AUTHOR'S POV
DING DONG!
Taehyung was in the living room reading newspaper while Y/n was in the kitchen drinking coffee with a book on the counter.
The doorbell rang. As they were expecting no one early in the morning both looked at eachother's side first confused.
"Let me open the door" Sarah, their maid suggested leaving the mop on the side.
Both of them waited for Sarah to reveal the unknown guest on the other of the main door.
"Oh Sarah!" Taehyung's mom hugged Sarah gladly, she seemed to be in an energetic mood.
She stroded inside while Sarah left to her undone work chuckling at her madam.
"Come on Y/n, pack your bag fast!" that's the first thing she uttered clapping her hands in an ordering manner.
"What?" Y/n asked, puzzled.
"You have to go to your parents house, come on don't waste any time!" Taehyung's mom said.
"Parents house? Why? Did I do something-- " Taehyung threw questions calmly yet panicked.
"Oh Taehyung boy~" his mother gave a done look. "She must go to visit her parents. It's been 2 months to your wedding and Y/n did not visit her parents in so many days" she said. "Y/n, child go and pack your stuff"
"Why need to pack her stuff for that? I can take her for a visit in the evening" Taehyung suggested.
"Yeah, I think Taehyung is right" Y/n spoke with hesitation by watching both mother and son talk.
"Right?!" the mother exclaimed. "How is that right? You atleast need to visit your parents for 1 to 2 weeks!" she said.
"1 to-- 1 to 2 weeks?!" Taehyung questioned in disbelief with wide eyes.
His mother nodded. "Or what will people say, that Y/n's mother-in-law is so cruel that she doesn't let her daughter-in-law meet her parents!" she exaggerated.
Y/n chuckled low-key, "No mom, such circumstances won't take place. And I cannot afford to go for a week and two, I shall visit them on this Sunday for a day and come back at night" she made a fair decision for herself.
Why did Taehyung seemed to be against it though?
Is he going to miss her?

*Sunday morning*
As it marked a holiday today, Taehyung was the one driving Y/n to her parents house. The drive was quite as everytime it is and the silence wasn't suffocating at all, be the reason Y/n was busy doing a touch up to her face and Taehyung did not seem to be in a good mood.
"There's a bump" Taehyung spoke out of blue, Y/n paused from applying lipstick bewildered.
She quickly noticed that Taehyung saved her face from getting ruined by the lipstick. She smiled shyly and held her head low to hide her smile.
Although he wasn't in a great mood because he wasn't happy about his wife leaving on Sunday, he kept that sadness to himself and tried to show that he don't care.
"Bump, again" he said casually once again not even glancing at her once.
***
"I'll text you. Bye!" Y/n bid him before closing the car door. Taehyung nodded once with his eyes lowered, as if didn't want to watch her go even if it was for just one day.
Is he missing her already?

"Does your husband not have any manners huh? He can't even come in for greetings??" Y/n's grandmother sulked at Taehyung for not coming inside.
"Grandma, he had a very important meeting but even then he came to drop me here..." Y/n said clinging on her grandma's back. "He was already busy or else there wouldn't be any problem coming in"
"So what if he's busy, huh? Stop taking that brat's side!" her grandma yelled.
"Grandma! You can't talk ill about my husband like that, you don't even know him!" Y/n sulked back like a good wife.
"Exactly, I don't even know how he looks. Your mother just fixed your wedding without discussing it with me. That useless girl!" Grandma said flaring her nostrils.
"Then why did you not attend my wedding? Was your business more important than your granddaughter?!" Y/n pouted angrily taking a seat beside her on the bed.
"Oh my baby..." grandma embraced Y/n. "You already know that my business is more important" she said savagely.
"Grandma!!" Y/n shouted getting offended, grandma laughed.
"Sorry, love. Anyway, atleast show me what that brat looks like. Is he handsome?" she asked lighting up Y/n's mood.
"I brought my wedding album with me to show you, wait.." Y/n went to bring her wedding album.
"I have to say he sure is handsome just like his name, but he looks so cold and rude! Is he good with you?" grandma remarked gwaking at their wedding pictures.
"Grandma, you shouldn't be so fast to judge someone just by looking at their face" Y/n began to take Taehyung's side yet again. "Taehyung is a sweet guy. He don't open up much however he indeed has a great personality and we are on good terms"
"Oh God, what an ideal wife!" she praised her sarcastically. "By the way, what do you mean by 'He don't open up much' , huh?"
"Umm well....."

