━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐍 her brother's room with her hands in her hair. She was worried about Scott and she meant it when she said she would kill Kate Argent. Stiles and Malia walked in the room and looked at the girl. The two exchanged looks with each other before taking a seat on either side of her.
"Hey, we're going to find him." Stiles softly told her.
"I already have." Elaine whispered, pulling a map out of her pocket and handing it to him. Stiles took it and saw where the locator spell had led her. "What if he's not okay, Stiles?"
"He's okay." Malia told her with the firm nod of her head. "It's Scott."
Elaine just shook her head. "Something doesn't feel right. Something in my gut tells me that we're going to go on in there and not be ready for whatever Kate throws at us."
Stiles stuffed the map in his pocket. "We'll be ready. We have you." Elaine just looked at him unamused. "Yeah, that anger right there, take it out on her and not me. . . please?"
Elaine sighed and stood up. "Are we ready?"
"Yep." Malia nodded.
"Then let's get Scott and Kira back."
The three made their way down the steps only to see Liam standing in the kitchen. Stiles sighed. "Oh, Liam, go home. You're not coming with us."
"Why not?" Liam argued.
"Because it's a full moon. And I don't feel like driving all the way down to Mexico just to have you rip my throat out."
"You can lock me up, right?" Liam tried. "Chain me down to the backseat or something?"
"You tore through the last chains, remember?" Malia reminded him.
"We would have to freeze you in carbonite to get you down there." Stiles told him and Elaine smirked at the Star Wars reference.
"Okay, then where do we get carbonite?" Liam asked.
Stiles sighed in disbelief. "Seriously, you haven't seen it either?" He just turned and walked away with Elaine and Malia following.
"Wait!" Liam stopped them. "What if we put me in the trunk?"
"Liam, you've been a werewolf all of five minutes." Stiles said.
Elaine continued. "You don't have to do this."
"I know I don't, but I want to. There's gotta be bigger chains, a bigger trunk or something. There has to be."
"Maybe there is." Stiles mumbled, thinking about it.
"Just know, if you lose control, I'll knock you out." Elaine told him as they made their way out of the home into Stiles' jeep.
Liam swallowed. "Good to know."
"She means it too." Malia told him.
They met up with Braeden who pulled up in a prison transport van. They got out of their vehicles and Stiles asked, "How did you get a prison transport van?"
"I'm a U.S. Marshall." Braeden shrugged.
"Yeah, I just thought that was just a cover."
Another vehicle pulled up and it was Derek and Peter. "Are we really bringing him?" Derek asked, pointing to Liam.
Elaine countered, "Are we really bringing him?" She nodded towards Peter.
"We're bringing everyone that we can." Peter answered her.
Elaine nodded and looked at him and her eyes glowed purple and suddenly Peter was clutching his head in pain. "You pull any shit, I'll make your head explode."
"Can you stop?" Peter grunted. Elaine did so. He stood up straight and shook his head. "Considering Scott and Kira were taken the night before the full moon, we should probably get going. A werewolf can't steal a true alpha's power. But maybe a Nagual jaguar, with the power of Tezcatlipoca behind her. . . maybe she can. So, if everyone is sufficiently freaked out, I say we get out."
"We can't." Stiles denied. "Not without Lydia."
"She's at the school." Elaine told them as Stiles tried to call her again.
"What's she doing at the school anyway?" Derek asked.
Malia was the one to answer. "We got Kira's sword, but we need something with a stronger scent." She held up Kira's sword.
"I thought Elaine knew where they were?" Peter frowned.
"I know their location, I don't know where they are inside of that fortress." Elaine defended. "We have one of Scott's shirts, Lydia is supposed to be getting one of Kira's jackets from her locker."
"Nothing." Stiles sighed, walking back over to them.
"If she has a car, she can catch up to us." Braeden told him.
"No. What if something happened? What if she's in trouble?" Stiles denied, shaking his head.
"Fine." Peter said. "You stay, you find her. We're gonna go on without you."
"I could call Mason." Liam offered. "He has a study group at school. Maybe he could look for her." Derek nodded his head and Stiles finally sighed.
"Alright. Fine."
They got on the road and Liam called Mason who said Lydia's car was at the school and to call him back as soon as he found Lydia. In the Prisoner van was Braeden who was driving, Elaine who was sitting in the passengers seat, and in the back were Stiles, Liam, and Derek. In the other car was Malia and Peter.
Liam pulled at the restraints to make sure they were secure before looking at Derek who pulled something from his pocket. "Okay, I brought something to help you. This has been with my family for centuries. It's a very powerful, supernatural talisman. We use it to teach betas how to control themselves on a full moon." He handed the triskele symbol over to Liam who took it.
Stiles and Derek exchanged a look and Derek subtly, but aggressively, nodded his head towards Liam. "Yes, it's powerful." Stiles dragged out, clearing his throat. "Very powerful." Elaine just closed her eyes and sighed, Braeden glanced at her and smiled in amusement.
