Today as usual, Pihu rested on her bed, her hand gently caressing her belly. It has slightly showing up.Her shoulder which she got bullet is still covered with a bandage .The doctor had strictly instructed her to remain on bed rest for at least a few months to ensure a smooth pregnancy journey.

In all these days, Raghav had become a protective bear for Pihu.He is the one who always helps her in taking bath to dress up her wound.

Everything. 

Whenever she tried to do something, she always received a good lecture from him in return. It had been a few days since her discharge from the hospital, and Ritu had not even shown her face. It felt like Ritu had completely isolated herself from Pihu. Every time Pihu watched the door, she hoped that today would be the day Ritu would come to meet her. But that day never came till now.

Whenever Pihu brought up the topic of Ritu, Raghav always had one excuse or another.But today, Pihu decided that enough was enough. She was going to meet Ritu at night. She doesn't understand what happened to this girl but today she will clear everything.

On the other hand,

Ritu is sitting in front of the mirror. She has bathed just now and was trying to put the medicine on her wounded areas.

It's been many days she has not seen her bhabhi. The truth is she misses her a lot but she can't do anything right now other than maintaining distance from her. The more she stays away from her the better it will be good for her. She smiles sadly.

Her trance gets broken down when she heard a knock at her door.

‘Ritu?’ a person shouts from outside her door.

‘Haa come in. The door is unlock’ she shouts back.

It was Shreyansh.

He was holding one packet in his hand. He was wearing a casual black tshirt and grey trousers. The shirt is hugging him tightly through his biceps making him incredibly handsome. He smiles at her.

Ritu’s heart flutters seeing him. She could easily feel her heartbeat going crazy with his act.

‘ I mean..am I disturbing you?’ he ask her in hesitation seeing her cotton in her hand..

She shakes her head, ‘No not at all..I was just applying the medicine…you sit in the bed..it will be done in a few seconds’.

She turns back towards the mirror taking a deep breath trying to calm her racing heartbeat.

She was about to apply it but shreyansh held her hand. 

She startled.

‘Let me apply it’ he softly said her.

‘Its ok Shreyansh, I can do it.’ she shakes her head looking down.

‘ I’ll not hurt Ritu. You can trust me’ he murmurs taking the cotton from her hand..

She could feel  butterfly in her stomach. She couldn't say no to him because she trust him.

 He helps her in applying the antiseptic in her bruises on her wrist and arms.

All the time she was staring at him with her love filled eyes. He was blowing the area such that she got bruises but he was feeling the pain..

He applies the ointment on her bruised lips..

Her eyes fills with tears feeling his gentleness..

‘Are you feeling pain?’ he murmurs.

‘ How can I feel pain ,when you are treating me so gently??’ she murmurs last part…

He cups her cheek, ‘ then why this tears huhh?? You know tear doesn't suit on strong girls’.

She nods her head gulping the lump form on her throat.

He bends down on his knees as he places her both feet on his thigh..

‘Shreyansh’ she gasps.

But he didn't react instead he started dressing her ankle area.

‘Done’ he announced putting her  both feet down.

He opens the container which he had brought from home. He has has brought chicken noodles for his sister and fried rice and chilli chicken for her.

‘Fried rice and chilli chicken??’ she grins excitedly…

‘You like it?’ he ask seeing her smiling face..

‘How do you know,I have had a craving for chili chicken from few days?’ she ask him..

‘ There is nothing in this world that I don't know about you.. I know everything’ he confess..

He feeds her with his own hands as she happily digs in.

Later that evening,

Ritu was passing by her bhaiya's room. The door was slightly open. Her gaze automatically falls inside to see her bhabhi is trying to hold the jar to pour water for her medicine but she was not able to do it with her one hand as the other hand was blocked. Her face scrunched with slight pain.She looked around to see that her bhaiya is not present..

‘Ahhh…’ Pihu shouts as the glass jar falls down from her hand on the floor..