"What do you mean you're leaving today itself?" grandma shouted while everyone was having dinner at the dinning table.
"Grandma, I have already told Taehyung that I will return tonight, and then I have work from tomorrow so I cannot stay" Y/n explained.
"Yes mother, let her go if she already has plans" Y/n's mother said serving food.
"I don't know anything. You are not going anywhere. I have my flight for Tuesday morning, you need to stay with me until tomorrow that's it!" grandma ordered. "Tell Taehyung about it as well. It's not like I'm asking for your life"
Y/n bite her lips out of nervousness.
On call with Taehyung*
".....hence I won't be able to leave today" she said hesitating.
"Hmm" Taehyung answered with a empty reply.
"You did not leave to take me, right?"
....silence......
"No" he said sadly while sitting in the car, 2 miles away from his place, with his car parked on one side on the highway.
"That's a relief. Alright, bye!" Y/n bid with sadness laced in her tone.
Call ended*

*Same night, at Taehyung's house*
Taehyung got ready to head to the bed a little earlier tonight as it was Sunday and he also have to wake up early tomorrow morning.
Few minutes passed attempting to fall asleep, he never felt this uneasy before.
"Phew!" he puffed out the air hugging a pillow tightly while looking at the ceiling. "I didn't know that I would actually feel lonely without her" he whispered to himself sadly.
He was now familiar and used to her presence around him so it's only right if he gets lonely without his partner who is the only one who makes him happy after he returns home after having a tough day.
There was never anyone like Y/n in Taehyung's life.
He is missing her!
***
*Monday night*
"Is he coming or not?" Grandma asked Y/n with a stiffness in her tone, glaring eyes.
"Yeah, he might be here soon" Y/n said forcing a smile.
20 mins later....
Taehyung parked his car outside of Y/n's parents' house and marched in the darkness of the garden which led to the bangalow. He was walking in quietly without any thoughts but then someone's sweet laughs fell on his ears making him stop on the spot. He turned his head to the transparent big glass window on the ground floor which exposed the living room and there he spotted the owner of those chuckles. His lips twitched, he smiled, his eyes were delighted.
The respective owner was his lovely wife. Y/n.
He went closer to the window; not too close. He was happy just to see her happy from the other side. Although one day and a night isn't a long time, it would be fair to say that he still missed her presence in the house.
"Why are you staring at my granddaughter with those leering eyes, Stalker man?" Y/n's grandma asked coming behind Taehyung from nowhere scaring him.
He flinched with his eyes widened. "Leering? Leering eyes?" he asked in disbelief. "And, stalker? Mam you might not know but I---" he was cut off mid sentence for the first time in his life.
"Anyway, you might be from the house keeping. Now come here and help me!" she said dragging Taehyung by grasping his wrist in her hand and taking him with her.
"Mam--- wait my bouquet---" he tried but met no success.
By now he understood that she was Y/n's grandmother so he just quietly did as she ordered.
She brought him inside the house with her and everyone inside shifted their eyes to them.
"I brought this house keeping guy with me" grandma declared to everyone.
Taehyung was standing behind her with a big brown box in his hands.
Everyone including Y/n was shocked. Grandma took Taehyung for someone else!
"Grandma!" Y/n jogged to Taehyung. "He is not a housekeeping guy, he is Taehyung! My husband" she whined nervous.
Y/n's parents stood in disbelief in their spot. He is their son-in-law after all. The owner of the Kim empire!
Grandma turned, "Ahh, you're right. It was dark outside you see" she said like it wasn't a big deal.
"Grandma!~" Y/n whined again taking the heavy box from clueless Taehyung.
"What's with all of you?? It isn't a big deal. I just told him to pick a box" grandma yelled. "Taehyung?" she called.
"Yes?" he raised his head up.
"Did it cause you any trouble helping me?" she questioned raising her eyebrows.
"No, not at all grandmother. Actually I'm honoured" he replied with a quick grin.
"Exactly. He is a man! Don't treat him like a princess!" grandma said.
Y/n and Taehyung coughed low-key because of grandma's last sentence.
***
*After dinner*
"Thank you for inviting me for dinner, Father-in-law, Mother-in-law it was very nice to have a family dinner" Taehyung said with respect to Y/n's mom and dad while they were standing on the door.
"Love you, Mom" Y/n hugged her mom, "Love you, Dad" and then her dad.
"We shall leave then?" Taehyung asked glancing at everyone.
"Taehyung, come with me" grandma spoke after a long silence and went towards the garden, Taehyung was confused but he still followed her.

