mask on his face. "Boys, Elaine." They turned when they saw Noah approach them.

Noah looked at Scott. "Scott, you saw this kid, Donovan. He. . . He wasn't like you, right?"

Scott glanced at Stiles before looking back at Noah. "I don't think so."

"Unless he knows how to hide his scent." Stiles added.

"Well, human or otherwise, this kid might have just murdered his lawyer and mortally wounded two officers." Noah informed and Elaine's eyes widened. "We've got an APB out on him, but you think you can find him faster?"

"I can try." Scott nodded.

"Alright." Noah handed him a radio. "Keep it on channel two." Scott nodded and went running.

"Dad, what if it wasn't Donovan." Stiles said causing Elaine to look at him.

Noah raised his brows. "I'm guessing you've already got a theory?"

Stiles nodded. "Yeah, I think so."

The feeling of someone watching her made Elaine turn. She looked up, her eyes scanning the area before she shook it off and looked back at Stiles. Parrish came up to them and his radio made a sound. He pressed the button on the side. "Scott, is that you?"

"Yeah. I found Donovan. He's completely freaked out. He keeps saying some name."

Noah took his own radio. "What name?"

"Tracy. He keeps saying Tracy."

"Tracy who?"

It was Lydia who answered. "Stewart."

Elaine frowned. "Tracy Stewart? As in the girl we go to school with?" She looked at Lydia who met her eyes and nodded.

━︎━︎━︎━︎"𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐘 𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐍'𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 having trouble sleeping." Lydia explained as they all stood in the school parking lot. "It was a real disorder. It was night terrors."

"Well, now she's the night terror." Stiles said. "Especially since no one can find her."

Scott spoke next. "Okay, I know we're all tired and miserable. . ." He paused, turning his head to look at Mason who had joined them, Liam having explained the supernatural world to him. "Except for you."

Mason, who had an excited look on his face, quickly turned to look at Scott. "Oh, I'm sorry. This is all just mind-blowing." He pointed at Kira. "You're a kitsune. I don't even know what that is."

"I'm still learning." Kira answered.

Stiles sighed. "Liam, we said you could tell him. Not invite him into the inner circle."

Mason's mouth dropped. "I'm in the inner circle?"

In sync Liam and Stiles said, "No."

"Can we go back to the topic at hand?" Elaine urged.

"Thank you." Scott nodded. "Guys, look, she's just one lone wolf. We can find her."

"One lone serial-killing wolf." Malia said earning a nudge from Elaine who sent him an incredulous look.

Stiles held up a finger. "Uh, she's only killed one person, you know. The other two were mauled." Elaine sighed in response. "Alright, what do we do when we catch her?"

"I say we put her down." Malia answered.

There was a silence that followed as they all glanced at Scott before Mason broke it. "Intense."

"Guys, let's concentrate on catching her first. We'll figure out the rest later."

"I don't think we should put her down." Elaine finally said, causing them all to look at her. She glanced at them before sighing. "Look, I think there's something more going on here. Something behind the scenes. Tracy is a sweet girl, she wouldn't hurt a fly. I get the insomnia will make you snap sometimes, but it doesn't make you just suddenly become a murderer. I don't. . ." Elaine clenched her jaw, meeting Scott's eyes. "I don't feel good about this, Scotty. At all."

The bell rang, telling them all class was about to start. Scott gave her a firm nod. "We'll figure this out." Elaine nodded, squeezing Stiles hand before following after Lydia, Kira, and Scott as they all went to their biology class.

Elaine took her seat beside Lydia, a sigh leaving her lips. Lydia glanced at her as the teacher announced she would be giving them back their tests. She nudged Elaine, grabbing her attention. "Hey, are you alright?"

Elaine hummed before looking at her. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm alright. I just. . . it's nothing. Nevermind."

Lydia frowned. "You know you can tell me, right?"

Elaine forced a small smile. "I know."

"Why don't you and I go somewhere this weekend?" Lydia suggested.

Elaine sent her a look. "During all of this, we can't just leave."

Lydia rolled her eyes. "They'll be fine without you for two days. Besides, as your best friend, it is my job to take you away from all of the chaos and to help you relax. Now shut up and let me be a good friend." Elaine stared at her for a moment before sighing and giving in. Lydia smiled excitedly.

Their tests were given to them and Elaine stared at her grade, a breath of relief leaving her lips. She'd gotten a 93 which if she was being honest was a lot better than she had expected. Mrs. Finch handed Scott his test paper. "Nice to see where your priorities are, Scott. Since you have such a good grasp on the subject, how about you lead us in a review. Last night's reading."

"Uh, sure." He flipped open his book, glancing towards the doorway and furrowing his brows. Elaine followed his line of sight to see Liam standing in the doorway, trying to silently grab his attention.

"Scott?" Mrs. Finch grabbed his attention.

"Sorry, just looking for the page."

Elaine glanced at her brother, watching as he subtly tapped his ear. Elaine took it upon herself to listen in. "She's here. She's in History class right now. Tracy. She's here."

Elaine met her brother's eyes before he started to explain the reading. She met Liam's eyes and softly whispered, "Fire alarm." Liam nodded before walking away. A few minutes later the alarm went off. The students all stood up and walked out. Elaine walked by Scott, gently grasping his wrist as they made their way towards the history classroom with Liam who had joined them.

The three of them stood there along with Mr. Yukimura as they all looked at Tracy who remained seated, a girl named Hayden standing in front of her. Tracy's hand shot out, grasping tightly onto Hayden's wrist. Scott carefully began to walk forwards. "Tracy." No response. He tried again. "Tracy."

Tracy slowly stood, her grip on Hayden never wavering and she was beginning to draw blood from the girl. "Hey, you're hurting me!" Hayden cried out, trying her best to pull away from the harsh grasp.

"Tracy, let go." They carefully walked closer to her, Scott keeping his voice calm. "Tracy, let her go."

"They're coming." Tracy said, her hand finally dropping from Hayden's arm. "They're coming for all of us." Then, she fell to the ground. Silver liquid flowed from her mouth, forming a pool right beside her face. Scott and Mr. Yukimura pulled her up, carrying her out of the room with Elaine following close behind. Malia and Stiles came running around the corner, coming to a quick stop when they both spotted them before pulling the doors open for them to exit out of.