‘Bhabhi !!’ Ritu shouts as she barg inside  pushing her gently on the bed as glass pieces can get inside her feet…

‘Are you crazy bhabhi huh?? Who told you to pick up the jug on your own huh??’ she starts to scold her…

Pihu tries to speak.. ‘Ritu listen…’

But Ritu cuts off her words, ‘No bhabhi you listen to me first ..when bhaiya has clearly ask you not to do any work on your own. You know that you still have not recovered fully!!’ 

Pihu silently listening to her scolding, ‘There is no one present Ritu .. that’s why–’

‘So what ?? You could have called me right . Who asked you to behave like a superwoman??’ Ritu asks angrily as she cleans the floor properly..

She pour some water in the glass and helps her in taking the medicine..

‘ How could have I called you Ritu?? Since the day we have  discharged,you have never came to meet me ,or enter my room..’ she asked her with a sad smile.

Hearing her words ,Ritu freezes in her spot. 

‘It's not like that bhabhi, doctor has asked you to take rest ..to sleep well ..so..’ Ritu says with stammering..

‘ Yes he has told me to take proper rest but didn't ask me not to talk with your family members..not to talk with your sister right??’ she ask her, staring deeply into her eyes..

Ritu kept mum as she silently took the glass from her hand..

‘Is it done or you want to give me more excuses like this??’ 

‘You’re thinking too much bhabi …i’m not giving any excuses…you rest bhabhi, I'll come after some time’ she tries to leave but Pihu holds her hand stopping her.

Ritu's eyes fill with tears as she blink her eyelashes repeatedly..

‘You can’t escape from me this time Ritu..not until you tell me what is troubling you?? You can escape from anyone but not from me bachaa’..

Ritu wipes her tears trying her best to not broke infront of her bhabhi but failing miserably…she doesn't want her bhabhi to suffer anymore for her…

Pihu drags her and make her sit beside her …

‘What happen bacha??’ she rubs her hand..

She shakes her head looking down..

She lifts her chin making her look into her eyes.

‘If you don't share your problem with me then how I clear it?? You know how much I'm missing you?? missing our talks our gossip…our happy moments?? You only tell me right that I'm your best friend who you feel safe to share everything..then what happened now?? Why are ignoring me bacha?? Did I do something wrong ??’

Ritu shakes her head, ‘ No bhabhi you didn't do anything wrong. It was me who has done wrong with you bhabhi…I'm at fault bhabhi …’

Pihu looks at her confusingly.

‘ Just because of me you fall in danger bhabhi .. Just because of me you suffered so much …your baby suffered so much’ she cries…

‘What are you telling bacha?? How come it's you fault?? It's all done by that bastard. We both are the victim of his cruelty’ Pihu says wiping her tears.

Ritu shook her head, finally letting her guilt out.

“This happened because he wants revenge for his father. The root cause is me. If I hadn't told you and bhaiya about the harassment, then all this wouldn’t have occurred.”

Pihu’s eyes widened in shock at Ritu’s words. “Are you mad, Ritu?” she shouted.

Ritu flinched at her tone.

“Do you even know what you’re saying? How can this be your fault? Who put this stupid thought in your mind?” Pihu shouted, her voice filled with disbelief.

Ritu’s eyes filled with fresh tears as she looked at Pihu. “I just feel like if I had stayed silent, none of this would have happened.”

“No, Ritu staying silent would have given him more power. Both father and son is a pure  psycho ,they loves to play and torture with girls. You showed incredible courage by standing up for yourself. I’m so proud of you for that. You have to believe that none of this is your fault,Pihu said, hugging her tightly.

Ritu hugs her back this time, ‘ If anything happened to you and bab—’

Pihu gently caressed her hair. “Nothing will happen to me, nor the baby, bachaa,” she said, her own eyes misting.

 “If I had known you were feeling like this, I would have come to you myself’.

Later when Raghav came from the office as he got an emergency work there. He got slightly tense as he couldn't find Pihu in her room. But a smile appeared on his face when he saw both her and Ritu together and Ritu dozed off on her lap while his wife was massaging her hair. 

Finally everything is sorted out between them !!