*While driving back home*
"Why did grandma gave you these lily seeds?" Y/n asked Taehyung observing the pouch of seeds.
He glanced at it.
Grandma silently walked inside the garden under the faint moon light and came with a silver satin pouch with her, while she did so, Taehyung quietly stood at one place observing her actions from behind.
"These are lily seeds" grandma said handing over the pouch to him. "Plant them tomorrow morning"
Taehyung gwaked at her confused and blank as to why she gave him lily seeds.
Grandma smiled, "I'm glad that my granddaughter found a man like you" she said genuinely. "Y/n has a pure heart, she's very innocent and totally unknown of many things including the married couple stuff. I was very concerned about what kind of man you were. Honestly, I did not wanted her to get married to a business man who would just use her for power and kids, but when she told me about your relationship status I was actually very happy" she explained.
"Thank you for being nice to her and for understanding her. I'm sure you both will soon get closer if you try. So take these lily seeds as a gift and don't think that this is a cheap kind of gift! If I give you flowers, consider yourself lucky" she told, "I haven't given any man flowers except your grandpa"
Taehyung chuckled, then stopped instantly.
"Lilies symbolizes pure love and innocence, so when you watch them you will be reminded of both, purity and innocence between your relationship. I wish you both grow with these lilies!" she blessed them. "Now tell me, can there be any better gift than this?"
Taehyung chuckled in his mouth, "Thank you, grandmother. This is the second best gift I have ever received"
"I hope what I'm guessing about the first gift is right" grandma sneered. "Oh, but cut off with that extra formality! You make me feel like I'm in the 90s era" she snapped hitting Taehyung on his arm, making him grin hard. "This polite punk, I swear!"
***
"Uh that, she asked me to grow them in our garden" he replied.
"Oh, wait-wait-wait-wait--!" she shouted out of blue.
"Wh-why?" he stopped the car.
"Korean pancakes!" Y/n uttered, he hummed in confusion. "I want to eat pancakes. I'm carving them suddenly" she spoke biting her lips. "If won't take long, I'll just have two" she requested.
"Alright, let's go" he nodded and unbuckled his seat belt.
"Ummmm it's so delicious!" she said savoring the pancake on the street.
Taehyung observed her as she was having the best time of her life and wondered if she's really an adult, she gets happy over little things and enjoys every moment like it's her last. This was unlikely for someone like him who prefers to stay quiet and unexcited even after cracking the biggest deals at the company. She was like a new kind of person in his world.
Y/n's eyes fell on him watching her, he immediately looked infront. "Hmmm, taste it" she forwarded the pancake.
Taehyung shook his head making an 'ew' expression. "No" he denied politely.
"Why?? Just have one bite, it's really tasty!" she forced forwarding the pancake more. "Just one bite!" she exclaimed.
He took a deep breath. Couldn't deny his stubborn wife more.
He took a bite.
Nom nom nom.....
Taehyung raised his eyebrows in incredulity.
"This is actually....." he began.
"Good?" Y/n asked with high hopes.
"It's actually very good!" he gave his honest review. "Give me one please" he ordered to the owner of the street shop. "May I have more than one?" he asked Y/n.
"Yes!" she nodded giggling at his cute reaction to a simple pancake.
***
"I never really had street pancakes because they are very sweet and oily. Anyway, they were delicious" he said unlocking their house door.
"This is why you should try everything before judging it" she spoke from behind him.
Taehyung placed his hand on his stomach, "Oh, I guess I ate quite a lot of pancakes" he said to himself squeezing his eyes.
"Yeah, I know right? Let me make coffee for us" she said by hearing him.
"No wait, let me make the coffee today" he appealed going inside the kitchen ahead of her.
"Oh? You know how to make coffee?" she questioned fascinated.
"There isn't any thing that Kim Taehyung cannot do" he praised himself proudly.
"There is one thing though" she snapped taking a seat on the kitchen chair infront of the counter.
He raised his eyebrows.
"Socializing" she remarked, he gave a small smile getting caught by his wife. "That day.....when I asked you to bring me that orange pomeranian from a stranger, it would've been difficult for you, right?" she felt sorry.
"Y/n, I'm a business man. I meet hundreds of strangers daily. Yeah, I am bad at socializing but I am capable of talking to different people without getting anxious. And I am an Introvert, not socially awkward. I choose who comes in my circle" he explained, she nodded taking notes.
While Y/n was observing him, he smelled coffee before putting it into the machine.
Her eyes almost popped out and her expressions were like:
1) He just did not smell coffee.
2) Did he really smell coffee?
3) Taehyung actually smelled coffee.
His attention shifted to her unhidden facial expressions and he understood the problem. "I know, it's weird" he said making a poker face.
"No, it's not weird. Absolutely not! What's actually weird is that I still sleep with a teddy even after being a mature adult" she said abruptly, smiling awkwardly.
"Yep" he mumbled under his breath clearing agreeing that her sleeping with a teddy is weird.
"Excuse me?" she voiced hearing his faint answer.
"No, none of us are weird" he replied trying to save himself "We are just people with different opinions. I mean, it is what it is." he shrugged completing his sentence.
"I think you're right" she spoke grinning as she finally realised that she is not weird. "Actually, I like this attitude of yours. You are always confident about yourself, your words, everything you do and that's cool!" she praised Taehyung. "Always be this way!" she gave a thumbs up.
He scoffed, "I'm too old to be praised like that"