Night fell and Elaine glanced nervously at the full moon. She could feel the wolf in her trying to come out. She sat back and closed her eyes, taking deep breaths. Braeden glanced at her nervously before looking back at Liam who suddenly let out a grunt. His fangs and claws appeared, his eyes glowing yellow as he looked at Derek. "Whatever you were going to teach me, I think you better start."
"Liam, you with me?" Derek asked, trying to explain it to him. "There's a mantra that we use. It's like meditating. You say the words until you feel control coming back to you."
"Okay." Liam said through clenched teeth. "Okay! Okay! What are the words?"
"Okay, look at the triskelion. You see the symbol? Each spiral means something."
"Alpha, Beta, Omega." Stiles said.
"It represents the idea that we can always rise to one and fall back to another." Derek explained. "All you have to do is say the three words. And with each one you tell yourself you're getting calmer, more in control. Go ahead."
Liam began to repeat the words over and over but it wasn't working. Instead of getting calmer, he seemed to be getting angrier. Stiles moved away from Liam. "Derek, I don't think the powerful talisman of self-control is working." Liam leapt up, shaking the van. He broke free from his chains and Braeden called for Derek.
"Am I needed?" Elaine asked.
"No." Derek yelled back. He looked back at Liam. "Say it again."
"I think we're going to need to go a little faster!" Stiles yelled.
"We're almost there." Braeden yelled back to them.
"Derek, I don't think Alpha, Beta, Omega, is resonating with him." Stiles quickly said, trying to stay away from the uncontrollable wolf.
"You know any other mantras?" Derek snapped.
"Yeah, I do." Stiles nodded before looking at Liam. "Liam. Liam. What three things cannot long be hidden?" Liam growled and turned back to Derek. "Liam, look at me! What three things cannot long be hidden? What three things?"
Liam looked at him, panting. "Sun. . . the moon. . . the truth."
Stiles nodded. "That's it. Say it again."
"Sun, the moon, the truth."
"Derek?" Elaine asked, looking at Liam with worry.
Derek nodded his head. "We're okay."
Liam kept repeating the words until he had control. Elaine was even repeating the words in her head, keeping her jaw clenched. They finally pulled up the church and Liam smiled. "I can't believe I did it. I thought I was going to tear the two of you apart."
Stiles nodded. "Yeah. That would've made for an awkward ride home. So, thanks."
"Think you can bring the same level of control and strength inside La Iglesia?" Derek asked him.
Liam brought out his claws on his own and Stiles nodded. "Alright, we might be able to actually do this."
Derek opened the back of the van door and was met with a berserker. The berserker grabbed hold of him and threw Derek roughly to the ground. He stabbed Derek over and over with one of his bones and Braeden quickly got out of the car and began shooting it. They all quickly got out of the car once the berserker went away and Braeden ran over to Derek who was panting heavily. Peter stared at his nephew with fear in his eyes. "How bad is it?"
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Derek waved them off. "Just get to Scott." None of them moved. "Just find him. We'll be right behind you. Go. Go!" Peter went first, Malia and Liam following. "Hey, hey." He looked at Elaine and Stiles. "Save him." Stiles looked at him for a moment before walking away, grabbing Elaine's hand as he did so.
They made it inside the church and Elaine made a ball of light appear in her hand. It was so dark inside of the church. Bones seemed to cover it from head to toe. It brought a shiver through her body. They went running through the church when Peter suddenly yelled at them to stop. "We gotta figure out where we are, then we gotta figure out how to find Scott and Kira."
Suddenly, Stiles' phone began to ring. He looked at it, confused. "How do I even have service. . . Hi, Dad." Stiles quickly answered the phone. Stiles walked away from them and Peter just looked at the rest of them in disbelief. "Okay, dad, I know you're angry."
"Oh, I'm beyond angry. I've reached a level of fury you could not possibly comprehend."
"Okay, well, when I get back you can ground me."
"Ground you? Ground you? I am going to hobble you! Now, please tell me you're alright. Tell me that you're safe."
"You want me to lie?"
Noah sighed. "Oh, God. Okay. Tell me, tell me what I can do. How can I help?"
"Find Lydia." Stiles answered. "She was at the school when we called Mason to look for her, but now we're not hearing back from either of them. I don't know, Dad, I don't know what I'm doing. You know, I'm just. . . I'm just trying to save my friends."
"Okay. I'll find Lydia and Mason. You get Kira and Scott. You save your friends."
"Dad, if it's one of the berserker's at the school, you're gonna need firepower. A lot." Stiles then hug up the phone and walked back over to them.
"What do we do now?" Liam asked.
"Duck." Malia answered before grabbing Liam and pulling him down just as a berserker swung at him.
