so i did this make your own monster challenge and i think it turned out pretty well seeing as i did it completely digitally and i dont do digital art much

so the challenge was:

make the skin your fav color (mine is midnight blue)

make the eyes the color of your birthstone (i was born in march so aquamarine is mine)

make the hair the color of the shirt you're wearing (when i started this i was wearing a light blue sweater)

give the character a third eye if you wear glasses (i do lol)

so here's what i came up with!

beginning sketch, just to map out the basics and where i wanted everything to go

a little more detailed concept sketch

base colors + layers/building up the colors

final result!!

i had a few different options for how i wanted the background so its either that dark blue base color in the one i showed above, or this one with glitter/stars in the background:

so yeah!!

im really satisfied with the way it turned out, her eyes are so pretty 😍 

also her hair turned out really good 

her lips and eyebrows are kinda ✨funky✨ but she's beautiful anyway so we're gonna ignore her flaws because everyone's beautiful in their own way
